EPISODE 5: LAND VS SEA
(Adapted from "Howl In The Ring")
We start this episode off in downtown Dolphin Coast. We see some civilians walking around having a good time on a cool day when all of a sudden…fishing nets come flying down out of nowhere and shock people with yellow electricity upon catching someone.
After 8 people get caught, 2 for each net, out steps this "attack's" culprit.
Coming towards the captured people is a Viking-like monster (Adapted from the player "Amigard") wielding an ax with barnacle-like muscles and legs.
Varnacle: Congratulations, humans! You've been chosen by me, the mighty Varnacle, for a VERY special occasion!
(He sounds like Fryno from 'Skylanders: Swap Force')
Captured Civilian: W-What are you gonna do to us you monster!?
Varnacle: I'm so glad you asked! The Shooting Star Poachers present (spins around) the Battle Show!
Before seeing what that means, we cut down into the Sanctum with a shot of Martha reading one of the books she has in the Lounging Section.
Benny: Hey mom. Where is everyone right now? I thought it was break time.
Martha: Oh, I let Sylvia go do some grocery shopping in town. Plus, I made Jackie go with her.
Benny: Really? You got HER to stop training?
Martha: Well, being her boss has its persuasion benefits.
Winston: It's not just them, by the way. (Benny looks over to see him on the Lounging Area couch) Caleb went after them, too.
Benny: Ah, Let me guess, not in the mood for training, right?
Martha: More like because he considers himself a "ladies man".
Benny: Wait, a what now?
Martha: Ladies man. You know, a guy who tries to flirt with most of the women he meets?
Winston: Hard to tell if he thinks that way about Jackie and Sylvia though. Usually, he's just being friendly, but every now and then he acts like a "charmer" if you will.
Benny: Huh. Weird. Guess I haven't hung out with him enough yet to see that.
Martha: OH, give it time. You'll see it. Trust me.
We then cut to the area in Dolphin Coast where Sylvia and Jackie are shopping, seemingly finishing up as they have a few bags of groceries on them.
Sylvia: I'm just saying, Jack, maybe you should take more breaks. You've been working a lot harder lately.
Jackie: Oh, it's fine Syl. Ain't nothing wrong with a little overtime here and there.
Sylvia: Well, yeah, but overtime WITH ranger business?
Caleb: Good end of the morning, girls!
Jackie: (while rolling her eyes) Oh, brother.
Sylvia: Hey Caleb! What brings you here?
Caleb: Just thought I'd see if you two ladies needed help. In fact, why don't you let me carry some of those for you?
Sylvia: Oh, thanks! (hands him her bags) Very reliable of you.
Caleb: No problem, m'lady. Jackie. Care to take some weight off your arms?
Jackie: (tries to keep walking forward a little annoyed) Thanks but no thanks. I'm good, dude.
Caleb: Oh, come on, no need to be reserved.
Jackie: I'm not being reserved, I'm just…
She then stops in place and raises her hand to focus one of her ears.
Sylvia: Do you hear something?
Jackie: Yeah. It sounded like…something teleported.
Caleb: Was it Benny or Winston?
Jackie: N-No. Different. A lot quicker than our teleports. It's…(she hears faint evil laugher and gasps) There's a monster nearby!
Sylvia: R-Really!?
Caleb: Let's go! Lead the way!
The three then immediately run forward as we cut to a nearby park.
It's here we see what Varnacle had planned when he showed up. A ring with Amoebanoids surrounding it with Triangular corners and some weird yellow netting on the ground in this park, as two of the people he's captured, are thrown in there, while the others are still stuck in at least one large fishing net.
Varnacle: Hahaha! Welcome to the Battle Show, weaklings! Here's how this works. If you want to escape, you have to fight in this ring!
Captured Civilian 1: No way! I'm getting out of here!
He tries to run for it, but the netting on the ground shocks him before he can even get so much as a foot out.
Varnacle: No can do. You wanna leave the ring? You have to beat your enemy! And if you don't want to fight, I can also have TWO losers (holds up his ax).
The two captured civilians looked at each other worried out of their minds.
Captured Civilian 2: I'm…I'm sorry.
Captured Civilian 1: Yeah. M-Me too!
They then begin fist-fighting as the Shooting Star Poachers watch from the Arrow Galion through the cockpit monitor.
Insidion: I hope this is to your liking, Sagittar. Insidion presents the Battle Show!
Blockhead: Bah! Why make others fight for you!? Sounds boring!
