After things had calmed down again, Jack had asked about finishing high school for the older teens. "Well I know that ever since I got my powers my grades have slipped because I don't have time for class or homework. So I know I won't be at the top of my class." Danny responded sadly. Now that everyone knew the truth of him being late or missing assignments they were sad they couldn't help before. Jazz had an idea though. "Clockwork, you're the master of time. Is there anyway to take Danny back to the end of year tests for freshman and sophomore year to retake them? I know he knows the information so even if he did a little better on the tests it would help." "Jazz, I don't want to cheat. That's not fair. I'd rather talk to the school or something. Though it would take forever to make-up the two years of school work." Danny responded. "Well Daniel, if you would like I could have yourself and the teacher of your choice come to my home and then you could get all the work of those two years done in about two months." Everyone stared at Clockwork. Then Danny changed in between his forms in shock. "Really, Clockwork? Mr. Lancer could come here and retest me and grade me correctly?" When Clockwork nodded, he hugged the older ghost. "Thank you for this."
Once they finished talking to Clockwork, Danny took them back to the ghost portal. He decided to try to get in contact with Mr. Lancer as soon as he could. He told his parents that he was going to speak to him. Sam and her parents left to speak to her grandmother. Dani decided to wait in Danny's room, unsure of what to do with everyone leaving. Tucker and his parents headed out to get some dinner before heading home. Jazz continued reading her book about ghost obsessions. Jack and Maddie were thinking about everything they had learned today and were sitting in the basement discussing it. "Why do you think he never said anything?" "I think he was afraid. We've spent a lot of time speaking about the molecules of ghosts and such. Once he showed up as Phantom, we started talking about wanting to take him out. Danny was most likely terrified." Maddie responded sadly thinking back over the last two years. "We should speak to all of them soon so we can all be on the same page for everything." Jack decided he didn't want any of the children to be scared to speak to them.
Danny first decided to check the school. He knew that everyone had just gotten back from the North Pole but he also knew that Mr. Lancer was always one to be on top of his classroom, he might be getting ready for the next few weeks when school resumes. He walked through the halls quietly. When he arrived at the classroom, he saw Mr. Lancer sitting at his desk looking at paperwork. "How was he able to keep up through that for two years? He barely passed to get where he was now. To think he was saving the town and we all thought he was being lazy. What on earth happened?" Danny decided to make himself known then. "I ask myself that a lot. I always thought I wanted to be an astronaut. But then when I got my powers and spent so much time saving the town. I realized that it wouldn't work. I just hope I can make it up and show you and my parents that I truly know the material." Mr. Lancer looked surprised. "Hello Danny. I'm surprised to see you hear. Shouldn't you be with your parents?" "I just got done speaking to them now. We had a long talk and we even went to the ghost zone to find some answers that I didn't have. I came to speak to you and take you there to speak to one of my mentors about an idea for getting back on top of my schoolwork. Would you like to come with me?" Mr. Lancer was quiet for a moment. He looked thoughtful about the idea of going to the ghost zone. "Very well, if you have an idea that would help show everyone that you truly know the material, which I'm pretty sure you do I will come with you." They walked back out to Mr. Lancer's car to drive to Danny's house. When they got there, Danny led him down to the lab to the speeder. "This is how we'll get to the mentor of mine in the zone. Mom, Dad are you coming with us?" Danny looked back towards his parents as he asked his question. They nodded and all got in the speeder. This time it took less time to get to Clockworks tower. Danny basically put full speed into the trip.
