"Go, Mankey!" she shouted as her Mankey popped out of its pokeball. She smirked at me. "Your turn to choose."

"I'm waiting." she told me, tapping her foot on the ground impatiently while I decided on who to choose. I nodded.

"I know who to choose," I said, grabbing a pokeball. "Pidgey, take to the skies!" I called, throwing out the little bird. It landed on the ground and flapped its wings to get into the air. "Use Gust!" I yelled. Pidgey flapped its wings, sending gusts of wind at the Mankey.

"Dodge and use Leer!" Alicia shouted. Makey lunged to the side and then lunged towards Pidgey. Mankey glared at him, lowering his Defense. "Now, use Karate Chop!" she yelled.

"Dodge it and use Gust!" I yelled. Mankey went to chop the Pidgey, but the little bird flew off to the side. It flapped its wings, sending gusts of wind at the Mankey, hitting it with the super effective attack, sending it flying back a few feet. "Now, use Gust again!" The little bird blew more gusts of wind at the Mankey, hitting him with the super effective attack again, knocking the little fighter out. "I win!" I yelled. Alicia looked at me questioningly.

"You really think Mankey is my only Pokémon?" she asked. I stopped jumping around and looked at her. "Go, Geodude!" she called, throwing out another pokeball. Out came a little rock with a face and two buff arms. "Use Rock Throw!" She yelled, and Geodude picked up a rock from the ground. He lobbed it hard at Pidgey, hitting him with a super effective attack. "One more time!" she called, and Geodude picked up another rock.

"Pidgey, use Gust!" I yelled, and the Pidgey blew gusts of wind at the Geodude while the Geodude threw the rock it was holding. The Geodude threw it hard enough that the wind didn't even affect it, and Pidgey was hit with the super effective attack again, knocking it out. "No! Pidgey, return!" I yelled. "Go, Nidoran!" the little blue Nidoran appeared out of his pokeball. "Use Focus Energy!" I yelled, and Nidoran closed his eyes, focusing his energy.

"Geodude, use Defense Curl!" yelled Alicia. Geodude curled up, raising its defense. "Now, use Rock Throw!" she yelled.

"Nidoran, dodge and use Double Kick!" I yelled. Nidoran opened his eyes and jumped to the side, dodging the rock that the Geodude threw. Nidoran then lunged forward and kicked the Geodude twice in the face, critical hitting both attacks, knocking the Geodude out in one hit.

"No!" cried Alicia, returning the Geodude. "That's it, you forced me to play my hand." she told me with a determined glint in her eye. "Go, Hitmonchan!" she yelled, throwing out a pokeball. Out came a Hitmonchan in a Muhammad Ali fighting stance. "Use Fire Punch!" she yelled. Hitmonchan's fist became encased in fire as he swung it at Nidoran. It hit Nidoran square in the face. "Now, use Thunder Punch followed by Ice Punch!" she yelled.

"Dodge it!" I cried desperately as Nidoran was punched twice, once when Hitmonchan's fist was encased in lightning, and then another when Hitmonchan's face was encased in ice. Nidoran came flying back and almost slammed into me, knocked out. "Return." I said, my voice cracking. I realized that I was in a desperate situation, and there was a very low chance I could win, especially since Hitmonchan didn't learn the "three punches" until level 26, and my highest level was Pidgey, who was knocked out. Suddenly, I had an idea. "Go, Butterfree!" I yelled. Yes, I realize that Butterfree is my lowest level Pokémon, but it has a Psychic type attack in the form of Confusion, which is super effective. However, I still need to be careful, as all three of its punches are super effective. Alicia smirked at me.

"Use Sunny Day!" she cried, and her Hitmonchan spat a ball of fire into the sky. "Now, use Fire Punch!" she yelled. Hitmonchan encased his fist in fire again, but this time the fires were bigger and hotter than before because of Sunny Day.

"Use String Shot!" I yelled. Butterfree shot out a line of string. Hitmonchan almost dodged, but got wrapped up in the string anyways, causing it to crash into the ground. "Now, use Confusion!" I yelled. Butterfree became encased in red light, and its eyes started glowing red. It hit the Hitmonchan with the super effective attack. However, Hitmonchan just stood up and brushed off the attack. "Use Confusion one more time!" I shouted.

