A/N: Hey guys!

Welcome back to another chapter of Izuku as the Immortal Iron Fist.

Also… if you've read the recent chapters for BNHA/My Hero Academia's most recent arc… we fans are in mourning. I will not say more. I'm salty, a bit on the pissed side and heartbroken. But, we also have an opportunity to see what comes from the ashes of recent events. Hint, if you have seen fan art regarding the recent changes of Izuku Midoriya… get pumped.

How will the recent arc go in my story? You might be shocked. Especially when it comes to Izuku and his evolving character.

Watched Godzilla vs Kong… too epic for words.

Even watched the Snyder Cut. It definitely redeemed the theatrical cut because… well, Warner hasn't always been on their game for the last few years.

Mass Effect Legendary Edition (minus the Pinnacle DLC) also coming up in the spring…

And Mortal Kombat (2021) … it lived up to the hype and then some. Many are saying that this movie might set up sequels for the future. I honestly hope so. I'm ready to get the full Kombat Kast on screen. Fans already threw in threw in three names for Johnny Cage! Our options are…

Cyclops (played by James Marsden)

Deadpool (played by Ryan Reynolds)

The Miz

So exciting times!

Alright… time for a hot take. I understand both sides of the Sokovia Accords. Dialogue between an entity like the Avengers and the many world leaders would be important. I think back to how Diana represents both her people and the Justice League in the DC Universe. The MCU had Iron Man/Tony Stark more or less. If certain situations arise where the intervention of superheroes is needed, I would feel comfortable calling them in, with some oversight. However, if a government, say one where it has been oppressing its people with policies and principle, abuses that authority to have the Avengers at their beck and call, how can the Avengers say no? That creates controversy. So, while Cap and Tony both make excellent points (no matter how stubborn and pigheaded both men are), some like myself would lean more towards Cap's view. There are governments who would abuse their authority or refuse intervention with regards to the Avengers. If a regime is out of control and the government says you can't go help the people, then what is the point?

Sure, the MCU (like real life), isn't a perfect world or an ideal world but it can always be better. Sure, some points are disagreeable when it comes to Cap's view but it is better than the risks that comes with Tony's view on the Accords.

Of course the flip side? Tony wanted a united front for what was coming. And I don't blame him. That said, the Avengers breakup was on him and Steve. Not only that, diehard fans out there will claim that Tony was acting out of character for a majority of that film. Guilt from the Ultron incident, regrets concerning his parents, the whole break with Pepper… I believe it took its toll on him to a point where he was in a corner. Was it of his own making? Possibly. Because Iron Man isn't one to take orders. That said, he believed in the Accords with good intentions. The only downside? His comic counterpart was of the same thinking with the SRA. Which led to the incarceration and death of notable Marvel characters. Hence why I could never side with Iron Man or come to some sort of resolution regarding the Accords.

Alright, hot take over. Let's go!

Six Years Later

Musutafu, Japan

Aldera Junior High

Morning

It was going to be the start of a new year. Students were either milling about or coming through the gate. One such student, who was destined for bigger things, had come through the gate with a swagger that screamed dangerous. He had ash blonde hair, beady red eyes and wore the Gakuran that was standard for male students at Aldera Junior High.

Katsuki Bakugo, Age: 13

Quirk: Explosion – Allows the user to secrete nitroglycerin via his sweat. After secretion, the nitroglycerin is ignited at the user's command. Simulated explosions can range in terms of yield from a firecracker to a military grade explosive.

Katsuki Bakugo was destined for greatness. He knew it and so did the world. Ever since his quirk reveal at the tender (not so tender) age of four, the world of Quirks was put on notice. He had made it his dream to one day be the greatest hero to ever grace god's green Earth, even greater than the Symbol of Peace himself.

In the span of nine years, Katsuki learned the ins and outs of his Quirk, what his limits were and what possibilities he could do. It was also in these nine years that Katsuki grew arrogant in his own abilities, cocky and had a vicious streak that put even the meanest of thugs to shame. For nine long years, he listened to the praise of others, how they talked on and on about the fact he was next big thing. They always talked about how he was going to be a powerful hero one day and that he should be scouted early for his talent. Sure, they were brown nosers and suck ups but Katsuki soaked it up. His ego grew to a point where no one dared cross him and everyone simply praised him. Even the teachers and educators ignored any unruly behavior from Katsuki, in hopes they or at least their school would be remembered in the rise of Katsuki Bakugo. Though it sickened him to a degree, he did not care. He was Katsuki Bakugo after all, the future of Heroes.

As Bakugo was walking, he heard the hushed whispers of his peers, mere peons he had called 'extras'. They were all beneath him in the end.

"Check it out! It's him!"

"Like oh my gosh it's Bakugo! And girl, he is cute!"

"Such a bad boy! I wonder what he'll be like in high school…"

"Word is some kid got a swirly from Bakugo. Nerd boy must have had it comin'…"

Katsuki simply grinned his usual grin, one that spoke of great maliciousness.

("That's right you damn extras. Keep talking. Soon enough, I'll be gone and you'll be nothing but pebbles in my path. I will become number one. Best believe that.") Bakugo thought with a chuckle.

It wasn't before long that Bakugo and all students at Aldera Junior High found their respective classrooms. Attendance was being taken as all the students took their seats. In Bakugo's classroom, roll was nearly finished until the teacher stopped. The interruption was intentional due to the fact that someone was absent or there was an announcement. A moment later the Vice Principal walked in and whispered into the teacher's ear. The teacher gave no reaction but nodded away. Once the VP exited the classroom, the teacher turned to his class with a small, polite smile.

"Before we start the day, there is a new student I would like for you to meet." The teacher began.

Almost every student started to whisper and gossip at the news. Some guys wondered who Bakugo's next victim would be. Or would he be someone cool? The ladies speculated if the new kid was a guy or girl. Would they be cute? Would they be fashionable? Bakugo of course scoffed and just looked out the window. He didn't give a rat's ass about some lame as hell extra showing up for the new school year. Whoever this was, he or she probably would be a waste of time, effort and space like all the other extras.

It was then the door opened and the whispers stopped. Everyone was surprised as to who just walked through the door. Not only that, it seemed every student was split on what opinion to have of the newcomer.

"Go ahead and introduce yourself young man."

It was then Katsuki gave a lazy glance to the right, not really caring who his next steppingstone was. It was also then that the ash blonde paused, as if struck by a sudden epiphany. This young man, who was around his age, had green hair. It was the same shade of green that he had seen several years prior. Moving on, this youth his age had viridian-colored irises. That and this newcomer was close to his height, standing at 5 feet, 5 inches.

("Wait a goddamn minute… who the fuck…?")

Katsuki slowly turned his head and finally got a good look of the new kid.

Apparently, the youth's green hair was the perfect cross between spikey and curly. He had a boyish look going with the vibrance in his eyes, freckles on each cheek forming diamonds. His school uniform, the standard issue gakuran, was the same as everyone else… except for the fact he took the liberty to make some changes. The jacket/blazer had a few buttons open, showing the grey t-shirt underneath along with some sort of medallion or necklace. Not only that, but the youth also wore red hi-top shoes and on his back was a yellow backpack with a single diagonal strap.

Izuku Midoriya, Age: 13

Quirk: None*

*Note: Secretly bears the power of the Iron Fist. Following his victory within the Tournament of the Fist, Izuku crossed the Bridge of Destiny and defeated Shao Lao in Mortal K… Mortal Combat, thus gaining Shao Lao's power. Izuku is the youngest to bear the power and title Iron Fist.

The green haired youth grinned, showing off a set of pearly whites that shined. If the grin was anything to go by, the boy radiated confidence, a pure heart and a strong will. Not only that, he seemed as cool as the other side of the pillow, hands in his pockets and perfectly relaxed.

"Yo! I'm Izuku Midoriya! It's very nice to meet you all!" The boy greeted with a two fingered salute.

A small quartet of girls tried containing their joy while gossiping about the new cute guy that came into their class. Some of the boys of course split with some not liking Izuku at all while others thought he was pretty chill. But the biggest opinion, came from the most boisterous person in the entire class. Yet he couldn't help but remain silent at this revelation.

("Deku? Fucking Deku?! The hell is this quirkless loser doing here?! I thought he went to the country, the islands or wherever?!")

Izuku smiled as he introduced himself casually, answering a few questions every now and then when prompted. Katsuki sat back and watched the proceedings go down with a vicious growl.

It had been six years since he last saw him. One day the pitiful loser was there and next day he was gone. According to his old man and the hag, the Midoriya trio decided to travel abroad for a while, citing a need for change while also visiting family. While the hag had been a bit grumpier than usual, Katsuki's old man had distanced himself a little which seemed odd. Oh well.

Six years had passed and while there was a hole in his life that Katsuki couldn't quite comprehend to fill, he moved on. He continued to train, get praised by everyone and excel in school. Athletics were a joke and at this point he didn't care to participate. His main goal was becoming the greatest hero in the world, surpassing All Might himself.

As Izuku took his seat several rows away, Katsuki grinned an evil grin vowing to remind the useless Deku his place on the proverbial food chain. Just like all those years ago on the playground.

End of the School Day

Thank the gods for his mother and the masters at the temple.

Izuku breezed through the entire school day with no issues pertaining to the course material. Years of Quirk analysis, Quirk analytics, studies regarding history, English, math, science and so forth gave Izuku the ultimate edge over his peers. His mind had developed to a point he was practically pushing the education of a second year in High School. At this pace, he expected to have a collegiate level grasp on education by the time he was in High School.

Socially though?

Things were a mix bag. Obviously, everyone heard about him from Katsuki or Kacchan, a nickname that stuck since they had been little. Students either avoided Izuku like the plague or tried to pick on him, which never succeeded because Izuku made the effort to not fight back. He simply made quick getaways after a worthwhile distraction to throw his would-be bullies off of his case. Even when showcasing his physical talents, not many wanted anything to do with him.

Oh well.

At least the teachers respected him to a degree. Sure, they showed clear favoritism towards Kacchan, their shining diamond in the rough who was going to be a big hero. If everything worked out for the explosive blonde, the middle school and staff would get notice. Maybe 30 seconds to 1 minute of fame and then that was it. All for the legacy of a random middle school in Japan.

Izuku whistled as his wireless earphones were snuggled around his neck. After packing up his textbooks, notebooks and supplies, he slung his bag on and adjusted the strap. With his left hand in his pocket, Izuku's right hand was occupied with his phone. It was the newest and most durable model his father could buy at the moment. Since coming back to Japan, the Midoriya family came into a plethora of wealth, a new house and new phones. It was a lot of out with the old and in with the new. Izuku didn't mind one bit. Material things were nice sure. But what mattered was the people. His father and mother also shared that sentiment. They just wanted enough safety, security and a pretty picture to maintain the idea of a normal family. No one needed to know just what they were capable of and the full extent of their past.

