Before I start this off, know that I had to look back through the previous parts to fix some issues. For one thing, the underlines for Sylvio's OC monsters weren't there, despite me having them outside of the Doc Manager. Another thing is that I've apparently been misspelling Allie's name as Ally. Doesn't help that the Yu-Gi-Oh wikia was getting a bit inconsistent in regards to her name (her main page had her as 'Allie', but some of the other pages lists her name as 'Ally').
Either way, I hope this was a good part. Because of how I've decided on the matchups, this duel ended up being another test to see if I can effectively make my own duels. I'd like to say I did well enough, but I hope you all enjoy it as well.

Unity Between Dimensions
Part 5: School Takeover
In the skies above Paradise City, a private plane was just about to make a landing at the nearby airport. Within the plane was a middle-age woman wearing a red business dress. This woman was Henrietta Akaba, the chairwoman of the Leo Institute. She had just got back from a negotiation from faraway concerning the Leo Institute, a successful negotiation at that.
Once the plane made a successful landing, Henrietta exited the plane and entered the nearby limousine ready to take her to Leo Tower. Within the limousine with her was Claude.
"Congratulation on the successful negotiation, Madam Chairwoman," Claude congratulated her.
"Thank you, Claude," she responded with a nod, "Everything is falling into place. The Leo Institute will soon be able to reach new heights and encompass the rest of the world."
"Indeed, your hard work is certainly paying off," Claude said, "I'm sure the president would be pleased to hear this."
Henrietta smiled slightly, knowing that everything was going smoothly.
"... However," Claude continued, prompting a frown from the chairwoman, "While you were gone, there were some... interesting developments going on outside the institute. One of the key things is the discovering of... Pendulum Summoning."
Henrietta narrowed her eyes at that, wondering just what was going on while she was gone.
Henrietta had soon arrived at the Leo Tower, entering one of the meeting rooms. Meeting her was the silver-haired president.
"Welcome back, mother," the president greeted the chairwoman, who's revealed to be his mother.
"Thank you, Declan," she greeted him back before frowning, "Is it true that there's been reports on a summoning method completely unlike the likes of Fusions, Synchros, and Xyzs?"
"It is," the president, now named Declan, answered simply, before turning toward the descending flat-screen, "I think it's best you sit down for this."
Henrietta did as told as the flat-screen turned on. It showed Yuya using Stargazer Magician and Timegazer Magician to Pendulum Summon Performapal Whip Snake and Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon during his duel with Strong Ishijima. It also showed the aftermath of the summon as the monitor crew analyzed the spike in Pendulum energy. Needless to say, Henrietta was quite surprised.
"As you see, by utilizing special cards known as Pendulum Cards, it's possible to Special Summon multiple monsters at once, even high-leveled ones," Declan explained, "It's certainly a powerful technique."
After a bit, Henrietta's surprise wore off as she narrowed her eyes. "Where exactly did they come from?" she questioned.
"We're currently still working on that answer," Declan responded, "We've been analyzing the energy readings thoroughly since these cards' been discovered. We currently have just enough information to make prototype cards. However, we've been unable to determine where they came from in the first place."
He then turned back toward the screen. "However, we do have somewhat of a lead on them," he continued, "And it concerns the Duelist that first used them."
"Go on..." Henrietta said, wondering what this lead could be.
Declan nodded as the screen now shows Yuya's information. "His name is Yuya Sakaki. He currently goes to the You Show Duel School and is currently in the Junior Division," he informed, "His duel record is currently average, with his win ratio just shy of cracking 60%."
Henrietta was unamused hearing all of that. "Declan, surely you aren't saying that someone as average as this boy is capable of developing a brand new summoning technique, right?" she questioned, unconvinced that Yuya was anything special.
"He also happens to be Yusho Sakaki's son," Declan added, prompting Henrietta to widen her eyes in surprise.
"Yusho Sakaki!? The same Yusho that founded Action Duels!?" she called out, "The same Yusho that disappeared three years ago!?"
"The very same," Declan confirmed, "We currently do not know if there is a connection between Yusho's disappearance and Yuya's discovery of Pendulum Summoning. All we know is that Yuya is our only lead on the secrets of Pendulum Summon."
Henrietta narrowed her eyes at that.
"Besides that, there are other matters that concern me," Declan continued, moving away from the subject of Yuya, "Not only has high levels of Pendulum energy been detected following the discovery of Pendulum Summon, but three other spikes in energy has been detected. Those pertain to the familiar Extra Deck summons: Synchro, Fusion, and Xyz."
Henrietta's eyes widen at that. "Three more spikes in energy!?" she repeated, "If that's so, could it be...?"
"I could only assume so," Declan guessed as the flat screen now shows Rin's information, "We currently only have details on the one where the Synchro energy came from: Rin Boyle. Like Yuya, she goes to You Show and is in the Junior Division. She's set to enter the ARC League Championships, so we'll be able to see her capabilities in full detail."
The chairwoman raised an eyebrow at the last part. "Are you perhaps thinking about enlisting her as a Lancer?" she questioned.
"Only time will tell, mother," Declan responded as the flat screen turned off, "As for the other two spikes, we have no read on who's been performing them. However, during the time the Xyz energy was detected, one of our students was injured and sent to the hospital."
Henrietta was shocked to hear that. "What...!? One of our students was injured!?" she cried out, "Who could have done it?"
"Hard to say," Declan admitted, "But the victim, Sylvio Sawatari, mentioned a name. Yuya Sakaki."
"Yuya Sakaki!?" Henrietta repeated, "Could it really be this kid's doing!?"
"I honestly doubt it, mother," Declan denied, "Yuya currently has no capabilities of Xyz Summoning, and the readings picked up Xyz energy during the attack. However, I can't ignore the possibility of there being a connection..."
'Especially if it's similar to Rin's case...' he added to himself.
Henrietta closed her eyes in thought. She was thinking about everything she had heard as well as the next course of action. Soon, however, an idea was formed as she opened her eyes.
"I think I may have an idea on what to do, Declan..." she said, forming a smile that would have unnerved anyone except Declan, "And if it works, it may kill two birds with one stone."
Within a hospital room, Sylvio was nearly fully bandaged, though he hasn't fully recovered from the attack by the masked Duelist. He was currently in a pretty sour mood, which is to be expected. Also there were his lackeys.
"Ooh, when I get my hands on that guy, he'll be sorry for trying to kill me!" he yelled out, thinking about the face he saw, "Who would've thought that Yuya would be that kind of guy... Either that, or I'm going crazy..."
He then turned toward his lackeys. "You three! You all were there, right?" he questioned, "Was that masked guy truly Yuya or am I really going insane!?"
The three lackeys looked a bit nervous. "Er, yea... That has to be Yuya...!" Kakimoto answered.
"Saw it all with my own eyes...!" Ootomo added.
"So, please don't put us in casts as well...!" Yamabe nervously pleaded. Just then...
"The only one being put in casts will be Yuya Sakaki!" a small, bald man yelled out as he entered the room, "Because if you mess with Sylvio, you mess with me!"
He then rushed straight to a window, opened it up, and start yelling toward the city with a megaphone. "And in case you haven't notice, I'm Sylvio's father and mayor candidate Furio Sawatari!"
As Sylvio's father continue to yell out to the city, Sylvio's lackeys could only sweatdrop from his antics.
"Man, he'll do anything for a vote..." Yamabe commented.
