"Olivia, can I talk to you in my office?"
"Yes."
Olivia grabbed her backpack and followed Fitz into the hall. She had been avoiding him since the party.
"Are you okay? I noticed you're daydreaming a lot in my class."
"Yeah, I've been thinking about my career...and finding a job after graduation."
"I thought you were daydreaming about Jake. I know how close you two are."
"He's my best friend...like you and Angela."
"I've been wanting to be more than her best friend since high school."
"Why haven't you proposed?"
"She would say no."
"I thought you and Jake were a couple. He used to spend the night with you when you were in high school."
"No, we're friends. Nothing more than that."
"I guess you've figured out that I didn't call you to my office to talk about my class...I need your advice about something."
"What?"
"There's a lady that I was friends with in high school. We used to email each other. This was before text messaging was popular...way before your time...that makes me look really old. I haven't met her in person, but I'm thinking about it. I don't want Angela to be jealous. What should I do?"
"Why do you want to meet her?"
"I think she would be a great person to hangout with for coffee. Nothing more than that."
"I don't know..."
"Should I stop talking to her and propose to Angela?"
"I really don't know Professor Grant."
"I'm going to email her and let her know that we can meet tomorrow."
Fitz sent a quick email. Do you want to meet later today?
The phone chimed in Olivia's pocket. She didn't grab it. Instead, she smiled and excused herself.
"I should really get to my next class."
"Thanks for listening to me Olivia."
