Izuku felt himself bouncing up and down, groaning as he was pulled out of his deep sleep. "Wakey wakey, sleepy head!" a voice called out to him as he was continually bounced around. "Come on, little kiddie. Breakfast is ready, you're gonna love it~"
Opening his eyes, he was met with the sight of a recently made familiar face. "T-toga?! What are you doing in here?!" he exclaimed jumping up to his feet and almost falling straight back down again, wondering how the girl had managed to get into his room.
As his eyes darted around, he quickly began to realise he wasn't in his room. Panic began to set in, as he was in an unfamiliar place, with Toga sitting on the bed he had been laying on just a moment beforehand.
"Silly little kiddie~ Are you forgetting where you are?" Toga asked, giggling childishly at him.
As his mind started to slow down from overdrive at being woken up the way he had in an unfamiliar environment, his memory of the previous day's events came back to him. He had met a few new people, villains, and had been taken to see their boss, All for One.
The scarred, featureless man had a proposition for Izuku, to give up on his dreams of becoming a hero, receive a quirk that would be gifted to him by All for One and join his ranks as one of his subordinates. The fact that Izuku was even considering it in the first place made him horrified. He had built up an image in his mind over many years of what a hero was, and what a villain was.
These guys had attacked him, kidnapped him and were now trying to get him to join them for their troubles. They were definitely 'villains', at least in terms of how he's always viewed villains, but All for One appears to be convinced that he can save Izuku from the miserable life of ridicule and rejection that he had faced his whole life up until that point.
The problem that Izuku faced was how his mother, Inko, would react to him becoming one of these 'villains' instead of the hero he had always dreamed of being. Would she accept his choice, or would she be so heartbroken and infuriated that she'd never want to see him again?
Izuku would be lying if he said he wasn't worried about how that would go down if she found out. Inko was all he had left, and he was all she had left in return. The last thing he wanted to do was split them up.
He still had questions he wanted to ask All for One, but they would probably have to be left for another time as he appeared to be pretty busy. For now, Izuku was going to focus on getting to know everyone else that he had met the previous day. Walking toward the door, he realised that he was still wearing his grimy, disgusting school clothes from the day before.
Spotting the change of clothes, a set of oversized pyjamas at the foot of the bed, he quickly switched them over, opting to go for a shower and clean himself off after breakfast. The trousers were at least two sizes too big for him and, being the scrawny kid that he was, struggled to keep them up around his waist.
Not wanting the embarrassment of the trousers dropping, he began to look around the room for something that could hold it up, coming across a small peg. Bunching the back up until it was tight enough, he used the peg to clamp it all together, praying that it would hold and wouldn't be too noticeable.
Finally feeling he was at least somewhat presentable, Izuku left the room and headed down the hall to the main area of the bar/resturant/inn, he still wasn't really sure. The smell of eggs and toast hit him as he opened the door, causing his stomach to grumble loudly, realisation that he hadn't eaten since yesterday morning sinking in.
It was loud enough to cause Dabi and Toga to stop eating at the table and turn their attention to him. Midoriya felt his face flare up, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly. Toga gave a little snicker, which quickly grew into a cackle, small pieces of food flying all over the place. Dabi just gave a small shrug and went back to eating.
A moment later, Kurogiri emerged from a room behind the counter wearing an apron and carrying a pan. "Midoriya, good morning. Come and take a seat. Breakfast will be ready in just a moment for you." he said, disappearing once again through another door at the other side of the counter.
Izuku wandered over to one of the many empty booths and took a seat. He said that he'd try to get to know everyone today, but he had no idea how to go about doing that. A moment later, Kurogiri came over with two plates of eggs and toast, placing once of the plates down in front of Izuku then sat down across from him. "How are you, did you sleep well?" Kurogiri asked him.
"Yeah, the bed was really comfortable." Izuku replied, picking up a slice of toast and shoving it into his mouth. Usually, he would have considerably better table manners than this, but he felt like he hadn't eaten for weeks, and his stomach had shrivelled up to the size of a plum.
"Woah there, slow down or you'll just make yourself sick." Kurogiri scolded, reaching forward to grab Izuku's wrist and pull it away from his mouth, startling the poor boy who started choking and spluttering on a mouthful of toast.
