Chapter 5

Sona was busy examining her Pawn, upset with how rough that mysterious figure Alastor was with him. More, she was furious about his nonchalant behavior with her and acting as if she was nothing, she would show him. That is if she could do so.

Looking down at her hand she saw it glow green for a second and a seal form on her hand. It was the shape of a microphone. Seeing it, she knew that this was a permanent remind of her contract with him and that he was watching her actions from here on.

Seeing the seal disappear on her hand, she sighed and went back to contemplating how to get back at Naruto and the girls he is with,

At least until she saw a teleportation circle appear. In it she saw her sister in her magical girl outfit but there was no smile or joy.

Just pure rage.

"Sona."

The voice sent shiver down her back,

"Do you know why I'm angry right now?" The younger girl shook her head playing ignorant, "Because you broke a promise to me and went out of your way to attack the teen in question. Didn't I tell you to leave him alone and let Lady Leraje take care of this mess?"
"Yes but-,"

"But nothing!" She growled and ice was forming on the floor and walls. The peerage was shivering at the power and the coldness coming off the usually bubbly woman. "I told you one thing, ONE THING!" Ice was starting to grow around the room and everyone was backing away from the angered Leviathan.

Sona most terrified as she knew that while her sister might not harm her, this was serious if she was here scolding her and losing control of her ice.

A hand touched Serafall's shoulder and she glared at the hand before taking a deep breath and stepping aside as another person entered the room with an interesting individual.

The man had long red hair, green/blue eyes, wearing a black uniform with a red tie and white shirt underneath it. He was very young looking even though Sona knew the man was as old if not older than her sister in terms of the hundreds of years.

Next to him was a woman with silver hair, silver eyes, and was wearing a maid's uniform and she was fairly busty figure to go with it. But the person that really drew her interest was a blue hoodie skeleton that is wearing pink slippers and extremely short.

"Serafall take a breather, your about to turn them into ice if you're not careful."

Serafall glared and puffed her cheeks,

"Sona thinks she can openly defy me like this, while she is my cute little sister, I won't let her arrogance get people killed or make mistakes she can't take back."

"Regardless," Sirzech frowned, "You can't lose control like that understood?"

Serafall glared at him,

"Oh? If this is your sister that we are talking to would you allow me to butt in if I think your either being too soft or too stern?"

Sirzech glared for a fraction of a second but then released a deep sigh,

"No, I wouldn't get mad, maybe a little, but no I know your just trying to keep me from making a massive mistake. Remember we aren't ourselves when our rage goes out of control."

"Sorry to interrupt this," the skeleton closed one of his eyes and smiled, "Would you mind, drag that other girl and her peerage into her so that we can get this done quickly."

"Sure Judge."

"Of course, Judge-sama," Grayfia left the room to get Rias and her peerage. Not noticing Sona freezing at the sight of the skeleton,

"Judge?" Sona could only whisper this information and the man looked at her with a smile on his face but she could sense the power growing inside of him and forming around him.

"That's right little girl, you want to have a bad time?" He held his hand out and she waved at him,

"No, I'm sorry for not recognizing you Judge-sama it is an honor to have you here."

Sans frowned,

"Well, I wish this was under better terms but," he saw Grayfia return with Rias in tow with her peerage looking miffed. "This is not a social visit or me coming to compliment, but to explain how close you are to pissing me off."

"Sona." Rias walked up to her friend, "Who's this?"

Sona smacked Rias on the back of her head getting a glare,

"It is the Judge now pay your respect now!"

Rias realizing who she was talking down to bowed her head and apologized with her peerage doing the same.

"Now then," Sirzech glared at Rias, "Word has gotten to all three of us through numerous sources that you two have been acting out more than usual. Now while I understand teens are teens, this is getting out of line with the deal we made for you two to come to the Human world." He held up one finger, "First you have not been reporting all activity in the area like you are supposed to."

"Brother, I did!"

Sirzech glared,

"Then tell me about the fallen then!" This caused Rias to pale and Sona to look at her in shock,

"You didn't tell him!"

"W-well I thought he would overreact and try to drag me home." Rias found her feet very interesting.

Serafall and Sirzech sighed with the Leviathan explaining,

"Well, you should have told us. As right now, they are a serious threat in the territory and one that we have to address as soon as possible. More so, Azazel has explained they are here to examine a sacred gear, thus easing up some of the tension between us. Now tell me what if you had interfered in their affairs and this led to all of you fighting? Azazel would have a right to demand your head for interfering in his affairs!"

