Thanks for the reviews and follows! I've edited mistakes in the previous chapter that were flagged up, which was a big help since i missed them in my proof reading. I'm a lot more responsive to comments on AO3 than FFN, but rest assured that even if I don't reply here, I read and appreciate them just as much. Enjoy the chapter - this one's a little short so I'll try making the next one longer if you prefer more lengthy chapters.
Izuku headed towards Mina's room, choosing to enter as he saw the door wide open. What he was met with when he looked to the side was a still glistening Mina with a towel wrapped around her torso. Looking up to see her shameless grinning face, Izuku spun away from her to face the wall.
"Are you insane?" Izuku spluttered out, his face practically steaming.
"Hm? What are you on about?" The girl responded, sounding far too casual for somebody a layer away from nakedness.
"Why would you keep the damn door wide open for anyone to enter while you're basically naked?! Did you melt your brain with all that acid today? Did you hit your head in the shower and lose your common sense?"
Izuku couldn't stop his nervous rambling until he heard her giggle - fucking giggle - in response to his torment.
"What's the matter Izu? You seem a little flustered." She teased, as if she weren't the one in the provocative state. "If I remember correctly, your words last night were 'I'm gonna make you faint the next time I get the chance' right? To me, it looks like you'll have a heart attack before that happens."
'Don't fall into her bait, don't crack under pressure, and for the love of God Izuku, do NOT turn around.'
"I'm not flustered at all. You caught me off guard, so I decided to turn around to preserve your modesty." Izuku replied, trying to make his voice as even as possible.
He heard footsteps approaching, meaning Mina was getting closer to him. A VERY naked Mina was getting closer.
'Shit. If I warp now she'll know I'm running. If I turn to face her I'm a damn pervert. I'm trapped. I deserve this for getting cocky. Kuro please just swallow me into the ground and-'
His thoughts were interrupted as he noticed her towel being thrown onto her bed, followed by two pink hands covering his eyes as his head was pulled back to meet breathing on his ear.
'Are you FUCKING kidding me? Does she have tact? Shame? Anything? She's naked and she's pulling this off just to fluster me? I can't compete - I'm in WAY over my head here. Please Tomura, decay a damn wall and give me a fucking excuse to leave. DaBI BURN SOMETHING-'
"What's the matter I~zu~ku? I can feel you shivering in my hands. Are you cold? I wouldn't mind warning you up~"
'This is the single most humiliating moment in my life. How did I let my guard down like this? Fuck this, if my pride is dying here, it's going out on my terms. If she wants to wrap her hands - NAKED hands - around me I'm-'
His thoughts were interrupted as he felt the hands leave his face and moving to his shoulder, letting his eyes see the light once more. Mina's hands swiftly spun Izuku around to face her, causing all the alarms to blare in his head until he found himself face to face with a fully clothed Mina, with her cheeks puffed out in a poor attempt at concealing laughter. Finally unable to contain it, she doubled over in cackles, her arms clutching at her stomach.
"I-youwere-clothes-." Izuku stopped himself before his stuttering continued, taking deep breaths to regain his composure, waiting until Mina's laughs finally died down to occasional chuckles.
"Why-wait, how in the hell did you do that?" He asked, giving up on any pretence of calmness. At this point, she already reduced him to putty, so what difference would it make?
"While you were turned around. I just took off the towel, put on the clothes literally an arm's length away from me and messed with you a little. You should've seen yourself - you were trembling! I don't think I've laughed that hard in my life! Guess I'll take it easy next time incase your weak little heart gives out in my presence." Mina explained, her expression still lit up in absolute glee.
"If you have this much energy after the training I put you through, I guess you'll have no problem if I double it for tomorrow?" Izuku asked, trying to clutch at whatever reigns he could to regain control.
Instead of paling in fear, Mina simply scoffed. "That's a problem for tomorrow's Mina. Today's Mina is going to enjoy the fact that you got blushing like a cute little school girl. To think Mr-Million-Quirks would be reduced to a shivering mess from the touch of a fully clothed woman."
Izuku sighed, accepting he'd regain no control of the situation.
'Screw it, she won today. I'll take this loss and plan out my next attack while she's high on her victory.'
"Tomura, Dabi, Shoto and Eri are going out to eat, while I'm heading clothes shopping for Eri. It's weird if I go alone shopping for little girl's clothing, mind tagging along?" He requested, choosing to move on from his humiliation. "We've also got to get you some proper clothes, so I'll cover that too."
"I'm happy to come along, but after all you've done for me I'm not sure I can accept your-"
"Trust me - money's the least of our worries. If you don't accept it, I'm burning all your current clothes and filling your room with neon green cheerleading outfits."
Mina sighed in resignation. "Fine, thanks again. I'm ready to go anytime. You?"
"I'm good to go now." Izuku said as he held his hand out for her, which Mina grasped as they reappeared at Kiyashi Ward Shopping Mall.
"I am NEVER taking you shopping again."
Izuku was stalking after Mina, carrying all the clothes she decided to purchase. While it wasn't taxing physically, as a strength quirk took care of that issue, it was humiliating as hell and gave him more pitied looks from civilians than he could count.
Mina stopped walking, turning to face Izuku with a grin on her face. "You're really not on your A-game today, are you? First you teleport into a cloud of toxic gas, then you get shy because of little old me, and now this."
"Have you noticed you're the reason behind all of those situations?"
