Chapter 5

September 6th, 1973

After breakfast that morning, Aurelia had been summoned to Dumbledore's office only to see none other than Nicolas Flamel and his wife present along with Professor Dumbledore. The famous Alchemist introduced himself gleefully. Aurelia had been gentle in shaking the man and woman's hands. She had to wonder if the man and his wife even ate anything because they appeared so fragile. She even wondered how they even got there without getting hurt if they'd disapperated to get there, or worse, used the Floo channels. Those few thoughts had been a scary one for her to think of for these two.

It was then that Professor Dumbledore and Mr. Nicolas Flamel began explaining how they were going to do this. Nicolas Flamel had admitted to having a secret descended from after he and his wife had their own son shortly after marrying. That their son had politely refused the elixir. Sadly, the family line that their son had carried on had sadly perished and come to an end. And surprisingly, their last name happened to become Newman, rather close to Aurelia's maiden name of Newnan. They would simply change Aurelia's 'n' in her last name to an 'm' on the files, since the daughter, who had also sadly perished, had been about Aurelia's age as well.

Shocked and by all means flabbergasted, Aurelia asked them if they were alright with allowing this to be done. It was after all their family they were technically bringing her into. Dumbledore had clarified that he'd spoken with them, simply asking for advice and that they were the ones who had suggested this route.

James and the others laughed around their table outside in the courtyard as they 'studied'. James's studying was him watching Lily, Mary, and Marlene studying with one another, his attention, however, was trained solely on Lily. Laughing here and there with his buddies as they all made jokes and discussed their Pranks they could pull off on the other classmates, even some that they could possibly try on a few teachers. Though, the last bit, they would no doubt have to be incredibly careful about. Playing a prank on a teacher was cutting it rather close to being more than detention worthy.

James suddenly chuckled as Sirius's attention being suddenly grabbed by something, or someone, walking through the ground halls near one of the west courtyards. Curious as to who had gathered his best friends' attention so quickly that he'd ignored Remus asking him a question, even that of Peter snapping his fingers in front of his face and waving a hand curiously. It was like the boy didn't see them.

It was unfortunately a look James understood all too well. Because Lily sturred the same reaction from him. Turning his gaze in the direction Sirius was looking at so intensely, James grinned as he noticed Kathrine and Heather walking with the new girl, Professor Dumbledore's goddaughter. Softly chuckling, James looked back to Sirius's fallen face, the intensity of the look he was watching the girl with, and for some reason, James felt a sudden ache in him for Sirius. That look, it was a look more intense than the one he honestly thought he gave Lily. "Sirius?" James softly called for him with worry. But his friend gave him no acknowledgment.

Sirius felt his breath leaving him as he caught sight of her. Her platinum blonde hair was pulled back at the sides and held back in a blue-ribbon hairclip, her happy smile was wide as she laughed with Kathrine and Heather while they walked through the ground halls near the courtyard. She wasn't the scared, nervous girl hiding in the corner anymore. She was happy, bouncy, and enjoying life at the school. He hadn't heard any of their calls for him. Sirius had looked right through Peter's snapping fingers and waving of his hand in front of his face, ignored Remus tapping his arm and James calling for him to wake up. His heart almost jumped out of his chest when they turned a corner and came their way into the Courtyard. And they were heading right for Lily and the other Gryffindor girls. He watched as if he were in a trance as the Gryffindor girls jumped up from their seats at their table and each girl embraced the other, welcoming Aurelia.

Aurelia smiled with some nervousness as the Gryffindor girls Kathrine and Heather were introducing her to immediately embraced her as they introduced themselves. "Hi, well, I think those have to be the best hugs I've ever had in my life from new people." She admitted honestly. Her words only got her a bunch of giggles and a group hug. She loved the loving attention after coming from such a hostile environment. Even though the people she was raised with cared for her and did treat her, and others there in the Haven, with loving embraces for family and friends, the tension around them never left. Nor did the fear.

"So, you're Professor Dumbledore's Goddaughter?" Lily asked with an excited and giddy smile and a little jump in her stance.

"Yeah, what's it like to have such a powerful Wizard as your godfather?" Marry asked with pure wonder and enthusiasm.

