So, hirshja said this:
"I'm going to be brutally honest. Jaune joining a bandit tribe is wildly out of character, and you have given no justification for it. He seems to have had a happy childhood, since he mentioned his sisters, and you have given no indication of anything happening at Beacon that would've changed his worldview drastically enough for this change. He joined Beacon because he wanted to be a hero, and now he's joining a group that hurts and kills people for profit. When using pre-existing characters, there needs to be an established reason for that type of change, and it needs to be established early and often"
And I'll admit, of course, Jaune is out of character. He wants to be a hero and save people, but they got one thing wrong, a reason for such a change or justification for a person doesn't always have to be told right away. I can't write the Justifications of his change without Jaune giving his reasons to someone for some reason
While it is true that motivation for the change of a character should be at least given no matter what, it doesn't have to be fully explained right away, but instead, I prefer if such changes were hinted at.
If I told you the reason why Jaune joined Raven at the beginning of the story, it wouldn't be that interesting, which is one small reason why people are interested in this story. Some are in it for the pairing, some actually love the story, and others are wondering why Jaune decided to join and abandon his friends in the first place, and that's why people are interested in this version of Jaune, because deep in their minds, without them realizing it, they wanna know the "WHY".
As for what happened at Beacon, a whole lot of shit happened that could have changed his worldview, even slightly.
Anyway, I was just wanted to respond to this, and this isn't me telling hirshja they're wrong, no this is just me addressing some issues that they have about my story and explaining why these issues exist. I'm just simply making a small counter-argument as to why
Anyway, back to the story!

Jaunes eyes widened and he quickly sat up and looked around, scanning for any danger as he regained consciousness, he expected his escape with Natasha to be just a dream, but he was proven wrong when his eyes landed on his surroundings, he appeared to be in a small room with two beds on either side of each other, a small table in the corner and a TV atop a shelf and another room which was no doubt a bathroom.
He sighed in relief and he got up slowly but when he stood up fell forward but he got himself as he landed on his hands and his knees, suddenly, he heard a door opened and he turned his head slowly and saw Natasha walk and look at him, a bit of worry in her face, she dropped a bag that was in her hand as she rushed over to him and kneeled down next to him
"Arc! Are you ok?" She asked
Jaune nodded slowly, "y-yes" he replied "I just need help up," he said
Natasha nodded and helped him to his feet, she let go of him and Jaune was able to balance himself finally, and Natasha let go of his arms and he managed to stand up perfectly and balance himself. Natasha smiled in relief and she then walked to the bag that she dropped and picked it up and handed it to him. Jaune was confused but took the bag.
"What's this?" He asked
"A new pair of clothes for you, since you need to wash the one's you're in," Natasha said "Before that, you might want to take a bath in the hot spring just outside, after you clean up I'll take you to the nearest doctor and have you checked before returning you to Raven Branwen"
Jaune nodded and with his bag in hand, he headed outside of the room and walked to the Hotspring. Once he was outside of the room, he saw a few signs that directed him to the hot springs, he also noticed that there were other secluded and small buildings around his little room, no doubt this was some sort of hotel. Jaune began to make his way to the Hotspring, passing by a few people who looked at him and stared at him, no doubt wondering what had happened to him, he was covered in some bandages after all and the dirt and blood showed on his body, staining it almost.
Finally making it to the hot spring, he found a secluded changing booth and went inside. He changed out of his dirty clothes, and once he was fully naked, he wrapped a towel around him, just to cover up his privets in case anyone was out there. Once he was there, he hanged the towel up nearby and walked in the hot spring. He could feel the warm water against his skin and he enjoyed the sensation, it had been a while since he had a hot bath. He now fully sat down in the Hotspring and sighed in relief as the feeling of relaxation took over him.