As Izuku exited the classroom, Bakugo grinned quietly watching his prey. As he stood, several of his posse, four boys and three girls waited for his next move. Fucking leeches, the lot of them. But Bakugo didn't mind so long it fed his ego. He grabbed his bag and stalked out of the classroom, keeping his distance as he followed Izuku.

Meanwhile, Izuku was happily browsing his phone, going through text messages from his mom, dad, Aunt Mitsuki and Uncle Masaru. Kacchan's number was in his contacts too but he'd rather avoid texting him until the time came to properly hash out their differences. Izuku then moved on to the news, seeing if anything major happened in the world. After all, updates were limited during his stay in K'un-Lun.

"Hmm… militant vigilantes in New York? Sounds like a kick ass bunch. Then we have Endeavour turning over a new leaf? Sounds a bit too good to be true but we'll see." Izuku murmured.

Izuku navigated his way through the crowded hallways, not once looking up from his phone. Some students noticed him and gave him a wide berth. Others looked at Izuku weirdly, trying to figure out just how the green haired boy managed to have good situational awareness.

"Hero Killer strikes again… hunt for muscular villain… disappearance of the homeless and the poor… ongoing crime war with Yakuza…"

Izuku finally exited the school doors, walking around the fountain and approaching the gate.

"Hey would you look at that? They finally finished those facilities in orbit and on the moon. Hopefully we can start migrating people up there soon. Our world might not be enough in a society of Quirks." Izuku noted with a smile.

Izuku left the news app and switched to the music one instead. After doing so he was about to adjust his headphones when something caught his eye. As he looked up, Izuku saw the gate was crowded in a way that seemed unusual.

("Huh?")

Izuku took the moment to look at the courtyard in front of the school. He couldn't help but scratch the back of his head, stumped as to why students were blocking the gate or observing him as he just stood there.

("I wonder why they're blocking the gate…")

"Oi! Deku!"

Izuku jumped a little at the voice. It had matured considerably since he last heard it in terms of biological growth. But Izuku knew for a fact that his childhood friend hadn't changed a bit.

("Grandmaster would have my hide for not completely minding my surroundings. This isn't going to end well…")

Izuku slumped as he let out a sigh. He put on an apologetic smile and turned around, taking in the sight of Bakugo flanked by his posse.

"Hey Kacchan! I would like to catch up and all but I gotta-"

"You shut your damn mouth!" Bakugo barked.

Izuku's brow twitched as his smile fell. Yep, hasn't changed a bit.

"It doesn't matter where the fuck you've been. All that matters is that I remind you of your place!" Bakugo exclaimed.

Izuku composed himself, simply putting his hands in his pockets and raising an eyebrow. Around him the students were either gossiping or snickering at the sight of Bakugo crushing a student. This was something that even the teachers let go on, given the fact they were counting on Bakugo to mention their school down the line when he became famous.

"And my place is…?"

Bakugo chuckled, almost fully laughed at the question. He approached Izuku and placed a hand on Izuku's shoulder. This didn't faze Izuku one bit though.

"Beneath my damn boot. You're a pebble, nothing more than an afterthought." Bakugo answered.

Izuku thought that this was the moment Bakugo would use his explosions. In fact it seemed like the most opportune moment to assert his dominance over the slightly shorter male.

The crowd of students all enjoyed the spectacle or simply observed because they were nosy. Izuku's eyes quickly scanned the crowd before returning his gaze to Bakugo.

"But me? I'm a real hero in the making. The next big thing. While you were probably stuck living your useless fantasy of thinking you could be a hero, I busted my ass to get to this point. You're nothing compared to me and never will be. So today I'm going to remind you…"

Bakugo leaned in, his beady red eyes and grin present. Izuku stared unflinchingly into his old friend's eyes, not fazed by the threatening presence that always hung around Kacchan like a foul stench.

"Don't be a hero. After all, who would want a useless waste of space like you saving them eh?" Bakugo remarked with condescension.

Bakugo took his hand off of Izuku's shoulder and stepped back. While everyone had their own reaction, whether supporting Bakugo or it being neutral, Izuku just stood there. After a few moments, Izuku let out a long sigh before shaking his head.

"Six years and still an asshole…" Izuku muttered.

Whether the words were intentional or not, Bakugo's condescending attitude dropped and was replaced with one of irritation and anger. The students noticed this and had questioning looks while Bakugo got up into Izuku's space. Hands crackling with explosions, Bakugo had a nasty snarl on his lips.

"You wanna repeat that?" Bakugo growled.

Izuku's viridian irises glowed as they met Bakugo's angered ruby colored eyes.

"I think you heard me just fine." Izuku retorted with narrowed eyes.

The tension from the standoff resonated throughout all the students gathered. Many of them were rather shocked and nervous given the situation. Bakugo was known around the school as the 'biggest dawg with the biggest nutz' or 'The Ultimate Alpha'. The ash blonde teen was never afraid to voice his feelings whether he was happy (once in a blue moon) or angry (almost daily).

So, for someone from his past, someone everyone had found out to be a useless, Quirkless weirdo with a hero complex to stand up to the school's most notable student? It was hard to fathom. After all, no one in their right mind had enough of a spine to stand up to Bakugo, let alone talk back to him.

Izuku rolled his eyes as his senses felt the feelings of the crowd. He knew Bakugo had a reputation since they were kids but at this magnitude? In middle school of all places? This was ridiculous!

"Look Kacchan, six years is a long time. You were my best friend and brother before you were my bully. I figured time would do you some good and help give you an attitude adjustment but it turns out that wasn't the case." Izuku began.

Bakugo scoffed, which Izuku expected. Sentimentality just wasn't Bakugo's style. At least maybe not in public.

Izuku's eyes glanced off to the side, his face softening a bit. His gaze was just looking at something random, mind lost in thought a bit.

"I still admire your drive to be a hero. I still even consider you my best friend even after you bullied me for three years. I don't hold any of it against you because petty grudges do nothing and mean nothing at the end of the day. That said…"

Bakugo's eyes widened when he saw Deku redirect his gaze. Years ago, the Deku that Bakugo knew was a spinless, wimpy kid with delusions of being a hero. But the young teen in front of him, back after six years abroad, was not that person anymore.

The determination and power of will that came from Izuku's viridian irises made Bakugo shudder. Hell, he could even feel his hands tighten into fists, shaking from this strange feeling in his gut.

"I'm going to be a hero. My dreams and aspirations still live on because I never gave up. You busted your ass all these years? So have I. I'm going to attend UA like my dad did and I'm not going to let you stop me. You will not spit on my dream so long as I breathe. You may be my best friend but you are also my rival." Izuku finished with a determined glint in his eyes.

Izuku turned on his heel and made his way to the gate. But just as he was halfway there he stopped.

"So do yourself a favor Kacchan…"

Izuku glanced over his shoulder, giving Bakugo a burning gaze.

"Tone down your ego and your pride. There are aspiring would-be heroes out there who far stronger than you are and I daresay I'm one of 'em." Izuku warned.

It took a minute to register but everyone's jaws dropped at the statement. It was definitely a moment where the mic was dropped.

Izuku adjusted his headphones so they covered his ears before fishing out his phone. As he made his way off campus grounds, Izuku sported a bored expression while searching for a good song.

His fellow students however were gob smacked. Did the new kid, an old acquaintance of Bakugo's, just say he was stronger than Bakugo himself? What was going on? There was no way that guy was better than Bakugo.

Everyone in the courtyard had descended into gossip and murmurs, this incident sparking a social wildfire. Some students milled about still while others were making there way home for the day. Bakugo's posse on the other hand couldn't make heads or tails of what they just bore witness to and looked at each other uneasily. After a few moments of indecision, the group decided to check on Bakugo. However…

"THAT BASTARD!" Bakugo roared.

It was probably for the best to steer clear of the Alpha male when he was pissed.

Streets of Musutafu

Izuku was relaxed, steps swaggered as he lightly bobbed his head to a tune. It help distract himself from the thoughts on his best friend. Even though what went down was a public confrontation, there had been progress made to a degree.

("That went as well as expected. One could only hope he changes before we go to high school in two years…")

More than anything Izuku wanted to be a hero. But he wasn't opposed to supporting others dreams too. Back in the day, deep in the memories of his childhood, Izuku remembered two boys watching All Might save lives, fight the bad guys and go home with a smile. They had admired his strength, speed and charisma to such a degree they both promised to be heroes. Izuku snickered a bit at vehemently denying his best friend that he would be the sidekick.

Him? A sidekick? Please.

Izuku Midoriya has now returned to Japan. His road to being a hero has been altered and for the better. With power, support and a plethora of training Izuku is well on his way to becoming the hero he wants to be.

Elsewhere, there are other events of interest taking place. These events help shape the future… for better and for worse.

Hisashi's Rival

Nemo Enterprises

Morning

Nemo Enterprises was one of the top business corporations in Japan and had successfully earned enough credibility to be recognized across all Asian nations. While its HQ was located in Tokyo, the company had numerous branches that were specifically located in locations where they could hold great influence.

Right now, the Musutafu branch was experiencing the norm on a weekday. Standing tall with 40 floors, 3 dedicated to IT and computer servers, the building shined in the Musutafu skyline. High up where the Executives and their teams frequented, two men were walking the hallway which gave them a great view of the city.

The first wore a silver pinstripe suit with a black tie and black dress shoes. On his right wrist was a black and silver smartwatch, custom made via special request to a friend of a friend. Even with the goatee and shaggy hair (slicked back to look presentable), his viridian eyes shone with life, brilliance and sharpness. This man was Hisashi Midoriya, former Iron Fist and one of the business executives for Nemo Enterprises. How? His good friend, a laptop with good internet connection to the outside world and buying a good amount of stock within the company. Plus, with his business know-how, it literally took a couple of weeks for many to process the fact that Hisashi, coming off of an extended hiatus, snagged a high-level position within the Musutafu branch of Nemo Enterprises.

Next to Hisashi was a man with spikey brown hair, square frames on his face. He wore a navy-colored suit with a gold tie. On his feet were dark colored dress shoes.

Masaru Bakugo

Quirk: Acid Sweat – User is able to secrete acidic sweat that contains combustible properties. Hands or other limbs must be rubbed together in order to create explosions.

UA Alumni, Businessman, Legal Expert

Hisashi walked along, hands in his pockets and showing off a confident smile. Next to him, Masaru also smiled while carrying a tablet under his right arm.