"But-," Sirzech held his hand up preventing Rias from speaking and glared even harder at her with Grayfia sharing the sentiment,

"Regardless of what is going on, regardless of your personal feelings, and regardless of how I would react, you should have reported it the minute it happened. So that is the first strike against you."

Sirzech held up another finger,

"Next I know for a fact that you have drawn the attention of the church given your constant interactions with the Exorcist Origami am I right?"

"Yes." Sona could only growl lightly at the mention of the girl and Rias too frowned hating the little exorcist.

"Then you both know you should have let her be but instead you tried throwing your weight around and get a teen expelled that happened to be her friend." Sirzech could only palm his face, "Do you understand the mess that caused? Right now, the church is concerned with the girl's interactions with both of you that they are sending someone else from their sect to keep an eye on things and if they report more antagonistic action, they might just take this to the Angels and the last thing I need is to deal with Michael or Gabriel."

While he was on friendly terms with the leaders of the factions personally, he knew that politically things were still tense and all it takes is one slip up and this could spiral out of control and lead to another war leading to the destruction of all races.

The teens just stayed silent knowing everything that was said was very true.

Sirzech held up a third finger,

"Next you antagonized a teen by the name of Naruto Leraje on campus constantly since he has been here." He glared more at Sona this time, "Especially when I know that your pawn attacked him on the roof while he is relaxing and trying to avoid conflict and I know for a fact that he threatened both of his friends leading to him beating your pawn to near death." He growled, "What the fuck were you thinking about threatening the teen!?"

Serafall nodded her head,

"He is right Sona, regardless of your personal grudge against him, for whatever reason, it has to end now! That boy is somehow connected to the Leraje family and if it is connected in the way I think he is, there is no doubt in my mind, you are stepping on the toes of Lady Leraje."

This made Rias and Sona frown at the mention of Naruto. Rias had nothing against him other than he was just not easily entranced by her or Akeno which would make it hard for her to win him over. More so, she was sure that the boy had nothing unique about him other than his family name so she was not really looking to bother him without a reason.

Sona on the other hand couldn't stand said teen; he was arrogant, conceited, and more importantly she could swear he was a thug. One that got off on beating those weaker than him and just breaking whatever rule was put in place.

Sirzech saw the wheels turning in Sona's head but Serafall was the one that got close to her sister and motioned her to look.

"Look into my eyes Sona."

She did, and she was terrified.

Nothing but uncontrolled rage and annoyance was racing across her pupils and she could swear she saw some kind of demonic figure hiding behind the shadows of her eyes. But she was sure she was seeing things.

"I'm being serious here," Sona was brought back by this comment, "You are to stay away from the boy; no harassing him, no talking to him, no sending your peerage after him, and no trying to abuse your authority against him. If I find out one, count me one, more incident with this teen no matter how it comes about." She growled, "I will drag you and your peerage back to the Underworld and you can explain this to our parents and see how they like your 'holier than you' attitude you seem to be adopting."

Now this threat, it turned Sona pure white. She couldn't go home and see her parents with this. Both of her parents had warned her about misbehavior of this nature and they would not tolerate it. Serafall would definitely tell them and this would lead to her going through training all over again and at the same time enduring her father's grueling method of punishment; constant sparring.

While she could rest at times and even have some peace of mind in between, they are rare and far in between. Last time he did this was before she left for the human world and she still had some nightmares about this as he was preparing her for a world that is technically neutral territory for all three factions.

She didn't want to go back to that training.

Rias on the other hand was shivering under the gaze of Serafall knowing if she pushed her luck her mother would come for her too and she would be back in the underworld and there HE resided.

"Do you both understand this?"

Both girls nodded their head and Sirzech sighed,

"Finally," He held up his fourth finger, "You have to answer to the Judge Sans for antagonizing Frisk."

The skeleton glowed blue and the room shook,

"He is right. Know I'm not one for long winded speeches but here is the fact: you threaten the daughter of a dear friend of mine. Now I'm going to issue this final warning: Harm or bother Frisk again and I promise," He snapped his fingers and two dragon skulls appeared with white energy gathering in their jaws, "You'll wish you didn't test me."

The girls shivered at the sight of the dragons and nodded their head in fear.

The dragon heads disappeared and he sighed.

"Alright, remember your last warning I'm heading home I have a bottle of ketchup with my name on it." He smiled and was gone in a second leaving Sirzech and Serafall to sweat drop at his nonchalant behavior.