Insidion: You mean…like how WE sent down hunters?
Blockhead: You know what I mean! WE should be the ones causing destruction and chaos, not them.
Sagittar: Now, now, I see the potential. Forcing Earth's life to fight amongst itself in such a direct and harsh way could be VERY entertaining. If done well of course.
Insidion: Well trust me master when I say that this set of battles is just getting started.
Sagittar: Good. (grabs a drink next to him) Let's hope this goes well then.
We then smash cut back down to Earth as the 1st captured civilian punches the other hard enough to knock them out.
Fortunately, right as this happens, Caleb, Sylvia, and Jackie, still holding their groceries, of course, run up and see the events unfolding.
Caleb: Look! Down there! (pulls out his Savage Blaster)
Sylvia: (stops him from rushing in) Wait! Hold on a second.
Varnacle: We have a winner! May he be set free!
An Amoebanoid steps into the ring and drags the one winning civilian out. The unconscious one, however? Varnacle walks up to them, holds up his ax, and shoots a yellow beam out of it that turns the person into…a fishing barrel…No, I'm not kidding about that, the person who losses turns into a fishing barrel.
Captured Civilian 1: H-Hey! You said we could go free if we fought!
Varnacle: Only winners go free! Losers? Well…they get to be broken down for their failures. (raises his ax)
Caleb: (gasps) That's it! (whips out his blaster) Fire!
He sends a blast right into Varnacle, which, while not seeming to do a ton of damage, does make sparks fly and gets his attention.
Varnacle: What the—
Jackie, Caleb, and Sylvia: Zoo Mode Go!
They say this while quickly pulling out their Morphers and instant-morphing as they run toward the little arena in slow-motion with a battle yell.
Varnacle: Amoebanoids!
The grunts go forward as we get fight footage that pretty much is a one-for-one creation of sentai footage, but with a slight location change given that we're now in a park as opposed to on some weird stone city steps.
We see a few seconds of Sylvia dodging some attacks, trying to make her wat to the captured people nearby while Jackie fights some Amoebanoids in the background, and keep in mind, none of them are using their Savage Weapons at the moment, before cutting to Caleb grabbing onto Varnacle's muscles and trying to push him away from the fight for a two-on-two.
Sylvia then pulls out her Savage Blaster, switches it to Saber mode, and cuts the net holding the captured people.
Sylvia: (while helping them escape) It's okay! We've got this! Get to safety, quick!
Varnacle: (after she cuts another part of the net) Hey! I worked hard to capture all that prey!
Part of this is said as he pulls out another electric fishing net and throws it right at Sylvia, who's surprised as it comes at her.
Jackie and Caleb: No! Syl!
The two rangers run forward and step in front of her to block the net as it comes down, getting caught and electrocuted by it in the process. In fact, the net is so effective that it fully demorphs/knocks them out.
Sylvia: Caleb!? Jackie!?
She tries to step forward and help, but she's forced to step away when an Amoebanoid runs in front of her and starts swinging at her with its blade, giving Varnacle the perfect opportunity to walk over and claim the prize catch of two Zoo-Keepers.
Varnacle: Wow! 2 in 1!? Congratulations to me!
With that, he and the unconscious ranger duo are teleported out in a slightly different green teleporting effect. Sylvia, who's now near the Civilian that got turned into a barrel, finally cuts down the Amoebanoid that got in her way after kicking it to the ground but looks back and realizes Varnacle got away.
Sylvia: Oh no! What'll I do?
However, as she says this, she changes the grip on her Savage Saber to be in reverse, and accidentally taps a red button, on the barrel next to her, which turns it back into the man who was just forced to fight. Immediately, Sylvia leans down to check on him.
Sylvia: Are you okay?
She looks around one more time to see it really is just her and the civilian left in this make ship arena.
Cue Theme Song (1 Minute)
We then cut to another part of Dolphin Coast as Benny, fully morphed and with his Primal Power Wings out, flies over a busy road while looking for Caleb and Jackie, text at the bottom of the screen saying, "Sometime Later."
Benny: Ugh. Still, nothing…(flies higher up) Come on guys…Where the heck did you go?
We get one more perspective shot while flying before we see him land in a field as Winston and Sylvia run up to him right when he demorphs upon landing.
Benny: I got nothing! Not even my super sight helped! How did you guys do?
Winston: Neither of them are replying to their phones, and we can't even teleport to them.
