Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Hidden Emperor. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own Star Wars; Lucas Arts and a few others do.

(2BBY)

The Vengeance arrived over Florrum, it's compliment of shuttles headed planet side. Brasam knew his men were taking down prisoners… And if needed? They'd take care of them. Not that Brasam wanted them to be killed on the planet.

"Captain. I told you that you are allowed to look over the rest of the ship." Brasam said as he turned and looked at the planet. "It's time to build up… The next phase of the plan starts now." Brasam stated as he rested his electrostaff against his shoulder.

He knew very well that new ships and men would be needed. Brasam tapped his staff on the ground for a moment as he sighed and turned.

"I heard from the contact." Lantre added which caused Brasam to walk towards him. "He's made an offer. We're retrieve a shipment of battle droids. All he needs is an important scientist extracted from Imperial prison." Lantre stated which was greeted with interest from Brasam.

"We're need a small team to break someone out…" Brasam said as he started to look over the holotable. "But perhaps we could achieve more than 1 goal in this." Brasam stated as he rested his hands on the holotable.

Brasam knew that this would not be easy to handle. Attacking an imperial prison could be spun as a Rebel attack. He knew for a fact that they could use the freighter to sneak in and rescue the scientist.

However? That meant sneaking in and dealing with being outnumbered and outgunned. They could clearly bombard the prison from orbit, but Brasam would be killing countless people.

No, he wasn't going to be a tyrant, or a monster. Still? He needed to rescue him.

"Is the prison orbital or groundside?" Brasam questioned as he leaned on the holotable. "We're need to be fast, direct. Risking the Vengeance isn't going to be an option. I'll lead the mission." Brasam stated while he looked to the side.

"Is it really the mission to be handling personally, my lord?" Lantre put in as the former royal guard turned to look at him. "We should handle this more discreetly. We have more work to handle at the moment. Besides, one rescue requires more delicate means then a jailbreak." Lantre put in which caused Brasam to shake his head.

"Yes, but we don't have a lot of time before they execute their prisoners, captain." Brasam put in as he cracked his fingers. "And we need allies. I'm not going to let people waste away within the prison… We can extract the prisoners there anyway. If we manage to break them out? Perhaps we're gather more allies willing to join our army." Brasam put in while he turned and hummed.

He needed to plan the next move he made carefully. If they attacked the prison and extracted more people? Then they could recruit more people into Brasam's group. He required as many soldiers as possible.

But Brasam didn't view his soldiers as cannon fodder. They were warriors, staff. People who helped spread his ideals and carry out his will. Sidious saw pawns, Brasam saw nothing but good soldiers doing their duties.

"What did you suggest, captain?" Brasam questioned as Lantre looked at the hologram.

"From what little I've heard of this…" Brasam heard as the captain typed in a command on the table. "There's some Imperial chatter of some soldiers on Kamino. I've heard of a few cloners who wish to restart the cloning project… Against the emperor's wishes." Lantre put in which caused Brasam to hum.

"Your suggestion to break out a Confederation officer… Is to recruit more people?" Brasam asked as he turned to look out the window.

"I'm suggesting we pick a distraction." Lantre suggested as Brasam raised an eyebrow. "There are plenty of less protected targets… If we pick one close to the prison? It will allow us to sneak in while they recall units. The prison is mostly automated anyway… The empire relies too much on brute force rather then more subtle means." Lantre pointed out as Brasam nodded.

"Locate a target close to Naraka." Brasam ordered as he crossed his arms and looked at the holotable. "I have a plan on how to extract the scientist…. But you cannot stay. We need this attack to be small, discreet, and quick." Brasam stated as Lantre nodded.

"The opposite of the empire, I understand." Lantre said as he turned to Brasam. "Do remember not every person will be as supportive as I am, my lord." Lantre said as Brasam shook his head.

He knew Lantre wasn't trustworthy at the moment. Someone who chose credits over loyalty? It would help only until they had nothing to gain from it.

"You're a valuable ally, Captain." Brasam said before turning and leaving.

He knew that he'd have to keep an eye on Lantre. Until down the road.