"What happened to your family - Oh, I am so sorry, bad slip of a question." Marlene suddenly said covering her mouth with shock at herself that she'd even ask such a painful question so soon.

Smiling to the now shocked girl and likely feeling bad about asking, Aurelia shook her head with a gentle shrug, "It's okay, yes I am his goddaughter, and yes, it is incredible to know he's as strong as they say, and my family was killed by dark Witches and Wizards. They sent me to Nicolas Flamel, who sent word to my Godfather because they figured Albus could keep me safer if anything ever happened."

"Oh, I'm so sorry," the girls said in unison with sad awe.

Aurelia wanted to wince at their sympathy, but she understood she'd have likely done the same thing to another person had they said a similar thing. But she retained her wince, knowing they simply meant to give condolences. She felt horrible for sort of lying to them. While her family had been killed, the rest was a total lie.

"So, he said you were homeschooled? How exactly does that work?" Lily asked curiously. Honestly, she never heard of homeschooling for Witches and Wizards, had no idea it was even legal. Let alone a practice.

Nodding, Aurelia knew how to answer this one. "Yes, it's not very commonly done but my family wanted me to stay close. A little overprotective, but they meant well."

The girls were in wonder at this, though Heather and Kathrine both nodded, "Yeah, it's true, not very commonly done but some families will occasionally have their child or children homeschooled." Heather explained sadly, knowing that this had occurred with Kathrine's Aunt who'd been married off into the Rosier family. She'd died ten years after giving birth to a little boy. Evan Rosier. Everyone had been told she'd simply fallen ill and perished from the illness, but Kathrine and some others knew the truth, her husband had killed her. Kathrine had only been four years old, being born in late 1959, early December. Kathrine's family hadn't even been told about the funeral. Her husband had said it was safer for the family they not attend and that it had simply been himself and his son to attend the funeral. But when the boy had been asked about the ceremony for his mother, the boy had been fully confused. Five years later his father had gone missing, they'd never found his body and Evan had been taken in by the Malfoy family.

"Really? I never knew families did that honestly." Mary said curiously.

"Not a lot of them do, but… well," Kathrine seemed to seize up, not wanting to possibly offend the girls she did have respect for as well as admired. The last thing she wanted to do was offend them.

Waking up from his daze, Sirius had been reading the girl's lips, something he'd learned to do as a child, plus he had pretty good hearing from listening through the walls during his family's little parties he'd been banned from attending, mostly because he was too young, but also because they did not want to listen to him argue their cruel beliefs. Tapping James's arm with a sigh, Sirius nodded his head towards the girls, "Time to help Prongs." He said with a slightly annoyed sigh before knocking on the stone table to the other two, "Be back boys. Or you can join us, either one is fine." Sirius told them as he quickly approached the gathering of girls after jogging his way to them, "It's not a common practice anymore because only the most annoying of the pure-blood family with sticks up their behinds do it. At least they only do it to the child they intend to marry off to another pure-blooded line." Sirius answered for Kathrine quickly. "Kathrine's family did it to her Aunt, Margert, my family did it to my mother, who married my father when she was sixteen. They do it because they were just raised that way, however, it also keeps that child secluded and away from outside influences. At least that was my mother's family's side of things, her father was particularly cruel, never liked me much."

Nodding sadly, Kathrine sighed, "Majority of the pure-blooded family members are marrying back into family lines they were already previously married into. Like Sirius's mother and my grandmother who was married into the Crouch and Rosier families a few times through the years. We even had a few women who were married to third cousins and back into bloodlines after not having a marriage bound in generations." Kathrine admitted with a slight blush as she explained that. While it was a bit gross to marry your second or third cousin, it was not unpracticed in the Wizarding world at all. Though, sometimes it should have been outlawed, knowing a lot of issues occurred in the children of such marriages. Like human children issues, mental, physical, and chemistry, occurred, which caused further issues down the child's future. Sometimes even fatal outcomes. It was sad.

Many of the girl's brows raised as they looked between the two old friends, "Wait, you're saying that your parents, had the possible intention of marrying you, Kathrine Crouch, to him, Sirius Black?" Marlene asked with a raised brow and grin.