"Yeah... Anything besides doing actual work..." Ootomo added.
Sylvio, however, had a slightly amused smile. "Heh, same old father..." he commented.
At that point, two more people entered the room. They were Claude and Henrietta, the latter of which walking in with a bouquet of flowers. Everyone was surprised by their appearance.
"Madam Chairwoman...?" Furio called out, "When did you get back?"
"Just this morning, actually," the chairwoman answered, "Once I've heard what happened to Sylvio, coming here was first on my to-do list."
"Well, you grace us with your visit, Madam Chairwoman," Furio responded with a bow, which Henrietta returned.
"I never would have thought that someone would do something so severe to one of my students..." Henrietta said, "But you being his father, I'd imagine that you're prepared to do whatever it takes to see that justice is served, right?"
"Of course justice will be served!" Furio answered, his anger at what happened to his son returning as he pulled out his phone, "I'll make sure that Yuya Sakaki is put behind bars!"
Before he could make the call, Furio was stopped by Henrietta. "Actually, how about you let me handle this? After all, you're hoping to become mayor, right?" Henrietta interjected, prompting Furio to nod in confirmation on the second point, "This way, you'll project power and the voters will love it. So just relax and leave everything to me."
As she said, she gave a knowing smile, knowing exactly what to do about this situation.
Within You Show, class was currently in progress as Skip was recapping everyone on the fundamentals of Summoning. However, while Yuya and Tate was paying attention, the others weren't... Allie and Frederick were bored, Sora was too busy eating his lunch, and Zuzu and Rin were lost in thought about something else. Skip took notice of this and sighed.
"Look, I know we're not the most advanced class in the world, but I would appreciate it if you'd at least pay attention..." he said, turning toward Zuzu, "You in particular. You're usually at the top of the class. You and your sister. But here you are, lost in thought..."
Both Zuzu and Rin could only sigh in response. Yuya soon took notice of their strange look, already having an idea what's going on.
"Still thinking about that mysterious Duelist?" Yuya asked, which was answered by a nod from Zuzu.
"I just... don't know how to feel about this..." she admitted, "He has the same exact face as you, Yuya... He disappears without a trace by the time you and Rin appeared... And that duel with Sylvio..."
She closed her eyes, thinking back to the masked Duelist nearly wrecking the warehouse with that Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon he called it. "There wasn't an Action Duel, yet the destruction felt real... Who was that guy... and how was he able to do something like that...?"
Zuzu was distraught by the whole situation. Suddenly, Rin lay a hand on her shoulder.
"Zuzu, I know this must be tough for you..." she said, trying to comfort her adoptive sister, "But it shouldn't be anything for you to worry about... So what if he has the same face as Yuya? We both have the same exact face ourselves, but we don't let it bother us."
"Rin's right, Zuzu," Yuya added, "I don't know what you may be thinking, but I can definitely say that that wasn't me. There's really nothing for you to worry about. Sure it feels strange knowing there's someone out there that has my face, but I'm not gonna let it bother me."
He the let out a chuckle. "Heck, maybe he could be a brother of mine the same way the two of you are sisters," he added with a smile, "Despite that first impression, I certainly wouldn't be opposed to that idea."
Rin giggled in response, and was soon joined by Zuzu. "Thanks, you two... I don't know how I would feel without your supports..." she said, turning to her adoptive sister, "You especially, Rin. If you weren't there as well, I'd probably be even more confused about this whole mess..."
Rin smiled at that. "No problem, Zuzu. That's what sisters are for," she responded. However, she soon turned away, back to her own thoughts.
'Yuya certainly has a positive outlook...' she thought with a smile, 'Hearing him talk about having a sibling bond with that mysterious guy, I could certainly imagine Yuya and Yugo being good friends...'
Her smile then morphed into a frown. 'Still, who could that guy be...? Despite Zuzu saying he has Yuya's face, it just couldn't be Yugo...' she guessed, closing her eyes, 'There's no way he's capable of that kind of destruction. Plus, according to Zuzu, this guy has access to Xyz Summoning. Yugo certainly couldn't do that; I've never even heard of that before coming here... So then...'
Her eyes then shot right open. 'Wait... Wasn't there another person I saw that had Yugo's face...?' she remembered, thinking back to before she found herself in Paradise City.
(Flashback)
Within a far-off city in the middle of the night, Rin was running through alleyways in a panic. She was currently being chased by a cloaked person, and she could tell that he was bad news. She ran as fast as she could, but after turning a corner, she found herself at a dead end.
"Oh-no!" she said, looking around for a way out. However, her only exit was blocked off by the cloaked stalker. Though the cloak hid most of his face, Rin could still see a sinister smile from him.
"Who are you!?" she questioned frantically, "Why are you after me!?"
The cloaked person chuckled before lifting his head upward. By then, Rin could see his entire face, and what she saw shocked her.
"Y-Yugo...?" she whimpered, seeing a face that heavily resembles her best friend. The assailant stepped closer, a strange looking Duel Disk pointed her way. Before he could make his move...
"RIN-RIN!" a familiar voice cried out over the sounds of a roaring engine. Stopping just beyond the cloaked stalker was a white motorcycle with an equally white-garbed rider whose face was obscured by a helmet. Despite that, Rin recognized the rider.
"YUGO!" she cried out in return. However, before anyone could make any further moves, a bright light emerged from the rider's motorcycle before engulfing everyone. Rin could only close her eyes from the light before...
'Right before I found myself in Paradise City, I was being chased by some sort of sinister stalker...' Rin continues to think to herself, 'Now that I think about it, he had the same face as Yugo and Yuya!'
Her eyes then widen in fear. 'But then... Could it be that he's here as well!? Could he still be after me!?'
Rin's eyes shook in fear, something that Yuya and Zuzu both noticed. "Rin...?" he tried to call out to Rin, but before he could...
"You all have a lot of nerve to be accusing Yuya!"
A loud, booming voice echoed from outside the school, catching everyone by surprise. "That sounded like Gong!" Yuya said as he and everyone else rushed out of the classroom.
Everyone soon exited the school and saw Gong right in front of its front door. He was staring down three people.
"Gong, what's with all the yelling?" Yuya asked.
"Gong'll tell you," Gong started, "Gong was just doing his daily training when Gong saw three suspicious people on You Show's doorstep. Gong went to take a look, only to hear them accusing Yuya of hurting someone!"
Everyone was surprised by this. "Me!? Hurting someone!?" Yuya cried out, "I would never do something like that! Who would even say that!?"
It was then they got a good look at the suspicious people, which were revealed to be Sylvio's lackeys. Needless to say, most of the group weren't happy to see them again.
"Not you three again!" Rin called out in annoyance, "You three are really starting to get on our nerves!"
Kakimoto glared at Rin in response. "The feeling's mutual, ice witch," he retorted, "But as much as I want us to settle the score, we have bigger fishes to fry."
"Yeah, and that's the fact that Yuya there hurt our Sylvio!" Ootomo informed with a smirk, "And don't try to deny it; we all saw it happen with our own eyes!"
"And it's not just us that saw it," Yamabe added, "There was one other person that saw it unfold."
The three then pointed right through the group. "Isn't that right, Zuzu!?"
The group was surprised by this as they turned toward Zuzu, who was both shocked and nervous.
"Zuzu!?" Skip cried out in shock, "What are they talking about!?"
