Hey and welcome to the fifth chapter. Sorry if I'm not as fast or scheduled as you want, but I'm trying. Updates may be slow but I'm not just going to let this sit and rot. So I don't own fnaf. That shouldn't be a surprise by now

Edit : Holy cow, I've been hanging on this for a while, procrastinating. Normally, I hate writing, but I've finally mustered the motivation to finish this and put it out, since it'd been left unfinished. Long story short, I read a fic for another fandom and got inspired. And I have a new ship to ship. Go, Dnf! Kudos for anyone that figures out that acronym ;)

There it was... that.. cat... the one that always seemed to know more than it let on.. or how it got all still whenever anyone talked about it.. it was creepy.. piercing green eyes were like emerald blades that cut deep...

I open my eyes to a beautiful morning and yawn, putting on my best smile

"You know you don't have to yawn, Fred. We're robots, we don't need to breathe"

I turn to my left and grin at my partner, the sight of him smirking back with an arched brow greets me

"I like to pretend for the children, Spring"

"There aren't any children here right now, Fredbear" is his friendly reminder

"Oh.."

He giggles, "You're so silly Fred"

"It's me!" I wave my hands and give my Showtime smile

He snorts, "Why do you say that? We know it's you without you having to announce it every five minutes, Fred."

I shrug "I dunno, it's my catchphrase or something. You should have one aswell, right? Even little Vince has his!"

Spring is a little quieter when he speaks, "Well, yeah.." and he seems sad about something..

I face him fully

"Spring... it's okay to not have one... we're all different..."

"It's not that." his head is lowered and his ears seem to have wilted and now cover his eyes, he strums a few chords from the wooden guitar resting in his arms

"Then what?"

"I..." He stills and looks at me, his face having crossed a stroke of seriousness, "It's Vince.." He looks down again, "I'm worried about him.. What if he stops coming in? I know he comes every day.. but.." He goes quiet and plays a little more

I'm quiet too, trying to think of what to say that could help. Eventually I find something worth being said, "He'll come back. He always does. Like a little bit of blue glue, he sticks to everyone he meets. Like us! He likes us."

Another giggle is all the answer I get before Henry and Scott arrive to unlock the building. William is late again. I wonder why he's late all the time?

"Good morning Fredbear, Spring Bonnie. How is your day?"

"All good here, Mr Henry!"

"Yeah..."

The humans share a look, then glance at me

I clear my throat as physically as I can, then respond to them "He's a little downtrodden, worried about our loyal local."

"Well, why not sing the opening song? Since we're.. um. Open."

"Great idea Creator!"

"Hehe..."

Myself and the others watch Henry hurriedly skitter off after chuckling nervously at being called Creator

"I'll go help him set up the kitchen. Play nice, you two." After that, Scott wanders off to go find the nervous Henry, followed by a slight pause from us

"It's... sing song time, Spring!"

My stage parter nods, then begins the acoustic while I start my lines

"Hey Henry, you good?"

"Heh, yeah.. I'm fine. Just... nervous."

"Nervous about your child? Or Fredbear pretty much calling you 'Dad'?"

"Uh.. does both count?"

"It does. Have you heard from William?"

"No. You know he always has to do things his own way. He's been like that since we were kids. It got worse after he became an adult."

"Makes sense. C'mon, let's get everything set up for the customers."

"Right."

Hey, sorry this took so long. The next chapter will be a continuation of this one. Hope you're ready.
