To put it simply Natsu was bored. Seconds turned to minutes which turned to an hour going on two and Lucy was still out cold. After making a mess of her kitchen he meandered back up the stairs towards her bedroom to watch her sleep. She tossed and turned, her eyebrows scrunching but wouldn't respond to his prodding and poking so he had to settle for waiting. Natsu did the second-best thing he could think of which was to snoop; He wasn't content with the small glimpses of Lucy's home that he'd been shown through the flames. For the first time since stepping into her world, he took a close look around. Lucy's bedroom was decorated in shades of coffee and gold with accents of pink that Natsu thought a bit too sophisticated for him but somehow fit Lucy perfectly.
Her queen bed was centered in the middle of the furthest wall, opposite from the door and right between two giant arched windows. The headboard was tufted gold silk in the shape of a scallop shell. She looked like Aphrodite in the middle of her tan, beige and white chunky knit blankets, her small pink throw pillows tossed haphazardly about her head. Natsu couldn't help but finger a lock of her hair as he slowly took everything in. Black coffee curtains with golden star inlays covered her windows and a beige and ivory shag rug covered most of the floor. It looked like it could be a fun place to lay her on her back and teach her how to moan his name. To the right of the room was where the door to her bathroom and giant walk-in closet was situated and to the left sat an antique matte gold metal and bamboo desk. A baby pink typewriter and journals sat on the top left corner of the desk, the char mark from him in the middle of it and a few cacti in grey and white patterned clay pots sat in the left corner. He also noticed a light pink velvet scalloped papasan chair in the corner with golden legs situated under a tall lamp with a cream shade and pompoms dangling from it.
Natsu couldn't help the thoughts of Lucy bent over the back of that chair, her face a matching shade of pink as she panted. He sighed deeply and tugged on the lock of her hair he was playing with and looked at the gold, beige and coffee-colored frames that housed her favorite pictures; Her mother and if he squinted, he could make out the celestial spirits that her mother had adored: Aquarius, Leo, Capricorn and a few more. He doubted that she knew that's exactly what they were: spirits.
"Mmm," Lucy's groan had him swinging his eyes to the blonde next to him. Exploring more of her surroundings could wait. He couldn't help but stare intently as she groggily opened her eyes. He smiled when their eyes connected and couldn't help the purr that started in his chest.
"I didn't think you were ever going to wake up," Natsu greeted. He watched almost every emotion flash over her face as she sat up in a panic. Her eyes darted from him to the top of her scorched desk, to the pile of ashes on her hard wood floor (just missing the shag rug), and then back to him.
"Natsu?" She breathed, "I…t-thought…" He didn't pay any mind to the color draining from her face, too preoccupied with the way she breathed his name. It made him want to cuddle up to her and who was he to stop himself? Lucy did belong to him after all.
"I've been waiting forever to meet you Luce," Natsu's purr growing louder as he climbed onto her bed and practically dragged her under him. Her bedding was tossed out of his way. "Just watching you wasn't enough anymore. I wanted more. I needed more."
"You've been watching me?" Lucy's voice shot up an octave, her body gently trembling as he wrapped his arms around her waist and buried his nose against her neck.
"Yeah," Natsu breathed, "Since you, well we, were little. I always thought you were beautiful when you smiled. Then your mother died, and you stopped smiling." He continued, a snarl replacing the purr. He felt lucy tense, her heartbeat spiking in fear. "Your eyes stopped smiling."
"G-get off of me," Lucy stuttered. Her panic was mounting, and she pushed at him, wanting space. He wasn't going to give it to her though, he'd been starved of her touch.
"I watched you try to keep your relationship with your father," Natsu continued, ignoring her struggling, "I hated that man, he was supposed to love you. Take care of you and let you chase your dreams and passions." He spat out angrily and squeezed the blonde tighter to him. "Instead, he made your life a living hell while you did everything ya could to keep yourself and his sorry ass a float."
"Stop," Lucy whispered.
"He decided your feelings and well-being weren't important. That they were secondary to his and I couldn't have that." The young demon couldn't help but reminisce about that. About the way he'd made him die of fright. His heart had stopped, and he couldn't hurt his lucy anymore.
"Please," Lucy begged. She had started to cry, and he didn't like that. "I d-don't…" she stumbled over her words and had to try again, "I don't understand…I d-don't want to understand." She openly started to sob now. Natsu just sighed and leaned up to lick the tears from her cheeks.