Closing her eyes at a thought she really did not want to think about, Kathrine nodded while Sirius wrapped an arm around her with a wide playful grin and kissed her cheek, "Yep, but we both loved one another far too close as siblings, our parents decided it would be inappropriate. Katherine was always at our home. She was like a sister to me and Reg, and my mother adored her… Until Kathrine said no to the arranged marriage. Which I will always thank her for." Sirius said with a proud smile of adoration at the memory.

"Really?" the girls all asked them, they were all now grinning at the two. They were adorable together. Kathrine laughing and wrapped her arms around Sirius and kissed his cheek in return, "Yes, Sirius Black met his match in many things. Especially his mother's disdain when I told her I would not marry her son, either of them actually… She was not happy. And neither were my parents." Kathrine said laughing.

"Why?" Mary asked curiously.

Now Kathrine was silent as she sighed and hid her face in Sirius's shoulder while the boy began to laugh almost hysterically.

Trying his best not to laugh at how he even knew, Sirius held her to him as she no doubt blushed, "I can't tell you, I'm sorry. I swore I wouldn't say anything about it." Sirius told them, waving them off. Wrapping his arms fully around the now blushing and almost humiliated girl, Sirius kissed the top of her head and whispered something into her ear before stepping away and kissing her hands, "I love you though Kat, but my heart has been captured by another." He teased her, his eyes glancing over to Aurelia who was giggling along with them and the others at how adorable he knew that he and Kathrine were behaving and not paying attention to his eyes drifting to her giggling self. They were also laughing simply because he and Kathrine were being dramatically funny.

Playing into the joke, Kathrin placed a dramatic hand over her heart as if she were hurt, "Oh, I am so struck down by the sudden announcement, whatever shall I do without the wonderful Sirius Black by my side." Kathrine played off. Laughing as she walked back into Heather's arms, the golden blonde-haired girl caught her and laughing hard at how funny they could be sometimes.

Aurelia giggled as she watched them being playful, it was lightning to know they had such spirits, that they were still somewhat innocent. There were no such innocents in her time, hardly any of the children she knew in 2028 had their innocents intact from witnessing deaths and battles at such a young age, watching people leaving and few returning with bodies or none who had been lost brought back for them to bury those they had lost in the fights.

A lock of her mother's hair was all Cho had been able to gather before they fled. Her dear Aunt Cho had been distraught over losing Luna, one of her best friends, that the poor woman had nearly lost herself.

Yet, as Aurelia watched Kathrine and Heather, she began to notice something that she wasn't sure she was seeing correctly, it could have simply been the way Kathrine's 'weak ankles' because she was laughing so hard. But Aurelia could have sworn Kathrine had not only forced that last laugh but that she and Heather were creating an excuse to be in that position, to simply being in contact. Then again, she could have simply been seeing things that weren't true, so she'd keep it to herself.

"Lily!" a boy called from behind the Gryffindor girls, a tall slender boy, black hair and a hook nose came running their way, his smile, however sadly, faded quickly as his eyes danced around the group that was around her before he immediately shrank and slowed his jogging before quickly stepping back from his intended path and turned back towards the school halls to leave.

They had all turned to the boy calling for Lily, but as soon as he'd run the other way and James and Sirius and a few of the girls began to laugh whilst Lily, Kathrine, and Aurelia seemed to be the only one's not laughing as the boy fled.

"Yes, please run away Snivelly." James taunted. He's almost swallowed his tongue in his chuckling as his eyes found both Lily and Aurelia glaring at him. "What?" he asked shrugging.

Huffing at him, Lily rolled her green eyes and turned away from them all to gather her things and took off after the boy, "Severus!" Lily called after him.

Watching James step after Lily, Aurelia moved quickly and blocked his path, "I am going to step on some toes here and say maybe you should not chase the girl this time after the display you just gave that effectively has her running after another." She said, her hand pressed against his chest to stop him. Holding her other hand up to him to stop him from possibly telling her off or to argue with her, Aurelia raised a brow at him. Seeing he was swallowing his pride back and his tongue, she nodded to him in thanks for not trying to argue. "I will go after her and see if everything is okay… Next time, try not to insult someone who is without a doubt a friend of hers, Potter. Sound good? Good." She said with a smile, not letting him speak a word inch wise before looking to Kathrine and Heather who had their mouths covered to hide their amusement, "I will see you both next class." She told them and the two girls nodded their heads to her, their hands slipping from their mouths as they cleared their throats.

