Alexandra spends the morning after the date holed up in her office, going over and over her choice not to kiss Olivia on the lips. It had taken every shred of her self-control, to the point of trembling once she had been standing in her office alone.
Her intention had been to indicate the lines of power in their dynamic; Alex enjoyed the push and pull, often moreso than the endgame. She'd wanted to make it very clear that the ball was in Liv's court. The problem was, ever since she had laid eyes on the brunette in the hallway, nothing felt the way Alex was used to.
Control was Alexandra's middle name: she didn't lose her temper, she thrived in pressure, she was not easily rattled. Yet Olivia had set things spinning, and Alex hadn't figured out how to make it stop - or if that was what she wanted. She had arrived home the night before, crawled into bed and had fingered herself to a jaw-clenching orgasm, all from the brush of Liv's cheek on her lips.
The morning in her office seemed long, the last of the Summer heat cloying. She couldn't focus for more than minutes at a time before her mind would wander off, wondering what Olivia was doing, how she was feeling about the date.
There was a knock at the door, and Alexandra sighed heavily, pushing her paperwork aside. "Coming!" she called.
The door swung open, and Olivia stood on the other side. Their eyes met immediately, and Alex's skin flushed helplessly with goosebumps.
"Good morning, Detective," Alex smiled, her heart rising into her throat. "What can I do for you?"
The brunette hooked her thumbs in the loops of her pants and took a step forward. Without saying a word, she pressed forward and kissed Alexandra's mouth.
No office, no courthouse, there was nothing except their bodies, their mouths pressed to each other. Alex felt dizzy under the heat and force of it, Olivia's tongue driving every semblance of poise from her in the blink of an eye. She felt feminine and wild, a desperate need to make the brunette unravel as easily as she did her.
Liv moved into the room, shutting the door behind her with one arm as she pulled Alex to her with the other. Alexandra let out a soft groan that travelled directly to Liv's clit.
They were panting when the kiss broke.
Liv, too, had brought herself to orgasm in a cold sweat after arriving home the previous night, thinking of the serious, steady blonde coming apart under her touch.
"I'm not normally this - " Olivia took a breath and waved her hand apologetically. "I wanted to tell you I had a great time last night, Counselor."
Cabot smiled brightly. "I concur. I enjoyed myself very much."
"I would love to take you to dinner."
"I think that's a good idea," she murmured, her eyes going back to Olivia's mouth.
Liv ceded to the look, yanking the blonde back into her embrace. She thrust both her hands into the ADA's hair and kissed her hard, teeth clicking as they devoured one another. Every gasp got Olivia wetter and wetter, until she was urging Alex against the edge of the desk, a moment away from pushing her skirt up.
Another knock came on the door. The two women stumbled apart so quickly that Liv had to steady Alex to keep her from falling. They smoothed down their clothing and dabbed at their kiss-bruised lips.
"Alex? It's Jack!"
"Come in!" Cabot answered, returning to her seat behind her desk.
"Detective Benson," Jack McCoy said kindly, "good morning."
"Morning," Liv nodded. She turned her head to Alexandra, "I'll expect your call," she said lightly, and then let herself out.