Serafall turned to her sister and saw something glowing on Sona's hand and she quickly walked up,

"What is wrong with your hand?" She flipped it over and saw Alastor's mark and her eyes went wide.

"What are you talking about?" Sona asked, trying to hide the back of her hand. 'Stupid mark.'

Serafall slapped her across the face.

Sona was stunned, her peerage was shocked, Rias and her peerage was left speechless, and Sirzech and Grayfia went to Serafall to make sure she didn't do anything rash.

"Don't you lie to me, Sona Sitri!" Serafall stated as she grabbed Sona's hand and looked at the mark. "What the fuck did you do Sona? Who did you make a contract with!?"

Serafall grabbed Sona by the front of her uniform and growled, "Start talking!"

Naruto's house

Naruto was relaxing on the couch, nursing a black eye that he got from Kurama. Apparently, he noticed the extra gummies and the stick he stole.

Worth it in his mind.

But he was unable to enjoy himself at the moment, he was thinking about Frisk and Origami.

He really hurt them bad and he was not sure how to make it up to them.

Should he call?

Should he text?

Should he wait until tomorrow?

"Fuck." He sat up and quickly picked up his black jacket hoodie and walked to the door, "Kurama I'm going to get some fresh air. I can't think right now. Don't wait up." He slammed the door shut and walked away from the house. If he had looked back, he would have noticed Kurama frowning at him in worry.

Naruto walked down the street and entered the block that had all the restaurants and seeing one stand he saw they were serving Ramen at half-price. Smiling he walked through the door and quickly took a place at the stand.

He looked at the menu and when the chef came by,

"Miso Ramen and a pork Ramen."

"Okay I'll be right back." The man went into the back and Naruto sighed while he heard a small laugh,

"Mighty big appetite huh?"

Turning his head, he looked at his neighbor he didn't notice and saw that he had red hair, green eye, one being covered by an eyepatch, a scarf around his neck, and a black and white stripped coat. The teen had a smile on his face,

"Sorry just noticed the large food order."

Naruto waved him off and faced forward,

"Yeah, well normally I eat more according to my roommate."

"Ah right due to the weed, right? You get the munchies?"

This set Naruto on edge,

'How the fuck?'

"I can tell by the rings under your eyes and the fact you are ordering more food than usual." He said with a light laugh. "Besides, I have seen a lot of people who use drugs, so I got a good eye."

"I don't sleep well and I'm just really hungry as I haven't eaten a lot today."

Normally Naruto didn't have to eat much as he didn't really need to. More so thanks to the weed but whenever he doesn't have for a while his munchies kick in and as long as he eats some form of meat, he should be fine until he smokes.

"Come on." The man smiled, "You don't have to hide it from me. I know you smoke and trust me I don't judge." He smacked Naruto's back and this made him sit up straight and grip his chopsticks so tightly they broke.

"Sorry." He rubbed the back of his head, he handed him his chopsticks and Naruto reluctantly took them. "Look you can be honest with me; I had a friend that smoked quite often and trust me I tried it once." He grimaced, "But that old man stopped me telling me it is frowned on, man the old geezer doesn't know how to have fun."

Naruto looked at the teen in confusion; why was he telling him this?

Part of him thought there was more to him than meets the eyes but hearing that he did try to smoke and that this old man and how he felt about him, he couldn't help but relate a little bit.

"Yeah, the old man that raised me was a right asshole. He threw me out of the house and told me to survive on my own for a little while and then he would reward me when I did."

The teen frowned,

"Damn, sorry to hear man. While the old man is a pain in the ass, he at least does care for me in his own way." He rubbed the side of his face," Although I could do without him kicking me in the head all the damn time."

Naruto laughed,

"Yeah, my friend does the same thing, every time I take more than I'm supposed to he hits me." He points to his black eye that is slowly healing, "So I guess you can tell he is not happy with me today?"

The teen laughed a bit and offered his water drink to him, "Yeah but hey at least we know what it is like huh?"

Naruto smiled a bit and took his own drink order, which he got not too long ago, and clanked glasses with him. Both took a deep gulp of their waters.

"So, tell me," He smiled, "Your old man, you not living with him?"

Naruto snorted.

"Nah, the old man lives out on his own. Haven't seen him in years now probably dead for all I know."

The teen raised an eyebrow,

"Never kept in contact with him?"

"Nope." Naruto gulped down his drink and a waitress filled it back up, "Honestly he was a real asshole and the less I ever have to see him the better off I'll be."

