Out of the group of the Seven Deadly Sins, it seems as if Bakugou gets along with Ban the Fox of Greed the most. Perhaps, it's because Ban is one of the many comrades who taught Cecelia how to fight. Or maybe, it's because hes the honest friend towards her. Whatever the case it might seem to be, Bakugou finds himself liking the company from the immortal himself. At first, he got jealous when he sees how close Cecelia and Ban are, but he did feel a sense of relief when a young beautiful fairy named Elaine greeted everyone before hugging Ban lovingly. From what he has been told before, Elaine is King's sister who is very likely Ban's first love years ago. Ever since Cecelia has altered reality to where Elaine is given a second chance, she would visit Ban and King almost every day. After getting back to the tavern from a rather difficult mission to eradicate certain demons, even Bakugou is rather pumped up. Although he has never fought against demons before, he is a quick learner to fight in battle. He got snapped back into reality when Ban said to Meliodas: "Hey Captain. Try not to make in any food without proper training." Meliodas chuckled and said: "Aww come on Ban. When was the last time I made something awful?" Bakugou as new to the conversation of which he decides to listen into it when Ban said this: "How about the one time when I have you and Cecelia in a baking challenge?"
The challenge of baking the best treats is set some time before the Sports Festival at Tokyo Japan. Meliodas is assigned to bake an apple pie and Cecelia can come up with a recipe that would fall under a dessert category or something similar but different on the dish. As Cecelia was washing her hands after pulling her long black hair a bit, she did notice a few things that Meliodas have done wrong: he cuts up the apple into tiny pieces rather than peeling, he didn't clean the apple pieces that were on the ground, he puts in too much salt in with the bowl of flour, he stirred in the bowl without adding in water, he made too much of the dough for a pie, and he baked the pie after adding in more apples that aren't peeled yet. While all of that is going on, Cecelia instead created a cold treat for everyone. She said these to herself while adding one ingredient at a time: "Let's see...one and a half cups of whipping cream and two cups of half-and-half...one tablespoon of vanilla extract and one cup of lightly brown sugar with the melted butterscotch chips..." Using her magic to freeze up the ice cream, it was at the same time Meliodas has finished backing his apple pie. It surprisingly looked great on the outside, but no one knows how it'll taste from the inside. Elizabeth Liones who is one of the three princesses smiled as she sees the two kinds of treats: "Oh! I see! You wanted to add a scoop of that ice cream on top of the pie?" Cecelia nodded her head and said this: "Indeed. The only left to do is to have separate taste tests to make sure if they could go together." So far, each of them refused to take a bite of his pie. This is when Escanor offered to eat that one piece and he ends up vomiting all over the place in the tavern called the Boar's Hat.
Ban laughed out loud and said this to the captain: "We're lucky that Cecelia's magic is strong at the point where it's all spic and span with the snap of her fingers." Meliodas grinned as Bakugou shakes his head to avoid laughing himself. While Cecelia is fixing Elaine's hair to put on this flower crown, Bakugou heads outside for the moment. He could see the sunset on the horizon and it seems to be more beautiful than back at Tokyo. At the moment, he seemed to have a lot in his mind as the first thought that came up is how he could show Midoriya that he has changed. He's not sure what to do and that frustrates him. He got snapped back into reality when Ban spoke up with a mug of beer in his hand: "Hey Bakugou! What are you doing here by yourself? Unless you were getting some fresh air." Bakugou looked a bit annoyed but didn't mind Ban's company as he could see how much Cecelia seems to trust him. He said to the immortal with the beer in his hand: "Tch! Yeah, yeah. Guess I'm just not like you guys, you know? I mean...being something of a supernatural or magical is just something that I'm not used to." Ban finished his beer and seemed to be slightly drunk yet sober enough to talk as he said: "Hmm...you do look a bit troubled. Is there something on your mind?" Bakugou turned to him and growled a bit: "Tch! Why should I tell you anything?! I don't even know you well like Miya does!" Ban said as he leaned his back against the wall a bit: "It's alright. You don't have to tell me. Let me take a wild guess. You are concerned of how you could make amends with the people you are close to. Isn't that right?" The young man with the Explosion Quirk looked at the Fox of Greed in shock. He frowned a bit and grunted in annoyance: What are you, some kind of spy or something?" Ban shook his head and responded: "Of course not. Only King and Elaine can do something like that. But as of how I could figure out how you're feeling, it was a similar guilt that I felt so long while back." Bakugou decides to hear out this story as Ban continued on: "I don't think that my situation is exactly the same thing, considering that I tried to kill the Captain to bring Elaine back to life. However, it's still my fault for trying to kill my own friend. He always has this stupid smile on his face and said that e forgave me, which makes me feel just the worst. But after Cecelia had altered reality to where Elaine and even Zhivago and his biological son back to give them a second chance to live, I realized that I shouldn't beat myself up and just better myself. So! My advice to you is this. Before you start to show that you've changed for the better by your actions, you got to be sure to forgive yourself."
Bakugou felt as if Ban the Fox's Sin of Greed had just hit the bullseye as it's something that he didn't think about before. Ever since the breakup, he has been feeling like he's no better than a villain to hurt Midoriya like before. Even as he is doing better in his life so far, he would still feel like he's unworthy. That's when he realized that he needs to forgive himself before he can show to everyone that he has changed. He turned to Ban and said while folding in his arms: "You know...you're pretty much someone that I can trust. I don't know how, but it's probably because I can see that you're not so much like a liar." Ban chuckled and said while finishing up a bit of his beer: "I could say the same for you. Why don't we get back inside? It's going to get cold pretty soon at night." Bakugou nodded with agreement as he walks inside the tavern of the Boar's Hat. His first day of work had just gotten interesting.
