24th July. Day 2.

The Dalton gentlemen were sitting gathered round the common room discussing how things will be different when Kurt returned tomorrow. It was mid afternoon, it hadn't stopped raining for six hours and the sky was a tar black and the rain was heavy. The room felt much smaller than usual,

Like there is something outside pressing against the windows, aching to come in. A thousand, million taps at once.

Tap. Tap. Tap.

"Has anyone heard about what room he'll be boarding in?" Wes piped up. He lifted a blood bag up to his lips and and took a sip. His eyes nearly rolling back into his head at the sweet taste of a 0 positive. It was his favourite. It was never the same as sinking his teeth down on a pulsating neck but they made a promise to make Kurt more comfortable when he first came to Dalton and even after three years it still stuck. They could sustain a normal eternal life on blood bags, they wasn't as strong and their compelling abilities where dulled but they all felt better for it.

"I know there's two rooms available currently at the moment. One next to Nick and Jeff's room and one next to-

"My room." Blaine answered David back. Blaine signed and carried on "I mean c'mon guys, it's got to be some sort of a sick joke to actually have him boarding next to me right?" He was extremely tired. Tired of hearing his name for the past two days. The more he heard his name the more he became infuriated and cut up. Blaine thought that talking about him would make it easier on his arrival back but it just made him more pissed. David walked over to Blaine and handed him a cup full of the red liquid and Blaine gulped it down quickly before placing the empty cup on the table. He always used a cup and refused to drink from a blood bag. He knew Kurt didn't care eventually but he did it out of respect. "Thank you David." David smiled gently before taking a seat back down next to Wes.

"It's all kind of fucked up." Nick rolled his eyes "Do you really think Mr Alexander would do that? He's got to be some kind of a sick bastard to even think of boarding Kurt next to you." Nick expressed. He placed his hand on top of his boyfriends, tracing back and forth with his thumb. He was so annoyed and was dreading the day that scum would walk back through the halls of Dalton.

"Baby, maybe it would be a good thing his boarding next to Blaine right? Yes, it's going to hurt like a bitch for all of us especially Blaine but why not do it that way and then you're ripping the band-aid off quickly?" Jeff lifted their joined hand and placed a soft kiss to it. He turned towards Blaine and added "Wouldn't that be better than the alternative? We all have to live with him guys, maybe it will give you the chance to heal Blaine." Jeff spoke softly as he focused on Blaine's face, examining him for any changes of emotion. He loved Blaine the word and back but he needed to fight Kurt's corner. Someone needed too.

"I just.. I just don't know what to think Jeff. It's been a year of grieving for him and I still don't know how I'm going to react when I see him." Blaine said annoyed, lifting to eyes to meet his. "I'm fucking sick of hearing his name! I'm sick to my stomach knowing I have to even be remotely around him!" Blaine stood and started to pace round the common room. "I fucking hate him! I can't even put into words how much I would love to rip his head off his-

"You don't mean that Blaine! You don't mean none of it!" Jeff screamed back. His piercing eyes glowing red. "You don't want to admit it but you still love him Blaine.. You still love him. You always will love him. I know you're hurting Blaine but FUCK! We are all hurting. I know he did this to you but what about us Blaine? HE FUCKING BROKE US TOO!" Jeff started to race towards Blaine, his heart felt like it was coming out of his chest.

"What the fuck do you want me to do Jeff? Huh? Do want me to pretend everything is okay? That everything is going to go back to normal? Because that's what you think is going to happen right?" Blaine bellowed back, taking a step closer to the younger vampire "You think when he comes back we will kiss and makeup and everything will be okay but guess what Jeff? You're so full of fucking shit it's unbelievable! If you think for one minute that I'll forgive him you're totally-

Slap!

Gasps were heard across the common room. The sound could have been cut with a knife. Jeff withdrew his had quickly and looked at it in disgust. He had never hit any of his family before. Blaine lifted a hand to his cheek, the faint redness beginning to form. Raising his hurt eyes to meet Jeff's.

"Blaine I'm so fucking-

"Fuck you, Jeff." Blaine said tearful as he took one more look at him before turning round and making his way out the door.

"Blaine! Wait! I'm sorry just please come b-

SLAM!

The heavy doors were slammed shut behind Blaine. Jeff looked at his hand again. Feeling the sting as he took a shaky breath before turning back round. They were all staring at him in shock. They knew Jeff would never hurt anyone intentionally.

"Nick I'm sorry! I don't know what came over me!" He sobbed placing his hands towards his face. Nick rushed over and cupped his face so they were staring at each other. He knew his boyfriend didn't mean it. The one thing Nick knew Jeff loved more than anything was Kurt. A tear ran down Jeff's face and Nick quickly swiped it away. God he loved this man.