"Hitmonchan, dodge and use the punching combo we talked about!" shouted Alicia. Hitmonchan nodded and dodged the Confusion. One of its fists became encased in fire, the other in ice. It started barraging Butterfree with punches, each one a different element then the one before, using Ice Punch, then Fire Punch, then Ice Punch again, then Thunder Punch, etc. Butterfree tried its hardest to hold on but got knocked out after a few minutes of the combo.

"Return Butterfree! Eevee, it's our turn!" I yelled, throwing out Eevee. It may seem stupid, but Alicia's Hitmonchan has no fighting moves, so I'm safe from super effective attacks. "Eevee, use Tackle!" I yelled. Eevee went to slam into Hitmonchan, but got hit head-on by a Fire Punch from Hitmonchan in the face, stunning him.

"Now, use the combo before Sunny Day disappears!" Alicia yelled. Hitmonchan started up his elemental combo again, but before he could get very far, I returned Eevee. "No fair!" she complained.

"We never set up any specific rules!" I countered. "Now Pikachu, come on out!" I called, throwing out Pikachu's pokeball. The little yellow mouse came out with electricity arching its red cheeks and a look of determination on its face from seeing the battle from her pokeball. "Use Thunder Wave!" I shouted. Pikachu shot a wave of lightning at the Hitmonchan, paralyzing it. "Now, cloak yourself in your Thundershock and use Quick Attack!" Pikachu shot a Thundershock into the air and it crashed back down, cloaking Pikachu in a bunch of weak electricity. She then got down on all fours and darted at Hitmonchan quickly, slamming into his chest, knocking him out. I stared on in shock. My second weakest Pokémon had just taken out her strongest. Or so I thought. As I started cheering, Alicia smirked and started laughing. I stopped cheering. "What's so funny?" I asked her.

"Oh, just the fact that you are celebrating way to early." She said smirking. I stared at her with a puzzled expression on my face. "You took out my 4th strongest Pokémon." She told me. I stared at her in shock and she started laughing again. "Go, Hitmonlee!" She called, still laughing. A Hitmonlee appeared out of the pokeball bouncing around, ready for battle. "Hitmonlee, use Mega Kick!" she called. Hitmonlee lunged forward with blinding speed and kicked Pikachu square in the chest, knocking her out and sending her flying.

"Pikachu, return!" I called. "Go, Mankey! Use Karate Chop!" I cried desperately. Hitmonlee easily dodged.

"Hitmonlee, use Mind Reader, then use Hi Jump Kick!" called Alicia. Hitmonlee glared at Mankey with its eyes glowing blue. Its eyes returned to normal and it started running forward. It jumped forward in a judo kick and kicked Mankey in the face, knocking him out in one hit.

"Go, Eevee. Use Tail Whip!" I cried, hopeful that my last Pokémon would be able to miraculously pull out a win. Eevee whipped its tail back in forth, lowering Hitmonlee's defense. Alicia just smirked.

"Use Mind Reader followed up by a Hi Jump Kick!" she yelled, throwing her hand in the air. Hitmonlee's eyes started to glow blue again.

"No, you don't!" I cried. "Wait for it." Hitmonlee did a running jump into the air. "Now, use Sand Attack!" I yelled. Eevee whipped a bunch of sand into the air. Hitmonlee flew into the cloud of sand. When the sand settled, Hitmonlee had a slight limp, and Eevee was a few feet to the right, smiling triumphantly. Alicia just smirked.

"Now, use Mind Reader, but on Ethan this time!" she called. I stared at her in confusion. "Now, use Hi Jump Kick on Eevee one more time!"

"Dodge left!" I cried, but then I realized something. Hitmonlee knew I was going to call that. It's what the Mind Reader was for. Hitmonlee slammed into Eevee, knocking it out. "Eevee, return." I said sadly. I walked over to Alicia. "Why did you challenge me if you knew you were going to win?" I demanded, crossing my arms. She just shrugged. We both walked away to the PokeCenter to heal our teams.

-AN: So, Ethan got his ass kicked by Alicia's team. I was going to include Brock's gym as well, but this chapter ended up way longer than I was planning or expecting it to. Anyway, thanks to Sandford9687 for reviewing!
