Today was the day as Iain and Ruby could find out the gender of the baby. Ruby's belly has popped as Duffy smiled and said" looks like you are having a baby girl congratulations you guys" as she hugged Iain and Ruby.
Iain smiled and held his wife's hand as he said " I'm going to ask Josh if I can take paternity leave so that I can help you around the house. Ruby nodded as Iain walked into Josh's office and walked to his desk whilst Josh smiled and said" Iain what can I do for you."
Iain said" Josh can I have paternity leave please as i need to support Ruby round the house also the baby is a girl." Josh smiled and said" Yes you can take paternity leave just tell Ruby to take it easy."
Iain nodded and found his wife near the ambulance where he smiled and said" Come on then babe let's go home." Ruby nodded and held her husband's hand where she said" Iain can we go shopping tomorrow for baby supplies."
Iain smiled and said" Ok tomorrow we'll go into mother-care and get some baby supplies" as Ruby nodded and the couple spent the rest of the evening curled up on the sofa. Ruby laid her head on Iain's chest and fell asleep also the baby kicked.
The next morning Iain and Ruby went into mother-care where there were cots in different colours and sizes as Ruby smiled and said" Iain I loved this pink cot" as Iain nodded and picked up the cot. After getting all of the baby supplies Ruby smiled and said" Iain I need some maternity clothes as my ordinary clothes won't fit me any longer."
Iain nodded and the couple went into H&M where Ruby brought loads of maternity clothing as Iain smiled and said" Let's go home." When the couple arrived back at home Iain smiled and said" Going to do the nursery for the baby."
Hours later Iain said" come and see the nursery" as Ruby walked upstairs and gasped. Iain painted the walls pink, cot was in the corner, changing station, rocking chair, toys from Roxanne saying Nicole dosen't play with any longer and hanging on the cot was the baby mobile which Iain brought on their honeymoon as Ruby smiled and said" Iain this looks perfect." Iain smiled and said" I'm glad you liked it Rubes and hopefully our little bundle of joy will love the nursery as soon. The baby kicked as Ruby said" I think she likes it already" as Iain laughed.