"It's okay baby, I got you." Nick leaned forward capturing his boyfriend in a sweet kiss before pulling back and wrapping his arms round him. He placed a kiss to his cheek and whispered in his ear. "I'll go. I'll go and talk to Blaine, okay?"

Jeff nodded weakly before pulling back. He looked away ashamed for a minute before taking one last look at Nick before he walked over to Wes and David. Wes had his arms out ready to embrace him. Jeff accepted it quickly as Wes pulled him closer. David put a confronting hand on his shoulder before speaking up "You go man, we've got him."

Nick nodded and headed to the door to find his best friend. He walked through the long corridors, looking through every room door as he went by. Most of the students where packing to go home for the weekend. It was a Thursday and Mr Alexander wanted to bring Kurt back the Friday so he would have a weekend to settle before classes started. Nick continued his search for his friend. He began to climb the winding extravagant staircase. He started to think about how hard this is affecting his best friend and boyfriend.

Nick loved Kurt dearly. He was the type of guy you would fall in love with instantly. He was witty, charming, intelligent and extremely beautiful. He eyes was a piercing blue like the ocean. Nick always use to make a joke about how he could drown in Kurt's eyes but now the only think that's drowning is his family. He remembers the first time Blaine laid his eyes on the porcelain skinned boy. He remembered the first time Blaine and Kurt seen each other for the first time.

His electric blue eyes met hazel eyes. The spark was almost instantaneously. He could hear the blue eyed boys heart beat erratically when Blaine smiled at him. He stared into his eyes and he stared right back. "Hi." The pale boy said shyly with a slight blush on his face.

Blaine was infatuated right from the start. He was draw in from the minute he heard his angelic voice. Nick shook away the memories headed towards Blaine's room. He knocked but there was no answer. He huffed in frustration and started banging with his fists

"Cmon Blainers, I can hear you I know you're there. Just open the door. Please?" There was shuffling before the door swung open to reveal Blaine. He had looked like he had been crying. He clothes where disheveled and his once neatly gelled hair was now ruined as small curls began to frame his face. He looked exhausted. Blaine stepped aside to let Nick into his room.

"I wanna apologise on Jeff's behalf. That was so unlike him.. It's really affecting him Blaine and I know that's no excuse but you have to underst-

Blaine cut Nick off with a hug as he embraced his best friend. Nick pulled back and lifted Blaine's head up with his finger. "Damn, that's quit the mark you've got there Anderson." They both laughed and Blaine rolled his eyes

"I would really appreciate if you kept your boyfriend on a leash Nick."

"You say that one more time I dare you, I'll do more than leave you with a red mark."

Nick smirked before taking his hand and leading Blaine towards his bed. They sat there for a while, a million thoughts going through there heads.

"I didn't mean to speak to him like that Nick. I know he thinks the world of Kurt."

"I know sweetheart I know." Nick started to play with a escaped curl on the nape of his neck. Blaine let out a breath and relaxed into nicks touch.

"I.. I don't hate him Nick, Jeff is right. I tried to for the past year. I just hate what he's done. I was just so fucking angry Nick and I most probably will be for a very long time." Blaine took another shaky breath and Nick let him continue. "I love him Nicky. I just know that I will never be able to forgive him. Seeing him tomorrow..I just don't know what I'll do." Blaine leaned into nicks shoulder and Nick put a supporting arm round his shoulder.

"As much as I hate to admit it. Jeff is also right about him having no one. Think about it. This was his home for three years Blaine. He made relationships here that would of lasted a lifetime. Don't get me wrong Blaine I miss him but I want nothing to do with him. He's pretty much dead to me B but if my boyfriend wants to be that person for him then I respect it. I respect Jeff for being that type of person. I'll never forgive him either Blaine but we can do this, okay? We can do this brother." Blaine nodded and kissed Nick on the cheek.

"I better go and see Jeff. I need.. I need to apologise to him." Nick nodded and laughed.

"Yep. You most definitely do but so does he." Nickrolled his eyes and stood up, holding his hand out to Blainefor him to help him up.

They came to the common room doors and Nick opened it gently for Blaine to walk through. Jeff, Nick and David was sitting down in the couches waiting for their arrival.

"I'm so sorry! I don't know what came over me!" Jeff stood and made his way over to Blaine and Blaine smiled opening his arms to let Jeff know everything was okay.

"I'm sorry too Jeff. I shouldn't of spoke to you like that. I'm just so angry and confused and… I just don't know what to do." He looked at the younger vampire with tired eyes. He didn't want to fight anymore, especially with Jeff.

"Do you forgive me?"

"Always."