"I know you're probably tired of hearing this but it's good to have back buddy." Masaru said.

"Good to be back old friend. Honestly, I've missed this city and its people." Hisashi responded wistfully.

Masaru chuckled before bringing up the tablet.

"Now that you're back, we should go over what our day is looking like."

Hisashi hummed in agreement.

"Sure thing. Hit me with it."

Masaru swiped a few times on the tablet before bringing up some notes. These notes were then expanded so Masaru had a better sight on the contents.

"Got a couple of meetings with some Team Chiefs. Marketing is also holding a meeting trying to push a proposal. In addition to that, you have some hard copies that need to be signed before being sent to the higher ups." Masaru listed.

Hisashi hummed again in response. With the promotion and new responsibilities, his workload wouldn't be as heavy as when he was just a grunt in a cubicle. That said, the tolerance and leash would be tight. Hisashi could count on his discipline and hard work to win favor with his superiors. He didn't need them breathing down his neck all the time.

"What about you Mas? Don't you have work too?" Hisashi queried with a glance.

Masaru sighed before adjusting his glasses.

"Yeah. I'm honestly hoping to hold off on some paperwork though. The forms that got sent to me weren't formatted correctly and I swear the same person who sent them up isn't trying to correct them. It's frustrating." Masaru replied.

"Sheesh, sounds rough."

Masaru gave a shrug at that. This was another typical day at the workplace.

"You know how it is."

The duo continued on before Masaru checked his smart watch for a notification. He hummed before spitting off from Hisashi. Masaru sent a smile and a wave over his shoulder as he made his way down the hall.

"Gotta run. But I'll see you again in a bit."

"Sure thing Mas. I'll see you around." Hisashi replied with his own wave.

Hisashi continued on, heading towards the executive offices while also passing the meeting room. Had he been paying attention, he would have felt a presence he had not felt in a long time. But this presence noticed him.

"Hisashi Midoriya."

Hisashi hummed when he heard his name. He turned around and was completely shocked at the sight he saw. His eyes then turned into a fierce glare, hands removed from his pockets forming into tight fists.

"You." Hisashi growled.

Standing several meters away was a dark-skinned man, standing roughly 2 inches taller in height than Hisashi. He had a dark beard, which was greying slightly showing he was an older gentleman. On his person was a black suit, black tie, maroon colored dress shirt and shiny, black dress shoes. In his arms was an overcoat, hat, gloves and an ornate designed cane.

What gave away this man's identity was the man's amber colored eyes. For Hisashi knew this man's story. This man's ancestors had migrated from the Middle East before finding their place in K'un-Lun. But it was because of this man's actions that he and his clan had to leave the ancient city.

For a few years, Hisashi had called him many things. Friend, brother, mentor, senior… and eventually rival.

Now though? He was an enemy.

Davos

Quirk: None

Former Iron Fist Candidate, Martial Artist

The clear disdain shone bright from Davos' unnatural eyes, which was met by the challenging glare of Hisashi. Both men's respective Chi built with their moods, as a standoff ensued.

"Davos. What the hell are you doing here in Japan?" Hisashi demanded.

Davos huffed a dismissive breath as he put on his gloves. He then eyed Hisashi with a pointed look as he adjusted his tie.

"Simply business. I'm rather surprised though to find you here. Not in Japan mind you, but this company." Davos answered.

Hisashi let a little tension leave his shoulders but kept his guard up.

"I work here Davos. In fact, I'm pretty high up the corporate ladder. Took a few years but let's just say my hard work and investments paid off."

The bald-headed man nodded before narrowing his eyes.

"Even so…" Davos trailed off.

The standoff continued for several moments before the younger man broke it.

"Still holding a grudge." Hisashi stated with a snort.

"You took away what was rightfully mine. All those years of tutoring you, teaching you, taking you under my wing and you betrayed me!" Davos sneered.

"I beat you fair and square Davos. You're just bitter over the fact that I was just that much better than you." Hisashi retorted.

Davos growled before one of his guards came up to him and whispered in his ear. Hisashi saw as Davos let his gaze fall away to the side before nodding. Davos then returned his attention to his former protégé while his guards helped him with his coat.

"We will settle things in a proper setting Midoriya and at a proper time. The elders, masters and Grandmaster aren't here to protect you now. And neither is your clan." Davos reminded his former friend.

Hisashi unclenched his hands and shoved them into his pockets.

"My bonds make me stronger Davos. And just so you know, I fight my own battles. Case in point our fight all those years ago." Hisashi asserted sharply.

Davos simply chuckled before putting on his hat. The man's sharp eyes met that of Hisashi's as he smirked.

"We'll see if you can properly back your words Midoriya. Until then."

Davos turned on his heel, walking away with his three personal guards in tow. Hisashi watched on for several moments before closing his eyes and letting out a sigh. He remembered that day, all those years ago when the Zodiac Temple had held the tournament. His father, several masters and Davos had taught him all he knew about martial arts, the world and so many other matters.

("Because for the warrior to be sharp he must train his mind to even greater heights than his body. For the mind is the ultimate weapon…") Hisashi thought with a huff.

"He's a real character isn't he?"

Hisashi's lips cracked into a slight smile as his eyes drifted to the right.

"I would imagine so. He was a good man once before he lost his way." Hisashi answered.

Hisashi then turned around to find the other male, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed.

"If you say so." The man said with a shrug.

Hisashi let out a slight chuckle, the other man smirking at the reaction of his friend.

"How's the security job treating you Iwao?" Hisashi asked.

Iwao Oguro

Former Pro Hero O' Clock (Japan), Hyper Quadfist (China)

Vigilante Alias: Knuckleduster

Quirk: None*

Iwao Oguro was known to some as the hero O' Clock, before being mysteriously forced into retirement after a dangerous villain attack. It was during the attack he lost his Quirk, which his pro hero alias was named after.

Nowadays, for a decade plus worth, he's been fighting crime at night as the hard-hitting vigilante Knuckleduster. Before coming to Japan though, he did vigilante work in China and Hong Kong, which led to hundreds of arrests, several dozen drug busts and a few big name crime syndicates being eradicated. After moving to Japan, he had met Hisashi while the green haired man was Iron Fist. Needless to say, they hit it off quick and became friends and comrades.

"Better than being a bouncer, that's for sure."

Which was an understatement. Iwao went from dealing with unruly partygoers and clubgoers, to working security for a high-profile company. He traded in sports jackets, jeans and turtlenecks look for something more tactical.

Right now, he was wearing navy colored combat pants with built in knee pads, black boots with a side zip feature, and a tight grey t-shirt. For weapons and tools of choice, Iwao had his taser gun, handcuffs, mace and most important of all… a pair of studded brass knuckles. But the most noticeable thing about Iwao was his battle scar, a long streak that was placed between his left eye and his nose.

"How's Tamao doing?"

Yeah… Tamao.

Tamao of course was Iwao's only child, his daughter in fact. Her mother, Iwao's wife Chiasa, was quite content on only having one or two kids due to Iwao's lifestyle. The family's overall relationship was rocky due to Iwao's vigilante activities. But a close call with several villains brought the family closer together.

Although Chiasa had quite the talented singing voice, she opted to stay in the medical field where her talented hands could be used to save lives. With that being the case, Tamao picked up her mother's natural talent of singing and wanted to pursue her dreams of being a talented musician and vocalist. When Iwao tried axing the idea, he was overruled by Chiasa, with her pleading the case their little girl could whatever she dreamed of doing so long as she finished school. Iwao reluctantly got on board after the argument was settled.

"She's fine. Still loves the music thing and picked up computers as a hobby." Iwao replied.

Hisashi quirked a brow questioningly.

"Apparently, she has a bit of a hero complex when it comes to me and my proteges. So, nowadays she works as our team's hacker, communications and tech expert much to the added stress of her mother and I." Iwao clarified with added exasperation.

Hisashi nodded in understanding before walking, with Iwao joining him.

"I'm sure it won't be too bad. Just be careful and take care of newbies will you? Last thing I need is to send my son out to back you guys up."

Iwao glanced down at Hisashi questioningly. Hisashi sighed before revealing…

"He's following in my footsteps. But he'll become a legitimate hero unlike myself." Hisashi clarified.

Iwao barked out a laugh before looking at Hisashi again.

"Oh I gotta hear this.."

Bonding Mothers

Kiyashi Ward Shopping Mall

Beauty Salon

Morning

The Mall was buzzing with the typical patrons. Some were adults and the kids they brought with them. Others had been teenagers hoping to score the next big purchase while showing off to their friends.

In one section of the mall, there was beauty salon popular to women of all ages. Said salon was hosting a pair of longtime friends. One was Inko Midoriya, whose hair was tied into a single braid with it being draped over her right shoulder. She wore a light-colored t-shirt and jeans, white sneakers off due to the fact she was getting a much-needed pedicure.

Sitting next to Inko was her best friend of many years. Said best friend wore a black t-shirt, dark jacket and jeans, her sandals being off due to the fact she was also getting a pedicure.

Mitsuki Bakugo

Quirk: Glycerin – Gives user ability to secrete glycerin from her skin. Due to its effects, plus a healthy lifestyle, the compounds within the Glycerin allow for the user to maintain a youthful image (entire body) with minor disregard to aging.

Shiketsu Alumni, Housewife, Glamour Model, Legal Expert

"Girl I tell you what, this is the best!" Mitsuki exclaimed with a grin.

Inko giggled lightly at her friend's enthusiasm. Always count on Mitsuki to be the life of a party or a planned girl's day with friend(s). Especially when their day consists of shopping and spoiling themselves using their respective husbands money.

"I know what you mean. It's been quite a long time since we've done something like this. We usually just do it ourselves." Inko said in agreement.

Mitsuki nodded rapidly before looking her friend's way.

"So, tell me something Inko…"

As Inko was sipping her lemonade she hummed while turning towards her friend.

"What's been up with you and the family lately? We hardly ever got a letter from you. I was kind of worried you know…"

Inko blinked a few times before setting down her lemonade. She smiled apologetically at Mitsuki.

"Sorry about 'Suki. But things kind of picked up when we met with Hisashi's family. One thing led to another and we just lost track of time." Inko explained.

Mitsuki frowned before looking away. This reaction caused Inko's brows to furrow due to worry and concern.

("It wasn't like I ignored her and Masaru on purpose. We had so much going on in K'un-Lun that we just couldn't get a proper correspondence going…") Inko thought.

"I just thought… maybe you hated me…" Mitsuki murmured.

Inko recoiled in shock before her face twisted into an expression of confusion.

"Hate you? You Mitsuki? Whatever for?" Inko questioned.