"Yes, most definitely," Kathrine said with amusement, attempting to not laugh as she glanced to James, whose head turned to her with a raised brow and a sideways smirk. It wasn't often he was silenced unless it was one of the guys, a teacher, or Lily. But it appeared he could count one more on that list.

Nodding, Aurelia turned and jogged after Lily, hoping she could find them. "Lily?" she called looking around for the girl. With a sigh, Aurelia turned in a small circle around the bustling halls looking for Lily, looking for the girl's red hair like a beacon, but she found neither of them. She was suddenly bumped into and knocked to the stone floor, both occupant's books that had been in their arms slide all across the hall as they both tumbled over one another.

Groaning in some pain at being toppled over while the other person groaned as well at falling face-first into the stone halls, Aurelia shouted with shock and pain as a student's foot connected with the hairline of her forehead.

"Watch it Ravenclaw!" a girl snapped at her with rude disgust, likely the person who was responsible for introducing her shoe to Aurelia's head. As the girl had made her rude remark, other students laughed at them as they walked by rather than helping them.

Their behavior made Aurelia angry at them for their cold displacement of the two students who'd fallen over one another clearly by accident. Looking over to the person as she lifted herself, she noticed it was the boy Lily had chased after. "A-are you alright?" she asked him as he lifted himself as well.

Severus rolled onto his side before lifting himself to look at her. His reaction to her asking if he was alright confused her as he looked at her and was muttering under his breath as he scurried to pick up what she thought was his books until he was setting her books and notebook before her and helping her to her knees when she began to sway.

"H-hey, are – are you okay?" Severus asked.

"Um, y-yeah, I think so." She whispered, her hand pressed to the burning and throbbing pain at her scalp as they rose onto their knees.

"You're bleeding," he said with worry as his cold hands gently grabbed the side of her face.

"I'll be alright, I have experienced worse injuries before. Are you alright though, I'm sorry I tripped you -"

"No, it - it's alright. I wasn't paying attention,"

"Sev!" Lily's voice called as she rushed to them, dropping her side bag to the stone ground and bean to check him over then grabbed Aurelia's face in hands, "What happened?" she demanded.

"Mercy Malcolm kicked her as she and others passed us," Severus told Lily, his tone was soft and full of worry and uncertainty.

"Of course it was Mercy, a cold-hearted crone is what she is," Lily muttered coldly as she looked at the bleeding cut along Aurelia's hairline. Sighing, she grabbed her clean handkerchief and began to clean the blood from her brow and the cut, "We should get you to madam Pomfrey Aurelia, it's just bleeding because it's a head wound, but she should still look at this." Lily told her casually.

Nodding, Aurelia held ahold of Severus' arms as he and Lily both helped her to her feet. She swayed on her feet and her eyes hazed in and out with white spots for a moment. A sudden jolt of confusion and fear at what was going on. There was no way her head had been hit that hard! But her eyes flashed forward, a girl screaming and her blonde hair falling into her face, her whimpering cries echoing in Aurelia's ears as she watched almost as if she were in the girl's trembling body as she was lifted onto her feet and yanked around to a stand-up mirror. Her young face was tear-streaked and full of fear and pain, forced to be shown in a mirror. Her deep emerald silk dress was thankfully still intact. However, she refused to look into the mirror because of the man holding her.

Bane's angry eyes burned with rage as he shook her, "Let her see you, let her see what she had created, let her see what she had caused by leaving me!" Bane shouted, shaking the crying blonde.

Aurelia's eyes burned with tears spilling over, her breathing was raging with panic as she watched, but all the while unknown to her, she was staring into Lily's green eyes. "Nesrin,"

Lily's body chilled with panic as Aurelia spoke a name that was clearly not hers. Her heart seized in her chest as she and Severus watched her sway once more before she collapsed and the two jumped to catch her, thankfully stopping her from hitting her head as the Ravenclaw went down to the stone floors. "Aurelia! Oh, dear Merlin, Aurelia? Aurelia, can you hear me? Sev, wh-what happened?" Lily panicked.

"I-I don't know, fainted?"

"Fainted! She was hardly struck!" Lily snapped, her panic coming around full throttle, "Okay, um, g-go get the others, get a Professor. We need help." Lily told him.

