I'm Back! Are you happy to see me and this story again!? Better be!
I know It's been a while and Volume 8 ended just some time ago, and Hopefully, I should be getting back to this story!
I'll admit, I've been a bit lazy when it comes to this story, but never the less, I will not abandon it! however, Since I also got new stories published and some other new ones coming, so I'll be updating the newer ones more, as well as working on new stories and their plots, but before I even do that, I will be making sure that this story is finished before I start publishing new stories, so expect this to be getting updated a whole lot more!

Chapter 4: I'll be good
Neo had been slowly sneaking around the whale. It was night, and thankfully the Grimm Queen and Cinder were most likely asleep, well maybe not the Queen herself of Cinder had to be. Neo sneakily headed to the small Airship that she and Cinder had arrived on.
However, as soon as she approached the Airship, her Scroll buzzed and she quickly picked it up up and saw that it was a text from Jaune, she was thankful that he finally picked up and she was going to text her back until he sent another message her way, she read it and once she was done, she smiled and pocketed her Scroll, however, something sharp pressed against her back.
Neo's eyes widened and she turned her head slowly, only to be met with the fiery eyes of Cinder.
"Going somewhere Neo?" Cinder asked with a smirk

Jaune now woke up, his eyes snapping open and the first thing he saw was the night sky. he slowly got up but then winced in pain, he lifted up his shirt only to see a bandage wrapped around his torso
"Holy shit... you're actually alive"
Jaune's eyes widened as he turned his head to the right only to See Mercury, Emerald, and Hazel by a fire. Jaune was shocked but he looked around for his sword only to remember he had left up there.
"Easy now, we won't hurt you," Hazel said
Jaune just glared at him, "And I should believe you why?" Jaune asked
"You can try to fight us, but your wound still hasn't full healed despite the amount of Aura you have," Hazel said "Besides, I have some questions for you," Hazel said
Jaune then looked at him for a few moments before finally walked over to where the three were sitting and sat in between Emerald and Mercury as he looked at Hazel
"What do you wanna know?" Jaune asked him
Hazel smiled a little bit, thankful that this didn't lead to a fight, "About Tyrian, did you kill him?" Hazel asked
Jaune nodded
Mercury and Emerald were a bit surprised at that, but Mercury was skeptical.
"Bullshit" Mercury said "I've seen you fight, no way did you kill him"
Jaune then turned to the grey-haired teen and glared at him, "I forgot your all Brawn and no brains Merc, There's more than one way to kill a person without kicking" Jaune said
Mercury stood up and then glared at him, "What the fuck did you say!?"
"Merc, take it easy!" Emerald yelled
"Sit down," Hazel told him calmly
Mercury looked at them and scoffed before he sat back down, still glaring daggers at Jaune
"So, how did you kill him?" Hazel asked
"It wasn't easy, I knew I couldn't beat him in a one-on-one, his skill still surpasses mine, but I was smarter than him," Jaune said "I let my guard down on purpose so he could stab me in the side, once he did, I quickly stabbed him with my sword and after that, I left my sword in him and then I fainted near the edge of the crater and fell," Jaune said
Hazel nodded as he heard the story, "that explains why I found Tyrian's scroll on you" Hazel said "He always said that if someone killed him he'd somehow make sure they'd live, from what I'm guessing, once you stabbed him, he quickly hid his scroll on you so that either I or Watts would find you"
"What if Cinder found me?" Jaune asked
"I doubt it," Hazel said "We knew she was most likely here because she failed Salem, and the only way to get back on her good graces was to either steal the maiden's powers or the relic if she successfully did either of those things, she'd have to stay with her since Salem wanted to keep her close for some reason," Hazel said
"I doubt she'll listen," Jaune said "Cinder fears Salem, but she's also power-hungry, she'll do anything if it means she'll be Salem's top dog, no doubt she thinks that Salem is holding her back"
Hazel nodded in agreement
"Now I have got some questions for you" Jaune asked
Hazel looked at him with a bit of a confused look, wondering what the Blond teen could ask him about
"If I told you there was a way to beat Salem, would you turn on her?" Jaune asked
the three of them looked at Jaune with confused looks at him
"And how would you do that?" Hazel asked
Jaune smiled "First I need to know something," Jaune asked
"What is it?" Mercury asked
"Do any of you happen to have my scroll?"

That night in Mantle, in a secured part of the city, The large group of citizens and our team of Heros camped out. Thankfully, there were some citizens that knew how to hunt and most of all, they knew how to carry a gun. So thankfully, the four weren't the only ones who could fight.
Yang, Oscar, and Ren were by the fire and watched as Fiona made a call to Joanna and May. The three looked at her before turning back to the fire.
"Any word from Ruby and the others?" Oscar asked
Yang shook her head, "No, they haven't called at all or even sent us a message" She said "I'm a little worried"
"I'm sure they're fine" Oscar said "They can handle themselves"
"Still... I can't help but worry, despite what's happened and our little falling out, they're up there with him" Yang said
Oscar nodded, "He'll try everything he can to get his hands on Penny and make sure that Atlas is safe... they really shouldn't have gone"
"Well we couldn't stop them... they made their decision," Ren said
Just then, Fiona joined them and looked at them with a bit of a smile on her face
"Good news, May and Joanna will be coming here soon and they'll be bringing some weapons that Robyn had stored up," Fiona said
"That's good," Yang said "it means more people will be able to defend themselves"
Fiona nodded, and she then took a seat next to Yang and across from the two boys. "Any Idea on what to do after we get the people to safety?" She asked
"Were were just talking about that and we don't know either" Ren said
"We could go and check to see if Professor Polendina can come up with anything," Oscar said
"That won't work, last time we saw him was in Amity remember?" Ren asked
Oscar sighed, "Crap!" Oscar cried in a hushed tone
Just then, Yang's scroll beeped and they all looked to her as she grabbed out her Scroll and looked at it. On it was a Caller ID and it was Ruby. Yang quickly answered the call and Picked it up
"Ruby? what's going on?" Yang asked
[Yang! you won't believe this!] Ruby said, her voice sounding hoarse and a little bit sad, [We just got a text! From Jaune!]
Yang was shocked to hear this, "What!? Ruby that's... that's impossible..." Yang replied
[I know, but as soon as we managed to get up to Atlas, we got the text from Jaune and at first, we thought it was a trick, but then we got a call and it was him! I know it was!] Ruby cried
Yang was still shocked she couldn't believe this was happening, Jaune was still alive!? but how!? he had to have fell!? how did he survive that big of a fall!?
[He said to meet him back at the Professor's home] Ruby told her sister [we already called Maria and the Professor and told them to meet us there and then we called you guys, so we're heading back down to meet up with Jaune]
Before Yang could get another word in, Ruby ended the call and Yang still looked shocked as she slowly moved her scroll away from her ear
"Yang? what was that about," Oscar asked
Yang then looked over to them, her face still showing shock as she told them
"They got a call..." Yang said
"From who?" Fiona asked
"From Jaune... he's alive," Yang said

From the sky, rushing down like a rocket, an airship crashed into the ground hard. and after the sudden impact, the pilot side opened up and Neo crawled out of the ship, and when she was out she seemed to be very injured, her left arm and three glass objects in it, and she had a large gash on across her chest and also a few nasty burns on her back, neo looked around and found herself just a mile outside of the city.
She winced as she felt the cold air hit her wounds, but pushed through the pain and began to walk to the City, hoping she could get to the meeting point Jaune had told her about. She also hoped that didn't faint along the way, she didn't want to become Grimm food anytime soon
However, she also failed to notice that the Hound atop the City wall, looking for its prey...