Mitsuki bit the inside of her cheek, chewing on it for a bit so to gather her thoughts. She turned to Inko with a hurt and apologetic expression that Inko didn't like.

"I'm not naïve Inko. A mother knows what her children are up to. Especially when they're a bully to other kids…"

Inko's eyes widened in shock and surprise. She and Hisashi were of the opinion that Mitsuki hadn't been aware of Katsuki's behavior or his antics at school. The couple figured that Masaru found out eventually but due to his more reserved nature, couldn't set Katsuki straight even if he tried. That left Mitsuki to be the disciplinarian. Which begs the question…

"H-How…"

Mitsuki grimaced and rubbed her neck.

"Motherly instincts and Masaru has a terrible poker face. Plus, he can't lie worth a damn." Mitsuki answered.

Inko's mouth formed an 'O' in understanding. That made sense of course. Whenever both couples got together for a friendly game of cards, Masaru was always picked on. Despite his prowess as a businessman, he couldn't lie to save his life or maintain a mask to hide his feelings. It was why Hisashi and Mitsuki went at him hard, getting him out first much to his misery.

"Plus, knowing Katsuki he probably bullied Izuku at some point which played a factor into you guys leaving. That hurt… to think my own son was capable of driving away people I practically considered family despite having no relation. It made me kind of sad…" Mitsuki admitted.

Mitsuki's hands were folded in her lap as she looked away from her best friend. Inko couldn't help but sigh and shake her head. She honestly should have known better and done better for her best friend. The green haired woman had felt the same way about Mitsuki and her family, even if Katsuki was… rough around the edges.

"Hey now, there's no need to have that face…"

Inko reached over and placed her hand on top of Mitsuki's. The blonde's disheartened eyes turned to the greenette's, Inko sporting a comforting smile.

"I could never hold your son's actions against you. Izuku and Hisashi feel the same way. We never left because of him but because it was best for us at the moment. That and Izuku needed to interact with peers who accepted him. We both know kids can be cruel if given the opportunity."

Mitsuki was conflicted and hesitant to let the issue go. She had only found out about Katsuki and his bullying a year or two after her best friend since high school, packed up and left with her family. At first, she was furious, livid at the fact that Katsuki would bully kids just because of their Quirk or their looks. Even after a few attempts of setting him straight he would rebel and lash out. Next she felt a bit helpless and frustrated. She confided in Masaru how she figured out that Izuku was bullied by Katsuki at some point, possibly just after being diagnosed Quirkless. She also managed to squeeze out a confession that Masaru had known since Hisashi, Inko and Izuku left Japan.

Then Mitsuki went back to being angry. She threw a fit and also manage to squeeze out that Masaru knew more about the Midoriya's family move than he let on and how the secrets they guarded were theirs to share. She would let their secrets slide for the fact that Masaru owed her big time. So, the night of their talk, Mitsuki was treated to a special dinner before having one of the most passionate sessions of sex in her life. Of course, there were consequences if Masaru couldn't keep up and after four hours of various positions and sexual acts, Mitsuki gave the poor man a break. Mitsuki forgave Masaru for withholding vital information on the promise he wouldn't do it again.

Back to now though…

"But Katsuki…"

"Is young and still has much to learn. What he does and how he acts doesn't reflect on you. You're a damn good mother Mitsuki, never forget that." Inko asserted.

It was contradictory because Katuski did reflect on both her and Masaru. How they did as parents would reflect on how their son would grow up and act in the real world. While he did have his instances of maturity and wisdom, he was still a very abrasive teenage boy.

("Who is the perfect reflection of me in every way. He barely took on anything from his father…") Mitsuki pondered with a wince.

Inko leaned back and restarted her massage chair with a smile on her face. After closing her eyes, she let out a pleasure filled sigh.

"Now, no more putting yourself down 'Suki. We have a girls day to continue." Inko lightly chided.

Before she knew it, Mitsuki lips twitched up and she couldn't help but laugh. Even six years away, Inko had not changed one bit. Even with the new look, she was still the same green haired girl she met at Shiketsu.

"You know what? You're absolutely right!" Mitsuki exclaimed with a big grin.

Inko hummed and nodded, glad to get Mitsuki's mind off of negative thoughts. She would be more than happy to talk more later though. She owed her best friend that much.

("Although I'm happy she's back to her normal self…")

Inko couldn't help but sweatdrop and laugh nervously as Mitsuki was already indulging herself. Her manicure was being done on one hand while she was sipping a drink that must've been liquor, wine or alcohol. If the gleam in her eyes meant anything, it meant mischief and a good time (Both good and bad).

("I dread how exactly our day is going to end… oh boy.")

Reconciliation

Hospital

Afternoon/Evening

To reconcile means to forgive.

To reconcile means to build anew.

To reconcile means coming to terms with your past and your sins.

A tall figure, dressed in a navy, pinstripe suit, black dress shoes and wearing aviator shades strode forward. He had a fierce aura and walked with a swagger that showed he meant business. To those who knew who he was, given the crimson-colored hair, he was not a particularly nice guy.

Whether that be in or out of costume. But things were changing, especially given today.

Enji Todoroki

Pro Hero Alias: Endeavor

Quirk: Hellflame – Allows for user to produce and manipulate fire at will. The flames produced range in terms of color and intensity. However, the risk of using non-standard flame is hazardous to both the user and the environment. It is rather important to note that through various degrees of training, the user could utilize the quirk for other methods such as making weapons and temporary flight.

Hero Ranking: #2

Enji had come to the hospital to retrieve someone of great importance. Hell, she was the most important person in his life, it had just taken many years for him to realize it the right way. For too long had he disregarded her feelings, her emotions and her needs. It was one of the reasons both this woman and himself had found themselves at a crossroads.

Despite what was amounted to a Quirk Marriage, Enji still fell in love with her.

As he exited the hospital and made his way to the parking lot, Enji took a time to glance at his silent companion.

She had long white hair that went to the upper part of her back. Her skin was a shade paler than the average human being due to her quirk. It was also due to her quirk that her lips took a shade of deep blue, which gave her an alluring presence that hadn't been present before. Enji would have been a fool not to recognize this, as this was not the same woman he had met so many years ago. And this was definitely not the same woman he had married and had kids with.

Rei Todoroki

Quirk: Winter Maiden – Highly advanced form of Cryokinesis. User is able to manipulate her immediate surroundings, possibly an entire city, by simply accessing moisture in the air. She is also able to freeze certain objects should she choose to do so. Lastly, the Quirk's greatest counter, not weakness, is Hellflame.

Rei smiled serenely, her form covered in a beautifully designed white and blue Yukata gifted by her husband. Despite the separation, drama and hardship, her husband could still show his sweet side.

The pair had reached the parking lot, where a limo driver was awaiting their arrival. He opened the door for them both, receiving a kind bow from Rei and a nod from Enji. Once both were seated, the driver took his position behind the wheel and began the journey to the Todoroki Estate. Given that Enji was one of the best heroes around, second to All Might himself, he had invested a lot into his family as well as himself. Of course, years of ambition destroyed some of his work.

As the couple sat in silence, both taking in the scenery outside their own windows, they had time to gather their thoughts. For the last time they had seen each other, EMTs and several police officers had dragged a manic Rei Todoroki from the family estate, her kids watching on from their bedrooms and her husband from the front door. It was the memories of all the hardship Enji put the entire family through that disturbed the man deeply. For while Rei had been confined to a hospital for treatment, Enji had to stew on his own failures as a hero, a man and a human being.

Enji took off his shades and placed them in his jacket pocket. He let a sigh leave his lips before looking over to his wife. Rei's grey colored irises used to be darker, once upon a time.

("And likely lost a little life no thanks to you… damn fool!") Enji thought while cursing himself.

As he took in his wife for the first time in so long, his heart yearned to make up for lost time. But before he could do that, he would beg, no, grovel for his wife's forgiveness and a second chance at love lost. He owed her many things, as he had hurt her for so long. He forced her from a home they shared, away from their children no less. He even went as far as to have her committed to a hospital for mental issues and pretty much kept it under the rug for a few years until now. He had caused her this pain… this anguish. He…

"It's quite beautiful outside…"

Enji jumped a bit, eyes widening as his wife turned towards him. She still maintained her smile. That damned, serene and so beautiful smile.

"Wouldn't you agree Enji?" Rei prompted.

Enji swallowed, the large lump in his throat going away. He bowed his head, not yet ready to meet Rei in the eye. His large hands started to get a bit clammy, so he clutched the tailored fabric tight.

"Yes… but the scenery could never match your beauty Rei." Enji admitted quietly.

Rei was a bit surprised at the answer but her expression then gave way to a soft smile. Then she giggled a bit before sliding closer to her husband.

"Oh Enji, you don't have to be so nervous around me. You are my husband after all. We can talk about anything you wish." Rei said soothingly.

Enji bobbed his head, agreeing with her statement. He had so much he wanted to talk about, he might as well take care of this first.

"I wish to make amends Rei. I hurt you… I tore our family apart. And I can't live without helping my family heal." Enji began.

Without her smile now, Rei paid her husband her utmost attention.

"For the longest time, I was so selfish. I was driven to become the best hero possible. I always carried a chip on my shoulder, especially since UA. Time and again, All Might would just show the people and the world why he was the better hero. It made me sick."

Enji thought back to his younger days. He scowled a bit, always seemingly bitter about the days during his attendance at UA and what came after when he made his debut. Sure, people paid attention but the showstopper and show stealer was always All Might. Everywhere he went, he saw reminders of his inferiority.

"But… once upon a time I met the woman who looked at the man and not the hero. She had short hair which was white as snow. Her eyes were like steel, yet despite being so cold they carried so much life. Before long we started talking and seeing each other…"

They both shared a smile at that. Though the marriage was arranged, the feelings were genuine between Enji and Rei. He was loud, boisterous and prideful almost to a fault. She radiated kindness, was a bit meeker than her peers but had nothing short of a beautiful spirit. Hesitant to meet his wife's eyes, Enji lifted his head and simply looked off to the side and watched the passing scenery.

"Little did I know, that young woman became my other half. She bore and raised the little angels that would become our children. And it was my duty as a man to protect them with my life." Enji continued fondly.

Then the light mood disappeared and Enji sighed mournfully. Rei's smile dropped again and she tilted her head, getting a read of her husband. The red-haired man turned his head, deciding to now stare at the floor in the back of the limousine.

"In the end though I failed and because of that, one of our angels is in heaven while the others are divided with their opinion of me. And what's worse is the fact I shunned the one person who meant everything to me."