Sylvia: Ugh, this is all my fault. If I hadn't gotten distracted—
Benny: Hey, it's alright. At least you were there and didn't get taken either.
Winston: Benny's right. We can play the blame game another time, but for now, we just need to find a way to track down Jackie and Caleb.
Sylvia: Yeah, but what that way of tracking them could be is the tough part to think of. (she looks around for a second, but then stops on Winston's face) Wait! That's it!
The two then look at her confused but intrigued.
We then hard cut to some ceiling lights turning on as Caleb and Jackie wake up…inside a wrestling ring. One surrounded with the yellow netting from before.
Jackie: (while getting up) Oh man. What hit us, dude?
Caleb: (while getting up) I remember…something about uh…fishing net?
Varnacle: That was because of me.
The two look and snap fully awake upon seeing Varnacle, sitting in some red bleaches, with Amoebanoids in chairs on the bottom row.
Caleb: You! I remember now!
Varnacle: The name's Varnacle. I am a Viking warrior with the strength of your planet's puny barnacles.
Jackie: Well, at least I can kind of see it, unlike that javelin guy.
Caleb: Enough talk. It's Morphing Time!
He makes the motion to pull out his Morpher, but…nothing appears in his hands.
Caleb: Huh!? What the…?
Varnacle: Sorry. No weapons allowed. Not in MY Battle Show.
This is said as he holds up small fishing nets, one holding their Morphers, the other holding their Savage weapons, and zords.
Jackie: Hey! Give those back or—
Varnacle: Or what? You'll take them yourselves?
Jackie: You know what? We will!
The two then rush to the edge of the ring ready to climb over the nets, but right as they grab on, they both get shocked hard by the yellow netting and fall on their backs.
Caleb: (in some pain) Augh! Not again!
This makes the Amoebanoids make distorted hyena laughs as Varnacle stands back up and speaks.
Varnacle: Hahaha! Nice try! The only way to escape is by fighting each other. And if you don't, you'll BOTH be losers who get destroyed. One wins, one falls.
Jackie: (straining a little) Ugh, you…you can't be serious!
Varnacle: I am. So, either get to fighting, or I'll break you two into pieces.
Caleb tries to get up, seeming to have recovered from the electricity a bit quicker than Jackie, but then looks to his friend and sees her still straining herself a bit, which makes him look worried for 3 seconds. But then…a thought comes to his mind and he quickly gets on his feet looking more confident.
Caleb: So, to clarify…We fight…one of us goes.
Varnacle: See? Now you're getting it! Was that so hard?
Caleb: I see. Well in that case…
Jackie: Dude? What're you doing?
Caleb: Sorry, Jackie. (gets in a fighting stance) But it's better if one leaves than neither of us.
Jackie: (as quickly she gets back up) Wait what!?
Varnacle: It's about time! READY, fight!
With that, an Amoebanoid rings a wrestling bell near the bottom row.
Caleb then rushes forward at Jackie, who dodges his attacks for a few seconds as Varnacle sits back down while laughing and stroking his beard.
Next, we cut back to the Sanctum, as Winston and Benny talk with Martha.
Martha: So, you haven't got any leads on them yet?
Winston: Not yet. We're waiting for Sylvia to come back because she said she has an idea of how to find them.
Benny: Yeah, but we have no idea what it is though, so let's hope she gets back soon.
Just then, Sylvia teleports down into the Sanctum with something in her hands.
Sylvia: Gentlemen? Martha? I found our solution!
Martha: What did you get for us, Syl?
Sylvia: Behold. Caleb's backup shirt from the Savannah Sector lockers.
Benny: …Okay? …How is this gonna help find them?
Sylvia: Simple. Winston?
Winston: Yeah?
Sylvia: Smell this for me.
Winston: What!?
Martha: Oh, I get it. You want Winston to use his sense of smell to track them down.
Sylvia: You know it, boss!
Benny: Huh. That might actually work!
Winston: You can't be serious.
Benny: Come on, man, we need you. Jackie and Caleb could be in real danger right now and we gotta find them.
Winston: I know, I know, but…ugh, do I really have to smell this?
Sylvia: Well, if you want, I could grab JACKIE'S shirt instead and you can have an uncomfortable conversation with Hitarthi about it later.
Winston: (blushing) UH…f-fair point.
Benny: Just do it, man. One bad smell for two friends.
Winston: (sighs) You're right. (grabs the shirt from her hands) But just so we're clear, this didn't happen.
