It didn't take long for me to find an enemy down here. How do I know this? Simple, really. I can hear moaning and movement ahead of me. As the moaning grows louder, a figure reveals itself from the darkness. It is female with skin looking pale and sickly, her clothes are bloody and torn. There are bloodstains on her mouth and milky eyes that seem to be looking at me.

'Observe.'

Zombie

Level 5

100/100 HP

100/100 SP

Description: A zombie that wondered its way towards you. Your first encounter in the dungeon.

"Hmm… maybe I should try using my skill." I take a deep breath and begin to concentrate on the weapon that I want. My aura flares as black mist converges in front of me, forming the [Magnum] from the Resident Evil series.

See when thinking about zombies, the first thing that comes to my mind is Resident Evil since I grew up playing the series and everything, so it's kind of been beaten into my head.

I take aim and shoot, hitting the zombie in the chest. The instant I do, however, the construct immediately breaks and vanishes. I let out an irritated groan, "this is ridiculous…" I look back at the zombie, unfazed by the bullet wound in its chest (because it's a zombie, of course). "Observe."

Zombie

Level 5

62/100 HP

100/100 SP

My eyes are wide as dinner plates as I stare at its stats. "The magnum only took 38 HP!? That's bullshit!" The zombie notices the loud noise and reacts by charging at me.

Seeing no other choice, I rush at the monster and knee it in the stomach before following it with an elbow to the face, pushing it back. The zombie's body twitches as it kneels forward, its face crushed as rotted teeth fall to the ground and eyes bulging out of their sockets.

"Eww." It is all I could say to the sight in front of me, now I have to put it out of its misery. I activate [Aura Emission] and this time I decide to go for a close-range weapon. Visualizing my desired weapon, a black construct of Qrow Branwen's signature weapon [Harbinger] appears and I grab it. I leap at the zombie and bring the construct down resulting in its body being split in half.

You have killed Zombie! You have gained 50 EXP! You have gained 10 lien!

[Aura Emission LVL. 2/100]

Just like with the gun, the [Harbinger] construct quickly vanishes. "This is gonna be a problem…" If the constructs can only be used once, then I'm in trouble. I wouldn't last long without a weapon and melee isn't exactly the best option when going against zombies.

[You need to level up the skill if you want the constructs to last longer. You can do this through either fighting or training]

"Well, at least now I'll have something to keep my mind occupied for a while." I doubt there's anything actually fun to do at the camp that doesn't revolve around strength and such; muscleheads the lot of them.

As I walk further in, I come across what looks to be a wooden chest. "Is that a Treasure Chest?" I go to the chest and open it only to find what looks to be an old battered book. The minute I touch it it begins to glow and disappears in my hand.

Skill added [Fireball]

[Fireball LVL. 1/100]

250 MP to cast

1st Tier magic. Sends a fireball at target dealing (50+INT) Fire damage, deals an extra 25 damage to any target within a 2-meter radius with a slight chance of [Burning] dealing 10 fire damage for every 5 seconds.

Damage will increase by 10 every 10 levels.

MP cost will decrease by 10 every 10 levels.

"Finally I can use magic!" I exclaim; took you long enough. "Though what does '1st Tier' mean?"

[Each Skill Book falls under a specific tier or level. The condition of the book will tell you what tier the skill belongs to.

1st tier - Common

2nd to 5th tier - Uncommon

6th to 8th tier - Rare

9th to 12th tier - Super Rare

Super Tier - ?

The Skill Book you found falls under 1st Tier. Rare and Super Rare are somewhat hard to find even in dungeons. They are hidden very well and are sometimes guarded. This dungeon doesn't have any secret areas so you wouldn't be able to find them here]

"What about the last one, the 'Super Tier'?" I asked.

[Super Tier-type skills are more difficult to come by; only available through certain conditions or quests. They are not something humans can control or comprehend as they are akin to a God's Authority rather than a simple skill or buff. To use them would mean that you will stop being Human]

As Tobi finishes his explanation, I hear more moaning behind me and see six more zombies staggering towards me, a quick [Observe] reveals that they are all level 1; target practice.