Zuzu was silent for a bit before she shook her head. "You got it all wrong! That masked guy couldn't be Yuya!" she retorted.
"Then why does he has Yuya's face?" Ootomo retorted back, still keeping his smirk, "Care to explain that?"
By that point, Yuya and Rin understood what was going on as they glared at the three lackeys. "I don't know who's that masked guy everyone keeps talking about, but I can safely say that wasn't me!" Yuya said.
"That's right! I was with Yuya the entire time we were heading to the warehouse!" Rin added, "So unless you're saying Yuya could be in two places at once, which is really stupid mind you, you have no right to accuse Yuya of that!"
Yuya and Rin held their ground, followed by Zuzu and Gong, even though the latter wasn't aware of the whole situation. Skip, meanwhile, was lost on what's going on, and Sora was merely watching the events unfold, still eating his lunch from before.
"Er, mind filling me in on what's happening?" Skip questioned, having a hard time following along.
"Sylvio and his goons were planning to harm Yuya and Rin for their earlier duel," Allie explained, being the only one that was with Zuzu on their way to the warehouse, "Zuzu wanted to confront them to keep them safe while I headed back to let everyone know."
"Wait, Zuzu confronted Sylvio!?" Skip repeated in shock, "Then could Zuzu be the true assailant!?"
Hearing that prompt everyone to stumble as the younger kids yelled at the principal.
"YOU'RE WAY OFF!"
The lackeys, recovering from their stumble, merely sigh in response. "Man, if this is the teacher, then I almost feel bad for the students..." Kakimoto said in an unamused tone.
"We've been saying that Yuya's the only culprit," Ootomo reminded.
"And we've been saying you're wrong!" Rin retorted before turning to Skip to continue the explanation, "Apparently, while Yuya and I were heading to the warehouse, someone else beat us to it and dueled Sylvio."
"That's right..." Zuzu confirmed with slight nervousness, "They were right about one thing: I was there and saw it all happen. And that masked Duelist... did have Yuya's face..."
Skip and even Gong were surprised to hear that. "Is that true!?" Gong asked, prompting Zuzu to nod.
"Don't try to twist the truth! We all know it could only be Yuya!" Yamabe interjected with a glare, "And because of him, Sylvio's been sent to the hospital!"
"Really!?" Yuya responded in shock. Everyone else was surprised to hear that, including Zuzu; while she was mad that Sylvio was plotting revenge against her friend and her sister, she didn't want him hurt in that way.
"That's right. That duel left him all bruised up!" Kakimoto confirmed, "He would have probably died if that dragon of yours actually stabbed him instead of his jacket!"
Everyone was even more surprised hearing all that. 'He could've... died...!?' Rin thought, thinking back to the damage done to the warehouse, 'I had an idea on how bad things might've went, but... I didn't think... it would be that bad...!"
"Sure we may have plotted revenge against you and Rin, Yuya, but even we know that attempted murder is a big deal," Ootomo said, "And you should know what'll happen to you next."
Skip took a second to process what they said before panicking. "OH-NO!" he cried out, "Look, maybe we could work something out! We don't need to do something so drastic!"
Before the others could retort, a limousine drove by and stopped besides the arguing groups. Stepping out of the limousine was Henrietta, much to Skip's surprise as he recognized her
"Maybe I could help settle this dispute," she said, "My name is Henrietta Akaba, chairwoman of the Leo Institute."
"Settle the dispute...?" Skip repeated, a bit nervously, "And how are you gonna do that?"
Henrietta smiled. "Perhaps we can continue this in your meeting room," she responded, "If you'll please."
Everyone else took a moment before heading back into the school with the chairwoman. The only people that stayed behind were the three lackeys and Claude, who was in the Limousine with Henrietta. He handed the lackeys an envelope each.
"Good job setting this up," Claude thanked the three, "As thanks, here are the rare cards you requested."
The lackeys each took an envelope and pulled out a card from them. They all had smirks, knowing they did such a good job.
Everyone was within You Show's meeting room, with Skip and Henrietta seated accross from each other. Everyone else was standing just behind Skip.
"Thank you for taking the time for this meeting, Mr. Boyle," Henrietta started with bow, which Skip returned, his earlier nervousness gone, "I only wish it was under better circumstances... As it stands now, Yuya is currently guilty of landing one of my students in the hospital. So now we must figure out what to do with this whole mess."
Skip gave a sigh before turning to Yuya. "Yuya, for the last time, did you or did you not hurt Sylvio?" he questioned, wanting to put this matter to rest once and for all.
"No I did not!" Yuya responded, "I would never do something like that!"
"And we have a witness that proves Yuya couldn't have done it!" Rin added, confident that Yuya was innocent.
"Witness or not, Gong would still believe you, Yuya," Gong assured his friend before turning to everyone else, "Who's with Gong!?"
"We're all with you!" Frederick responded resolutely.
"The Yuya I know would never hurt anyone!" Tate informed, which Allie agreed with a nod.
"He certainly doesn't look the type that would do this," Sora added his two cents. Gong nodded at everyone's convictions before turning to Zuzu.
"And you, Zuzu?" he addressed the melody Duelist. Zuzu hesitated for a bit before closing her eyes.
"Yuya... I know what my eyes saw..." she admitted before opening her eyes, looking more determined, "But I just can't believe that you and that masked Duelist are one and the same! Not after what you and my sister said...!"
Getting all that out, Zuzu gave a relieved smile. "So I believe you 100%!" she said, prompting Yuya to smile back.
Henrietta, however, wasn't fazed by this turn of events. "While it may be true that you have witnesses that proves Yuya's innocence, we also have witnesses that proves his guilt," she pointed out, prompting everyone to focus on her, "It appears we've reached an impasse... Luckily for you, I know just how to solve this dilemma."
"And how do you plan to do that, Ms. Akaba?" Skip questioned, prompting Henrietta to smile before quickly replacing it with a determined frown.
"As you no doubt know, I am the Chairwoman of the top-ranking Duel School in all of Paradise City!" she started explaining, "And as far as I'm concerned, Yuya has made a mockery of one of our students! This is now about honor that we have lost! And honor that we will restore by having our students battle it out!"
Everyone was caught by surprised by her outburst, everyone except Sora who smirked in response. "Here's how it'll go: if you win, we'll believe your story that Yuya is not the one that attacked Sylvio," Henrietta continued, gaining an unnerving smile, "But if we win, then the Leo Institute will take over the You Show Duel School."
Nearly everyone was even more shocked to hear that, especially Yuya, Zuzu, and Rin. The only ones that weren't as surprised as the rest were Sora, who kept his smirk, and Skip, who gave a glare in response.
"How's that gonna restore honor!?" Gong retorted with his own glare, "If you ask Gong, this all sounds fishy!"
"I should be surprised to hear this proposal, but truthfully I'm not..." Skip admitted, closing his eyes, "I've heard that the Leo Institute has been going around the globe taking over Duel Schools left and right. And it's almost never pretty..."
He then opened back up and glared at the chairwoman. "Ms. Akaba, did you set this all up just so you'll take our school!?" he accused.
"No, actually. I had nothing to do with what happened to Sylvio," Henrietta denied, "But... I do know how to take an opportunity."
Skip raised an eyebrow at the last part before the chairwoman continued. "As you know, there are a total of three major summoning techniques, each pertaining to the Extra Deck. Fusion, Synchro, and Xyz," she explained, "But it has come to my attention that there's a brand new summoning technique known as Pendulum Summoning. And though I don't know the why or how, your school remains the only one with any sort of connection to this brand new method."