Martha: Big guy, ether smell that shirt and save your co-workers, our you're fired.
Winston: Alright, alright! I get it! (he then smells the shirt quickly, but strong enough to get something) UGH. Y-YEP. Definitely needs washing! (sniffs it one more time just to make sure he recognizes the smell) Gah! A-Alright. It's faint, but I think...I smell something.
Sylvia: Great. Let's get topside, and get our friends back, boys.
Cutting back to said friends, we see Jackie still dodging Caleb as he tries to fight her. It starts with her bouncing off a net corner for a second, a tiny shock hitting her arm, before Caleb then leaps onto and off the net corner to then pin Jackie down to the ground. He tries to make "claw slash" movements at her head but misses twice, and on his second attempt to hit her while she's down, she's able to push him off of her as Varnacle watches in the bleachers.
Varnacle: Now this is more like it!
Caleb: (misses another hit) Jackie! Stop running and fight back!
He tries to get hits on her a few more times with his hands but she's able to either block or dodge all of them; her face now looking more annoyed.
Caleb: Time to unleash my full power!
He rushes forward and throws a punch right at her…and she catches it with ease while standing completely still.
Jackie: (with an annoyed look) Oh really? Then why was that so WEAK?
Caleb: Wait, what?
Jackie: (pushes him back) Don't lie to me, Caleb.
Caleb: What are you talking about—
Jackie: (grabs him by the shirt) You've been going easy on me this whole round! You were planning on losing, weren't you!?
Caleb: Uh, n-no?
Jackie: …I knew it.
Caleb: Well…so what if I was! (shakes free of her grip) Friends shouldn't hurt each other like this, especially for no reason! Besides…as a gentleman, unless they're a criminal or a monster, I should never hurt a woman. I'll gladly be turned into a barrel if it means protecting you!
Jackie: (there's a slight pause)…I hate that, you know.
Caleb: Huh?
Jackie: I've always hated that part of you. The part of you that goes easy on me because I'm a girl!
Caleb: What-N-No, I don't that!
Jackie: Don't you remember? Around the first time, we met when practicing with those sparing matches?
Caleb: That has something to do with our current situation…how?
Jackie: It fits because it's the same thing again with you!
We then get a flashback to several months ago to see why Jackie is so defensive about this as she keeps narrating.
Jackie: At first I didn't notice it. But as we kept fighting and practicing…I saw you holding back more…and more.
We see at least 3 back to back memories from their training days where Caleb would hold back a little in some training sessions and almost let her take him down.
Jackie: And then…there was our LAST sparring match. The one last month.
We see the two sparing again like usual, but the fight is about to end with the two delivering finishing blows. Both run towards each other, ready to deliver finishing punches to the face, but right as they do…Caleb's fist stops inches away from her face while Jackie still hits his, sending him onto his back. Jackie snaps out of fighting mode, looks down, and sees Caleb getting up with a groan of pain…and a bloody nose. Her face looks a bit guilty and upset as we snap back to reality.
Jackie: You took it easy on me because I was a girl…and I hurt you!... That's not something I should be proud of!...A-And now, you're doing it again, in a way where…if one of us loses, we could get killed, and you're just…OK with that, dude!?... Well…I'm not…I don't want to hurt you again! Not if you're holding out on me!
Caleb: (his expression softens) Jackie, I….I never mean to, I…I just thought that maybe...
Varnacle: Alright, enough is enough! (with a snap of his fingers, they get electrocuted again) Remember, no fighting, you're BOTH losers who parish! So stop with all the chattering, get back into it, and keep up the fight!
Jackie: …Fine! (gets back up on her feet) Caleb?... Fight me for real this time…I mean it…Because I'm gonna fight my hardest as well.
Caleb: (exhales)…J-Jackie…
Jackie: And let me warn you…I know when you hold back.
Caleb: (gets up with an annoyed sigh) Fine…But in that case…you better fight like your life's dependent on it.
Jackie: You do it first, loudmouth.
Caleb: (clenches his fist) With pleasure!
He rushes forward in slow motion, readying another punch, allowing us to see Jackie smirk at him finally taking this more seriously. He punches right at her and though she's able to block it from hitting her face by crossing her arms, it's clear he's finally using his full strength as it's still enough to push her back. She's able to stop herself from being pushed by this punch into the ring before lowering her arms and quickly karate chipping him in the face, which makes him step back.