Acting quickly, Kurogiri transported his arm over to where a small bucket lay behind the counter, teleporting it over to himself and placing it under Izuku just in time for him to throw up into it. "See?" Kurogiri said, patting and rubbing his back. Izuku hadn't eaten much, so it was mostly bile, but he stood there until he was finished and removed the bucket from underneath him.
Izuku sat up straight, breathing heavily, face pale and hair matted to his face by sweat. "I'd advise you to start eating again, but slowly this time." Kurogiri told him before leaving to clean out the bucket.
Izuku only nodded weakly, unable to do much else besides that. He suddenly felt incredibly unwell, also losing his appetite in the process. Picking up another slice of toast, he chose to do the opposite this time and nibble at it, taking tiny bites and chewing slowly so as not to have the same situation happen to him again.
A moment later, Kurogiri returned, delighted that the boy had a bit more colour to his face and was eating once again, having feared he would have lost his appetite due to the sickness. Izuku seemed to know the reason that he threw up was because he ate too fast, as he was now opting to eat slower and take smaller bites of the toast.
He sat back down in his seat, where his own breakfast sat. He himself had lost his appetite, and would most likely just get something to eat later on, so he offered up his breakfast for someone else, with it getting quickly snatched up by Toga before he could even finish his sentence.
After about fifteen minutes of just casual conversation, Izuku felt he couldn't eat anymore, and opted to return to his room for the time being. "Before you go, I need to take your measurements." Kurogiri told him. "The boss said you would be staying here for a short while, so I had to get you clothes that were going to fit you, unlike your current attire."
Izuku knew he was referring to the bunched up and pegged pyjama trousers and oversized sweat shirt that had been gifted to him. Kurogiri followed Izuku to his room holding a measuring tape, quickly took his measurements and then left him to his own devices.
Izuku wondered what he was going to do for the rest of the day, having no idea if there was even anything to do around there. He ended up lost within his own mind for a while, thinking back to the last couple of days that he'd had.
After heading into school two days before (he'd been reliably informed by Kurogiri that it had only been a day since they'd kidnapped him when he asked the previous night); getting himself knocked unconscious by his childhood friend and current bully, Kacchan; left school early to go home only to be attacked by a sludge villain; saved by All Might, his childhood hero and role model only to have his dream of being a hero ripped to shreds by that very man as well; attacked and kidnapped by Dabi and Toga to meet with their boss All for One, All Might's greatest foe and the most dangerous person on the planet and finally asked by said All for One to join his ranks in what he called the 'League'.
A lot had happened over a crazy couple of days, and he still had a lot to process and think over, because All for One would be expecting an answer from him soon in regards to his proposition for Izuku to join the League.
He'd pondered over it, and if he was being honest, he was leaning toward accepting the offer. It wasn't as if his dreams of becoming a hero were going to come true anymore, but the temptation taking up a position as one of All for One's subordinates was becoming overwhelming.
He still had his mother to think about as well. Inko had supported him in his dream to become a hero throughout his life, even working multiple part time jobs in order to pay the fees necessary to go to the school that he was currently attending, the one with a direct link to the Hero Course at UA.
It was a dilemma that Izuku never thought he'd ever have to face, because he'd worked all his life to get into UA and to become a hero. The fact that Inko had almost run herself into the ground in order to provide for him and let him take this path was causing him to doubt himself now.
On the one hand, he had a direct link to becoming a hero at UA, he just had to pass the entrance exams at the beginning of the next year and he was in, but on the other, he could be given a quirk and be able to provide for his mother as she had done for him all these years, even if the means in which he'd be repaying her wouldn't be the same.
Images of him dressing up as a bandit from a western movie popped into his head, with a black eye mask and a cowboy's hat, robbing people at gunpoint in order to provide for himself and his family. He wasn't sure where that had come from, he hadn't really seen many western movies that weren't comic book movies. His imagination began to run wild, with scenes from different movies replaying in his head, but the villain had his face.
All the 'villains' within these movies had their own different motivations for doing bad things. Some done it because of greed, others to care and provide for a sick loved one and some just done it because it was fun to them.
There was a knock on his bedroom door, pulling him out of his thoughts. "C-come in!" he called out.
The door creaked open, and in came Toga. "Come on little kiddie. I'm gonna take you out to have some fun~"
