House of Threats:

Nina was already on her way back to the house and Fabian ran behind her and tried to catch up with her. Fabian kept calling Nina's name and eventually Nina stopped walking.

"What's the matter with you?" Asked Fabian.

"Nothing," said Nina.

"Why aren't you happy that I deciphered the hieroglyphs?" Asked Fabian

"I'm happy that you deciphered the hieroglyphs," said Nina.

"Really? I mean you used to give me a hug of joy whenever I solved something," said Fabian.

"I already told you that I'm very happy for you," said Nina.

"But why do you act like this?" Asked Fabian.

"Never mind. I didn't sleep very well last night and we had a long day in school, so I'm just too tired to hug you," said Nina.

"Are you sure that's it?" Asked Fabian

Nina didn't answer and walked on to the house. Fabian didn't move and didn't know what to say and few seconds later he also started to walk again.

When Fabian also arrived at the house, all the residents were in the hall.

"What is going on?" Asked Fabian.

"No idea. Victor said we need to wait here, until we're all here, "said Aaron.

"Why?" Asked Fabian.

"He didn't say that, said Aaron.

Victor walked down the stairs

"Hand over your bags, mandatory bag search, said Victor.

"Oh no not again," complained Otis.

"Why do we've to?" Asked Caitlin.

"Because I said do," said Victor

"This is ridiculous. I refuse to cooperate with this," said Patricia.

"Patricia Williamson, if you don't hand in that bag very quickly then you have a big problem," said Victor.

"Patricia don't make such a big thing about is," said Mara.

"Well I'm. This whole bag search is ridiculous, I should sue you for this, for violation of our privacy," said Patricia

"Bag," said Victor.

Patricia handed over her bag with great difficulty and so did the other residents. Victor took all the bags upstairs to his office.

The club went to Nina and Amber's room and the rest of the residents did something else.

"Another ridiculous bag search," said Patricia.

"You've got that right. What does he think he will find in our bags," said Alfie.

"Fabian please don't tell me the manuscript is in your bag?" Asked Nina.

"Don't worry it's safely stowed under my mattress," said Fabian.

"Victor knows something, He's more determent than ever to find something," said Nina.

"Yes, but what does he know?" Asked Amber.

"No idea, but be more careful," said Nina.

"Even more careful than before?" Asked Amber.

"Yes, we've to watch what we say in the house, we never know if Victor is eavesdropping on us," said Nina.

The club agreed with Nina.

A few hours later and it was dinner time, all the residents were sitting at the table and eating.

"Otis can you pass me the water?" Asked Jerome.

"Of course, milady," joked Otis, while he passed Jerome the water.

Everyone except Jerome laughed.

"Come on mate it's just a joke," said Otis.

"Very funny," said Jerome sarcastically.

"Jerome why didn't you ever tell us you got a little sister?" Asked Mara.

"Because I don't want everyone to know she exists and today you saw why," said Jerome.

"Isn't that a little mean, you're talking about your little sister?" Asked Fiona.

"She's mean herself too, so no," said Jerome.

"Why would your sister hide? I mean everyone here knows I've a twin sister, but she goes to a different school," said Patricia.

"Yes, I've a younger brother and he is in a wheelchair and you all know that," said Fabian.

"But they're not here at school so you don't deal with them every day," said Jerome.

"I go to school with my own sister and we even live in the same house," said Aaron.

Jerome was reluctant to talk about his sister and the residents continued to eat. Moments later, Victor entered the living room with the bags and put them down. Victor left the living room and returned to his office. After dinner, the residents packed their bags and went to their rooms.

A few hours later and everyone was in bed. Patricia, Mara and Joy were still awake. Mara had told Patricia and Joy about Mick.

"And now Mick is going to move to Australia to go to that school?" Asked Joy.

"No, he's not going. He wants to stay with me," said Mara.

"Wow that's romantic," said Joy.

"Yeah, it kinda is," said Mara.

"But don't you look so happy about is," said Patricia.

"What do you mean?" Asked Mara.

"You seem kinda upset that Mick isn't going," said Patricia.

"Why do you think that?" Asked Mara.

"Well maybe because that school suits him better than this one and you feel like you're holding him back," said Patricia.

"I love Mick and I wanna be with him and he wants to be with me," said Mara.

"Yes, but I also know that you love so much to know what's best for him and you're afraid of the answer," said Patricia

"You don't understand anything about relationships or love, you've never had a boyfriend," said Mara.

"Okay, that was kinda uncalled for," said Patricia.

"I'm sorry Patricia, I didn't mean it like that," said Mara.

"I know that. Just like you know I'm right," said Patricia.

Nothing more was said and the three girls went to sleep. Mara thought about what Patricia said and she knew Patricia was right.

The next day. The Anubis residents had their breakfast and were at school. While the residents were in class, Victor was at school and went to see Mr. Sweet. Victor entered Mr. Sweet's office.

"Ah Victor how good to see you my friend, said Mr. Sweet.

"No time for pleasantries Eric, I'm here on business, said Victor.

"What is it?" Asked Mr. Sweet.

"I think we should officially disband our society," said Victor.

"But our society is already no longer active," said Mr. Sweet

"I know that. But we never did disband officially," said Victor.

"Shouldn't do that with all old members?" Asked Mr. Sweet.

"No we don't have to, we both know that the two of us were the real leaders," said Victor.

"If it is really necessary," said Mr. Sweet.

"It is necessary Eric, the Cup of Ankh is no more and there is no longer a goal for us," said Victor.

"You're right Victor," said Mr. Sweet.

"I'll make preparations for tomorrow," said Victor.

"Tomorrow? Why so soon?" Asked Mr. Sweet.

"Because then it's done and no longer an issue," said Victor.

"And our friendship?" Asked Mr. Sweet.