Henrietta gave off a smile. "And if you ask me, the potential of Pendulum Summoning is wasted here!" she informed, "If we were to incorporate Pendulum Summoning into our curriculum, we'd be able to allow the method to flourish! The possibilities involving the Pendulum Summon would be endless."
"Even if that's true, it wouldn't be possible without Yuya's Pendulum Cards!" Tate informed the chairwoman.
"While that may be true, it shouldn't be anything to worry about," Henrietta responded as she begun to think to herself.
'After all, if what Declan says is true, then we have our prototype cards nearly completed, so that issue is non-existance,' she reminded herself as she gazed at Yuya's direction, 'And besides, not only would we have access to the Pendulum method this school has, but we can also determine if Yuya Sakaki is, as Declan puts it, Lancer material...'
Her train of thought, however, was interrupted by Yuya. "You think dueling is all about business, huh!?" he retorted, glaring at the chairwoman, "But here, the only business involved in dueling is showbusiness! We strongly believe that dueling is meant to make people happy; not to push others around!"
He then stood tall, almost as if standing against Henrietta. "But if you truly believe that the only way to regain lost honor is with a duel, then I accept!" he continued, accepting the chairwoman's challenge, "We won't be standing by and watch you take over our school! Right, guys!?"
As Yuya turned to his friends, they all smiled in determination. "Right with you, Yuya!" Rin agreed along with her sister, Zuzu, "I owe this school for making my life here in Paradise City a great one, so I'll do whatever it takes to protect it!"
"Gong'll stand by your side as well, Yuya," Gong added, "Together, we'll protect this school from anyone!"
"Valiant statement, Gong, but I doubt you're allowed to duel here," Sora pointed out, much to Gong's surprise, "In case you didn't know, you don't attend this school. If you try to duel, we might just be disqualified."
He then turned to Henrietta. "If we're talking about multiple duels, then we have more than enough students to take part," he continued, "Who knows? It might be fun to take on a Leo student."
Henrietta stared at the determined duelists before smiling. "It appears we're all in agreement," she said before facing Skip once again, "So what do you say, Mr. Boyle? Do we have a deal?"
Skip looked at each of his students before facing Henrietta back with a determined stare. "I say... you got yourself a deal!"
The two groups soon meet within You Show's duel field. On Skip's side were Yuya, Zuzu, Rin, and Sora. On Henrietta's side were three of her own students. One had purple hair held up by a star-themed headband and a blue and purple coat. Another had spiky brown hair and wore a white tunic with the sleeves ripped off. The last was the sole female of the three, having slick, black hair and a blue shirt over a cream one-piece shirt. Off to the sides were Gong and the younger kids, watching it all unfold.
"We will have three separate matches between your students and my own," Henrietta explained, "Which ever side wins two duels will be the victor. I've already decided on my representatives: the three students I've chosen are at the top of their respective classes, with each one utilizing the three Extra Deck Summons."
She turned to her students to introduce them. "Dipper O'rion, top of the Xyz Course," she said, introducing the purple-haired Duelist.
"Kit Blade, top of the Synchro Course," she continued, introducing the spiky-haired Duelist, before turning to her lone female representative, "And Julia Krystal, top of the Fusion Course."
She then faced her opposition once more. "The Duelist I'll be starting off with is... Dipper O'rion," she informed as the Xyz Duelist stepped forward, "Now choose who'll face off against Dipper. Choose wisely; since you have four potential Duelists, one of them will have to be left out."
Sora was just about to volunteer himself to face Dipper, but... "I'll be going first!" Rin called out, much to Sora's and Yuya's surprise. Henrietta merely raised an eyebrow at that declaration.
"Not that I would have minded, but I would have thought you'd be starting off with Yuya," she responded, "After all, to my knowledge, he is your sole Pendulum Duelist."
"That may be so, but if this is about honor over one of your student's defeat, then you have a bone to pick with me as well!" Rin retorted, "While I can't speak about that masked Duelist, Yuya did duel and defeated Sylvio before that incident, and I dueled right by his side! So if you're after Yuya for Sylvio's defeat, then you're after me too!"
She then gave off a smirk. "Besides, I'm listed as the strongest student in this school," she added, "I'll be giving You Show the first victory."
Hearing Rin say that prompted the chairwoman to smile. "Is that so? Well, then you may be making the right decision after all," she accepted before gazing at Sora, "After all, it's probably best to start with your strongest Duelists and leave the weakest ones out."
"What do you mean weakest!?" Sora called out, taking offense to what she said, "Why don't you come over here and see what I'm capable of!?"
Before he could make a move, Sora was gently held back by Zuzu. "Now's probably not a good time to lash out..." she pleaded her fellow student with a sweatdrop, "Maybe you should leave this to my sister, alright?"
As Zuzu try to calm Sora down, Henrietta gazed at the group. "That being said, it may not make much of a difference," she said, catching everyone's attention, "After all, Dipper here has earned his reputation as the top Xyz student for a reason."
Everyone wondered about that as Tate accessed the duel records from his Duel Disk. Once he saw Dipper's records, he was surprised, as well as Allie, Frederick, and Gong who were all looking over his shoulder.
"I don't believe it! His win ratio is a solid 91%!" Tate cried out, "He's eligible to enter the ARC League Championships this year!"
Hearing this, Yuya turned to Rin. "Rin, are you sure about this?" he asked in a bit of a worried tone. Rin, however, responded with a smile.
"I'm sure. Don't forget; I'm a part of You Show as well," she reaffirmed, "So I'm gonna do whatever it takes to protect it!"
Yuya took in what Rin said and responded with his own smile. "Got it. I'll be cheering you on, Rin!" he accepted with a nod before grasping her shoulder, "So go out there and win this."
"I will, Yuya. That's a promise," Rin replied with a nod. Yuya smiled before following the others outside of the duel field, leaving Rin and Dipper alone.
"So, you're the quote-on-quote 'strongest Duelist of You Show', huh?" Dipper called out, "If you're as strong as you say you are, than this'll make my victory all the more sweeter."
"We'll see about that!" Rin retorted, "I won't be going down without a fight!"
She then turned toward the window to the ARC System control room where Skip's at. "Go ahead and start up the Action Field, dad!"
"You got it, Rin!" Skip responded with a yell, "We'll be starting off with a bang as I'll be taking you to outer space! I'm activating the Action Field, Cosmic Sanctuary!"
With the ARC System activated, the entire duel field was transformed into what appears to be a series of ruined temples scattered around the surface of a moon. A large crater was directly in the middle of the area, and at the crater's center was a large, stone stage where Rin and Dipper find themselves on. Dipper looked around in shock before he started laughing.
"Are you for real!?" he called out mid laugh, "This is my specialty field!"
Skip was surprised to hear that, but Sora merely gave a deadpan stare at the principal. "His name is literally based off of Big Dipper, a constellation," he informed, "I would have thought that was easy to figure out."
Hearing that prompted Skip to scream in horror. "OH-NO!" he cried out before turning toward Rin, "Please forgive your foolish father! I did not mean to do this!"
Rin sweatdrop at the reaction, though gave a sheepish smile nonetheless. "It's quite alright, dad..." she forgave her adoptive father, "I doubt it'll make that much of a difference here."
