"Ojousama! Hurry up we'll be late!" school is about to begin, and of course it starts with me having trouble getting Ojousama out of the house. I hopped onto the bicycle along with a half asleep girl behind me and off we go, to Hakuo Academy.

Thankfully, we arrived 10 minutes before the bell rang and rushed our way to the classroom. "All right! Good Morning students, please settle down and take your seats" Yukiji sensei greeted us and for some miraculous reason she isn't drunk today. "We will have a new student joining us, for some reason his enrollment got delayed but insisted on joining the school year in the middle of it. I expect you to treat him kindly and help him around"

The doors slid open and a figure appeared, entering the room, a boy with black hair walked in, the room was filled with whispers and gasps. Pale skin and yellow golden eyes, no wonder why everyone is so interested in him. "Good morning, my name is Kaito Tanaka, I am Japanese-American, pleased to meet you" he bowed politely. If I didn't know any better I'd immediately think he's a son of a multi-billionaire. I tapped Ojousama's shoulders in front of me and whispered if she knows the new student, to which she didn't respond, as expected she couldn't care less and fell asleep on the first period of class.

"Now that introductions are done, please find a free seat you can take"

He started approaching, only few seats were left untaken and he unexpectedly took the one beside me.

"Is this seat taken?" the way he asked that simple question seemed very heavy, I was surprised and stuttered a bit.

"Oh, uhm n-no it's not" taking a good close look at him, he surely looks young, maybe a little bit older than Ojousama.

After hours of classes the bell rang which means it's time for lunch break.

"Let's go, Hayate"

"Coming Ojousama!"

We went to our usual table where we began eating lunch when the three idiots decided to join us,

"Wahh what did you made for lunch this time, Hayata-kun?" "Ooh this looks delicious!" "Did you brought some for us?"

Risa,Miki, and Izumi began interfering our supposedly peaceful lunch

"Hold on, don't you guys have your own food?"

"Of course we do! It's just that yours are better"

"By the way, it's quite questionable that the new student decided to enroll midway the school year" said Risa

"And he looks a little young too, I heard he skipped grades" added Miki

"Darn it! we have another smart one, then that means it will push our ranks even lower!"

"That's why you better study hard enough to higher your grades!" I shouted at them

The three idiots eventually left after a while and "thankfully" didn't steal our lunch.

"There's still 30 minutes left for lunch break Ojousama, what do you want to do?" I waited for her response and to my surprise, She wanted something unexpected.

"Strawberry milk"

"Strawberry milk?"

"Yes, I want to drink strawberry milk"

"I'll do my best to find some"

"Don't take too long!" and with that, I rushed my way to the cafeteria.

I waited for Hayate to come back, 5 mins passed, 10 then 15. "He really is taking so long, if he couldn't find any then he should just return back" Out of my frustration, I dropped my pencil and it rolled on the ground, as I am waiting for Hayate, I'm working on my manga to kill some time. I was about to stand up and get it when an unknown figure picked it up.

"I believe this is yours?" I didn't bother to look at the person's face and just took the pencil,

"Oh yes, thank you"

"You draw?"

"I-It's nothing!" Because I got flustered, I accidentally dropped my manuscripts and he happened to pick one up, he gave it a quick glance and realized what it was,

"Oh, so you draw manga"

"Give me that!" I hurriedly grabbed the paper from his hands,

"Your drawings are actually quite good, though from the quick look I had from it your dialogue needs a little work" I was confused for a second,

"You know about manga?"

"Technically I don't draw manga but I do write stories.. from time to time" there was a silent pause, I gave a look at his face and then I recognized him, He's that new student

"Well, class is about to start, if you need some writing advice I'd be glad to help, my name is Kaito Tanaka by the way" he politely bowed then left,

I stared at the pencil in my hand,

Kaito..Tanaka.. for some reason his name sounds familiar to me.

"Ojousama! I've bought the strawberry milk you wanted!" I turned around to see an exhausted and panting Hayate,

"Hayate, what took you so long? And why are you so out of breath?"

"Well the cafeteria was out of milk so I had to go to the closest grocery store and buy it from there, and because I was hurrying since I didn't want us to be late for class, I wasn't looking at where I was going and almost got run over by a truck, but I managed to survive"

"O..K, you know you could've just went back if there wasn't any"

I took the milk carton from Hayate and drank it as he cleans up our lunch boxes. We then went to class just in time before the bell rang.

"Listen up! Before we end today I'll be announcing this week's assignment"

Yukiji-sensei explained our tasks for about 15 minutes,

"And to make things interesting, you'll be working with a pair"

The whole class was filled with mix emotions, some were happy and some weren't glad to be working with someone else.

"Will we be picking our partners, Sensei?" a student asked,

"Of course not! To make it even more interesting I'll be randomly picking pairs from paper"

The whole class whined and others are already praying to be paired with someone smart. We all wrote our names on pieces of paper and waited to be called out. Nothing will go wrong,right?

"Ayasaki Hayate, and Segawa Izumi"

"Hayata-kun! We'll be working together!"

I take that back, out of all the students in our class, I got paired up with one of the stupid ones.

Yukiji continued to call out the names of the students,

"Alright the last pair is.. Sanzenin Nagi and Tanaka Kaito, Deadline will be on Friday. Now that's over, I'll be going on ahead drinking — I-I mean score your test papers" The final bell rang and the students began packing their things, leaving the classroom.

"Will you be ok working with a pair Ojousama?" I asked her as we ride the bicycle home

"I'll just do what I always do during group assignments, let my partner do all the work and be absent the whole week"

"That's too mean! Plus, he's a new student so at least be kind to him during his 1st week at school"

"Hmph! I won't be kind to someone who looks at other people's stuff"

"You've already talked to one another?" I asked confusedly

"Never mind that, it wasn't much of a conversation anyway"

We arrived home and I began my duties by starting on making dinner.

"Dinner was delicious,Hayate!"

"I'm glad you like it"

"How was school?" Maria asked

"It was great! we had a new student who came in today" I replied

"A new student? What's their name?"

"Kaito Tanaka" Ojousama abruptly replied, Maria suddenly stopped slicing her piece of meat and looked at Ojousama,

"If that name sounds familiar to you, then that goes for the both of us"
