Beth submerged from the sea. The waves, once calm, now stirred with the presence of the great sea serpent.
She looked in all directions, looking for Malli. Suddenly, the Lapras emerged from the bottom of the sea. Glued to her shell was the girl.
"ARE YOU ALRIGHT?," she screamed.
"Yes."
The Gyarados continued to look at them with his red eyes. It felt like he was in a lot of pain and his body was still surrounded by a dark fog.
"I'll be right there to pick you up", Malli had ordered Lapras to rescue Beth.
The Gyarados opened its mouth and a bright light come out of there.
"Malli, he is about to launch a move." she warned. "Don't come after me, try to attack him with your Lapras. It's our only chance."
The girl freaked out.
"I don't know what moves my Lapras knows ..."
Are you serious, a trainer who does not know the moves of her own Pokémon? Her situation only got worse.
"Try the Ice Beam," Beth suggested.
"Okay ... Lapras, Ice Beam!"
If she was not mistaken, the blow had a small chance of freezing the opponent. They would have to rely on luck, otherwise, they were in serious trouble.
The Lapras prepared to launch the move, aiming his horn at the Gyarados. The blue freezing ray goes towards the Pokémon.
The Gyarados struggled to receive the strike.
Suddenly, his body started to solidify and, after a few seconds, it was covered by an ice cover.
"Quick, before he wakes up," Beth draws the attention to herself.
The Lapras swimmed towards Beth who climbs the Pokémon's shell and returns to its starting position.
"Now we have to get out of here as soon as possible before ..." she didn't even finish her sentence when she heard the sound of something breaking. The Gyarados moved, and quickly the ice has broken, freeing the pokémon.
"And now?," asked Malli. The Gyarados stared at them, preparing to launch the move he executed before freezing.
"I don't know." She looked at the light coming towards her and could see a film of her life playing in her mind.
So this is how people feel before they die, she thought.
However, the ray had not reached them. A beam of light came from the skies and repelled the blow away from the girls.
"But what ..." she stared at the sky blindly for the direction in which the beam had departed, then spotted it.
A Dragonite flew in the vastness of the blue sky and, on its back, a person.
"Grandfather!" exclaimed Malli . She looked cheerfully at the flying creature.
The Gyarados changed its focus to the two, launching successive rays. However, the Pokémon dodged doing acrobatics in the air and striking back with beams of light.
"I think we better get away while we can."
"Okay, Lapras run away as soon as possible."
The Lapras begins to swim and soon the battle is left behind, far enough away for the two Pokémon who become two tiny figures in the distance.