Gathering up his courage, which was easier when he was being Endeavor, Enji turned to look at his wife. He was very gun shy about physical contact up to this point, treating his wife like a porcelain doll. Plus, Enji swore to himself he most likely lost the right to touch her at all. He'd taken so much from her that it only be fair trade to give so much back and then some.

So, without preamble, Enji took his wife's hands into his own. Rei kept her eyes on Enji's face the whole time, not even glancing down as she felt his warm hands encompass her cold ones. After taking the time to compose himself, Enji Todoroki looked his wife in the eyes with the most honest look possible. He didn't just open the gate, he tore down the walls to show the depths of his heart and soul.

"I failed you Rei Todoroki, as your husband, the father to our children and as a man. I have dedicated my life to doing better by the people of Japan, our children and to you. And I will spend every waking moment of my life doing so until I pass from this life." Enji vowed earnestly.

After that statement, the couple sat in silence as the limo continued its course for the Todoroki Estate. Enji patiently awaited Rei's response, not once glancing away from her. Meanwhile, Rei stared hard into Enji's eyes, gauging them, looking so far into his soul. To Rei, she had held so much back during those first years of having the kids. Enji was different, so much more filled with light and not having to think about the darkness that clouded his mind.

His great ambition to surpass All Might.

Rei knew how much it meant to Enji that he had to leave a proud, heroic legacy behind. It meant everything to him. So, she did her best to distract him, love him and give into all his needs so that he could be a good hero but be the man she needed him to be. It ended up being wishful thinking.

It started one day with their eldest child. A situation that devolved into tragedy, unraveling the family from the seams.

After the incident with their youngest, Rei was committed for mental health issues. It was during her time away from her family, in isolation, that she found herself.

She found the answer to so many questions.

Yes, Rei was very much still the same kind person she had grown into before and after meeting Enji. But she didn't have the strength he had. She didn't have her own strength to lean on. As time passed, she discovered her strength and her resolve through countless weeks of self-discovery. The doctors and nurses that tended to her were kind and very happy of the progress she was making. When they figured she was of sound mind, they mostly left her to her own devices.

The first year away from home, she resolved herself to be stronger for her children's sake. As such, she developed a series of routines focused on self-improvement. First her mind before her body. Early morning meditation before breakfast. Followed by reading, watching TV (which was limited to a few channels) and lunch. Then, she started doing Yoga in the afternoon. Dinner and another session of meditation rounded out her day. The night cap was book reading and sleep. The cycle would repeat itself until new routines were added the second and third year.

Rei got more strenuous in terms of exercise to help improve her physical strength. The only cardio she could do was walking around the hospital.

It was in between the third and fourth year that the changes began.

A Quirk evolution.

She remembered one night that she was cold, colder than usual and not being able to sleep for a few hours. Then nothing. She passed out, waking up an hour or two later than her body was used to. Her appearance now was what she woke up to back then. Her powers, her Quirk had gotten stronger. According to her psychiatrist, nurse and doctor an emotional trigger caused her Quirk to forcefully evolve.

Rei took this all-in stride and focused on her true goal. She wanted to reconcile with Enji while reuniting with her babies. They were all that mattered at that point.

Did she forgive Enji for his transgressions? Yes. Was she still hurt? Of course.

Would she ever forget? Never in a million years. So much of their story had been written at this point in which all that mattered was today and tomorrow. The present and the future.

So, after humming thoughtfully, Rei closed her eyes and remained steadfast with what she had decided long ago.

"Very well, I understand." Rei finally said with a nod.

Rei withdrew her hands from Enji's hold, an act that would have pained the man had she not surprised with him next action.

"Rei?"

Maneuvering herself and plopping down in Enji's lap, Rei smiled as she settled down. She sighed as she let her head rest against Enji's torso and her left hand resting against his chest.

Not wanting to ruin whatever moment Rei was going for, Enji wrapped his arms loosely around her small frame. As if pleased by this action, Rei hummed which reverberated into Enji's chest. That… was a good feeling. The couple sat in silence for several moments before Rei broke it.

"You hurt me Enji." She began.

Enji swallowed hard, eyes darting off to the side.

"I know. I know that."

Rei opened her eyes, letting her mind think back to the old days. She remembered both the good and the bad.

"Although I've already forgiven you, I can never forget what you put myself and the children through. You taking responsibility is a good start."

Then Rei looked up, causing Enji to look down. His wife had a bright smile on her face that suited her. That alone gave him hope for a better future.

"For what it's worth, I'm coming home to the people I love. This is the start of a new chapter in our lives and for that I'm grateful." Rei beamed brightly.

Enji's heart warmed at that. Rei's smile and warmth was so infectious, the man couldn't help the soft smile that graced his face. Rei giggled again, seeing Enji smile. It was a very welcoming sight.

"That said…"

Enji tilted his head in confusion before Rei did something completely unexpected. The petite woman wrapped one hand around his tie before using her other hand to grasp the back of her husband's head. With lidded eyes, Rei smashed her lips against Enji's, the red-haired man's eyes widening. To get better access to the rest of her husband's mouth, Rei channeled her quirk while nipping Enji's bottom lip.

Surprised by his wife's actions, Enji's mouth opened a bit more offering Rei what she had been seeking. Enji's eyes slammed shut as he felt his wife's tongue wrestle with his own. She tasted like ice and mint. Somewhere there was a cross of ice cream and candied mints that seem to burst in Enji's mouth. The taste of his wife, as well as the smell was divine to the fire hero.

Then the lust clouded Enji's mind.

He wrapped his strong arms around the small of Rei's back and brought her closer. Rei moaned in pleasure as her own eyes fluttered shut. They continued on like this for a bit as Enji started to grind against Rei's body. How long has it been since they touched each other so intimately? There was so much he wanted to make up for. There were proper steps to take in repairing the broken bonds within his family. But could he continue on like this with his wife? He wasn't ready yet. He didn't want it to go too far without properly talking to her.

But the minx was just too damn good to resist.

And just when Enji thought they would enjoy the moment more, Rei immediately drew back. As they separated, Enji noticed the string of saliva that connected them. It was quite vulgar and improper for them to do this in the back of a limo. Not only that, Enji's tie had been loosened and a few buttons were undone on his shirt. Confused, aroused and a bit disoriented, a flushed face Enji looked at the mischievous little minx he called his wife. Just where in the hell did she get that spunk from?

"Wha…?"

A blushing Rei giggled before licking her lips. Then she looked at him with a look that sent chills up his spine. And somehow the chills had felt good and bad. Or were the bad chills just him being paranoid?

"You and I are going to make up properly. But that will be in due time. Although I never hated you for all that you did, I still need proper retribution. After all, my bed was rather cold without my favorite burning teddy bear." Rei playfully informed.

Enji shook his head from his previous stupor. Then he blinked a few times before properly absorbing what his wife just said. That tricky, seductive ice vixen just called him a teddy bear!

Leveling a stare that didn't affect Rei whatsoever, Enji growled a little. This only drew another giggle from Rei.

"I'm not a teddy bear." Enji retorted with a half pout, half glare.

And this time, the reaction Enji gained was full blown laughter. Rei tried to cover her mouth with her fingertips but the sounds escaped her lips with no resistance. Enji stared hard at his wife for several moments before his lips twitched into a small smile. Then he joined his wife's laughter with a chuckle, which drew her attention.

After a moment of calming down, the two stared into each other's eyes with light smiles. Enji then gave his wife a light kiss on the lips before closing his eyes and resting his forehead against hers.

"I missed your laugh." Enji confessed with a sigh.

Rei felt herself melt at her husband's admission. She allowed herself to close her eyes while her smile widened.

"And I missed you." Rei said with a sigh.

The limo driver decided now was a good moment to check on the couple. He had heard the stories of what went on in the Todoroki household. If needed, he would require the strength of god in order to prevent a domestic incident. Heaven forbid, he may need the authorities should an incident escalate.

As the driver took a peek using the rearview, he was shocked and surprised at first when the peculiar sight met his eyes. Then he smiled, coming to the realization that this couple was reconciling in their own way. Everything would be just fine.

The drive itself lasted several more minutes before the limo arrived at the private estate of the Todoroki family. After pulling up to the gate, the driver got out and immediately opened the passenger doors with a smile. Stepping out and greeting the man with a respectful nod was Enji Todoroki.

Enji turned and offered a hand to Rei who slowly got out of her seat. She gave the driver a bow and allowed Enji to lead her past the gate. Once she had stepped past the threshold, she recognized that the gardens that she had a hand in tending had been maintained. Better yet, her favorite flowers were added to the mix.

Rei looked around with a bright smile, her cold hand enveloped by Enji's hot one. The fire hero could tell that his wife was approving of the additions to the garden that was part of the path to the house. He had called in some favors and made an investment in certain plants that could thrive in the seasonal weather of Japan. After all, it was meant to be a gift for his wife.

The couple ended up stopping as they heard a commotion from the house. Enji smiled and looked to Rei. She smiled back, appreciating her husband's gentleness.

"Come on honey, the kids are dying to see their mother."

Rei just beamed before looking to where the front door was. It was soon opened and three people appeared. Three very familiar people.

They were her children. Her babies.

("It feels good to be home.")

Enji let go of his wife's hand as she rushed to meet two of her children, Fuyumi and Natsuo. Natsuo was crying hard while Fuyumi simply cried happily on her mother's shoulder. Rei simply smiled away while embracing her children tightly.

Hanging back was the family's youngest child Shoto, who adorned his mother and siblings with a soft look. He turned his gaze to his father who simply gave a nod. Shoto's look hardened a little but he returned the nod.

The Todoroki family was mending its shattered bonds, little by little.

Hard Hands, Burning Determination

Streets of Musutafu

Afternoon

It was a quiet evening in the city of Musutafu. Most citizens were wrapping up their workday or in some cases, leaving school. One such citizen had his head in the clouds. He wore a short sleeve dress shirt, dark colored slacks and brown loafers. His build was bit better than a majority of his male peers, sported onyx-colored locks that was a constant in the family and had ruby colored irises.

Eijiro Kirishima

Quirk: Hardening – Allows for user to harden and sharpen any point of his body; User's flesh becomes jagged and rocky

It was just another day at school… or so Kirishima told himself. He wasn't bullied at all. That said, he wasn't the social type. He adopted the strong silent type persona out of protection. Friends were rather hard to come by and he was very awkward when it came to normal interactions. It was especially bad when Kirishima found himself near or around the opposite gender.

Kirishima was still a young, healthy boy coming into his teenage years. He only half understood the changes undergoing in his body. He would soon grow taller, voice get a little deeper and of course hair would grow in places he never knew had places.