"It's no use wasting tears over that asshole, Luce." He grunted out lightly before changing the subject. "Doesn't matter anyway 'cause you're mine." Natsu liked the way that sounded. Liked the truth behind it.
"I have to be dreaming," his upset blonde sobbed out. "None of this makes sense, it has to be a dream!" Lucy's fingers found their way into his hair and tugged lightly.
"Nah," Natsu grunted, "definitely not dreaming Luce, you did summon me." He knew he wasn't being completely honest. Sure, she had done the initial grunt work, but he'd stepped in to make sure it was complete. He was going to bind them together if it drained everything he had. Lucy's hands immediately smacked him across the face before shoving at him harshly, his head being pushed away from her as she attempted to get away.
"Summoned you? SUMMONED YOU?" She started screeching, "This isn't FUCKING FUNNY. MY LIFE ISN'T A GAME. IT'S NOT A TOY. ITS NOT SOMETHING A SICK JERK LIKE YOU IS ENTITLED TOO." She continued to shove, wiggle and hit him and his patience was growing thin. "You're fucking sick! You've been stalking me for YEARS apparently and think talking about the impossible is going to allow you a….a…..a fucking RESPITE from any action against you?"
"I'm going to say this once and only once Luce, since you're in shock, but if ya continue to hit me, ya aren't going to like what happens."
"YOU WALTZ INTO MY ROOM WHILE IM SLEEPING AND EXPECT ME TO..TO…TO" She was stuttering hard, her anger making it hard to speak. "GET OFF OF ME AND GET THE FUCK OUT BEFORE I CALL THE POLICE." If Natsu wasn't already irritated with her he would have appreciated her cursing, something she rarely did. Lucy raised her hand again and he growled softly. When she swung, he caught her wrist, but she did something he wasn't expecting.
Lucy converted the momentum of her hand to her opposite leg and jerked it up, connecting with Natsu's unprotected side. She didn't have much room, but she threw as much of her weight into it as possible and felt her blood run cold when his body started giving off serious heat. Lucy didn't hesitate and hooked her attacking leg around Natsu's waist and twisted them, sliding from under him to over him and then landing on the floor hard, wrenching her arm out of his grasp. She wasn't going to sit around and see if that surprised him because it sure as fuck surprised her. She continued to roll, ignoring the sharp pain she felt when she'd slammed herself onto the floor; the shag was only going to protect her so much. Her ears were thundering when she managed to roll onto her knees and immediately pushed to her feet. She'd made it a few steps before Natsu slammed into her from behind, snagging her hands before turning her so that her back slammed into the floor. Lucy cried out and immediately stopped resisting. The position he had her in hurt, her wrists caught in one of his hands and held under her head; he'd used her own hands to protect her head. Her elbows lifted near her head and the strain of pulling her shoulders caused Lucy's back to arch off the floor. He squatted on her thighs, his calves and thighs supporting his weight and his butt keeping her in place. Lucy's adrenaline was wearing off and she felt herself starting to shake, her eyes taking in his slightly altered appearance. She realized belatedly that he was…purring again. His dark eyes had gone completely gold.
"Y-you…aren't human." Lucy panted, her entire upper body was starting to hurt; she was going to have bruises from all the places she hit. Her right knee was also starting to sting. When all he did was laugh at her statement, Lucy glared at him. Her anger was mounting quickly again.
"Of course, I'm not human," Natsu laughed, "And ya aren't fully human yourself. You should know better than to run when there's someone higher up on the food-chain in the same room with you." Lucy paled. "Besides Luce, dragons love nothing more than a battle for dominance."
"Dragons?"
"Now I'm starting to feel insulted, did ya not read about me at all?" Natsu drawled, chuckling as he bent down and nipped at Lucy's mouth lightly; the annoyed blonde attempted to jerk her head back but couldn't get far. The heat he was putting off was starting to make her sweat but surprisingly didn't hurt her skin. She continued to glare at him and Natsu groaned. "If you keep looking at me like that, I'm going to lose it."
"Get off," Lucy hissed her eyes narrowing even more. She was trying and failing to hide the heat creeping up her face in embarrassment. This position was starting to make her feel vulnerable; she was still feeling defensive even though the fight was leaving her. She was beginning to feel hot and her skin felt like it was itching.
"Keep challenging me and I'll have no choice but to make ya submit," Natsu purred while dipping his head and running his tongue over one of her nipples. She gasped involuntarily and closed her eyes panting harder in embarrassment.
"W-wait," Lucy breathed, her eyes still tightly shut.