The teen laughed a bit,

"Man, I could be happy not to see the old man myself but honestly I do miss him from time to time."

Naruto smiled slightly,

"I feel the same way about my roommate and my friends, it has been years since I saw them so it is good seeing them."

Naruto frowned, Frisk and Origami.

The teen drank down his water and saw the somber look on his new friend's face.

"What's wrong?"

Naruto took a drink and sighed,

"Honestly I don't know why I'm telling you this, maybe it is me being cleared head or something but I had a fight with my friends."

The teen listened on while getting a refill, when one of the cooks came by, he just pointed at what he wanted. He wrote it down and went into the kitchen,

"They found out about my habit. They even took some of my gummies the night before they found out and well, they said they had a hell of time and their family was not happy with them."

"Ah, so they tried to what? Talk you out of smoking or something?"

Naruto nodded his head, making the teen smirk,

"They aren't wrong to try but I get where you are coming from." He looked at his drink, "When you try to do things to keep the thoughts of the past buried and they try to take away what helps, you can get defensive." He smiled, "You didn't want to get mad but the fact they didn't know the truth about the horrors you faced and them judging it from the outside it is hard." He took a deep drink, "So you ended up yelling at them for it?"

Naruto sighed, his food arriving and taking his chopsticks and digging in,

"Yeah, I did." He slurped down some of his Miso noodles. "As you could guess after I had a chance to calm down, I was not mad anymore and trying to understand their point of view but they ended up having a shitty day themselves you know?" he gulped down some broth and the noodles, "So I feel like it is all my fault you know?"

"Yeah, I get that."

"But the issue now is how do I go about talking to them about it? I mean there is no school tomorrow and I need to try and make it up to them but." He looked down at his food and couldn't help but feel fear welling up inside of himself. "What if they don't' want to talk to me anymore? I mean it is possible right?"

Turning to the teen he saw him thinking it over with one of his hands underneath his chin and pondering it while looking up at the ceiling,

"Well, it is possible but," He smiled, "I think because they did have a shitty day, that means that they do care still and feel just as guilty for not understanding why you need weed." He puts his back, "So why not give them a text and ask if you guys can meet up tomorrow and to tell them how sorry you are in person."

Naruto looked at the teen and sighed,

"Yeah, your right."

Naruto put down his chopsticks and pulled out his phone, flipping through some apps he had open he opened his text. He pushed a few buttons and pulled up Frisk first.

Hey Frisk, look I'm sorry about today. Can we possibly all meet up tomorrow? I would like to make it up to you guys and maybe explain a little? - N

He sent the text and waited before his phone dinged and his heart clenched hoping she didn't just blow him off.

Sure, we can meet up near some of the stores okay? Listen, I know your mad at us for getting into your business and I understand that but we just don't want to see you get hurt. -F

I know Frisk but, look I'll explain more about it tomorrow okay? I promise. - N

Alright. -F

Naruto nodded his head before moving onto the next one which was Origami.

Hey Origami, listen can we meet up tomorrow with Frisk? I wanted to apologize for how I reacted today and explain myself. -N

Sure, but if you are late, I'm going to wring your ear for it got it? - O

Got it. - N

Good see you tomorrow. - O

Naruto closed his phone and sighed, it worked.

"See," The teen smacked his back again, "It all worked out in the end."

"Yeah, I guess you're right." Naruto smiled when he saw the man's food arrived and he quickly dug into his own with a new pair of chopsticks he got. Naruto saw he got the spicy one on the menu and quietly laughed.

Both teens ate their food in peace before their bills were brought to them and before the teen could pay, Naruto slammed the cash down on both of their bills.

"Don't' worry about your bill dude. I owe you for convincing me to talk to the girls and making me feel better. I was in pretty crappy spirits earlier so thanks."

The teen smiled,

"No problem."

Naruto handed the bills to the owner and after receiving his change they both walked out of the restaurant.

"Well, that was good." The teen smiled at Naruto, "Hey want to hang out again sometime in the near future?"

Naruto smiled lightly, wouldn't hurt to now have a guy friend no?

"Sure, why not?" Naruto handed him his phone so he can enter his contacts into it. The teen did and quickly handed it back, Naruto raised an eyebrow,

"Lavi?"

"Yep!" He gave a two-finger salute, "Lavi's my name, never had a last name though."
Naruto laughed at his goofy pose,

"Names Naruto, Naruto Leraje."