"Looks like your enjoying the bath very much"
Jaune turned around quickly, as he looked to see Natasha standing just a little bit behind him, a towel covering her chest and lower region. Jaune was surprised to see her here
"what are you doing here?" He asked with a bit of a startled looked
"It's a unisex Hotspring," She told him "Did if forget to mention that?" She asked with a bit of a smirk
"Yes... you did" Jaune replied with a neutral tone
Natasha then slowly unwrapped her towel and Jaune looked away for a bit and then heard her entering the spring with a low sigh. He turned back to see that she sat across from him, her boobs and her lower region now being covered by the hot steamy water. Natasha was enjoying the warm water, however, she could feel Jaune's eyes looking at her
"What?" She asked, looking back at him
"Why save me?" he asked "Is this some trick that your father planned out? give me a false sense of hope before killing me?" Jaune asked
Natasha glared at him a little bit, but she quickly calmed herself and realized he did have every right to think in such a way. "No" She replied "this isn't some trick"
"Again, why?" He asked
"because I swore that no harm would come to you," Natasha said "When I told my father that I swore no harm would come to you and he ignored that, I knew he had broken one of the many rules that the Bandit tribes follow, and that is when you swear to do something, you must honor your words, break them, and other tribes as well as your own, have no reason to trust you"
"So you saved me in order to keep your vow to Vernal?" Jaune asked, he then scoffed, "Didn't do a good job so far huh? I feel terrible for the next person you trust there lives with your false promises" Jaune said
Hearing this, Natasha stood up and faced Jaune, who looked up at her in shock. She glared at him in anger, not worrying that she had just exposed herself to the young adult in front of her.
"While I understand that you're angry with me for not saving you sooner, and I do feel guilty for it, I will not let you talk like that to me," She said "I saved you when I knew I could, If I had done it sooner, withing my town, my father would have caught us both and the both of us would have died"
She stood up still glaring at him and Jaune put his head down in shame, and Natasha slowly sat back down in the Hotspring. Jaune looked down into the water for a bit before raising his head and looking at her
"Your right, I'm sorry... it's not your fault for what happened to me-"
She scoffed, "Don't mock me with your sarcasm"
"I'm not being sarcastic or mocking you... I'm apologizing" Jaune said "I'm just... angry and tired, but that is no excuse for me to make you feel guilty," He said
Natasha didn't reply as she just sat in silence in the hot water. Jaune did as well, and he closed his eyes, trying to take his mind off of what had happened to him just this past week, Jaune could feel himself also begin to tire due to the warm water, it had been a while since he actually had a good nights rest, however, even when he did, he had the nightmares, so he tried to push past his fatigue and hopefully not fall asleep and drown in the water.
"Have you ever had a bad dream that just kept haunting you?" He suddenly asked
Natasha looked at him, puzzled and confused on why he would bring up such a random question. Even Jaune himself had no idea why he had asked the question, but maybe it was the fatigue getting to him and having him open up, or maybe he just needed to vent to a stranger like Natasha, he really didn't know why, he just felt like sharing what he had been going through.
"I was there when Beacon fell and that night that it was attacked... I have nightmares of it, over and over again, it keeps haunting me, like a ghost, and when I sleep, I find myself back there... in that hell, and I relive it every night" Jaune said "Every night, I see Grimm and White-Fang attacking the grounds of Beacon, slaughtering student's, teachers, Huntsmen, and even people who couldn't defend themselves, I saw Grimm grab, bite and take off with people, I even saw people being eaten alive as they screamed in agony and pain"
Natasha listened to him as he spoke to her about the nightmare that he had to relive every time he shut his eyes. She had heard what happened at Beacon, who hadn't of course but hearing it in great detail, from someone who had witnessed and lived through such an ordeal, the story both horrified and amazed her that someone like Jaune managed to come out of such a hell uninjured.
"And then... I hear the laughter, I hear the laughter of the person who started the attack, who burned everything to the ground, the person who... who took everything from me" Jaune said "I keep hearing her laughter, taunting me..."
Tears then fell from his face and Natasha could feel his sadness and his dread as he spoke about whoever it was he talked about.
"And I hate it... that laughter!" Jaune cried in anguish, "It reminds me that I was too weak to fight her! that I was just a pathetic idiot who wanted to be a hero and protect the things he cared for! yet he couldn't even protect himself or the people that he loved... he couldn't even protect his own partner!" Jaune cried out in anger as he stood up
"It should have been me! Not her! Me! Me Oum Damnit! ME!"
However, he stood up too fast and the heat had gotten to him and he began to fall as his mind slowly tired, thankfully, Natasha caught him as quickly as she could, and once again, fear rose into her
"ARC!" She cried as she held him "Someone help! Stay with me Arc!"
"Jaune... my names is Jaune..." Jaune muttered to her as he once again blacked out