Seeing Severus hustling with a look of fear, James softly chuckled, then he frowned feeling like dragon dung. He didn't truly know why he was so mean to Severus, the boy had never done anything to him really, other than liking Lily. But aside from that, James Potter couldn't quite think of a reason that Severus had given him to be so cruel to him. As he thought of things, Peter had pointed out a gathering of students talking about a girl fainting, or being hurt by a tumble she'd taken. It wasn't long before A first-year Ravenclaw rushed up to Kathrine and Heather in a panic, "Katherine! Aurelia, she's hurt!"

Her stomach knotted and everyone seemed to freeze. "What? What happened? Where is she?"

Sirius felt his heart being hit by an electrical shock that seemed to stop his heartbeat, his head snapping towards the gathering of students, pushing and shoving to get a look at what had happened. He hadn't noticed he'd taken off into a run, shoving through the crow and shouting for them to move out of his way with the others on his heel, following him through the hole he was making for himself. His heart sank when he came to Lily on the floor holding a fainted Aurelia in her arms, checking he pulse, and pressing a handkerchief to the blonde's hairline soaked through in blood. Falling beside Lily, Sirius checked Aurelia's pulse, feeling it strong but rapid, almost as if the girl was in a panic of something, she was paler than he had seen her just minutes ago. Something wasn't right. "What the bloody hell happened?" he snapped.

"I don't know, Mercy clipped the corner of her head when she and Sev stumbled over one another Sev and I got her standing ready to take her to Pomfrey to get the small injury looked at, she took one look at me, paled like she was seeing the devil himself. Then she said a name. She said 'Nesrin' and then she collapsed. I don't know what happened." Lily told him, trying to calm herself from the sudden shock of what had happened. There had been a shimmer in her dark green eyes, a purple shimmer, almost as if her eyes and mind had been spellbound to something, maybe someone.

Not liking this one bit, Sirius looked at Lily and asked a very sensitive question he knew she'd likely be confused over, "She said someone else name? Did her eyes look unusual? For her already unusual green eyes?" He re-asked the question knowing her green eyes were already unusual. But at Lily's scrunching brow of wonder and curiosity of him even knowing that Lily nodded to him as she searched his grey eyes.

"Yes… Sirius, how did you -"

Already worried for the Ravenclaw girl in Lily's arms, Sirius didn't waste any more time, nor give anyone time to ask him why he was asking that kind of question. He had Aurelia swung up into his arms in a blink of their eyes and rushing her through the crowd with annoyed aggravation, "Move!" he shouted. Rushing his way to the hospital wing, he was relieved when Mcgonagall, Pomfrey, Flitwick, and Dumbledor coming their way. "Head wound, but that's not why I'm concerned Professors. Someone has a curse on her. And it's a pretty nasty one. It's a linking curse, connecting her to another and it needs to be broken." Sirius rattled off. His chest was puffing with worry and nearly out of breath from walking quickly and nearly on the other side of the Castle.

Feeling their worry dig deep into them, the Professors nodded, "Mr. Black, take her to the hospital wing with Madam Pomfrey, Flitwick, go with them," Albus spoke to the newest addition of his teaching staff.

Sirius sighed as he paced the common room, his thumbnail gently flicking across his bottom lip with anxiety as he and the others waisted for word on Aurelia's condition. Petter had told them he'd overheard Madam Pomfrey telling the teachers and Dumbledore her head injury was just a little nick that had bled like a natural head wound, it was nothing to worry over. However, when she and Flitwick had checked her for the curse they'd come back stumped.

"Sirius, stop it. You're making me ill watching you pace a hole into the floor." Marry said sickly, her hand pressed against her stomach that turned with worry

"You should take your medicine Mary," Marlene told her with worry.

"I didn't already?" Mary asked with concerned confusion.

Shaking her head softly, Marlene stood and went to their room to the girls' nightstand and brought back her weekly pill bottles, "No, they're still there from after dinner and you hardly touched dinner."

"Oh, that's right, thanks Mars," Mary said, taking that day's pills and accepting the glass of water Peter had graciously handed her. "Thanks, Peter," she said to the light sandy blond-haired boy, who smiled with a soft blush and a nod.