Kirishima was also starting to become aware of how pretty the girls at his school were. Their bodies, along with his distracted mind created scenarios he was doing his best to understand. Despite sex ed being taught in health and science classes across the world, Kirishima was still trying to grasp certain concepts. Or he was doing his best not to think about it too much.

("It really doesn't help when I think about her a lot…") he lamented mentally.

Kirishima let a sigh leave his lips at the thought. The young man couldn't help but think of the social butterfly of the school. She was admired by all, had a versatile Quirk, was very sociable… hell he could go on about all her other traits for hours, giving detailed elaboration which portrayed his admiration for her.

The only issue with that was he didn't know her personally. Hell, he couldn't approach her without clamming up or his Quirk involuntarily activating. If Kirishima were to approach this girl, he wanted it to be at the right place and the right time.

("And preferably not in a place where I embarrass myself in front of everyone…")

Kirishima sighed again. Man he was hopeless!

"Ah!"

Kirishima perked up when he heard the sound. He looked left, curious at first before becoming shocked.

Several feet away, an abnormally tall being in a cloak was standing hunched over girls from Kirishima's school. If their reaction was anything to go by, they were terrified.

("S-Seriously though! That guy is huge!")

Kirishima moved a bit closer, trying to get a better read on the situation. His phone was on a low battery but he could call in the professionals should the situation escalate.

("But they might not get here in time…")

Kirishima tensed up as the giant man spoke. Taking away from the conversation, it seemed this man was lost. But Kirishima's gut told him this guy was dangerous. Could be a serial killer… or maybe even a new villain. The man's booming voice had asked a question, which the girls couldn't answer. Then, to Kirishima's growing fear and concern, the giant slammed a fist into the building behind the girls. They wrapped their arms around one another, too frightened to do anything much less answer the giant's question.

Kirishima felt he had seen enough and stepped forward. He kept walking only to stop, as he felt his entire body shaking. Nerves and deeply seeded fear rooted Kirishima in his spot. Wide eyed and afraid, the hardening Quirk user simply looked to the ground.

("What… What. Is. WRONG! WITH! ME!")

Kirishima willed himself to look up again, his heart was beating rapidly as he took in the sight of the villain looming over his fellow students.

("Come on Eijiro! Your Dad left you in charge of the house! You're a man dammit! Move! Help them! MOVE DAMMIT!")

It was then Kirishima heard the signs of someone running. His crimson-colored eyes found the source and he couldn't help but do a double take.

She was here.

Sliding to a stop, bag forgotten, was a girl from Kirishima's school. In fact, it was THE girl from Kirishima's school. Her skin was pink and so was her hair. She had small golden horns that peaked from beneath her locks. Rounding off her appearance was her black sclera that complemented her golden colored irises quite well.

Mina Ashido

Quirk: Acid – As the name implies. A corrosive liquid created via the skin. As such, the user has a naturally high resistance to the substance. This of course is not the case when overuse occurs. The liquid is strong enough to melt solid objects.

Once Mina was in front of her friends, she started waving her arms around, drawing the attention of the large man. Once the giant's eyes were upon her, Mina gulped before speaking.

"You're looking for Springer's Hero Office, right?"

She then pointed in a random direction, the fooled giant also glancing in that direction.

"It's that way!" Mina exclaimed with a shaky finger.

For a few moments, the cloaked man blinked before looking down at Mina and her friends. He nodded and with a somewhat genuine tone spoke.

"Why thank you. I have been quite lost for some time. Without your help, I would no doubt would have been lost even further."

With his thanks given, the mysterious giant departed all while muttering words of what he does for his master. The small crowd that had gathered breathed a collective sigh of relief. Some stayed behind to ensure the young girls were ok while others decided it was best to go home.

Now that here friends were safe, Mina chose this time to have an emotional breakdown and started crying. Her friends did the same and wrapped their arms around her. As for Kirishima, he was still rooted in place, watching painfully as Mina cried her eyes out with her friends. The dark-haired boy took a moment to look down at his hands, opening them and closing them simultaneously.

("Why…?")

Without looking up, Kirishima simply sulked off. That whole situation was a bitter pill to swallow. The young man was better off heading home anyway.

Kirishima's House

Emiko had been very concerned when her only child walked through the door earlier. She had already wrapped up cleaning up the house before working on dinner. It was around this time that Eijiro arrived home, albeit a bit later than usual. Judging by his posture and the distraught look on his youthful face, Emiko was worried something had happened.

As a mother, Emiko had to be the rock for her household, which mainly consisted of her and Eijiro. Emiko's husband, Asahi, was involved in a very dangerous line of work that had him on the move constantly. But he made it his utmost priority to not miss out on all the important things, even work demanded his attention.

Asahi was there for his son's birth (and the aftermath that followed).

Asahi was there for his son's first words.

Asahi also played a pivotal role in raising his son as best he could, all while not revealing the full details of his work. So, it was safe to say that since Asahi was there for his son enough of the time, Eijiro always held his father on a pedestal. He practically idolized his father. And somewhere along the way, that adoration and admiration led to Eijiro taking an interest in heroes and hero society.

Which led to Asahi and Emiko agreeing to safely reveal Asahi's line of work when the time was right.

Why is this relevant?

("Something happened to him on his walk home. I know he's a bit shy and an introvert, but his silence worries me.") Emiko pondered.

After dinner had finished, Eijiro wordlessly offered to help clean the dishes but Emiko outright refused. He weakly protested wanting to help but Emiko gently talked him out of it. She asked that he do his homework and that she would be up to talk to him shortly. All Emiko's son could do was sigh and relent to his mother's request. Emiko gave Eijiro a kiss on his forehead before shooing him on his way.

Several minutes later, Emiko knocked and received permission from her son to enter his room. Promptly taking a seat on the bed, Emiko patted the spot down next to her. Eijiro flinched a little before shuffling over and sitting down. The brunette immediately noticed that her son was doing his best to avoid looking at her.

"Eijiro, what happened today?" Emiko asked.

Eijiro snapped his wide eyes to his mother before stammering.

"Oh… I uh…"

Emiko giggled a bit before scooting over and bumping her son's hip. The gesture somewhat calmed Eijiro's nerves.

"It's ok sweetie, you can tell me." Emiko soothed.

Eijiro glanced away for a moment before looking at his mother again. This time he audibly gulped before giving a nod. Before he spoke though, Eijiro took a nice deep breath while gathering his thoughts.

"Well… it happened something like this…" Eijiro began.

Eijiro relayed the events of the day to his mother. Not only that, he told her aspects of his school life that he didn't disclose at home when he usually told her about his day. Emiko sat there with patience, understanding and an open mind. Granted, Emiko was concerned for his son's safety but was relieved when the incident with his classmates was resolved.

Emiko closed her eyes for a few moments to soak everything in. Eijiro on the other hand was a tad nervous as he looked at his mother.

"I see."

Emiko smiled and reached behind her son to rub his back soothingly.

To his surprise, instead of being ridiculed and criticized, Eijiro received understanding. Granted, it was his mother but still he didn't expect the reaction to happen at.

"You were scared Eijiro. It's only natural. That said, you shouldn't blame yourself for not stepping in to help your classmates."

"But that's why I feel so bad!"

Eijiro hunched over and held his head in his hands.

"I was such a scaredy cat… a coward. It was so unmanly of me. I felt like I let you and Dad down. Heck… I let her down too." Eijiro voiced solemnly.

Emiko was sympathetic to Eijiro's plight with regards to teenage interaction. She was also sympathetic because she had seen inaction in the face of danger from someone she knew very well. That said…

"While I would like to talk about your love life later, I believe I have a solution to your problem Eijiro." Emiko stated.

"You do?" the boy asked instantly.

Seeing the hopeful look in her son's eyes, Emiko sighed before a fond smile came to her lips.

("Well honey, looks like I may have to get him started a bit earlier than we planned on. I'm definitely calling you after this. He needs you right now.")

Giving her son a wide smile, Emiko patted Eijiro on the back before standing up.

"Give me one moment."

Emiko promptly exited the room for several moments. Eijiro in the meantime sat on his bed and looked at his hands. Random thoughts came and went. Some thoughts were on his quirk, school, and his budding admiration of Mina Ashido. Other thoughts went to his mom and what exactly she had to help him.

Eijiro didn't have to wait long, as his mother returned with a cardboard box. Emiko went to her knees and opened the box up, revealing its contents to Eijiro, whose eyes widened immediately. Eijiro excitedly joined his mother on the floor and started picking out items. One in particular found its way into his hands. It was a photo of a crimson haired man wearing a muzzle, upper body armor, cargo pants and boots. Looking to his mother, who was smiling in longing and admiration, Eijiro was very curious about what was being revealed to him.

"Whoa… what's this mom?" Eijiro questioned.

Emiko giggled before taking the photo into her hand. The fingertips of her free hand brushed over the corner of the photo where right next to the man's head was a signature.

"The humble beginnings of the manliest hero I know…"

That night, the son of Asahi and Emiko Kirishima learned of the greatness of a hero who went by the name of Crimson Riot. It was also that night that Emiko told her husband that their plan of giving Eijiro more career choices was out of their hands. Both parents wanted Eijiro to be his own man, choose his own path and pursue passions that would make him happy. At this point, all they could do was support him and reveal the truth about Asahi in due time.

Brains and Genius

I-Island

Residence of David and Melissa Shield

Morning

The grand pinnacle of all things science.

That's what most would think when seeing the spectacle that is I-Island.

I-Island is an manmade island located in the pacific where a majority of Quirk-based research takes place. I-Island is also a city and tourist attraction for the outside world. This entire location is one of the most secure places in the entire world due to the sensitive nature of the work that goes on here. Hell, every company of interest whether they were in the hero industry or not poured money into it so to reap the benefits. After all, even the average citizen got some sort of reward from the work of the world's foremost scientists, engineers and medical professionals who took their talents to this location.

So, inside a personal penthouse apartment that had a great view of the ocean and a majority of the island was one of the top minds in the entire world. He stood at 6'1", had messy brown hair, a goatee that covered mainly his chin, and wore a simple white t-shirt with jeans and tennis shoes.

The man had just finished breakfast so he hung his apron before cleaning off his glasses and smiling at his handiwork. Spread out on the table that he could view over the counter, was a spread of bacon, eggs, sausage, French toast, fruit, juice, donuts and pancakes. Complimenting the assortment of food was utensils, plates, sauces and syrups. Nodding in satisfaction, the man looked to the stairs that led to the upper floor of his family's penthouse.

David Shield

Quirk: Squirmy Fingers

"Melissa? It's time to get up honey! Time for breakfast!" David called out.