Dipper chuckled in response. "You sure about that? Because I have never lost on this field in my entire life," he informed, readying his Duel Disk, "And I don't plan on starting now."
Despite the challenge, Rin gave a smirk in return as she readied her Duel Disk as well. "Oh, I'm sure," she challenged the Xyz Duelist, "It's time I knock you off your high horse!"
"We shall see..." Dipper accepted the challenge, "So without further ado..."
"LET'S DUEL!"
Rin LP: 4000/Hand: 5
Dipper LP: 4000/Hand: 5
'Though I would have liked to see what Declan saw in that Yuya boy, I do get to see if this Rin girl is Lancer material like Declan thought,' Henrietta thought to herself. Unbenounce to everyone, the duel also has another observer hidden beyond the hall's corner, wearing a hoodie that obscured their face.
"Time to show them what you're made of, Dipper," Henrietta called out, prompting Dipper to smirk in response.
"With pleasure, Madam Chairwoman. I'll be going first!" Dipper responded, ready to make his move, "I'll start off by summoning Constellar Algiedi!"
A portal opened up, and through it emerged a white armored female knight wielding a wand.
Constellar Algiedi/Level 4/ATK 1600/DEF 1400
"But that's not all..." Dipper continued, placing another card on his Duel Disk, "When Algiedi is Normal Summoned, I'm allowed to summon another Level 4 Constellar monster from my hand! So say hello to Constellar Kaus!"
Another portal opened up, revealing an armored centaur wielding a bow.
Constellar Kaus/Level 4/ATK 1800/DEF 700
Rin narrowed her eyes seeing Dipper summon two monsters at once. "I'm guessing you're planning something big with them, right?" she guessed.
"Perhaps, but before I do that, I'll be activating Kaus' own ability!" Dipper responded, "Up to twice per turn, I'm allowed to raise or lower the level of Constellar monsters I control. So I'll be raising the levels of both itself and Algiedi!"
Kaus aimed its bow upward before shooting out an arrow. Once it got high enough, the arrow burst apart into multiple light showers that rained on itself and Algiedi.
Constellar Algiedi/Level 4 - 5
Constellar Kaus/Level 4 - 5
"And now... I'll use Algiedi and Kaus to build the Overlay Network!" Dipper called out. A galaxy portal soon opened up in front of him as his monsters soon turned into yellow energy and flew into the portal, causing it to explode.
"Light of the distant stars! Desend and shake this very earth!" he chanted as his new monster began emerging, "I Xyz Summon Constellar Pleiades!"
From the portal's explosion emerged a much more imposing armored warrior with a galactic cape and wielding a unique blade. Two yellow orbs were orbiting him.
Constellar Pleiades/Rank 5/ATK 2500/DEF 1500/OVU 2
Rin stared at the Xyz Monster. "That certainly looks imposing," she commented.
"That'll be it for my turn," Dipper concluded his turn, "You're up."
Rin drew a card before smiling at what she drew. "Perfect. I'll start off with a Special Summon," she called out, "Since I have no monsters out, I can Special Summon Windwitch - Ice Bell!"
Laying her card on her Duel Disk, Rin summoned her lovely ice witch from before.
Windwitch - Ice Bell/Level 3/ATK 1000/DEF 1000
"Not only that, but I can also bring out another Windwitch straight from my Deck!" Rin continued, pulling out a card from her deck, "So come on out, Windwitch - Glass Bell!"
Another portal opened up as another Windwitch flew through and joined Ice Bell. This one appears younger than Ice Bell, though has the same level of cheerfulness as the older witch.
Windwitch - Glass Bell/Level 4 Tuner/ATK 1500/DEF 1500
"Now the effects of my lovely witches activate!" Rin said, gesturing to Glass Bell, "When Glass Bell is summoned, I'm allowed to add another Windwitch from my Deck to my hand."
She took another card out of her deck before gesturing to Ice Bell next. "And when Ice Bell is summoned, I can inflict 500 damage to you immediately!"
"Say what!?" Dipper cried out in shock.
"Let him have it, Ice Bell!" Rin commanded as Ice Bell let loose a shivering wind towards Dipper, who could only cover himself from the cold.
Dipper LP: 4000 - 3500
Once the wind subsided, Dipper immediately glared at Rin. "You... You're gonna pay for that!" he yelled out, surprising Rin, "You think you're all special using burn damage, but you'll rue the day you tried that on me!"
"Whoa, what's your problem?" Rin questioned, a bit unnerved by Dipper.
Outside of the field, the two other Leo students merely sigh at Dipper's outburst. "Should have seen that coming..." Kit commented, unamused, "That guy always tries to maintain a perfect streak on Cosmic Sanctuary. As such, he always seems to explode whenever someone comes along and do burn damage to him."
Julia narrowed her eyes in response, agreeing with Kit. "He really needs to let go of that mentality if he's to keep in this game," she added, not pleased by Dipper's outburst either.
Though Rin was bemused by Dipper's outburst, she ultimately paid it no mind as she continued her turn.
"If you think that's bad, then things are gonna get a lot worse for you!" she said, "I now tune my Level 3 Ice Bell with my Level 4 Glass Bell!"
The two witches flew up high, with Glass Bell turning into four rings. Ice Bell flew into the rings before turning into three stars. The stars soon formed a beam of light that engulfed the rings.
"Midwinter wind! Make ice and snow my power and blow through!" Rin chanted, summoning her ace monster, "I Synchro Summon Windwitch - Winter Bell!"
Emerging from the beam was Rin's signature monster, captivating the You Show students with her elegance. Even Kit smirked seeing the Synchro Summon play out.
Windwitch - Winter Bell/Level 7/ATK 2400/DEF 2000
Henrietta stared at the Synchro Monster for a bit. 'So this is the Synchro Summon that Declan told me about,' she thought, 'Still, never would have imagined that this tiny school would have a Synchro Duelist.'
Dipper narrowed his eyes at Winter Bell. "So you can Synchro Summon, huh?" he said, "Well maybe you should have Synchro Summoned a stronger monster, because this one doesn't have enough strength to stand up to Pleiades."
"Sometimes, it's not all about Attack points," Rin responded with a smirk, "I don't necessarily need to beat your Pleiades in order to win."
She then raised her arm up high. "I activate Winter Bell's ability!" she called out, "I can choose one Windwitch in my Graveyard, then Winter Bell can deal 200 damage times the Windwitch's Level! And I'm going with the Level 4 Glass Bell!"
Dipper's eyes widen as Winter Bell's sphere started shining, showing Glass Bell's silhouette.
"Go for it! Spirit Snowstorm!"
An icy tornado erupted from Winter Bell's sphere and blew right towards Dipper, who could only cover himself to protect against the snowstorm.
Dipper LP: 3500 - 2700
Once the snowstorm ended, Dipper delivered an even bigger glare towards Rin. "Will you stop doing that!?" he yelled out, "I've had it up to here with your stupid burn damage!"
"If you can't handle the cold, then maybe you shouldn't have come here," Rin retorted with her own glare, "You're a Duelist; you have to be prepared for whatever your opponent throws at you!"
Dipper tched at what Rin said. "Say whatever you want. It doesn't change the fact that Pleiades is still stronger than your Windwitch."
'That may be so, but I can still protect her with this card,' Rin thought to herself, seeing her cards, before noticing a shooting star coming towards a nearby temple. It soon collided in a bright light, and Rin could guess what it means.
