Off To Brooklyn New York
Once the horses were loaded into the trailer, the Pine Hollow students got into the van with Max, Elizabeth, and Red.
"Hey, Lisa, want to play a game?" Simon asked.
"Sure, Simon," Lisa replied. "let's play a good game of I Spy."
Lisa and Simon played I Spy the entire trip to Brooklyn.
Back in Fort Greene, Lenni was eating a bowl of alphabet soup.
The message RALLY J appeared in Lenni's soup.
"Dad! I have to go to Jamal's for a few minutes!" Lenni called.
"Finish your lunch first, Bips." Max said sternly.
"Okay, Dad." Lenni said, sitting back down.
A few minutes later, the rest of the Ghostwriter team met at Jamal's house.
"Why'd you call this rally anyway, Jamal?" Lenni asked.
"Guess where we get to go when we visit our pen pals?" Jamal asked the team.
"Don't leave us in suspense, Jamal," Alex pleaded. "where are our Willow Creek pen pals staying while they're in Brooklyn?"
"Mister Regnery has reserved rooms for his mother, one of his other instructors, his riding school students, as well as himself at the elegant Steadmore Hotel, they are boarding their horses at a stable just outside of Brooklyn called Riverbend Stable." Jamal answered Alex.
"According to my letters from Phil, he attends Pine Hollow for Saturday riding lessons," Gaby said. "but he is loyal to his family's pony club, Cross County."
Over at the Steadmore Hotel, Lisa, Stevie, and Carole were in Lisa's bedroom in their suite.
Stevie and Carole were helping Lisa unpack her belongings.
Carole saw Lisa pulling out her diary.
