Chapter 5: Summer School
Upon arriving at the summer school, the boys knew that they did not belong there. They needed a way out, but what could they do now. They were trapped in a school in the middle of summer. Instead of having fun with their friends, they were forced to learn. On the first day of summer school, the boys were put in their rooms. Luckily for Phineas and Ferb, they were put in the same room. Their room only consisted of a bed and a bathroom and was rather boring. For the next few months, or until summer ended, the boys were forced to stay in this dull and boring room. Their day usually consisted of learning, and for the most part was repetitive. Everyday they would wake up at six AM, and go straight to their classroom, where they would be lectured on a variety of things. For the next few hours, the brothers were forced to listen and learn. Afterwards they would go for lunch, where they were able to communicate with the other kids in the school. The lunch was nothing special, as it consisted of frozen food items, however it did the job. After lunch, the boys would go back to learning until it was ten PM. After ten PM the boys were forced to go back to their room and go to sleep. Everyday, the boys would repeat this schedule. Overtime, the repetitiveness of the schedule got to their heads, as they decided that they were going to build something that would help them escape the school.
Half a month in the school had gone by, and the boys decided that they were going to recruit some of the other students to help them build something to escape the school. The first student was a boy by the name of Quentin. Quentin was a talkative kid, who dreaded summer school. Like Phineas and Ferb, he also got in trouble by his parents, and wished to spend the rest of his summer with his friends. During lunch time, Phineas would talk to Quentin, and over the past half a month the two had grown quite close to one another. They had talked about they hated summer school and wanted to leave. Next, they recruited a girl by the name of Annalise. Annalise was not as talkative as Quentin, but she did talk more than Ferb. She was very smart and knew a lot of information which could help Phineas and Ferb escape from the prison. The last person who Phineas recruited was a girl by the name of Sophia. Sophia was very similar to the brothers, as she knew how to build inventions. She was very creative and was overall a perfect asset for Phineas. Together, the five of them were determined to escape the school and enjoy their summer again.
One night, the boys decided that they were going to hold their first meeting. At lunch they informed Quentin, Annalise, and Sophia to come to their room at night, and they all agreed. After class ended at night, and it was time to head back to the rooms, the three of them secretly separated from everyone else and headed towards Phineas and Ferbs room. Once they entered the room, they were greeted by the brothers, and together, they sat down and start thinking of ideas. At first Quentin recommended that they should just simply try to escape the school without any type of invention. This idea was quickly turned down, as the group of children would not be able to spend their summer in peace if they escaped. Search teams would constantly be looking for them, and overall, they would not be able to have fun. They needed a way to erase the minds of everyone, so they could escape. Suddenly Phineas had an idea of building a time machine. They would be able to go back to the first day of summer, and nobody would know that they got in trouble. They would be able to spend their summer free of worry. Everyone agreed on the idea, but they had one question. How were they going to get the tools and material needed to build a time machine if they were locking inside of a building. In an instant Annalise said that during one of the nights, we can escape and get all the tools and materials from the town. Everyone agreed on the idea. The plan was set, and now all they needed to do was execute the plan. The other three kids then headed back to their room in silence, with a big grin on their faces.