The teen smiled,

"Good to know. Well anyway, give me a text when you can, I copied down your number into my phone while I was putting in my contacts."

Naruto raised an eyebrow, when exactly did he have time to look up his number?

"Anyway, catch you around Naruto and next time work on some of your magical concealment okay."

"Sure."

Naruto walked away from the restaurant but the minute he turned the corner it hit him,

'Magic concealment!? I was right!' Running back around the corner he tried to find Lavi but he was gone. He couldn't even track his scent and that annoyed him.

"Who the fuck are you?"

Origami's home

"Origami how could you act so inappropriately today?"

The teen just stared at the floor, she was happy that Naruto reached out to her and wanted to see her soon but was not happy that her mother was ripping into her.

"I mean seriously, you know your stronger than the average student young lady."

"I know."

"You put several of those boys in the hospital and I was told some of them would need surgery to fix their bodily damages."

Origami just scoffed,

"They were being assholes to me-,"

"Language!"

"-to me first."

Griselda just rubbed her forehead,

"Regardless you need to show more restraint or I will pull you from those clubs got it?"

Origami just puffed her cheeks in annoyance,

Griselda sighed and continued,

"Anyway, I can't have you acting like this. Especially since I just got news from the Sect about your position."

Origami sat up straight, if this is about the Sect she needs to know.

"Your commanding officer has just retired and at their request they are putting you in charge of the Sect."

Origami is shocked, she is not even 18 yet she is the one leading one of the strongest exorcists' sectors in the entire Church. This is overwhelming,

"But due to you being the new leader they wanted you to start working with your second in command as soon as possible."

"Who would that be?"

*Knock, Knock*

"Oh, they are here." Griselda got up from the table and opened the door and walked the person in and Origami could only look on in shock,

"Lavi?"

"Hey Origami long time no see!"

"What the heck are you doing here?"

"Well," He rubbed the back of his head in nervous manner, "I wanted to get out of Italy for a little while or at least away from the old man for the time being."

Origami and Griselda just deadpanned,

"You flirted with a nun again, didn't you?"

Lavi started sweating,

"No," He coughed, "Anyway I'm here as your second in command."

Origami raised an eyebrow,

"What about Kulio (OC)?"

Lavi laughed,

"Well funny story about him, turns out the church excommunicated him when it turns out he was part of the church branch that had all those recent allegations against them and was trying to cover them up."

"Oh? You mean the one in Russia?"

"Yeah, that one." He sighed, "So with his excommunication and the church being locked down and cleaned out, I was the next chosen candidate."

"Wait I know there was-,"

"Some turned down the job, others felt they were not right for the job, some were not offered or turned away, and finally two are dead now."

"I see." Origami realized that by chance, Lavi got to this position. While he is strong and very dangerous to his enemies, Lavi was always known as a bit of a wild child and someone that didn't bode well with the teachings of the church at times.

But at this point what could they do?

"Alright then, so Lavi how is your first trip to Japan?"

"Great! Met a new friend and honestly the guy while a downer is pretty cool. I think that I have a special connection you know? Plus, I don't mind that he is a smoker and helping him out with some of his girl trouble as that is the path of brotherhood."

Origami twitched, there is no way.

"Would this person happen to smoke weed?"

"Yeah, how'd you know?"

Origami sighed and palmed,

"Of all the people why did you have to meet him?"

Lavi was confused but then it dawned on him,

"Oh, so he's the one you wanted to-MPH!" Origami put her hands over his mouth and glared at him with her mother raising an eyebrow,

"We swore never to speak about this!"

"About what?"

Origami sweated under her mother's gaze but Lavi removed the hands on her his mouth,

"Oh, she means how much she loves this boy and how she wants to be with him."

Origami sweated more,

"Oh, is that it?"

The teens nodded their head and while Griselda was sure they were lying she wasn't going to pry.

"Alright then." She picked up her purse, "Listen I have to meet up with Dulio to discuss the payments for the damages, you two stay here and talk about your assignments got it?"

"Yes ma'am/Yes mother."

"Good."

When the door shut, Origami sighed and looked at Lavi who sported a confused but serious expression on his face,

"So, your mother doesn't know?"

"No and if you value your balls it will stay that way."

Lavi paled and waved his hands,

"Crystal ma'am!"

"Good. What is this assignment she mentioned?"

Lavi turned serious,

"Apparently Kokabiel is active again and we think that there is about to be a murder in Kuoh."