Caleb: Haha! Please! You know I've taken worse. (points to the scar on his left cheek)
Jackie: I can do worse if it'll keep you this serious about fighting for once.
He then tries to punch her again, but she's able to quickly dodge his attack and keep trying to hit him, the two giving us some of their fight for 4 seconds.
As the two continue their fight, the Headhunters and Sagittar watch the battle through their cockpit monitor.
Midaria: Well, they seem more into it now.
Sagittar: (as he grabs a drink) Ah, the sight of former allies being turned against each other.
He then stands up from his thrown, catching the others off guard.
Sagittar: What a wonderful sight to behold!
Cutting back down to the fight, we get around 9 to 10 more seconds of our Shark and Lion ranger brawling.
Though Jackie's still putting up a good fight, now that Caleb isn't holding back, it's a little more difficult for her to keep up with him. And this culminates with him getting another one good punch to her arm, then another to her stomach, and then he picks her up as high as he can, which isn't much but still enough to lift her off the ground, and with that, Caleb throws Jackie into the netting, which shocks her for a second before falling back on the floor.
Caleb: (confidently) What's wrong?... I thought you wanted me to go full force.
Jackie, a little out of breath, tilts her head in a way that says "Fair enough" as she stands back up and we cut over to the monsters.
Varnacle: Guess we're about finished here.
Caleb: You heard him, Jack…Let's finish this for good! Shall we!?
He then pumps his arms for a second before rushing forward, Jackie looking up in time to see this as we get a shot of her pushing herself off the ring's netting, getting just a tiny shock to her hands in the process so that she can start rushing at him in a slow-motion shot.
But then, right as the two close in, ready to deliver final punches right to each other's faces…the others arrive.
Benny: (after they're run in) Guys! We're here!
With that, Caleb and Jackie instantly stop fighting. And once again…Jackie's fist nearly hits his face, though he dodges it, but his fist? Stops inches away from hers.
Jackie and Caleb look at each other confused for a second, but they snap out of it.
Caleb: Oh! L-Lads! They have our Morphers!
Amoebanoids start running up to the ranger trio on the bleachers as Benny and the others pull out their Morphers for a quick change. Though Benny is able to quickly say…
Benny: Zoo! Mode! Go!
Of course, he turns the Morpher top and transforms with Winston and Sylvia quick enough to stop their oncoming enemies.
Winston and Sylvia: Savage Blasters!
They say this while pulling out said weapons and rapid firing at both the triangular devices powering the electric nets around the arena ring.
After blocking a strike from an Amoebanoid, Benny whips the Eagle Shredder straight forward at Varnacle. And while it misses the monster himself, it's able to get a grip on the fishing net holding Caleb and Jackie's Morphers.
Benny: (as he catches the net in his left hand) Yes! Got it!
Varnacle: How did you 3 even find us!?
Benny: We've got a good friend with a great way of tracking things.
As he says part of this sentence, we cut to several minutes earlier at least where we see the trio unmorphed at the place where Jackie and Caleb got captured, as Winston tries to pick up the scent he got earlier.
Benny: Anything?
Winston: (catches something) I got it! It's this way!
Benny and Sylvia follow quickly after him as we cut back to now.
Sylvia: As well as a smelly shirt to lead the way. (of course, said as she holds up the shirt)
Winston: H-Hey! You don't have to tell them that!
Back over to our fighting duo…
Caleb: (as he sits down) Finally! We're saved.
Jackie: Y-Yeah. We are.
She says this with some disappointment in her voice.
But anyway, now with the electric stuff down, the others get over the ring's netting with ease; Winston and Benny leaping over it, while Sylvia rolls under it.
Sylvia: Thank goodness you're okay!
Benny: (holding their Morphers) Jackie. Caleb. We'll take it from here.
Jackie: Yeah…not a chance, handsome.
Benny: Huh?
Jackie: We're fighting too.
Caleb: (as they take grab Morphers) Indeed! Time is a battle WORTH fighting.
Right after he finishes saying this, we get a brief close-up of Jackie's face, still a little disappointed in herself.
But of course, there's much bigger fish to fry right now, if you will.
With that, they open their Morphers, press the right buttons, close the tops, and for the first time, we get a duo morph of just Jackie and Caleb together.
Jackie and Caleb: It's morphing time! Zoo! Mode! Go! (spin the tops to the animal side)
Of course, they morph in a way you should be familiar with by now, and once their helmets appear, it's time for the roll call.