"The last one definitely isn't my fault - it's yours for not thinking of a way out."
"Oh I've got plenty of ways out. I could teleport you halfway across Japan and enjoy what's left of the day. I could teleport myself and ditch you with all these bags-"
"Or you could teleport the bags and we can enjoy our lovely day together." Mina interjected, leaving Izuku to pale in realisation.
'That settles it - I'm a dunce.' Izuku accepted. 'Do I let her know I didn't think of such a simple solution in the first place? I should just swallow my pride and teleport the shopping away.'
"I've got passed the limit on the amount of times I can warp a day." Izuku lied.
'Here we go. Digging myself into a hole with more lies to save my damn pride. I hate my life. I hope All Might appears and finally ends my bloodline. Me and my stupid mouth have screwed me over again.'
"Oh, sorry about that then." Mina apologised sincerely, her smile dropping. "I can take a few if it's hard to move with them. It's the least I can do after everything you've done for me."
"Don't worry about it, enhancers are saving my ass right now. They're like feathers to me."
"If you say so-"
Mina was interrupted by a shout a few meters away. "Holy shit, is that you Deku? The hell are you doing with acid bitch?"
Izuku froze at the nickname, facing Mina and noticing here similarly stunned state.
"'Almighty asshole with a flashy quirk'? I should've connected the dots sooner." Izuku thought aloud.
"You've got some nerve spewing that shit you quirkless loser." Katsuki sneered, letting pops loose from his hands.
Izuku felt a tug on his sleeve and turned his head to face Mina.
"So I'm guessing you know him?" She inquired.
"Yeah, bastard used to pick on me for being quirkless before mine...manifested."
Katsuki processed the information before smirking and speaking up once more. "Took you long enough nerd - what kind of second rate quirk did you pull out of your ass?"
Once confirming there weren't any other bystanders too close by, Izuku teleported the bags away, much to the shock of the other two.
"The fuck-"
Katsuki didn't manage to finish the sentence, as he was slugged in the nose by Izuku, promptly teleporting him away.
"Shit, where did you sent him?" Mina asked, a little distressed.
"An active volcano halfway across the world. I should've taken his quirk just to seal the deal." He replied nonchalantly.
Mina looked him in even more panic. "You-you just-?"
"Kidding, he's somewhere in Fukuoka puking his guts out. It's on him to find his way home before he gets mugged or something." Izuku interjected, allowing Mina to release her breath. "Now, you wanna grab some food?"
Mina grinned. "Sure, then you can explain how you teleported the bags after you said you 'passed your limit'."
Grabbing Izuku's hand as he tried thinking of a way out, Mina dragged him towards an diner to eat.
"So, how bad did he rough you up at school? He was a bit pushy as a kid, and it looks like he's only gotten worse."
Mina rubbed the back of her head sheepishly. "He couldn't exactly beat me up when I can melt through his skin, but back when I wanted to go to UA and become a hero, he kept driving it home that I should give up, and that they wouldn't accept 'freaks like me'" she explained, sipping her smoothie.
"So he's evolved from a brat to a quirkist shithead. Guess that settles it - his quirk's gone if I have the misfortune of running into him again." Izuku decided.
"Fair, but you don't have to rule him out just yet." Mina bargained. "He might be a massive prick but he'll be strong enough to make it to UA, and they might actually change his attitude. Our middle school has spineless cowards for teachers who never punish him, so there's always a chance."
Izuku sighed, leaning back and resting his head on the seat's backrest. "He's already 15. If you really think he can change then it's up to you. I've let worse people than him keep their quirks after all, but I'm certain he'll be the next Endeavour."
"It doesn't hurt to try. If he doesn't change, you can do whatever." Mina shrugged, before smiling sweetly at Izuku. "Now, what was that business with the bags?"
'Fuck. Not like this Izuku - come on, think of another lie, and make it a good one this time.'
"Just kidding." Mina said with a wink. "You've been through enough for today. I'll let your blood pressure rest."
"Thanks." Izuku breathed out before staring Mina in the eye. "This isn't over though. I'm getting my payback one way or another."
The rest of their dinner was pretty peaceful, with the two engaging in a casual conversation until they finished their food and warped back to the bar.
Upon arrival, Izuku saw Eri at the counter with Kurogiri serving her apple juice, Shoto sleeping on a sofa with Dabi and Tomura nowhere in sight.
"Hey Kuro, where are the other two?"
"Ah. They left Eri and Shoto here before mumbling something about hunting a sorry group of hoodlums."
"Without me? Great - are they at least wearing their gear?" Izuku asked exasperatedly. "I can't have them throwing their quirks around with their faces revealed."
"Don't worry, they warped in to ensure they were fully equipped."
"Well at least they're not complete morons..." Izuku muttered.
Mina approached the sleeping Shoto and poked at his right cheek, receiving a frosted finger as a reward.
"Shit!" Mina cursed, wrapping her other hand around her finger in an attempt to warm it up. "The laziness must run in the family."
Izuku guided a warm ball of flame towards her clasped hands. "You got lucky poking that side - getting a burn would've been a bigger pain in the ass."
"I'll be sure to thank him later for freezing me instead." She replied sarcastically. "I wonder how the other two are doing right now."
"Don't worry, they'll be fine. They could kick anyone's ass." Izuku assured, waving off her concern before pausing.
"Well, mostly anyone."