'That might help as well,' she added as she hopped on Winter Bell and directed her towards the temple. Dipper took notice of this and smirked.
"Is that what you're up to?" he said, mainly to himself, "Don't be silly."
Rin and Winter Bell was just about to reach the temple, only to be blocked by Pleiades. Rin gasped at the surprise appearance before noticing Dipper behind it, already holding an Action Card.
"How did you get here before I did?" she questioned, earning a chuckle from Dipper.
"I did say that this is my specialty field, right?" he reminded, "I know where all the Action Cards are at. That is what helped me to earn most of my wins; taking every single Action Card before my opponent could even make use of them."
Rin narrowed her eyes before setting a card down. "I'll lay one card face down, and call it there," she relented.
Dipper LP: 2700/Hand: 4
Rin LP: 4000/Hand: 5
"Then it's my turn!" Dipper announced as he drew a card before staring at Winter Bell, "You know, I could just destroy Winter Bell outright, but I think I got a better idea. I'll use Pleiades ability! By using one of his Overlay Units, I can send one card on the field straight back to its owner's hand!"
Rin's eyes widen as one of the orbiting Overlay Units was absorbed into Pleiades' weapon.
Constellar Pleiades/OVU: 2 - 1
"And I think I'll go for your Windwitch - Winter Bell!" Dipper continued, stretching his arm outward, "Send her back to the Extra Deck, Pleiades!"
Pleiades complied and launched a beam toward Winter Bell, causing her to disappear and leave Rin falling to the ground. The You Show students, especially Yuya and Zuzu, were surprised and worried for the Windwitch Duelist. Everyone except for Sora, who was nonchalantly licking his lollipop.
"I'm not done yet. I summon Constellar Leonis!" Dipper called out, summoning a different armored warrior whose helmet resembles a blue-maned lion's head.
Constellar Leonis/Level 3/ATK 1000/DEF 1800
"And thanks to Leonis, I can perform a second Normal Summon this turn, so I'll be bringing out Constellar Sheratan!" Dipper continued, summoning another armored warrior that appears to be wielding a strange looking pistol.
Constellar Sheratan/Level 3/ATK 700/DEF 1800
Rin could already tell what's gonna happen next. "Now I overlay my Leonis and Sheratan!" Dipper yelled as another galaxy portal appeared, with his non-Xyz monsters flying into it as energy, "I Xyz Summon Constellar Hyades!"
From the ensuring explosion emerged another imposing warrior, this time wielding a couple of oversized kunai in each hand.
Constellar Hyades/Rank 3/ATK 1900/DEF 1100/OVU: 2
The You Show students were shocked at seeing this development, with those closest to Rin being even more worried for the Windwitch Duelist.
"Shame that this duel has to end so soon, but that's just how it is," Dipper commented, "Pleiades! Hyades! Strike her down and finish her in one blow!"
His two Constellar monsters prepared to attack, only for Rin to quickly react. "I activate the Trap, Impenetrable Attack!" she called out, activating her face down, "With this, I won't be taking any battle damage!"
A barrier formed around Rin, protecting her from the Constellars' attacks. Dipper merely growled at that.
"So you protected yourself, is that it?" he called out.
"Impenetrable Attack had a different effect that would have kept my monster from being destroyed rather than negating battle damage," Rin added, "I had hoped to use this to keep Winter Bell on the field, but that wasn't the case..."
Dipper smirked at that. "Well, then it's a good thing I did use Pleiades' ability," he commented, "So, good luck trying to bring her out again. I'll lay one card face down and end it here."
Rin narrowed her eyes before drawing a card. "First, I'll summon a second Windwitch - Glass Bell!" she called out, bringing out a second Glass Bell.
Windwitch - Glass Bell/Level 4 Tuner/ATK 1500/DEF 1500
"And now that I have a Windwitch on the field, I can Special Summon Windwitch - Freeze Bell!" she continued, summoning her more mature witch to join her younger kin.
Windwitch - Freeze Bell/Level 3/ATK 1200/DEF 1200
Dipper narrowed his eyes at Rin's monsters. "So you're bringing out Winter Bell again?" he guessed, "As if I'll let you! I'll use Pleiades' ability!"
"What!?" Rin cried out in shock as Pleiades' remaining Overlay Unit.
Constellar Pleiades/OVU 1 - 0
"Guess I forgot to tell you that I can use Pleiades' ability on either of our turns," Dipper explained with a smug chuckle, "I'll be sending your Glass Bell back to your hand!"
A beam shot out of Pleiades' weapon, hitting Glass Bell and causing her to turn into a card that flew back to Rin's hand. She glared in response as Dipper smirked.
"So then, Rin. Got any other plays?" he arrogantly questioned.
'I should be glad that Pleiades won't be using his ability anymore, but I still need to do something to get past Dipper's monsters...' Rin wondered what to do. Just then, she noticed another shooting star impacting a different temple.
'Perhaps...' she ended her train of thought as she hopped onto Freeze Bell's bell and flew off toward the collision. Dipper smirked, though he made no move to intercept. Rin soon reached the Action Card that had appear, but once she grabbed it, she saw that it was an Action Trap.
"An Action Trap!?" she cried out in surprise.
"That's right," Dipper responded, calming walking toward Rin's location with his monster, "And since you got Cosmic Meteor, you're dealt 500 damage!"
A meteor appeared above Rin and rammed right into her, smacking her off of Freeze Bell and back onto the ground.
Rin LP: 4000 - 3500
"Rin!" both Yuya and Zuzu cried out, worried for their friend/sister. Everyone else on Team You Show were also worried, though Gong noticed something.
"That Dipper guy wasn't going after that Action Card," he said, catching everyone's attention, "Gong knows he already has an Action Card, but he made no move to stop Rin. It was almost as if he knew it was a trap."
"So not only does he know the locations of Action Cards, he knows whether they're Spells or Traps!?" Tate guessed, eyes widen at the realization.
"That's just not fair!" Allie argued, "How's Rin supposed to deal with that!?"
On the other side of the hall, Henrietta smirked at the duel. 'Simple: she won't,' she answered to herself, 'Dipper is one of our best students. If anyone here's going to win, it'd be him.'
Rin soon got back up before glaring at Dipper. "So what're you gonna do now?" he taunted the Windwitch Duelist.
Rin took two cards and placed them on her Duel Disk. "I'll end my turn with two face downs..." she said, "Your move..."
Rin LP: 3500/Hand: 3
Dipper LP: 2700/Hand: 2
"Then it's my move!" Dipper called out, drawing a card, "If you think you're safe because Pleiades has no Overlay Units, then you're wrong. I'll be using Pleiades to rebuild the Overlay Network!"
Rin's eyes widen. "What are you...!?" she started, unable to get the full question out as Dipper pulled out a card from his Extra Deck.
"This particular Xyz Monster is special," he explained, "I'm able to summon this monster by using a Constellar Xyz Monster as a material!"
Rin and the rest of Team You Show was surprised by this. Everyone except Sora once again, who merely sighed in response.
"Had a feeling it'd go this way..." he commented, though it went unheard.
A new galaxy portal appeared as Pleiades turned into energy and flew into it, resulting in an explosion.
"Rain down your dazzling light on the lands below! Behold, the combined power of the constellations!" Dipper chanted, "I Xyz Summon the mighty Constellar Ptolemy M7!"