"No." the pink haired male stated, his voice holding no room for argument. It rubbed her the wrong way. "Ya can't expect to show your fangs and not expect me to bite you back, that ain't fun." Lucy felt like she was on fire, all the places he was touching were starting to burn.
"I'm….hot," Was all she could get out. The drake hummed low in his throat, flicking his tongue over her nipple again and lucy couldn't help that her back arched even more to try to keep his tongue pressed against her. "It hurts," She whimpered.
"Stop fighting."
"P-please," The desperate blonde mewled. She wasn't sure what she was begging for, but she'd take anything to stop the itching under her skin. His heat was unbearable. Her muscles felt like jelly and she couldn't stop the slight tremors that made her stomach clench. "Please…"
"Good girl," Natsu chuckled, his fangs nipping at her through her thin sleeping tee. He repositioned himself, leaning more of his weight on her arms and flicking out a clawed finger, hooking it on the collar of her tee and ripping the fabric from her body. If the cool air didn't feel good against her fevered skin Lucy would have protested but instead, she sighed. "I promised to share my intentions with you, so I do plan to make you mine. Make you my Queen, but I'd rather you be willing rather than just wanting," Natsu hummed. He licked his fangs hungrily as he nuzzled his way from her neck to her chest, "I can be patient for a little, though I'm afraid I can't help myself now."
"What do y-!" Lucy let out a strangled moan when Natsu sunk his fangs into the outer curve of her right breast. The sharp sting quickly turned to lightening that zapped right to the juncture between her legs. She felt like her blood was boiling and then all too soon it was done. The drake extracted his fangs from her flesh and licked after a stray drop of blood. "w-what was that for?"
"I needed more blood," Natsu grumbled, "a witch and familiar grow more connected the more blood is shared." Lucy vaguely remembered the word familiar but the events from earlier were fuzzy. Not to mention she didn't necessarily feel comfortable with the dragon in her mists. She just wanted to crawl back in bed and pretend like she wasn't still losing her mind.
"You still aren't making any-" Lucy's hiss was cut off by the doorbell ringing.
oOo
Two days short of a week: Five days and a hundred twenty hours. That's how long it had been since Levy had any contact with Fairytail. The last thing she knew for sure was that the guild hall and her library had been invaded; a sneak attack that ended up going south once the tiny blue haired witch was put into harm's way:
A thunderous crash and a loud roar had split Levy's eardrums the moment she'd found herself cornered behind her desk. Her crystal wand was knocked away from her in the initial explosion, so she was doing her best with a regular number #2 pencil; sometimes being a script witch had its advantages. Regardless she'd been cornered behind the reception desk in the library and was struggling to hold her own; She was more a defensive fighter than offensive and going against more than one opponent was always a struggle. Her objective was to hit the panic button that Erza had installed once she took over leadership of the guild and once that was done, she was prepared to hold her own as best as she could.
Levy was silently cursing her situation when a rather large and pissed off reptile had ripped its way through the roof. The tiny librarian could only stare in bewilderment as it snapped up the grotesque creatures that had been advancing on her. In the blink of an eye, it was just her and a blood-spattered dragon, its silver scales glistening from the combination of blood and lamp light that it was bathed in.
"My roof," Levy lamented sadly as she stared at the giant hole in the ceiling before turning a glare to the smug looking overgrown lizard currently crushing her books, "Gajeel, are you serious?!" The Dragon flicked red eyes in her direction before huffing in an annoyed manner and grabbing Levy before leaving the way it entered.
And that's how she ended up here. She'd spent five days stuck with that overprotective brute before she managed to convince him that being holed up in an iron forge wasn't her definition of nice. The portal she'd attempted to summon to bring her back to Fairytail had malfunctioned and she'd found her butt connecting with the ground of an unknown ally way in the mortal realm. Levy grumbled as she dug around in her pockets looking for her magical tracker and pulling out her cellphone. She was halfway across the city from her own, relatively destroyed apartment and thought about Lucy, it had been six days since she'd spoken to her new blonde friend. So, she'd tried calling to only be sent to voicemail and ended up having to track Lucy down the old fashioned way: with the magical energy locator.
"Lucky for me Lucy has a pretty unique magical signature, though I'm not sure she knows that…" The soot covered witch muttered as she finally rung the doorbell to Lucy's townhouse. She had been thinking about what she was going to say but…
"WAIT," Levy vaguely heard Lucy scream before the door was wrenched open and she came face to face with E.N.D. Smoke curling out of his mouth and his eyes were flashing red.
"E.N.D…?" Levy squeaked, taking a step back.