Albus had been forced to contact his dear friend about Aurelia's condition since they were now her emergency contact while at school. And the dear old Alchemist had left the room looking more aged with worry. "The boy was correct Albus, our dear Aurelia has been spellbound by a curse from afar. It is connecting her to another, one who is in pain. Whoever did this curse, knew well what they were doing. If I sever the connection, she could become comatose. And I dare not even attempt to sever this connection. Unfortunately, she shall have to be forced to ride it out." Nicolas told Albus as the elderly man took a bone creaking seat beside the sleeping girl in the hospital bed.

Hearing Nicolas saying that himself had Albus worrying, Madam Pomfrey, and McGonagall even more so. "Ride it out? Until when?" McGonagall asked with a breath of worry as she took a seat, her worried gaze falling upon Flitwick the newest Head of Ravenclaw, resting a comforting hand to the young man's small shoulder. It was his first year there as the head of Ravenclaw and he was having to face something like this. Truthfully none of them, nor their students, should have to face anything like this. But the staff had all been informed of Aurelia's predicament as to be aware of things.

Sighing as he looked at the worrying Witch of Gryffindor house, Nicolas felt his heartache for them, more so for the young girl lying unconscious in the bed, "Until it is over. Or until whoever cast the curse decides to release her. It is too dangerous to break the connection. With her situation, it may be someone from her time who's caused this, and if that is the case," he said taking a breath, "then it is even more so dangerous." Nicolas finished with sad worry as he looked at the young blonde asleep soundly. However, he knew there was no peace where she was. With his weak, trembling hand, Nicolas took hold of her small warm hand and prayed. 'Wake up child, too many children have perished in these hardening times as it is.'

Aurelia cried as she continued to fly through Bane's body, trying to attack him to make him stop harming Nesrin. She had no idea how long she'd been there, under this curse. Feeling Nesrin's pain along with the fifteen-year-old. Bane had already slapped Nesrin's face red and cursed her several times. And while she was grateful he hadn't allowed anything else to happen to Nesrin, nor had he done anything else to the lovely young teenager, Aurelia couldn't help but fear the girl being violated or tortured in any other manners. She hadn't deserved any of it, Nesrin was a sweet, harmless girl unless provoked, but she had a gentle and caring soul deep in her. Aurelia felt responsible for the girl's pain, she felt responsible for the deaths of the Haven members, of Louie, Hermione, Draco, and Mr. Dursely. Having enough of hearing Nesrin's painful screams, the pain her friend, her cousin, and sister was being put through, Aurelia began begging Bane to stop. To release Nesrin. "Please!" she screamed, falling to her knees in a desperate and defeated manner as she wept. Her cousin's screams ripped into every fiber of her heart, her soul. "Please, stop hurting her... She's done nothing."

"You left me! Fled from me, as if I were a Plague on the winds!" Bane roared with anger, heaving with heavy, painful breaths as his eyes burned with hot tears he knew he'd never cried, not even as a child had he cried. This was an entirely new feeling for him, and he was frightened of it. Fear was another thing he was unknown to experiencing. "I will not rest until I have you in arms reach! You left her. The girl you love so dearly, the girl whom you loved as a sister. You left us!" He continued, tossing Nesrin across the large dark green marble floors.

Panicking at his words, his clear determination, Aurora "I have done nothing to bring about this behavior from you! I belong to no one! Neither does Nes! Let her go! You murdered everyone! How is this my fault!" Aurelia screamed back to him. As thirteen and fifteen-year-old girls, they shouldn't have to face anything like this.

His green eyes watering from the pain of not having her there in their born time, Bane reached his scared hand out to her, his hand going through her face, attempting to smooth his knuckles over her cheek. The absence was painful. "I know where you are, Aurora. And I will be coming for you. And you'll never see me coming. Unfortunately, your cousin won't be so lucky to see daylight such as the past has." He told her in a whispered tone before carefully bringing his hand down over her face as if he were closing her eyes to sleep.