What emerged from the explosion was unlike any Constellar seen before. Not resembling any of the warriors, this monster moreso resembles a mechanical dragon with large wings that showed off a spiraling galaxy. With a mighty roar and an Overlay Unit, this monster was ready to blast everything into space dust.
Constellar Ptolemy M7/Rank 6/ATK 2700/DEF 2000/OVU: 1
"You Xyz Summoned a monster... using another Xyz Monster!?" Rin called out, surprised by the summon.
"That is right," Dipper confirmed, "Meet Constellar Ptolemy M7. Short for Ptolemy Messier 7, it is the combined force of all the Constellars and their trump card against those that oppose them. And now it'll direct its power towards you!"
Rin gritted her teeth nervously, seeing the imposing mechanical dragon glaring down at her.
"But first, I'll get rid of your witch with Hyades!" Dipper directed his attack, his other Xyz Monster preparing to strike down Freeze Bell. However...
"I activated my Trap! Half Unbreak!" Rin called out, "With this, my Freeze Bell is protected and all battle damage is halved!"
A bubble formed around Freeze Bell that blocked Hyades' attack, though Rin still covered herself from the ensuring shockwave.
Rin LP: 3500 - 3250
Dipper gritted his teeth. "Still trying to protect your monsters, huh?" he responded, "No matter. Halved damage or not, it's still damage nonetheless! Ptolemy M7! Blast away Rin's Life Points with Interstellar Cluster!"
Ptolemy M7 let loose a large starry breath followed by a swarm of beams from its wings. The barrage impacted the barrier around Freeze Bell, who held her guard up. Rin, however, wasn't so lucky as she was blasted back onto the ground, much to Team You Show's worry.
Rin LP: 3250 - 2500
"If you're going to continue to struggle, then here's a little something to help you!" Dipper continued, activating a Spell Card, "I'm activating Constellar Tempest! During the End Phase, I can remove all Overlay Units on two of my Constellar Xyz Monsters to halve your Life Points."
A glyph appeared in the starry skies, much to Rin's shock.
"I can only do this one time only, but I'm sure it'll be worth it," Dipper informed with a smirk, "And with that, I end my turn."
The Overlay Units around Hyades and Ptolemy M7 all flew toward the glyph. It soon started raining down meteorites all over the field, blasting Rin all over.
Constellar Hyades/OVU 2 - 0
Constellar Ptolemy M7/OVU 1 - 0
"AHHHHH!" she screamed from the barrages, being launched face down. The barrage ended soon enough, though Rin wasn't looking too good...
Rin LP: 2500 - 1250
Team You Show stared at the destruction in horror. "Rin's getting pushed around!" Allie exclaimed.
"Gong does not like this one bit!" Gong said, visibly unpleased by this turn of events.
The only ones who didn't looked horrified were Sora, who was still nonchalantly licking his lollipop, and Yuya. "Rin! I know you can turn this around!" he called out to Rin, "I believe you can still win! Believe in yourself, and you can swing this duel your way!"
"Yuya's right, Rin!" Zuzu called out as well, "I know you can do it! You're one of the strongest Duelists I know!"
Yuya's and Zuzu's yells reached Rin's ears as she tried to stand back up. Despite looking beat up, she soon stood her ground.
"They're right... I can't give up..." she said to herself, "Not when the entire school is counting on me...!"
She soon closed her eyes. "I owe it to this school and everyone in it for allowing me in when I was down from being away from my home..." she continued, "So no matter what happens, I will protect this school!
"IT'S MY TURN!" she finishes, dramatically drawing a new card before making her move, "I first resummon the Windwitch - Glass Bell you sent to my hand!"
Glass Bell soon reappeared and joined up with Freeze Bell.
Windwitch - Glass Bell/Level 4 Tuner/ATK 1500/DEF 1500
Dipper gritted his teeth from seeing Glass Bell's reappearance, though Rin glared in response. "Because Glass Bell was summoned, I'm allowed to add a Windwitch from my Deck to my hand," she informed, taking a card out of her deck, "There's no way you can stop this Synchro Summon! I tune my Level 3 Freeze Bell with my Level 4 Glass Bell!"
Glass Bell flew up and turned into 4 rings which Freeze Bell flew through. Freeze Bell then turned into 3 stars and lined up to form a beam of light.
"Midwinter wind! Make ice and snow my power and blow through! I Synchro Summon Windwitch - Winter Bell!"
Winter Bell soon made her reappearance, causing Team You Show to smile in awe.
Windwitch - Winter Bell/Level 7/ATK 2400/DEF 2000
Dipper glared at Winter Bell, but Rin wasn't done yet. "I now activate Windwitch - Blizzard Bell's ability from my hand!" she called out, "By sending this card to the Graveyard, I can pelt you for 500 damage!"
As Rin discarded her monster, the spirit of said monster, resembling a large decorative ornament with an angel statue at the top, appeared and unleashed a spiritual snowstorm at Dipper.
Dipper LP: 2700 - 2200
"And now I activate Winter Bell's ability!" Rin continued, "You'll be taking more damage based on the Level of a Windwitch I choose. And the Level of the Windwitch I just sent, Blizzard Bell, happens to be Level 5. So that's 1000 damage heading your way!"
Winter Bell's sphere glowed once more, this time showing Blizzard Bell's silhouette.
"Blast Dipper away!" Rin commanded, "Spirit Snowstorm!"
Winter Bell unleashed another blizzard right through Dipper. Like before, all he could do to protect himself was covering himself with his arms.
Dipper LP: 2200 - 1200
"Now, Winter Bell! Slice through Constellar Hyades!" Rin added, extending her arm forward, "Brilliant Dance!"
Winter Bell flew forward and used her blade wings to slice Hyades right in half, destroying it completely. Dipper shielded himself from the shockwave before activating a card.
"I activate the Action Spell, Damage Banish! With this, I don't take any battle damage!" he exclaimed before activating his face down, "I also activate Constellar Meteor! Because your monster attacked one of my Constellars and it's not destroyed, I can shuffle it back into your deck, or Extra Deck in this case. So say good-bye to Winter Bell once again!"
Winter Bell soon glowed before disappearing back into Rin's Extra Deck. Dipper smirked at Rin's vanished monster, though she merely narrowed her eyes in response.
"She may be gone, but she won't stay gone for long!" she said, activating her second face down card, "I activate Icy Breeze Refrain! This Trap has two effects, and for this, I'm going for the first, which allows me to Special Summon a Windwitch from my Graveyard in Defense Mode."
She then raised her arm up. "So come on back! Windwitch - Glass Bell!"
A dark portal opened up, allowing Glass Bell to return to the field.
Windwitch - Glass Bell/Level 4 Tuner/ATK 1500/DEF 1500
"I already used Glass Bell's ability once in this turn, so I can't use it again," Rin informed, "But that doesn't mean I can't bring out another monster. I activate the Spell Card, Windwitch Chimes! With this, I can Special Summon another Windwitch so long as it has a different name than one I control, like Glass Bell. So I'm summoning my second Windwitch - Freeze Bell!"
Another portal opened up, revealing a second Freeze Bell as she flew next to Glass Bell.
Windwitch - Freeze Bell/Level 3/ATK 1200/DEF 1200
"And now I tune my Level 3 Freeze Bell with my Level 4 Glass Bell!" Rin exclaimed as Glass Bell and Freeze Bell turned into rings and stars respectively and formed together into a beam of light, "I Synchro Summon Windwitch - Winter Bell!"
