Over the next few days Olivia and Alex both got lost in their work but still sent sweet texts checking in with each other. While Olivia was filling out stacks of paperwork about the latest case about to call it a night. She started packing up her things to get ready to go, thinking about a certain blonde she was missing after the hard last few days. She made it to her doorway of her office looking down at her phone debating on calling Alex to see if she would be free to talk. While Olivia was looking down at her phone she didn't notice the blonde that was on her mind was walking into the squad room. Alex walked in the squad and noticed Olivia was not paying attention and smirked a little.

" You look like hell" Alex commented before Olivia could walk into her.

Olivia's head shot straight up in surprise.

" You look great too , thanks counselor " Olivia said, rolling her eyes with no real sting behind it.

" I was hoping I'd find you here captain " Alex said without skipping a beat.

Kat looked up from her desk with interest.

"You're in luck I was just on my way out" Olivia said smiling to the blonde in front of her.

"So you have a few minutes to spare then?" Alex questioned giving her a soft smile.

"For you? Always" Olivia quipped back and felt the flush on her face right after. She cleared her throat in embarrassment "too much?" Olivia asks.

"Oh, not nearly enough" Alex beams in return.

"Have fun, you kids. I'm outta here" Fin says, shutting down his computer and passing them on his way out.

"Now he has the right idea, let's get out of here." Alex said pointing towards Fin.

They walked out of the squad slightly bumping shoulders with each other.

"So I saw your TV debut" Alex teased.

"I barely got a word in about the awareness I was there to talk about" Olivia said shaking her head.

" I noticed" Alex nodded

"It actually turned into a difficult case but we got to the bottom of it. I just don't understand how people can do the things they do to people who they are suppose to care about" Olivia sighed out

"Are you even surprised by anyone?" Alex questioned

"No, still mind boggling though" Olivia replied "but, only a lighter note, what were you wanting to do?"

"I was hoping we could get dinner and drinks, unless you have something else in mind?" Alex questioned

"That sounds great" Olivia replied.

On the way to the restaurant Olivia texted Amanda and asked how Noah was since him and Jessie were having a playdate tonight. She said everything was fine and asked if he could stay over. Olivia agreed and was looking at a Noah free evening. She looked over at Alex in the back of the taxi they hailed and just felt immensely at ease, reaching over and she took Alex's hand in hers. Alex looked over and gently squeezed smiling back. Arriving at the restaurant they used to frequent years before, they had no problem getting seated. After looking over the menu and giving their orders they settled quietly until the waiter left.

" Where is Noah tonight? Alex asked

"Amanda's, she's having a playdate for her daughter Jessie and Noah. Apparently they are having such a good time she asked if he could stay" Olivia replied cheekily

"Oh? And what are you going to do on this new Noah free evening?" Alex questioned raising a playful eyebrow

"I'm sure I'll think of something" Olivia quipped back with a smirk.

Alex hmmed in return taking a sip of her wine.

"It seems you've had a busy few days too" Olivia mentioned.

"I have,I feel like I've just been buried in paperwork." Alex confesses. "I wish we could do this more often" she sighs

Olivia nodes with a half smile.

"Me too, but at least we have this here and now" Olivia replied and Alex smiles grateful that they do have the moments they get to have.

The food arrived and after light conversation and a couple of glasses of wine, they were through with dinner. Alex finished off her glass and gave Olivia a seductive smirk.

"Ready to get out of here?" She asks, raising her eyebrow.

"Absolutely" Olivia said, raising her arm for the check.
