Hello again, everyone! I'm back once again, and yes, I'm back with Scene 4 of Act 1 of this brand-new Broadway musical script story of mine! Now, this devastating COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic is still going on in the world right now, but that won't stop me from posting this musical one scene at a time, as it will give everyone a musical theater experience that we really all need right now! Now, in this scene, we will scene if Lincoln will do anything to help Benny Stein out with finding a new friend, as Lincoln is the type of person that would do that for someone. So, without anymore further delays getting in the way, let's all sit back, relax, turn off all of our electronic devices, and begin Scene 4 of Act 1 of this brand-new Broadway musical script story of mine!
Lincoln: Man Clyde, I feel bad for that kid. (looks upset)
Clyde (places baseball back onto tablecloth): Yeah, me too...(shakes his head)
Lincoln: It's...j-just not right, Clyde! He was forced to move down here and of course he'll have no friends for a while until he takes time to find someone! But still...that doesn't make his situation anymore pleasant.
Clyde (nods): You're right about that, Lincoln. (sighs) I wish there was something that we can do to help him...(looks down)
Lincoln: Yeah...(looks down) me too...(shakes head) Wait...(looks up and his face lights up) He says he has interests like acting, comedy, and ventriloquism, right?!
Clyde: Yeah, but what does that have to do with...
Lincoln (interrupting Clyde): Well, guess what, Clyde?! We DO know someone with those same interests!
Clyde: Wait...(confused) we...do?
Lincoln (nods): Yeah, we do! Luan!
Clyde: Luan? The sister of yours who pranks everyone on April Fool's Day and on a daily basis? The sister of yours who cracks puns all the time? The sister of yours who has that ventriloquist dummy named Mr. Coconuts?
Lincoln: Yeah, THAT Luan! They would be PERFECT for each other as friends!
Clyde (faces lights up): Lincoln, y-you're right! They ARE perfect for each other!
Lincoln: Well, what are we waiting for!? (ushers for Clyde to follow him) Let's go help this new kid in town make a friend! (walks towards Benny)
Clyde: Right behind you, Lincoln! (follows Lincoln and approaches Benny, too)
Benny (sighs and looks down): Why did I have to move down here?
Lincoln: Uh...(tugs on shirt collar) Hello there!
Benny (looks up): Huh? (turns around sees Lincoln and Clyde standing behind him) Oh...uh...hi.
Clyde: Are you alright?
Benny (shakes head): No, I'm not. (sighs) I just moved down here from New York City and as the new kid in town, I have no friends. (looks down) Yeah...its not the best time for me right now. (looks up) Anyways, I'm surprised you even noticed me!
Lincoln (walks over and stands next to Benny on the left): Yeah, my friend Clyde and I saw you from our picnic area over there...(points to center area of the stage)
Clyde (walks over and stands next to Benny on the left, too): And you do seem very lonely...
Benny (nods): Yes, like I said, that is very true. You're Clyde, right?
Clyde (nods): Yes, that's me! (smiles) I'm Clyde McBride...(points to Lincoln) And this is my best friend, Lincoln Loud!
Lincoln (smiles and nods): Yep, that's me!
Benny (gets up): Well, it is very nice to meet you both! (holds out a hand)
Lincoln (shakes Benny's hand): And its very nice to meet you, too! Say, what is your name anyways?
Clyde (shakes Benny's hand): Yeah, we never asked so...what is it?
Benny (chuckles): Oh, I'm sorry, I forgot! My name is Benny Stein! (smiles)
Lincoln: So...uh, Benny...my friend and I overheard your problem about...
Clyde: Having trouble making friends, right?
Benny (nods): Yes, I'm having trouble making friends. (shakes head) Oh, why on Earth did I have to move here? (looks down)
Lincoln: Well...(puts hands on his hips) I got good news for you, Benny! (smiles)
Benny (looks up): You...you do? W-what is it?