David only had to wait a few moments for his daughter to slowly make her way downstairs. Wearing a baby blue bathrobe, white t-shirt, pink pajama bottoms with polka dots and white slippers was a blonde teen whose gorgeous hair was right now the definition of bedhead.

Melissa Shield

Quirk: Quirkless

"Morning Dad." Melissa greeted with a yawn.

Smacking her lips, Melissa gave her father a sleepy smile. She then dragged her feet before giving her father a sloppy kiss on the cheek before shuffling over to the table. As the smell of food hit her nostrils, Melissa went from a sleepy haze to alert within seconds. In no time at all, Melissa had already assembled her plates of food and readied her utensils.

"Another project?" David queried with a chuckle.

Melissa simply nodded as she stared wide-eyed at her breakfast. David chuckled again before taking a seat and putting his own plate together. Although he wasn't a religious man, David Shield did believe in a form of higher power. He just took to science because he believed that science helped explain the natural world created by said power. So, since youth, David always made sure to say grace over the food, which Melissa did as well for this occasion and past ones.

Several minutes passed as the father-daughter pair fell into comfortable silence and enjoyed their breakfast. As the meal was coming to a close, David grasped his coffee mug with both hands while looking at his daughter.

"Say Melissa?"

Said daughter hummed while finishing off a piece of bacon.

"I've been thinking about something for a while. Yesterday, I got a phone call from an old friend which helped me reach my decision." David began.

Melissa blinked a few times. She wiped her mouth of crumbs before turning her full attention to her father.

("An old friend? Who is he talking about I wonder…")

Melissa's father had several people she would say were longtime friends of his. Some were colleagues in the world of science and engineering while others had been in the hero industry. There was one individual in particular who had managed to make time for her and her father. Especially since Melissa's mother Rebecca passed away in a tragic accident.

Not wanting to dwell on the past too much, Melissa put her arms on the table and leaned forward, clearly interested in what her father had on his mind that involved her.

"So next year, I was hoping you would consider transferring over into the UA Support Course as part of the wave of exchange students. I already have the papers partially filled out but I wanted your opinion and feelings on the matter."

Melissa's eyes widened in surprise. She enjoyed I-Island and the education it had offered her since birth. Like some of her peers, Melissa was in the top percentile of those who exceeded the curve in terms of intelligence. Like her father, Melissa was a bright, brilliant mind who was far ahead most of her peers when it came to subjects such as Thermodynamics, Trigonometry, Physics and so on.

That said, her social life wasn't all that good as her path as a student.

Closing her eyes, Melissa took a deep breath before releasing it. Opening her eyes, Melissa looked at her father with a serious expression.

"Okay… I'll bite Dad. Why should I consider this?" Melissa asked.

David nodded before looking out the window, viewing part of the island.

"UA is one of the best schools in the entire world and easily the best school in Japan. It also happens to be the Alma Matter of a 'certain someone'." David answered.

That brought a slight smile to Melissa's lips.

"That's true." She agreed.

David himself smiled before looking down into the contents of his half empty mug.

"That and your mother, god rest her soul, considered schools before we had you. Besides the schools in the states, UA and a few international schools made the list, which include I-Island's academy. To be honest, we wanted to send you to a place where you could expand your horizons and enjoy being more than just the daughter of David Shield." David admitted softly.

With a frown, Melissa shifted her chair over closer to her father. She then placed a hand on his forearm which got a sparing glance in response.

"But I love being your daughter dad. What's so wrong about that?"

Letting out a chuckle, David placed his mug to the side before enveloping Melissa's hand with his own. Looking at her with a proud smile, David more than anything wanted to assure his daughter and not allow her to worry about a thing.

"Because every father dreams of the day their son or daughter can surpass them. You are the greatest legacy that I and your mother will leave behind in this world. I want you to forge your own path, out of my shadow and definitely away from those who won't see you for you."

Melissa smiled widely before nearly leaping across the table and engulfing her father in a hug.

"Thanks Dad." Melissa whispered.

Wrapping his arms around her, David peered over at his daughter's face.

"For what honey?" David queried.

Pulling back, Melissa beamed a bright smile. David's heart tugged as his daughter's smile was so much like his late wife.

"Just being there." Melissa replied earnestly.

Both shared a laugh while enjoying the closeness often shared between parent and offspring. When David's wife Rebecca had left the family far too soon, it had been difficult adjusting to life as a widow and single parent. But Melissa's optimism, despite the sadness and social dealings, pressed forward towards a brighter tomorrow. That gave David the strength to move on. For his daughter's sake. And for a better world.

Melissa stood up, taking her dishes with her. David followed suit before both place the dishes in the sink as well as the dishwasher. On her way out of the kitchen, Melissa turned to her father.

"Give me a day or two to think it over and I'll give you an answer."

David chuckled a bit before nodding. He returned his attention to the dishes in his hands that he was cleaning.

"Sounds good."

"You're the best Dad!" Melissa cheered.

David chuckled as his daughter wrapped her arms around his neck and peppered his cheek with kisses. After the last kiss on the cheek, Melissa hurried upstairs with a pep in her step. David continued looking Melissa's direction before turning his gaze back to the island.

("Seize greatness and happiness for yourself Melissa… I have the utmost faith in you to do so.")

With his daughter out of the room, David smiled before continuing to wash the dishes. The famed inventor also needed to tend to the leftovers. He needed to check in on his research team and lab assistant in a bit. The famed inventor was hopeful they ate a light breakfast at the very least.

When Kats Fly High

New York, New York

Evening/Night

Apartment of the Deputy Mayor

In the city that never sleeps, relaxing in her somewhat lavish apartment was the Deputy Mayor.

Since arriving to the city after graduating college, the Deputy Mayor had no issues finding work. Upon landing a minor job at city hall, she worked her way to the very top and her hard work eventually earned her the notice she deserved.

In her short career being employed in local government, the Deputy Mayor made many friends.

["This is April O'Neil with a special news bulletin!"]

As she watched the emergency news broadcast from the comfort of her couch, the Deputy Mayor's brows furrowed in concern and worry. According to the broadcast, the active crime that was occurring was too much for the NYPD to handle at the moment.

Determination set in as she hopped off her couch and went for her purse.

There was a team of elite crime fighters who were always on call and ready to answer the cries of New York's citizens. In the time since their debut, the Deputy Mayor could always count on them to protect the people and stop the bad guys.

After retrieving a specialized device from her purse and getting her phone, the Deputy Mayor made the call…

Underground HQ

In the shadows of a bunker complex, two men with anthropomorphic feline Quirks were dressed in customized tactical gear. When the emergency line rang, the larger of the duo was the one who answered.

"You rang?"

The shorter man looked to his partner, curious as to what crime they would be stopping tonight. It seemed the larger of the pair was vibrating with visible excitement at the information he received.

"High speed chase with some two-bit bank robbers? Say less Miss Briggs, we're on it."

Hanging the phone up, the larger man fetched his helmet along with his partner's. Offering up the headgear, the shorter of the two simply smirked while quirking a brow.

"Looks like it's gonna be a long night Razor."

Razor let out a good-natured chuckle. He bumped his helmet against his partner's before putting it on.

"You said it T-Bone."

T-Bone grinned widely as he placed his helmet on. Once they had all their gear secure, both men raced towards their pride and joy. The fastest jet on the East Coast…

The Turbo Cat.

With T-Bone in the pilot's seat and Razor as the gunner, the Turbo Cat was oriented towards to the exit. With all systems showing green, the jet shot off at high speeds, rolling down the runway before exiting through a junkyard which had served as Razor and T-Bone's cover.

With the Turbo Cat in the air, the criminals of New York City were about to feel the wrath of the SWAT Kats.

Streets of NYC

Sever police cruisers crashed into parked cars as two four-door vehicles were still attempting their getaway.

Within each vehicle were five individuals, wearing turtleneck sweaters, jeans, boots and ski masks. These ten men were a small-time gang who were hoping to earn their criminal wings by knocking off banks. The ringleader of the criminals was mentally patting himself on the back for the well thought out plan and the help of his tech wiz.

The plan was simple, combine use of hacking and a physical presence to disrupt the evening activity of patrons at one of the banks within the city. It was thanks to the ringleader's friend that the security response was delayed as he and his boys made out with over $600K. A damn good score.

Cackling, the ringleader directed his gunmen to keep an eye out for more cops while the driver keep on route to the checkpoint. If they reached the checkpoint that had been previously set, without the all-seeing and nosey eyes of the police, they could switch vehicles, change their clothes and make a clean getaway.

"We're getting closer to the checkpoint boss!" the driver called out.

The ringleader smiled wide. They were almost there.

"Steady as she goes boys! We make it out of this drinks and women on me!" he declared.

Cheers and hollering resounded through the car. At this the driver picked up the pace. Although they were small-time, these men were privy to privileges one would often find being associated with the criminal underworld. One of the men was into girls half his age, barely in their teens. Another was very abusive in the bedroom to where it wasn't even called sex at all. The ringleader of course had little of what would be considered to be a moral compass. He just loved submissive women. He loved breaking them in when given the chance. And he had no qualms in dealing with sex slaves with all sorts of backgrounds.

Just as the cars turned a corner, several men and the ringleader heard the telltale sign of jet engines.

"What the hell is that?" one asked.

The ringleader's brows furrowed as his brain racked over a suitable answer. No way the military would get involved in a bank robbery case that the NYPD struggled to handle. And the cops stuck to helicopters so they were also ruled out. So that only left…

As the ringleader's eyes widened, the car trailing his own was stopped rather violently when a mini missile hit its axle and destroyed a good chunk of the axle. Although mostly unharmed, the occupants of the vehicle were jarred around from the impact and forced into unconsciousness upon stopping.

The ringleader and his men were shocked and horrified. They had just gotten a good size score and their well laid plans were now falling apart. For his part, the ringleader knew damn well who was trying to stop him. Two men, considered nobodies in their debut not too long ago, were now a major threat to crime in New York City. The citizens, the press, the Deputy Mayor and the police had gone to calling them…

"Boss! I think the SWAT Kats are here!" a gunman cried out.

"No shit! Ready your weapons, I ain't going down without a fight!" the ringleader snarled.

Though afraid, all who could hold a weapon did as ordered. For his part, the ringleader went to his pistol, heavy perspiration building under his mask. The sound of a jet engine put the men on edge as they had to divert their path. If they were to make it to the checkpoint and cut their losses, they needed to find cover away from a jet that couldn't pull tight maneuvers around skyscrapers.

As if knowing what they were up to, a motorcycle appeared on the rear, lights bright. The passengers within the car were on the verge of a freakout when they realized that one of those damn Kats were on their tail.