Victor did not answer and walked out of the office and returned to the house.

The Anubis residents had a free period. Fabian and Aaron were outside and playing table tennis.

"Hey Aaron do you know what's going on with Nina?" Asked Fabian.

"What do you mean?" Asked Aaron.

"She acts so different," said Fabian.

"How does she act then?" Asked Aaron.

"She acts so weird and so distant from me. She didn't used to be like that, before we ...," said Fabian, not able to finish his sentence.

"Before you two kissed," said Aaron.

"Yes. I just should never have kissed her. I just get a pain in my stomach when I think back about it," said Fabian.

"Was the kiss that bad?" Asked Aaron.

"The kiss was amazing, but I just don't know how to act when I'm around her," said Fabian.

"Fabian, you're in love," said Aaron.

"In love?" Asked Fabian.

"Yes, you are in love with Nina," said Aaron.

"Aaron, love is nothing more than hormones and neurotransmitters. Emotional and Primitive Events. A lot of endorphins mixed with dopamine, oxytocin and other natural vitamins, nothing more," said Fabian.

"Fabian let me tell you something you can't explain love with science," said Aaron.

"I'm talking about biochemistry," said Fabian.

"Whatever. Maybe you should approach love a little less scientifically or whatever it is what you just said. You've to let your feelings speak," said Aaron.

"Let my feelings speak?" Asked Fabian.

"Yeah, Show that you're not from some another planet," said Aaron.

Fabian and Aaron continued playing table tennis and Fabian thought about what Aaron just said.

A few hours later and it was lunch time. Mick and Mara were together in the drama room. Mara had made a tough decision after yesterday's conversation.

"Mick I gotta tell you something important," said Mara.

"What is it?" Asked Mick.

"I think you should go to Australia," said Mara.

"But I said I wasn't going," said Mick

"You said didn't want go for me. But that's not right. I know want you wanna go to that school," said Mara.

"I want to be with you," said Mick

"I know and I want to be with you. But Mick this school provides so many opportunities for you it would be selfish of me if I don't let you take the opportunities," said Mara.

"So you really think I should go then?" Asked Mick.

"Yeah, I think you should do it," said Mara.

"And what about us?" Asked Mick.

"I love you and you love me. Our love is strong enough for this," said Mara.

"If you really want me to this," said Mick

"Call your dad and tell him you'll go," said Mara.

Mick and Mara said nothing more and were silent the rest of lunch time.

School was over and the residents were back at the house and a few hours later they were having diner. At one point during diner Trudy entered the living room with a big smile on her face.

"Hey Trudy, why are you so happy?" Asked Amber.

"Because I'm getting my own garden," said Trudy.

"What do you mean?" Asked Caitlin.

"As you know, Anubis house also has its own garden, which is not part of the school," said Trudy.

"Yeah, but it doesn't even look like a proper garden or a garden at all," said Alfie.

"I know that and that is why Victor allows me to maintain it and I can decide for myself what is going to be planted," said Trudy.

"How nice for you Trudy," said Nina.

"So go tomorrow to tidy up the garden a bit and I could use some help," said Trudy.

"But tomorrow is Saturday," complained Alfie.

"I know that. So I've all day and so do you," said Trudy.

"Do we have to help?" Asked Alfie.

"No, only those who want too," said Trudy.

"'ll help you Trudy," said Fiona.

"Me too," said Caitlin.

"Thank you Fiona and Caitlin, that's very sweet of you," said Trudy.

"The weather is going to be nice tomorrow, so I'll help you too Trudy," said Joy.

"Thank you Joy," said Trudy.

"I can ask my father if we can borrow some of his gardening tools," said Caitlin.

"That would be very nice," said Trudy.

"I'll help too," said Otis.

Everyone looked surprised at Otis that he offered to help

"What? I'm going to mow the lawn. Plus they need a strong man," said Otis.

"Yes and instead they get you," joked Patricia

Everyone laughed at Patricia's comment, except Otis threw some food at Patricia. Patricia wanted to throw something back, but Trudy stopped her and everyone continued to eat.

After dinner Jerome was in his room. Jerome was sitting on his bed watching a movie on his laptop, suddenly he saw someone wanted to chat with.

Anonymous: Hello Jerome,

J-Meister: Who is this?

Anonymous: Not important. You're gonna do something for me.

J-Meister: And why would I do anything for you? I do not know you?

Suddenly, pictures of Poppy and her room appeared.

Anonymous: If you don't do what I say, your sister's roommate will have a new roommate.

J-Meister: Is this a joke? Because if this is a joke, it ain't funny.

Anonymous: No joke, if you care about your sister then you do what I say.

J-Meister: I do what you say. But don't hurt Poppy.

Anonymous: Good.

J-Meister: What do you want from me?

Anonymous: I want the Cup of Ankh and you are going to deliver it to me.

J-Meister: But I don't know where it is.

Anonymous: Then you find out. I'll talk to you tomorrow at 7:30 PM.

The anonymous person disappeared from the chat and Jerome was scared, he had to find the Ankh, but had no idea how? What should he do now.

In the meantime, the club had gathered in Nina and Amber's room, because Fabian had discovered something new.

"Okay Fabian, tell me what you found out," said Patricia.

"The Cup of Ankh can be opened," said Fabian.

"Wait what?" Asked Amber.

"Yes, the way to find the secret wall is when we open the Ankh," said Fabian.

"Okay let's do it," said Aaron.

"But there is one more thing that can happen when we open the Ankh," said Fabian.

"What else can happen?" Asked Nina.

"If we open the Ankh, we may also release a curse," said Fabian.

The club looked at Fabian in shock. The club will open the Ankh to find the secret wall and with the chance that a curse will be released or will they not open the Ankh.