With the light disappearing, Winter Bell was back on the field, much to Team You Show's amazement.
Windwitch - Winter Bell/Level 7/ATK 2400/DEF 2000
"Since I already use Winter Bell's ability earlier, I can't use that either," Rin informed, "So I'll just lay one card face down, and end it here."
A new face down card appeared, signaling the end of Rin's turn as she hopped on Winter Bell and flew off.
Rin LP: 1250/Hand: 1
Dipper LP: 1200/Hand: 1
"My move!" Dipper exclaimed as he drew a card, "I activate Constellar Tempest's second effect. I'm allowed to turn one Constellar monster in my Graveyard into an Overlay Unit for Ptolemy M7!"
A dark portal opened up once more, this time allowing an Overlay Unit through and toward Ptolemy M7.
Constellar Ptolemy M7/OVU: 0 - 1
Dipper pointed his finger right toward Winter Bell. "You think you're safe behind that overgrown Christmas ornament? Think again!" he called out, "I activate Ptolemy M7's ability! By using one Overlay Unit, I can send one monster on the field or Graveyard back to the owner's hand. Or Extra Deck in this case, since I'm going with Winter Bell!"
The Overlay Unit went into Ptolemy M7's head as it prepares to use its ability.
Constellar Ptolemy M7/OVU: 1 - 0
Rin, however, was prepared for this. "You think I wouldn't catch on!? I activate my Trap, Breakthrough Skill!" she called out, "With this, the abilities of one monster you control is negated! So Winter Bell isn't going anywhere!"
A beam shot out of her card and struck Ptolemy M7, coating it in red electricity and stopping its ability. Dipper gritted his teeth before noticing that Rin was heading to a shooting star that just hit another temple. Figuring out what Rin was up to, Dipper narrowed his eyes, knowing that he wouldn't be able to reach it in time.
"I don't think so, Rin...!" he said before directing his attention to his monster, "Ptolemy M7! Stop her flight with Interstellar Cluster!"
The mechanical dragon heeded Dipper's commanded and unleashed a barrage of lasers from its wings. Rin saw the lasers coming but held her ground as Winter Bell weaved through the barrage as if she was dancing, leaving nearly everyone amazed, even the other Leo students.
"Since Freeze Bell was used to Synchro Summon Winter Bell, she can't be destroyed by battle!" Rin informed.
"Even if I can't destroy your monster, I can still deal damage!" Dipper yelled in response before turning back toward Ptolemy M7, "Stop her now!"
Continuing the barrage of lasers, Ptolemy M7 soon unleashed a cosmic blast from its head. By then, Winter Bell was right near the Action Card, but before Rin could grab it, the cosmic blast made contact, engulfing the area in smoke.
"RIN!" Team You Show cried out.
Seeing the smoke left by Ptolemy M7's attack, Dipper smirked. Soon, the smoke cleared, revealing Rin still sitting on Winter Bell. Then, much to Dipper's shock, she held up an Action Card, having just grabbed it in the nick of time.
Rin LP: 1250 - 950
Dipper tched at that. "So you managed to get the Action Card..." he said before taking a look at his cards, "I got nothing else, so I'll end it here."
"Then it's my move!" Rin responded, drawing a card, "And it's time for me to end this duel! I'll use Winter Bell's ability to deal damage based on Blizzard Bell's Level! Spirit Snowstorm!"
Winter Bell's sphere glowed with Blizzard Bell's silhouette before launching a snowstorm toward Dipper, who once again tried to cover himself.
Dipper LP: 1200 - 200
Once the snowstorm ended, Dipper glared at Rin. "You may think this burn business is fun, but your monster is no match for Ptolemy M7!" he informed.
Rin, however, smirked in response. "Sorry, but you're wrong," she said, surprising everyone, "Winter Bell! Attack Ptolemy M7!"
Winter Bell began flying toward the mechanical dragon, much to Dipper's shock.
"Why are you doing that!?" he questioned, "I know your monster can't be destroyed, but you'll still take damage!"
"No I won't, because I activate the Action Card, Attack Force!" Rin responded, activating her Action Card, "Since your Ptolemy M7 has higher Attack then my Winter Bell when she's battling, I'm able to give her 600 extra Attack!"
At that, Dipper's eyes widen, knowing exactly what'll happen next.
Windwitch - Winter Bell/ATK 2400 - 3000
"Go, Winter Bell! Strike down Ptolemy M7 and end this duel!" Rin shouted, "Brilliant Dance!"
Winter Bell spun around like a figure skater before using her blade wings to cut right through Ptolemy M7, causing it to explode violently and launching Dipper back and into the ground.
Dipper LP: 200 - 0
WINNER: RIN!
As the Action Field slowly disappears, Team You Show cheered for Rin's victory, especially Yuya and Zuzu. Sora was still nonchalantly licking his lollipop, though even he had a smile.
'Serves you right, Dipper,' he said to himself before silently congratulating Rin, 'Nice job, Rin. Had a feeling you'd win this.'
Even Team Leo couldn't help but be astonished by Rin's victory. Julia was wide-eyed seeing her performance while Kit had a wide grin. Henrietta, on the other hand, narrowed her eyes.
'So You Show managed to secure their first victory...' she commented before developing a smile, 'Still, I can't say this was a complete waste of my time. After all, I can see why Declan would be interested in her.'
By that point, the two Duelists had rejoined their respective teams, with Rin being surrounded by her friends. They all had excited looks on their faces.
"That was awesome, Rin!" Allie complimented.
"That was a spectacular finish, weaving through those lasers!" Tate added.
"I knew you could do it, Rin," Yuya said with a confident smile, which Rin returned.
"Thanks, you guys..." she responded to their compliments, "I'm just glad I'm able to help You Show in some way. I really do owe it to all of you for making my stay here so great."
"No problem, Rin," Zuzu replied with her own smile.
Though Rin was in such a good mood, the same couldn't be said for Dipper.
"So, Dipper. Do you now know how great Synchro Summons are?" Kit asked with a smirk.
Dipper gave a tired glared in return. "Shut up..." he responded.
Julia merely sighed at Dipper's attitude, not pleased with his performance. Henrietta, meanwhile, gazed at Team You Show.
'Celebrate while you can; I promise my other two students won't make the next duels so easy,' she silently warned the opposing team, 'And then the secrets of Pendulum Summoning will be in my grasps.'
Cosmic Meteor (Trap)
Action Trap
Inflict 500 damage to yourself.
Well, that's the end of the first duel for this set. Instead of Yuya, I had Rin face off against Dipper. Because of that, I couldn't use the canon duel as a base like I could with the others, so for all intent and purpose, this was the first duel I had to make almost completely by myself, hence why I said this ended up being my second real test (my first was the 2v2 at Darkville). I don't know about you all, but I was feeling quite proud of what I had here, and I hope you all enjoyed it as well.
Next up will be Zuzu vs. Julia, just like in canon. However, on that note, I didn't have Zuzu be as confused about the situation with Yuto as she was in canon, thanks to the fact that Rin is able to prove that Yuya couldn't have dueled Sylvio back there. So for all intent and purpose, she should be able to duel better here than in canon. But does that mean she actually stands a chance against Julia? Well... We'll see in the next part.
Either way, hope to see you next time.