I hold my hand out and create my first [Fireball] in my palm. It is exactly what I expected, an orb of pure fire that is suspended on my hand preventing it from burning it. I look at one of the zombies and thrust my hand, launching the spell at the monster. The effect is instantaneous as the zombie's body ignites and bursts into flames. The zombie groans as it collapses and leaves nothing but ashes.

Staring blankly at how easily the monster died, I stare at my hand before a grin forms on my face. I pull my arms apart and create two [Fireballs] in each hand. With Raven's training, I charge at the zombies and throw both [Fireballs] at two zombies before switching to create a black construct of my [Iron Sword] and cut down the third. With only two monsters left, I conjure two more [Fireballs] and kill them instantly.

I've played many RPGs with characters that use fire magic, but nothing is compared to the real thing. The heat from the flames makes me sweat and my heart has never beaten any faster; it's exhilarating. Is this how Cinder feels whenever she uses her Maiden power? If so then I can understand why she practically sacrificed her body and freedom for it. Magic is truly amazing. I don't even mind the smell of burning flesh, it isn't pleasant but if a bad smell is the price for incinerating my enemies then it's all worth it.

You have killed six Zombies! You have gained 50 EXP (x6)! You have gained 10 Lien (x6)!

Perk Gained [Pyromancer]!

[Pyromancer]

Increases damage of Fire Magic spells by 50%.

Lowers MP cost of Fire Magic spells by 50%.

Wow, my skills took a massive leap, I didn't think zombies were worth that much! And the perk is incredible, too! Now I can bring twice the pain without exhaustion!

Seeing nothing approaching, I open my inventory and select the only item that has any worth: my Legendary Gacha Ticket.

I've been thinking about it nonstop since Tobi reminded me that it is in my inventory and I would have used it by now if Raven didn't feel like looking for me; talk about terrible timing. I've had to hold my excitement throughout the day and while unlocking my Aura did distract me all it managed to do was calm my urges as I was training, but there will be nothing stopping me.

I tap the icon and my surroundings change into a diluted color as a large golden wheel suddenly appears out of nowhere with an arrow on its side. On the wheel are three options: Skills, Perks, and Items.

[Would you like to spin the wheel?]

[Y/N]

I note that the voice that asked the question wasn't Tobi and sounds robotic. Tapping the "Y" option, the wheel starts to spin rapidly. After a few seconds, the wheel begins to slow down and the arrow lands on "skills".

New Skill Acquired!

[Plunder LVL. MAX (Active)]

500 MP to cast.

A remnant of Shiro, the first Gamer, after his death at the hands of the Specter; shattering his soul and scattering his power.

Grants the power to steal stats and any ability the user may choose, adding them their own.

My legs begin to lose strength as I almost collapse at reading the description. Holy shit, this has got to be the most broken skill I've ever seen and it's already maxed out! Stealing and adding pretty much their entire being into my own is just unbelievable!

[This is the skill of the Gamer Shiro, a being who was pretty much a multiversal god. He began by taking over the role of Ainz Ooal Gown, effectively becoming a Supreme Being and the Overlord of Death and his power simply grew from there. He created this skill through another skill similar to Ainz's Greater Create Item]

"So he took on the role of Ainz? Can't really blame him, Ainz is a really powerful protagonist even without plot armor." I said, but that's when a particular detail drew my attention "Wait, it says here that Shiro died by the Specter. I'm guessing he went to the DC Universe to continue his conquest."

[Shiro was drunk off his own power. He sought to conquer the multiverse and fuck every woman he came across. He was quite the pervert. It all came crashing down, however, when he arrived at DC and was hunted down by the Specter who found him and completely destroyed him; body, mind, and soul. Think of Beerus when he uses Hakai on Zamasu. According to my files, the Admin sought to get rid of all of Shiro's data after his death, including all of the worlds he had conquered. However, it seems some of his powers persisted even after that]

"But wouldn't that also mean that Shiro somehow survived the Specter?" I asked.