"Shoot the bastard!"

Two guns fired off bullets, hoping to derail the lone warrior trying to take them down. But the way the cycle was designed protected the driver and harmlessly deflected the bullets.

Razor, with the HUD engaged on his helmet's visor, allowed his cycle to tank some more bullets before activating his cycle's offensive capabilities. Toggling through the selected weapon systems, Razor grinned once he saw a personal favorite of his.

"Hey T-Bone! I'm going to try and heard the vehicle towards the water! Be ready!"

Communications allowed for the deep voice of Razor's partner to sound off.

["Copy that Razor. I can take a gander at what you have in mind."]

Snickering to himself, Razor pulled up a map of city. He zoomed in on the section that he and the robbers were located in. They were heading south of the Midtown East section. They were too far eastward so Razor couldn't force the robbers through Nomad and Chelsea to get to Hudson Yards.

("Which leaves Kips Bay as my best bet. That said, the only risk will be the EMTs close to the hospitals. Can't allow for innocent people to get hurt during a chase.")

With a plan in mind, Razor just needed a route. Crunching numbers and doing some visualization in his head, Razor sped the cycle up. Once he got beside the vehicle, Razor made a taunting gesture before speeding up and getting in front of the car.

Inside the car, the ringleader was fuming. He was not going to have weeks of planning flushed down the drain by a hero wannabe.

"That's it! Get ready to ice this bastard! He's not ruining this for me!" he snarled.

Fearing making their leader angry, all who could fire a gun reloaded on ammo. After doing so, they leaned out the windows and started firing on Razor. Smirking to himself, Razor briefly looked over his shoulder before setting his eyes back on the road. With the plotted route on his HUD and the attention of robbers on him, Razor put his plan into motion.

As the robbers fired, the bullets would either harmlessly bounce off the cycle or miss entirely as one half of the SWAT Kats weaved out of the way. The chase would continue on, the chase weaving its way through the city streets. After a few minutes had passed, Razor saw that they were rapidly approaching the end of the route.

With the water coming into view, along with one of the hospital's, Razor boosted the speed on his bike, well exceeding 150 mph. Gaining some distance, Razor found himself right under the underpass before sliding to a stop. Quickly pulling up his HUD, Razor nodded in satisfaction at what he saw. The feline vigilante had noted they had gone along East 23rd Street and with the lack of traffic, this location under the overpass made for the perfect trap.

Revving the engines of his cycle, Razor grinned as he saw the car coming at him like a charging bull. Revving up the engine some more, Razor allowed for the car to get closer…

("Now's my cue!")

"Special delivery T-Bone!" Razor called out.

Hearing the roar of the Turbo Kat, Razor maneuvered his cycle before applying the turbo. Within the car, the criminals screamed for their very lives as they found the vigilante to be suicidal when in reality it was all a part of the plan. As Razor got closer to the vehicle, he activated the Jump Boosters, allowing for his cycle to literally hop over the car. The rear tire barely dragged across the roof of the car before Razor was able to stick the landing and bring his cycle to a stop.

The criminals, ringleader included, continued to scream as the car burst through the railing. They all anticipated being sent to a watery grave but were instead saved by the absent SWAT Kat. The Turbo Kat launched a grappling hook that impaled the roof of the car. As the Turbo Kat gained some altitude away from the water, the robbers felt their world get rocked. Even if the car was secure, they nor their loot weren't.

Bodies pressed together with some of the loot and a few weapons falling out the window, the robbers were now helpless to the ingenuity and tenacity of New York's finest vigilante duo.

Midtown South Precinct

Lieutenant Felina Feral stood shoulder to shoulder with her uncle, Police Commissioner Ulysses Feral while waiting on the rooftop.

They had been tipped off by Deputy Mayor Briggs that the SWAT Kats had apprehended the second vehicle of criminals who had robbed one of the banks around Midtown East and Lenox Hill. The first vehicle had immediately been surrounded by one of NYPD's finest yet cockiest officers in the form of Captain Steel. Of course, that came after 'unwelcome interference' (in the words of the Commissioner) from the vigilante duo known as the SWAT Kats.

Felina, unlike her uncle whom she loved, saw the SWAT Kats as fellow crime fighters and often welcomed their help when the opportunity arose. Of course, she made sure to play along in trying to 'apprehend' the duo but failed every time.

Felina was still fresh into Law Enforcement but she was regarded as a prodigy and true champion of justice for aspiring police officers. It was thanks to Felina, along with some delicate investigative work by the SWAT Kats, that corruption was eliminated from the Special Operations Bureau. Though corruption had always been a constant in the NYPD, Ulysses Feral had been able to root out most of it. He couldn't be blamed for missing some bad apples in some of the Bureaus though.

Sergeant Talon, one of Feral's (Ulysses) best men had brough reinforcements with him in the event they were ready to take the SWAT Kats in along with the robbers.

Crossing his arms and looking visibly disgruntled, Commissioner Feral side-eyed his niece.

"This tip better be good Lieutenant. For your sake if anything."

Felina for her part simply rolled her eyes and placed her hands on her hips.

"Relax Commissioner. The tip is solid, especially if it came from the Deputy Mayor. You know she's been an asset to the force since day one in the city." Felina reminded.

Ulysses glared at his niece hard which was challenged by a simple eyebrow raise.

"Sir! Incoming!"

Before they could even look, a bright light shined onto the roof and sound of an jet engine could be heard. The Turbo Kat arrived, setting itself into VTOL mode before detaching its cargo. Landing on the rooftop was a damaged four door, containing five bank robbers, weapons and some of the money stolen from the bank.

After the drop was performed, the Turbo Kat exited VTOL mode before blasting off into the skies above New York City. The Commissioner growled some obscenities before barking out orders to his men. As Sergeant Talon brought his contingent to secure the suspects and the cargo, Felina brought a hand to brush away some of her hair. She smiled as she watched the Turbo Kat disappear into the night sky and likely another section of the city's airspace.

("You flyboys keep up the good fight… we'll see each other again real soon.")

Chuckling to herself, Felina decided to excuse herself from the activities on the roof of the precinct. As far as she was concerned, her work was done here.

Several minutes later

Apartment of Deputy Mayor Briggs

Calico "Callie" Briggs gazed admiringly at the beautifully crafted jet soaring through the night sky. With a sigh, Callie adjusted her bathrobe before deciding to leave her balcony and go back into her cozy apartment.

"I know I and the citizens of New York can sleep soundly with the SWAT Kats around." Callie said to herself.

A/N: Done!

So, each of these events take place at different time periods (all spanning within the same week really). Just for clarification purposes.

Also for clarification purposes! Hisashi and Masaru were roughly Third Years when they met Inko and Mitsuki respectively. Thus in terms of age, while both ladies are in their mid to late thirties, both men are close to if not already starting their forties.

Adding on to that, we kick off the chapter with sons, the fathers and the mothers of two very important families in the story of My Hero Academia.

Since this is AU, the events of Vigilantes was more or less… altered. Knuckleduster is head of security at Nemo Enterprises via Masaru and Hisashi. Knuckleduster took on Pop Step and the Crawler as partners at the same time. That happened only a year ago. It was during that year the combined vigilante trio, along with a few heroes, were able to rescue Knuck's daughter Tamao (Which hasn't been the first time she has gotten in trouble with villains). Right now, Pop attends school at Ketsubutsu Academy High School while Crawler is at university. In addition to rescuing Tamao, the Vigilantes also aided the heroes in toppling a crime ring and several groups along with it.

Of course, the Vigilantes sometimes cross paths with the heroes and when they're not working for the common good, the Vigilantes are often on the run and disappearing into the night.

Izuku: Age 13

Kazuho: Age 15

Koichi: Age 20

Additionally, I've taken the time to do some research into the story and characters of Vigilantes. As such, certain names will take roles in the story due to their significance. Events and battles that took place may or may not get mentioned.

I would also like to note that there hasn't been any confirmation or evidence presented, other than by fans, when the events of BNHA: Vigilantes took place with respect to the main story.

Next up!

A divergence in canon with regards to a family of Ice and Fire wielders. Do with that what you will. I've already read recent chapters and for the most part, I would like to say I was successful in sticking to the origin of what drove the Todoroki family to become who they are. The only difference is, feelings are a bit more genuine this time around.

Quirk Evolution/Quirk Metamorphosis – A phenomenon in which the Quirk of an individual is altered in a way that produces significant mental, physical and/or emotional change. The phenomenon also results in heightened adaptation to the Quirk user's surroundings. Evolution/Metamorphosis typically results from physical exertion or high stress. Very rarely does the situation ever occur when the individual is in a state of calm.

Following that…

Asahi Kirishima

Pro Hero Alias: Crimson Riot

Quirk: Hardening

Emiko Kirishima

Quirk: Reinforce

Given we don't know much about Kirishima's past other than his passion and motivation for becoming a hero, I decided to mold one for our favorite hardening hero in training. So, I came up with names for both his parents, one of whom happen to be the very hero he wants to be like. That said, Eijiro won't be hearing the truth about Asahi's identity until it comes close time for Eijiro to attend UA.

Emiko has ebony colored hair that is almost always in a short ponytail. Kind of has a round face like Uraraka and has brown eyes. Around the house she typically wears a t-shirt, skirt combination with white socks (stripes included with different color combinations). In all, she has a pretty decent Quirk that goes well with Crimson Riot's Quirk. That and Emiko's the ideal housewife for the most part that does a good job of keeping her boys levelheaded.

While researching BNHA and reading up on the story, I discovered Melissa was apparently a Third-Year student during the Two Heroes Movie. She's going to be part of a group of transfers from America as they go to UA. The group of transfers is diverse, with a select few going to the hero course. You will discover why later on. Melissa of course will be in the Support Course despite being Quirkless. Why? She's practically like Bulma Briefs. In more ways than one…

Anyways, her transfer will ultimately be her saving grace given the events of Two Heroes (Spoilers for those who haven't seen it). That and the Quirkless stigma is still a thing. It's just as bad in America and I-Island as is in Japan.

That little bit at the end of the chapter? Just me being nostalgic. Y'all didn't expect that did you?

What comes next? The start of the BNHA story, which means appearances from heroes such as… someone big, tall, muscular and has golden hair. You know who he is already so yep. He is here.

I also have several cameo appearances in mind, with one resulting in a pairing between a guest star and our favorite R-Rated hero.

You guys as always are patient and amazing. We've been dealing with a brutal cold front, politics (ugh) and of course an ongoing pandemic. I hope this chapter has done something to lift your spirits.

Be sure to read and review, comment and/or criticize… etc.

Until next time!