Benny: Keeper of the Sky! Red Eagle Ranger!
Jackie: Keeper of the Ocean! Blue Shark Ranger!
Caleb: Keeper of the Savannah! Yellow Lion Ranger!
Winston: Keeper of the Forest! Green Elephant Ranger!
Sylvia: Keeper of the Tundra! White Tigress Ranger!
Benny: (pulls out his Eagle Shredder) Power Rangers! (waves it around the ARENA this time instead of a green screen)
The Rangers: …Zoo-Keepers! (cue sentai footage team pose/no greenscreen this time)
Varnacle: There's no use resisting, rangers! With enough time, I'll make all life on this world battle and destroy itself!
Benny: If you go—(gets caught off)
Jackie and Caleb: Time to go ANIMALISTIC.
Varnacle: Amoebanoids! (the blaring grunts appear again in front of him) FIGHT!
Cue a shot of a wrestling bell comedically getting rung.
We then cut to Benny, Winston, and Sylvia running outside the stadium fighting against the Amoebanoids. After a few seconds of them branching off, a few seconds of Winston fighting some Amoebanoids, and then a few seconds of Sylvia fighting some, we cut back to Benny as he whips the Eagle Shredder around one of the grunts, punches back a few others, and then pulls back, slashing at the monster's core.
Next, we cut to Jackie and Caleb, who are away from the others and taking on Varnacle with hand-to-hand combat.
Jackie makes hand motions that make her hands look like fins while Caleb slashes as if he had claws.
After several seconds of this back and forth, which ends with them briefly knocking Varnacle onto his back, the Viking villain gets back up on his feet, pulls out his ax, and sends out rapid ax-like energy strikes that Caleb and Jackie quickly dodge.
Varnacle then rushes forward after the flying energy strikes cease and tries to strike at the two with his ax. Jackie gets out of the way while Caleb keeps pushing back against the monster to a point where after he gets smacked down for a second by Varnacle, who then tries to bring his ax down on him…
Caleb: PRIMAL POWER.
…he's able to grow his Primal Power claws in the blink of an eye and catch the oncoming ax right on its blades with his hands. Varnacle tries to break the ax free of his grip but the Yellow Lion Ranger hangs on tight.
Caleb: This is nothing to me!
Jackie: (watching a few feet away) Woah. NICE.
Caleb then releases the ax and strikes Varnacle in the torso with his Lion Lightning twice. Once he's on the ground, Caleb leaps atop this Thor-faced freak and slashes at both his face and upper torso. Even when he's briefly pushed off, he just quickly leaps back on top of him and slashes him some more. He then lifts Varnacle by his shoulders and gets him into a position where Caleb is pushing up his foot against his torso, about to kick him into the sky.
Caleb: (as he grabs onto Varnacle) Now Jackie!
Jackie: (snaps out of it) Primal Power!
With a nearly seamless shot mixing CGI and practical effects, Jackie's Primal Power fin upgrade sprouts right out of her back. Caleb then uses his leg strength to kick Varnacle into the air, followed by Jackie then also leaping into the air to attack.
Jackie: Shark SPIN DASH.
Naturally, she transforms into spinning blue energy and flies across the sky slashing against Varnacle. For her final hit, she grinds into him a bit more than the last few hits and sends him flying straight into the hard concrete while she lands right back on her feet next to Caleb as he gets up.
Caleb: (as he walks up and wraps his right arm around Jackie) That's what you get for messing with the power of Land and Sea—
Jackie: (while pushing him off) Save it, loudmouth. Let's cut him like a fishing net.
She says this second sentence while pulling out her Savage Blaster.
The Others: Right! (they do the same)
Jackie and Caleb: (change their weapon modes) Savage Sabers!
Benny, Winston, and Sylvia: (change their weapon modes) Savage Blasters!
The team then poses as their weapons each glow a specific color indicating they're all charging this attack while saying…
The Rangers: WILD FINAL…Strike!
Jackie and Caleb then lunge straight up into the air as the others launch their attack first.
Benny, Winston, and Sylvia: FIRE!
Said trio quickly fires 3 large and fully charged energy block shots (one red, one green, and one purple) right into Varnacle's chest, followed by Caleb and Jackie coming back down from the air with their swords aiming straight down in a reverse grip, as energy surrounds them that makes it look it yellow and blue carnivore teeth are chomping right down on Varnacle, which of course makes his body start sparking. Then, as if that weren't enough, Caleb and Jackie strike him again with their sabers in slow motion, slashing at him with their swords as that same CGI carnivore jaw effect comes down again, this time making him spew lightning out of his body.