Clyde: Well, you don't have to worry about that anymore! (smiles)
Benny: I-I don't? (looks confused) But...what do you mean by that?
Lincoln: Well, I happen to have a sister named Luan Loud!
Benny: But...what does that have to do with my problem?
Lincoln: Well, for one...(holds up an index finger) She is a HUGE fan of not only comedy but she also has a ventriloquist dummy, too! (holds up 2 index fingers)
Benny (blinks): Wait...for real?!
Clyde (folds arms and nods): Yep! (smiles)
Benny: W-WOW! T-This is a miracle! H-How old is she?!
Lincoln: She is fourteen years old, and...
Benny: Fourteen years old?! (jumps up) YES! I'm also fourteen, too!
Lincoln (nods and smiles): G-Great! And now, you both also have your ages in common! (nods)
Benny: Well, where can I meet here?! (holds up Mrs. Appleblossom) I got to meet her as soon as possible! (looks at Mrs. Appleblossom) Right, Mrs. Appleblossom? (uses her voice while moving his puppet's mouth) Oh yes, my friend Benny must meet this girl! (stops using puppet and uses normal voice) So, where is she?! (smiles)
Lincoln: Well, she's at a gig today!
Benny (confused): A...gig? (scratches the top of his head) What do you mean by that?
Lincoln: Oh, I-I forgot to mention this, but she has her own business called "Funny Business Inc"!
Benny (confused): "Funny Business Inc"? What's that?
Lincoln: Oh, its where Luan performs for children's birthday parties to earn money! She's VERY entertaining during her gigs, and she's VERY good at it!
Benny (nods): Hmmm...well, that DOES sound like a very entertaining job to have!
Lincoln: Oh, she has a PASSION for it! (nods and smiles) Well, Clyde and I have already set up our picnic, so would you like to stay with us both while we eat before we head over to introduce you to Luan?
Benny: Well, I might as well...(shrugs) I mean, I already had lunch today, so I'll just stay with you both, no problem!
Clyde: Great! Well, come and join us! (walks over to picnic area)
Benny: You don't have to tell me twice! (follows Clyde over to picnic area)
Lincoln: I promise you Benny, you will not regret meeting Luan once you so much as lay eyes on her! (walks back over to picnic area with Clyde and Benny)
(As everyone walks over to the picnic area in the center area of the stage, some transitional music begins to play in the background. As it does, a new set transition begins to take place. As it does, the stage lights shinning over the back, center, and front area of the stage dim. As they do, a wall panel painted to resemble a backyard setting along with a blue sky on the upper area comes down in the center area of the stage, concealing the main park, picnic, and playground setting behind it. As it does, a wooden picnic table with wrapped presents and a pirate ship-shaped cake slides into view on the left side towards the front. As it does, a large pirate ship-themed 2-foot-tall wooden platform stage slides into view from the right and positions itself in the center of the new setting, just in front of the backyard wall panel. This dark brown wooden stage has a pirate theme to it, including a back wall panel at the back painted dark brown and white, a large metal cannon and anchor on the left, a wooden crate and treasure chest on the right, and some black balloons with white skulls and crossbones tied to the stage over on the left and right side. The wooden stage also has a small stairway on the left, and a black pirate flag with a white skull and crossbones over on the left. As the stage sides into its position, about 11 child actors playing birthday party attendees enter stage right, and stand next to the picnic table on the right to watch the entertainment occur on the wooden stage in front of them. As they all get into position, all of the stage lights shinning over the center and front area of the stage come back on, revealing the new setting. As they do, the transitional music stops playing in the background. As it does, Luan is seen up on the stage on a unicycle and wearing a pirate outfit along with her signature orange clown wig and red clown nose, juggling some black balls painted to resemble cannonballs, all as the next scene begins to take place...)
Luan (in a pirate's voice): AHOY MATEYS!
All Birthday Party Children: YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!