She gasped awake, sitting upright with fight from her sleeping statues, gasping for breath and in a cold sweat of dread, looking around the dimly lit wing. She noticed the area she was in happened to be the Hospital Wing. Rubbing her hands over her face, trying to rub away the screaming cry Nesrin had given with a screech of horror when she had vanished, her scream lodged in her throat. But even now, being awake, she was trying to swallow her scream as she began to cry heavily, her hands clamped over her mouth to keep her from screaming. But she had let loose the scream she had been trying her best to swallow when the bed jumped under the weight of a body and the warm hands grabbed her arms firmly. But the grey eyes that seared into her green eyes had her crying loudly, relieved it wasn't Bane.

They had decided to keep their eyes on her, staying near her when they could. For some reason, they had all seemed put off by what exactly had happened, and to their finding, there was no 'Nesrin' connected to her name. There weren't even records of Aurelia's birth with the Ministry of Magic according to Alastor Moody, a fourth-year Hufflepuff. Alastor's parents and family were renowned Aurors, and the young boy had every intention of being an Aurora himself one day. They'd all begun to worry further for her after Lily had come been overheard telling Marlene, Mary, Heather, and Kathrine that Aurelia apparently spoke in her sleep. Saying the name 'Bane', being this person to release this 'Nesrin' girl. She appeared to be able to feel the girl's pain, likely being tortured.

Sirius had fallen asleep under the separated bed while working on homework then doodling. Sirius had fallen asleep after the long hours of trying to hid from Madam Pomfrey with the use of James' invisible cloak he was so happy his friend had continued to bring to school. It had gotten them out of so much trouble over the first two years at Hogwarts that likely could have resulted in the boys being expelled rather than detention. Hearing Aurelia suddenly gasp awake, Sirius had shot up from his sleeping place under her bed, knowing no one really looked under the beds, least of all noticed anything after a certain hour, and James's cloak definitely helped him remain undetected. However, Sirius had almost smacked his head on the wires holding the mattress as he sat up before he caught himself with relief, glad he was saving himself from headache, and rolled from under the bed. Standing from the floor and noticed her emotional fears.

With her eyes clenched closed and her face red with forcing back her loud cries and the possible scream, she wished to release. Sirius sat on the bed, grabbing her arms as she began to tremble, her cries echoing through her hands. Though he'd nearly jumped from her when she gasped and released the scream she had been trying so hard to keep in that it had startled Sirius, causing him to release her and held his hands back towards his own body to let her see he was no harm to her, their eyes searched one another's. Sirius saw the terrors playing out in her eyes, the loneliness, the pain, and the losses of loved ones. But most of all, he saw the pleading screams in her eyes for the need of safety, the need of comfort. "Okay, 'relia. It-it's just me. It's just Sirius." He whispered calmly to her. Careful to not make any real sudden movement as to not make her freak out if she was still jumping between her cursed dream and now. He noticed the clothing she was dressed in, her arms bare of any cover other than the dark blue tank top she was dressed in for comfort. He'd seen Kathring bringing comfortable clothing for her, that being the very tanktop she was dress in and black sweatpants and socks.

With her lungs straining to breathe and her tears rolling down her cheeks, Aurelia looked into Sirirus's grey eyes, making sure they were not Bane's green eyes. His dark brown hair was thick and pulled back in a mess of a ponytail, but on him, it looked completely normal, wild. Seeing it wasn't Bane and relieved, yet remorseful for Nesrin, Aurelia reached out for Sirius, her trembling hand ghosting over his face to make sure he was real, that he wasn't an illusion or a trick by Bane, or a Death Eater that could have found her there in the past as Bane's words echoed terror in her mind. She began to weep, her hands dropped from his smooth face to his chest, gripping his shirt, and held onto him tightly, relieved he was real and mourning Nesrin. She had no idea what Bane would do to her. Leaning into him as she wept, she curled further into him as she felt his arms slowly wrapping around her and pulling her tightly into his hold, his hand gently rubbing her bare arm as he comforted her, confused as to what exactly had her like this. "It's alright, you're safe…"

Feeling safe and warm in his arms, Aurelia clung to his shirt, to him as he told her she was safe, "You promise?" she whispered fearfully into his white button-down shirt, his tie was long removed and the first two buttons were undone for some leisure from the strict dress code. She wished she could believe him, and somewhere deep in her, she did. But with Bane's promise to come for her, she wasn't sure if she could believe him. She was beginning to believe there was no safe place for her. But right here, in his warm embrace, she felt a sliver of peace, of warmth and hope.