Our ranger duo comes to a complete stop as the monster behind them/in front of the others sparks lightning and finally blows up as the duo turns around.
Caleb: (side hugging Jackie) Righto! Revenge is best with the power of friends!
Jackie: (as she tries to break free of the side hug while he talks) O-Ok, I get it, we're friends, now let go!
Back up on the Arrow Galion…
Insidion: Well, I haven't lost YET. (raises his hand) Midaria? Would you mind?
Midaria: (while pulling out a continuation coin) Not at all.
Cut down to her on Earth after a teleport…
Midaria: Pretty shabby job for someone who loves battles. I hope you can at least make up for it on the macro-scale, Varnacle.
Naturally, she slides the coin into his slot, and the fallen warrior jolts up only to grow gigantic.
Varnacle: (while growing) Haha! Rematch time!
Caleb: You're gonna wish you stayed down you bearded bugger! (then pulls out his zord in a close-up shot)
Cut to the zords already giant as the team leaps into their cockpits.
This time, however, instead of individual attacks, Benny instantly opens up his Morpher and starts pressing the Megazord buttons on his Morpher.
Benny: (while pressing the buttons) You've earned this for capturing our friends! (closes his Morpher) Megazord activate!
He spins the top to the blue side, and the zords go cubic before stacking atop each other.
Benny, Jackie, and Caleb: Zoo King Megazord! Ready!
Varnacle: (now with a giant fishing net in hand) Wow! Imagine the battles I could have if I caught THAT.
Jackie: Well, if you want a fight…
Caleb: …then face us yourself, Norse-Nose!
The Yellow Lion Ranger spins his command cube and makes the Megazord charge forward. It begins the fight with three sword slashes. Varnacle blocks the first, dodges the second, and then blocks the third. He then backs up and strikes the Megazord in the chest with his ax.
Winston: Let's move Syl! (spins his command cube)
Sylvia: Vamos! (spins her command cube)
The Tiger and Elephant zord charge forward while simultaneously blasting their signature attacks, (energy claws and an energy beam) but Varnacle's ax takes both attacks.
Varnacle: Care to see how I powered my nets!?
As he finishes that sentence, he fires purple electricity out of his head, which hits both zords directly.
Once this attack ceases, he throws his giant fishing net around the two, forcing them into block mode, and picks them up once they're fully caught.
Winston: Ah! Crap!
Sylvia: This isn't good!
Benny, Jackie, and Caleb: Guys!
Varnacle: Too easy! (said as he sets the 2 aside)
Benny: (while pulling out another zord) Reticulated Giraffe Zord!
The Red Ranger throws the newest addition to their zords out of the Megazord cockpit, which makes it grow giant.
Benny: You got this, pal!
The zord unfolds into its animal form and comes to a stop at the caught zords. Once stopped, he vacuums up the fishing net with its snout, allowing the zords to get free.
Winston and Sylvia: Thanks!
Benny: Alright! Time to finish this!
The Giraffe zord then bends its body back and goes into cannon mode before linking up with the Zoo King Megazord's right hand.
Jackie: This battle's run its course! (as the Megazord aims)
Varnacle: What now!?
The Megazord then slides its right foot forward to get into a good firing position.
Benny, Jackie, and Caleb: Giraffe Zord, Wild Final Strike!
Just like the last 3 Megazord fights, energy pours over them as they spin their command cubes and launches forward into their finishing attack. Only this time, instead of giant rapid-fire blasts, it's a charged-up singular missile-like shot that lands directly into Varnacle's chest.
Varnacle: Augh! I guess battles are more fun to watch than to fight in! Gah!
With that final "gah", he falls flat on his face and blows up as the Zoo King Megazord poses with the Giraffe zord in hand as cubic debris flies.
Benny: (as the others celebrate) Alright! Animals, WON.
Cut to a shot of the Zoo King Megazord posing with the Elephant and Tiger zord standing beside it.
Back up on the Arrow Galion…
Sagittar: That was very entertaining, Insidion.
Insidion: Thank you, my master.
Blockhead: Please. If I tried that plan, it wouldn't have ended with me losing to the power of FRIENDSHIP.
Insidion: (while pushing him a little) Oh, be quiet.
Blockhead chuckles at his annoyance before we cut back down to Earth.