Luan (in a pirate's voice): Welcome to this here party! I be Captain Luan Loud and I'm here on behalf of the birthday boy, who happens to be turning 10 today! The name of this birthday boy is Dylan I here, is it not? (stops juggling)
(At that point, a child actor in the crowd of 11 children, who playing the role of Dylan, raised his hand so that Luan could see him...)
Dylan (raises hand): Yes! (jumps) That's me! (steps forward) I'm Dylan, Captain Luan!
Luan (in a pirate's voice): Well, as of now, I hereby hand over my title of Pirate Captain to you, Dylan! Why? Because it's your birthday today, and you are the honorary captain!
Dylan: YES! (jumps up happily)
Luan (in a pirate's voice): So, young lad, I have a special song I want to sing JUST FOR YOU! (looks over at the orchestra pit, breaking the 4th wall) HIT IT, YA LANDLUBBERS!
(At that point, some nautical pirate music begins to play in the background. As it does, Luan begins to sing another musical number of the show, using her regular voice this time around...)
Luan (singing): Ahoy mateys!
I'm Luan Loud,
And today I'm here,
For a very special day!
Today's special day,
Is not about me...
But its about a young lad,
Named Dylaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan! (continues to juggle again)
Today his is now 10,
And is now in double digit ages for life,
And today is a day,
All about fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun!

They are as wrong,
As the officials and fort soldiers who try,
And arrest uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuus!
Pirates like me,
Just love having fun,
As much as the next lad,
And even on biiiiiiiiiiiirthdays! (stops juggling)
So...Happy Birthday, Captain Dylan!
Happy Birthday, Captain Dylan!
Happy Birthday, Captain Dylan!
Happy Birthday, good old, Captain Dylan!
Yeah!
Happy Birthday, Captain Dylaaaaaaaaaan...
Happy Birthday, Dylan lad!
Today, you hit a huge milestone,
As you enter the double digit ages,
And you will remain a double digit age,
For possibly the rest,
Of your liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiife!
So Dylan,
This a day to enjoy!
Dylan, this is your biggest day,
In your life!
Dylan...this is your 10th birthdaaaaaaaaay...(begins to ride unicycle around the platform in a large circle)
So...Happy Birthday, Captain Dylan!
Happy Birthday, Captain Dylan!
Happy Birthday, Captain Dylan!
Happy Birthday, good old, Captain Dylan!
Yeah!
Happy Birthday, Captain Dylaaaaaaaaaan...
Happy Birthday, Dylan lad!
So, enjoy this happy moment, Dylan!
It is a big one in your life!
Its good to enjoy things,
While they last,
Or you will soon regret it...
So...Happy Birthday, Captain Dylan!
Happy Birthday, Captain Dylan!
Happy Birthday, Captain Dylan!
Happy Birthday, good old, Captain Dylan!
Yeah!
Happy Birthday, Captain Dylaaaaaaaaaan... (stops riding around platform on unicycle, stopping in the front-center area of said platform)
Happy Birthday, Dylan lad!
YO HO! YEAH!
(The nautical pirate music stops playing in the background, ending the musical number. As it does, the entire audience, the birthday party children, and Dylan all cheer and clap very loudly. After about 30 seconds, the loud cheering and clapping from the entire audience, the birthday party children, and Dylan die down. As it does, the very next scene of the musical begins to take place...)
And that was the conclusion to Scene 4 of Act 1 of this brand-new Broadway musical script story of mine! It seems that Lincoln did indeed approach a saddened Benny and talked with him about his problem of him being the new kid in town and not having any friends to hang out or socialize with. And after that, Lincoln not only recommended Luan to him since they have similar interests, but we also all got to see Luan perform at a children's pirate-themed birthday party, complete with a special costume and everything! Oh, and Luan's hilarious and pirate-like musical number was based off of the real-life song, "Poor Pirates" from the popular Broadway musical, "SpongeBob SquarePants: The Musical"! Well, its time for us all to move on to Scene 5 of Act 1 of this brand-new Broadway musical script story of mine!