[Doubt it, the only way for Shiro to survive that is if his Gamer System has somehow found a way to save his core program and hid it somewhere. Even then, that Shiro would be significantly weaker than the original as he doesn't have any of his past memories or powers]

After hearing all of that, I can't help but shiver a little at the prospect of meeting Specter myself.

Shiro was a twisted and despicable human being who was conquering universe after universe to satiate his lust, though I am thankful that he created such a useful skill like [Plunder]. My plan was originally to simply farm EXP and gather enough power to fight Salem, but with this skill? I can do so much more.

A chuckle escapes my lips, with [Plunder] my plans will go ahead of schedule. I can steal the Spring Maiden power from Raven, but why stop there? I'll take the Fall Maiden as well just to see Cinder throw a tantrum at the fact someone took her precious Maiden power. I let out an annoyed growl; bitch thinks just because she had a rough childhood means she is entitled to everything. She's worse than Vol. 1 Weiss. However, I did notice that when someone stronger and superior shows up, she becomes submissive and docile, likely due to the psychological trauma left behind by the abuse she suffered.

"She's such a hypocrite..." I spat.

[I take it you don't like Cinder that much]

I let out a huff. In truth, I choose RWBY just to make Cinder and Salem suffer. After learning their past and watching Volumes 7 and 8, I realized that the cast wouldn't be able to beat Cinder, let alone Salem, just by simply fighting them off. To hurt them, truly hurt them, you need to take away everything.

Their pawns.

Their powers.

Their ambition.

Make them see just how vulnerable and weak they truly are under that façade of theirs. And then when that's done, I will put them down like the monsters that they paint themselves to be.

A Universe Quest has been authorized!

Quest: Immortal No More.

Salem has terrorized the World of Remnant for a long time and Ozma's incompetence has made the situation worse as the world is now on its last threat. She has grown arrogant over the centuries due to her magic and immortality, so in order to make her see just how weak she really is, you must take everything from her.

Objective 1: Kill Leonardo Lionheart

Objective 2: Kill Tyrian Callows

Objective 3: Kill Hazel Rainart

Objective 4: Kill Arthur Watts

Objective 5: Kill Cinder Fall

Objective 6: Kill Emerald Sustrai

Objective 7: Kill Mercury Black

Objective 8: Kill Adam Taurus

Objective 9: Retrieve all of the Relics

Rewards: 6,000,000 EXP, 6,000,000 Lien, Ascension

Hm?

"Hey, Tobi. Why is this one called a 'Universe Quest?'" I asked.

[A Universe Quest or World Quest is a quest that encompasses the universe as a whole. Basically the overall "objective" of this world. The rewards for these quests are enormous as you've already noticed, they are no pushovers like yours truly. Do you remember what I told you about Super-Tier skills? You can attain them through completing Universe Quests or through defeating special bosses hidden in dungeons. These quests can be completed over time, so you can take things slow]

Makes sense. As far as I know, it's still too early for the series to begin, so I should have plenty of time to get prepared. Though all the same, this is going to be one hell of a quest and the rewards will be so worth it.

With the explanation and excitement out of the way, I continue to travel into the abysmal depths of this deadly dungeon. As I continue, a creaking noise catches my attention and I decide to hide behind a nearby boulder. As the noise comes closer, I see what looks to be two zombies wearing what looks to be full body armor. The armor has seen better days; rusted to the point it doesn't actually protect them and is simply worn for show. Their weapons are in the same condition if not worse as their swords are missing their blades.

Zombie Knight

130/130 SP

Zombie Knight

Level 9

220/220 HP

130/130 SP

Description: A zombie wearing (albeit useless) armor, slightly increasing their defense.

This should be doable. A single [Fireball] is worth around 130 plus the buff I get from [Pyromancer] should make this an easy fight. I wait for the monsters to continue moving, and launch the spell at their backs. The fiery orb streaks through the air and hits their target, causing the armor to melt as they stumble forward but don't fall. I rush in and launch another [Fireball] at the two of them before the zombies could even manage to put up a fight, blasting away their torsos leaving the burning remnants of their spines.