Sighing softly, Sirius resting his chin atop her head as he pulled her closer to him, if it was even possible. "I promise… I have you love. No one will harm you, not while I'm here." He whispered into her soft blonde hair.

Sept. 10th, 1973

A cold and stern clear of someone's throat sturred him from his deep slumber. The morning light blinding his waking eyes as he opened his grey eyes to see who was disturbing his peace and wonderful sleep. With a weight against his arm and chest, Sirius almost panicked when he felt a soft breath puff out against his neck and chest at the last undone button of his untidy shirt. Blinking awake, Sirius watched the fuzzy blur to unblur then blanched at the crossed arms and stern look of disapproval of Professor McGonagall standing over the bed he slept in. It was only then he realized he'd fallen right back asleep in the Hospital wing. In a bed… With a pretty little platinum blonde tucked tightly in his arms and pressed blissfully against him, his lips almost in skin contact with the junction of his throat and chest. "Oh shit," he whispered, mostly to himself. But the raised brow the Professor gave him told him he was just digging himself f a deeper hole.

It only seemed to get worse when a group of girls walked in for Madam Pomfrey's medical and healing class she was hosting and they'd been walking past the very bed he laid in with Aurelia still sound asleep and cuddle closely to him.

The brunette's eyes lit up with glee and pulled out the latest Wizarding Camera with a gasped smile, took a quick snap of them, and rushed out with the group of girls giggling. Closing his eyes with despair, Sirius groaned and let his head fall back into the pillow and rubbed his waking eyes with annoyance at what the hell had just happened. "Fantastic," he grumbled.

McGonagall, while irritated, angry, and disappointed at the scene she had found in the Hospital wing, when she'd come to check on Aurelia, huffed and puffed with aggravation as she turned and chased after the young fifth year of Ravenclaw and apart of Hogwarts Newspaper and Journalist group. "Margaret Skeeter! You come back here right this moment with that camera young lady!"

Hearing McGonagall screaming for someone, Aurelia gasped as she awake with a start. Feeling a hand calmly resting against her arm and eased her back into the mattress, she looked up to the warm body she was pressed flush against and found the charming and laughing dark-haired boy that had reassured her she was safe. "What's so funny?" she asked him, confused at his groaning laughter. She wasn't sure if it was pain or amusement he was groaning and laughing about as he wrapped her back up into his arms and cuddled his face into her hair. The action had her blushing.

"I am so sorry love," he told her with pained laughter. "Skeeter got a picture of us, and McGonagall is most definitely not happy."

Raising a brow of confusion, Aurelia looked around the now empty area of the wing, "Skeeter? Who is that?"

Sighing, Sirius sat up, releasing her from his embrace, and stretched his limbs from their laxness. "Margaret Skeeter, younger sister to the journalist Rita Skeeter. The girl is just as terrible at stirring trouble… She's a part of Hogwarts Newspaper and Journalist group here. And she got a photo of us… In this bed…. You still asleep and McGonagall glaring down at us… Well, mostly me, but still. Looks like the school will have something fisty to talk about this year. Again, I am so sorry." He told her, looking at the high sun, and sighed once again, this time with more annoyance. "Damn… Classes. Well, come on love. Lets' get going, get your uniform on… Or we can skip classes and uh, go somewhere -"

"Sirius Black you playboy pervert," Aurelia scolded him with a blush tenting her cheeks as she threw the covers off her and stood from the bed, grabbed her folded uniform, and walked to an enclosed room to dress after she'd found the needed showering items in the small bathing room there in the Hospital wing and walked out ten minutes later, her damp hair pulled back into a messy bun, and dressed for class. Looking up from her arms as she rolled her sleeves up midway to her elbow and blushed deeply once again as she found Sirius Black buttoned-up, Gryffindor tie almost in place, his shirt tucked in, and his previously messy hair was fixed into a man bun type for his shaggy length hair, his sleeves rolled up past his elbows and resting back into the bed she had just left, his feet crossed over one another at the ankles, his arms crossed over his chest as he grinned at her with a charm that almost made her feel naked. "What?"

Softly chuckling at her adorable behavior, Sirius shook his head as he looked up to her face, his eyes searing into her deep green eyes. "Nothin', come on love. We're already late for first period."