With the battle over, we cut to the Aquarium, and see Jackie cleaning the Shark Tank from the outside when there doesn't seem to be too many visitors at the moment; text at the bottom of the screen reading "That Afternoon". After a close-up shot of our Blue Ranger where she strains herself a tiny bit as she moves the cleaning tools up and down, we see Caleb walking up behind her.
Caleb: Hey Jackie. How's it going?
Jackie: (while not looking at him) A little sore…Bit of a headache, but nothing some medicine won't fix.
Caleb: Ah. Good…Umm…
Jackie: Is that all, Caleb?
Cale: No actually, I uh…I came to apologize.
Jackie: (looks at him) …What?
Caleb: I came here to apologize to you.
Jackie: But…why?
Caleb: Well…I figure you know that...I held back on the final punch. (Jackie sighs and nods to this) I know, you don't want me holding back, and in hindsight, YEAH, I could do better at that, I just...I didn't want to hurt you too much because…(sighs) because you work so hard already.
We then get a brief flashback montage while Caleb gives some narration, kind of like what Jackie did before, but a bit differently.
As he does, we're going to show 20 seconds of Jackie doing work for both her jobs.
Caleb: You do overnight hours, jogging around closing time, cleaning the tanks, feeding the sharks, and so much else for the Aquarium, but on top of that, you've put in work as a Power Ranger and…you've done at the VERY least some GOOD work if I do say so myself.
As he speaks, we get very brief shots, maybe 2 seconds for each at most showcasing not only the stuff he just mentioned, but also some footage from the last 4 episodes of Jackie putting in the work as a ranger, mainly through cutting down Amoebanoids, using her Shark Spin Dash, and piloting her zord.
Then, we cut back to the present to see that the confusion we saw Jackie's face has faded as he continues.
Caleb: I held back on you, not just because you're my friend but because…I didn't want to hurt someone who already pushes themselves so much every day…But…now I see that…in doing so, I still unintentionally hurt your feelings and…made you think you were hurting me for no reason, so…I'm sorry about that. I never meant to make you feel like you were hurting me.
Jackie's expression, now much more softened, displays way more guilt on her face than it ever did in the arena.
Caleb: …Well, uh…see you around then?
Jackie: Wait, STOP…I'm the one who should apologize. I'M the one who got angry at you over this, and it's so stupid in hindsight! Sure, I'd like you to be a bit more serious when training against me, and, yes, I don't think you should be okay with hurting yourself just to make me happy, but…at the end of the day, I still got made at you over not wanting to FIGHT YOUR FRIEND, and that was stupid of ME to do…I owe you the real apology here.
Caleb (thinks about this for a second) …You know what? Let's compromise.
Jackie: Comprise?
Caleb: Yeah! How about I start going less easy on you in practice, BUT, in exchange…you promise me that…you'll just take a few more breaks from work. Deal?
Jackie: (thinks about it for a second) You know what? Deal.
Caleb: Great! But I mean it though. I don't want you pushing yourself too hard if you don't need to.
Jackie: Well, in that case, that goes double for you and restraining yourself, dude. I mean, there's a reason you have that scar on your cheek.
Caleb: Hehe. Fair enough I suppose…You know…I'm on break right now, so…if you want some help with that, I mean, I'm not exactly a great cleaner or anything, but—
Jackie: Of course, you can help me out.
With that, they both smile at each other and get to work cleaning the outside of the Shark Tank together.
Caleb: Oh, by the way, one more question.
Jackie: Fire away, dude.
Caleb: Maybe it's just from being hit or something but, when the others rescued us earlier…did you call Benny handsome?
Jackie: (her eyes widen/she blushes a little) …UH...NO idea what you're talking about.
Caleb: (picks up on it) Alright…I gotcha. (has a sly grin on his face)
Jackie: I can go full force again if you want me to.
Caleb: (holds his hands up) No, no, say no more, I didn't hear anything!
Jackie: Yeah. That's what I thought.
The two then get back to work, cleaning the glass.
But then, as the episode ends…we cut to a shot of the sun going from day to night…and then cut to a small forest hut during nighttime.
Inside it we see someone sitting down and making themselves some kind of tea.
The tools they're using have an almost cubic shape to them.
And their hands…have back FUR around them.
That's because this person…is a gorilla ZOOMAN. The more humanoid ape takes a big sip of fresh tea as the episode ends…while a similar theme to Harris' plays.