[By hitting certain areas of your opponent's body, you will deal twice the damage than normal]

"I see, good." I said.

I continue until I reach what appears to be the deepest part of the dungeon. The area itself looks more like the inner chamber of some ancient ruins, with pillars that have vines growing on it. In the center of the chamber, there is a zombie that is larger than the regular ones I've seen. It's body is larger, the right arm in particular as it is larger than its entire body while its left arm just hangs limply a literal string of meat. Its head barely has any hair and its jaw is completely missing revealing a series of decaying and broken teeth as if it was hit by something powerful and it only managed to knock out its lower jaw.

Zombie Brute {Boss}

Level 13

440/440 HP

600/600 SP

Description: A zombie with an arm bigger than the entire body, however, despite its abnormally large limb, it is surprisingly fast and combined with its strength makes it difficult to fight close combat.

The brute roars and charges at me with insane speeds, raising its right arm in an attempt to punch me. I narrowly dodge the attack and the monster crashes into a pillar due to the momentum.

'Hmm… even though it's a boss monster, its HP is only slightly higher than a Zombie Knight but it makes up for it with its higher than average stamina. Fortunately, it doesn't look like it can control it.'

The giant monster picks itself up from the rubble before turning to my direction. With a single step, the brute is already right in front of me. I ignite my hand and throw a fireball right at its face causing it to stagger back. The monster groans in pain as it attempts to put out the fire.

This is my chance!

While it is distracted, I rush at the boss and grab its barely functioning left arm. "[Plunder]" The moment I said that word, I could feel a rush of power coursing through me making me stronger… while my opponent grows weaker. The Zombie Brute's body collapses as its strength is being stolen; it doesn't even have the strength to put out the fire in its head.

You have stolen the following:

VIT +4

STR +8

DEX +4

INT +2

WIS +1

MAG +1

LUK +3

CHA +3

Seeing that it can no longer put up a fight, I summon a black construct of [Crescent Rose] and cleave its head right off. The boss' head flies off while still burning as its body goes limp and falls backwards.

A flawless victory.

You have killed Zombie Brute! You have gained 4,000 EXP! You earned 4,400 lien!

New Dungeons unlocked!

Wow, this is just… wow. How unbalanced does the system have to be for this to be even possible!? It's so easy to exploit in fact, I might as well be playing in easy mode. I mean the dungeon boss was super easy, and grinding and the level progression are so broken.

[This version of the system is in the beta phase, so you can easily exploit it to however you please]

"Oh I will, don't you worry about that." I like using cheats, it makes games more interesting, though I don't use them a lot.

When I was playing an online session of Borderlands, someone gave me a mod gun that broke the game in half and I used it to pretty much beat the game. Or using all the cheat codes in GTA V to make my character practically invincible.

At level 100 unlocks [Polychromatism], enabling the ability to summon two giant hands, and all of the other hands at once, as well as one giant blaster.

New title [Dungeon Seeker] acquired.

[Dungeon Seeker]

Chances of item drops and treasure chests increases by 20%.

My surroundings begin to shift and change and the next thing I know, I am back in my tent. I peek my head out and see that it is late afternoon; it's like I've never even left.

[When you beat the boss, you will be instantly sent back to where you were before. Also time works differently in a dungeon, what could be hours only seconds have passed here]

"So I don't have to worry about others getting suspicious of my sudden disappearance. Good." I said as I made my way towards my bed and collapsed on the mattress.

Just then, Vernal enters my tent. "Hey, dumbass. The boss wants to see you."

I groaned in frustration. "Tell her that she can wait, I'm too tired for that."

"She wants to see you, whether you like it or not." Vernal puts emphasis on the last part.

My eye twitches in annoyance. "Then tell Raven to suck it and wait. I am too tired to deal with her shit."

Vernal narrows her and walks towards my bed. "You better give her some respect, you bastard. Raven has done nothing but give you more than a sorry fool like you deserve, so get up or I'll drag-" Vernal stops mid sentence as a black dagger graces her cheek and flies across the tent.

