This is my second prompt I have made for Camp Jupiter: War Games, so hopefully it's somewhat good. This is really late but I wanted to write it. There are no OC or Own Characters in this prompt.

Looking at the Unicorns

Hazel slowly slipped out of her bed. She grabbed her bag and her shoes. She opened her bedroom door and slipped into the hall. No one was awake.

Hazel quickly walked to the front door and opened. Careful not to make any noise. Hazel slipped on her shoes and was half way through the front yard when she heard a voice.

"Where are you going?" the voice whispered.

Hazil turned around, to see her brother.

"Nico, what are you doing up!" Hazel whispered.

"I asked you first Hazel" Nico whispered back as he stepped out of the shadow. Sometimes Hazel wished that she was a Necromancy mage, not just an Earth mage.

"Whagadoodle the unicorn, is supposed to have her foal tonight, I was hoping to go see them. Now why are you awake?" Hazel whispered.

"It's not important why I'm awake, Hazel."

"Are you going to send me back inside?"

"No, I am not"

"You're going to cover for me?"

"I'll cover you"

"Thank you so much, Nico" Hazel whispered as she gave him a hug.

"Just be back before dawn" Nico whispered to her.

Hazel nodded and headed towards the stables.

The stables were a good 30 minutes hike. Hazel guessed it was probably around 10 or 10:30 pm. Hazel slipped through the woods. Being an Earth mage allowed Hazel to be able to tell where any roots, rocks or any other objects that were on the ground were at.

Hazel looked in her bag. A bottle of war, and a bag of cereal. If your step-grandmother is a Plant mage all she will give as gifts would be cereal. Sadly, neither Nico nor Hazel liked cereal.

Hazel contended to walk until she saw the stables. She quickly walked over to Whagadoodle's stall. Making sure not to scare her.

Hazel sat down about 40 feet away from the stall and started to watch Whagadoodle. Hazel was so intrigued about the unicorn that she did not sense that there was someone walking right towards her.

A stick broke, Hazel jumped and turned around to see a boy around her age.

"Frank what are you doing here?" Hazel asked the shapeshifting mage.

"I was trying to escape my father, he got mad at Clarisse again. What about you?" Frank asked.

"Whagadoodle is supposed to have her foal tonight" Hazel said as Frank nodded.

"So to escape your father, you went to the unicorn stables?" Hazel asked.

"I didn't know where else to go, anyway the stables are somewhat near my house. Though I am a big fan of unicorns" Frank said.

"How can you not like unicorns?!" Hazel asked.

"I was once chased by a unicorn when I was younger"

"Really"

"Yeah"

"When I was younger, Nico took me to the beach. Some of the mermaids thought it would be funny if they splash me."

"Mermaids? Bah!" Frank said.

Hazel laughed.

"Would you like some cereal?" Hazel asked.

Frank shook his head.

The two of them sat on the ground watching Whagadoodle.

"What are you two doing here?" asked a girl with dark brown hair and dark brown eyes, she looked to be around 12 or 13. The girl looked like she was dressed to take care of the unicorns.

"We-well-you see-" Frank stuttered.

"We fell asleep while we were waiting for Whagadoodle to have her foal, Claudia" said Hazel.

"Well you better start heading home, the sun will be rising soon. I'll see you guys around." Claudia said as she walked off, with her bucket.

"It was really nice talking to you last night Frank, maybe we can get together again." said Hazel as she got up.

"I would love that Hazel." said Frank.

"Bye" said Hazel as she ran towards her house.

Hazel Earth mage power was useful in helping Hazel not to trip on rocks or roots as she ran.

By the time she got to her house the sun was already rising.

She ran into her house.

"Where were you?" whispered Nico who was sitting at the dining table.

"I was at Whagadoodle's pen" whispered Hazel

"It took you all night to get there?"

"I fell asleep"

Nico groaned, "Did you at least see Whagadoodle's foal?"

"No, she did not have her foal."

Nico sighed.

"You know what that means?" asked Hazel.

Nico shook his head.

"I have to go again tonight!"
