Back to Normal
The man introduced himself as Percy Jackson, he claimed that their future selves knew him, 'We first met, when I was fourteen or so, I came to your house with Thalia, Grover and a few hunters, when Annabeth was kidnapped by Luke along with Artemis-' 'She what?!' Helen yelped. 'I thought Luke was supposed to be the good guy.' Annabeth sighed and bit her lip, 'Luke was complicated. But he died a hero.' Luke seemed to be a touchy subject for Annabeth. 'Can we play daddy?' Asked Lily innocently. Percy smiled and ruffled her hair, 'You and Jay go ahead, honey.'
After they left to resume their play, Annabeth addressed Percy looking rather concerned, 'You know, she's inherited some of your powers, last time she went swimming, the teacher claimed that she managed to stay underwater for more than five minutes, and now this business with the water balloon-' 'She'll be fine.' Percy promised, even though he looked a little uneasy himself. Annabeth didn't look convinced, 'You managed to accidentally blow up Mount St. Helens without meaning to. What if-?' 'We'll train her, besides I don't think her powers are that strong, as she isn't directly from Poseidon.' Annabeth nodded grimly and turned to the others, 'Do you know when you'll return to your time?' With all the surprises, Frederick had forgotten that they weren't meant to be in this timeline. Suddenly, they found themselves looking at Athena once again, 'Mom?' Annabeth asked. Athena smiled, 'You've done well, child. Percy Jackson, you've proved me wrong once again, you have done well too.' Percy grinned, 'So you keep saying.' Athena turned to Frederick, 'Annabeth found her own way. You need not worry about her.' Annabeth did something surprising, she hugged her father and said, 'We're on good terms now. I'll always love you dad.'
They found themselves back in their living room. 'Well, that was eventful.' Helen mumbled. Crying issued from one of the rooms. Helen sighed, though she looked rather relieved, and went to console the twins who had woken up. Frederick stared at the clock, the time hadn't passed after they had left. He thought about all the events that had happened. Maybe his daughter hadn't found home with him. Maybe her family changed. But all that mattered was that she was happy and safe. He knew he had left her in good hands.
'I'll always love you dad'