Black aura surrounds me as killing intent leaks out. "I JUST GOT OUT OF TRAINING! I AM TOO TIRED TO DEAL WITH EITHER YOU OR RAVEN'S SHIT RIGHT NOW, SO YOU EITHER LEAVE ME ALONE OR I WILL GOUGE OUT YOUR EYEBALLS! DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR!?"

If there's one thing I hate, is when people disturb my sleep.

Vernal merely nods before slowly stepping back and exits my tent. I can hear frantic footsteps grow further away until I can't hear anything else.

[Vernal's affection decreased by -15]

"Fuck…" My face lands on my pillow and I quickly lose consciousness.

"You're saying he has already unlocked his Semblance?" Raven asked.

Vernal merely nods, her aura still healing her cheek. The sudden burst of killing intent was not what she was expecting from a civilian, especially one that had no form of combat experience.

Raven is more interested in his Semblance. According to Vernal, Asmodeus' Semblance allows him to create constructs from pure aura, an ability that is rare even among Remnant. The only people capable of creating constructs are the Schnee family with their Glyphs. Could Asmodeus be related to the Schnees? No, Asmodeus didn't seem to share any of the Schnee traits and didn't seem to be prideful or narcissistic.

He's just… passive.

A passive and a very callous person.

When he woke up, he was a pain to deal with. Raven expected him to tremble in fear but instead he was calm, snarky, and overall annoying. He showed no signs of fear and laughed at her when she offered him to join the tribe.

When she questioned him about the loss of the village, he shrugged it right off, telling her that there was no reason to worry about the deaths of strangers and simply move on. This intrigued Raven.

When Raven told Vernal he had "potential" she was joking of course, but she's starting to think he has potential. Not only was he able to beat Vernal in combat, exhausted and without aura, but managed to put her in a strong choke hold. His aura reserves are also insane. When she was unlocking his aura, it felt like she was falling in an endless void and what was even more disturbing is that it could grow.

His words kept repeating in her head, "When your life's on the line, you'll do anything to win. Be it cheating or playing dirty. I'm not above getting my hands dirty when I need to, but only when I need to." From what he said, it seems that he is willing to help the tribe so long as our goals align, whatever those are.

Vernal voiced out her concerns the next day, the way he got beaten up only shortly got up, even with aura, is not normal. Raven had to agree. In their spar, Raven had given him blows that would normally disable or even kill Huntsman yet after a minute, he was already up and about.

Asmodeus Endaira is an anomaly. With his absurd aura reserves, his regeneration, and conviction, he could become a dangerous force in the future to either herself or the tribe.

"We will keep an eye on him for now." Raven ordered. "It would be beneficial for the tribe to have someone like him on our side."

Vernal nods and takes her leave. Taking her mask, Raven gets up from the table and walks to the back of her tent. She unsheathes her sword and opens a portal. When walks to the other side, she is in a clearing with a cottage not too far from where she is.

She sees a girl that looks much like herself but with blond hair training with a blond man. Raven watches on from afar as the duo continues to train before a younger girl pops out of a burst of rose petals and hugs the two with smiles on their faces.

The girl's silver eyes seem to glow at the love of her family.

"...you're still as weak as ever Yang. You all are." Raven mutters as she opens another portal and leaves.

Author Notes

Goddammit, Rooster Teeth!

You killed off (Spoilers) AGAIN! Now Salem has another relic while half of the cast are lost and the rest are in the desert. I honestly don't know what Neo was thinking when she thought Cinder was going to help her but at least she didn't end up like Watts; he won't be missed. There seems to be a pattern in this where the viewers have to wait an entire season to just tell us that the bad guys won. I mean its obvious from the beginning that the bad guys were going to win regardless of the cast's efforts, and Ironwood died like a chump.

At least her death had a build up that was worth a damn.

Oh yeah, and you're wondering why I put Gaster's magic in this. Well its because I'm a fan of Glitchtale and I think they're cool to have. I mean its basically a supercharged version of sans' magic.

Leave a comment/review and just tell me what you think. Constructive criticism is highly appreciated.
