When a foreign King sends a diplomat offering his daughter's hand in marriage and requesting aid against an aggressive king Tatsumi accepts not knowing what would happen as a result. 5. Chapter 5

Chapter 5: The Hedonist and the Pirate

Nagisa Castle, Saryuu three day later… Moegi took a good look at the bastion that had held its own against about five failed sieges on the part of two of Zuou's lesser generals; one of whom had put out of action permanently by a severe injury that paralyzed his legs, to Moegi's keen eyes she noted that Nagisa castle was not a castle it was a fortified citadel of the kind had five layers of defense each overlooking the other to allow archers to pick off any enemies that managed to capture the layer bellow, the tenshu at the top of the citadel and a large statue of their patron deity the god of stone Gurshu added about another 30 feet to the impressively sized castle. "Well, isn't this the fifth largest castle I've ever taken" Moegi remarked to those near at hand.

"General we haven't taken the castle yet" an officer from the previous sieging force commented, she and her entourage looked at him and laughed as did virtually every one of the Hungry Wolves in earshot.

"I'm aware of that, but I will be taking it, I've taken bigger ones the question is will they do so willingly, or will they make it harder for themselves, if they make it harder well- I pity them if I'm honest they have to face both the most beautiful and brilliant general in the isles and the most elite army around" Moegi commented.

"Elite pah! General your troops aren't Samurai they are mostly Ashigaru they know nothing of the word Elite" General Kobiyachi the previous siege leader remarked he was one of the older generals from under Zuou's father and didn't like the newer generation of Zuou's Ten Stars considering that they were all within the age group of Zuou himself and had fought alongside him during his time as mercenary in the Eastern Kingdoms before his father's death: Zuou's father Kenshin had sent Zuou off when he was of age to prove himself in the wider world and earn his keep as a leader during a peaceful time; the old aristocrat believed in time honored traditions and didn't like the reforms Zuou was making to the military he believed it would lead to the end of the Samurai class.

"Shove it up your ass Kobiyachi or I'll cut yours off halfway then you'll have to get used to having one butt-check and the nickname half-ass" Moegi replied, the old general began to draw his sword, Moegi frowned.

"Please I have reach advantage, I'm younger then you and smarter then you, not mention way hotter, a better fighter and faster than you; now you heard Shogun Zuou's orders get your ass and those of all your limp-dicks out of my siege camp and back to Tenrou; if you want to fight me I'll follow thru on my promise and if you continue to be an ass I'll launch from a catapult" Moegi explained gripping her Naginata with both hands and moving it to the ready position; the old General looked at her then at the Meihou in her hands and considered the words she had said and despite the slight to his honor and his status in society she had him and he sheathed his blade and took his man and stormed off. A beautiful blue-green haired woman with jade eyes clad in an extremely ornate set of Samurai Armor looked at Moegi with a grin.

"I love it when you call the old farts limp-dicks Moegi: it never ceases to be amusing, let's be honest he probably is but I have no intention of finding out too old and too repulsive am I right?" the woman commented.

"You likely are Sayumi, very likely, anyway we need to draw up a battle plan the old fart as you put it left maps behind and the place has been scouted so we'll just need to decide how to take the castle" Moegi replied.

"Why not just rush in right now?" Sayumi replied.

"As much as I love rushing into danger I prefer to do so with a plan besides the better planned the attack the less of our wonderful hunks we lose and the more we get from the castle" Moegi replied then turned to another woman, a black haired girl with silver eyes and her hair in two large circular buns on either side of her head and with white and blue warpaint over her face in the style of a Noh mask; this was Nami her lieutenant General and aide to camp who also was her siege expert. "It's time for the planning stages assemble my cabinet and meet me in the war tent we'll plan out our strike and then we'll take this castle" Moegi ordered and her subordinate saluted and went off to find the other three members of Moegi's cabinet of Generals while Moegi and Sayumi went to find the main planning tent.

Shortly… Moegi took a good look at the castle layout and noted the design was rather impressive, it has almost no blind spots no areas where a force could avoid the missile fire of Soukai's infamous bowmen or mount effective siege ladders. However it did have a blind spot and that spot where the Archers in the towers and the walls couldn't shoot at was in between southeast and eastern sides of the Citadel and interesting enough there was also what Moegi thought was a massive oversight on the architect's part: the wall in question was one continuous wall all the way to the top level of the citadel it was outlined by the previous general but he had written it off by the fact no siege ladder could be built tall enough for the job and any siege tower would be noticed a mile off. "Here we'll climb the wall here" Moegi explained to her subordinates.

"Alright: but how according to the notes no ladder could be made tall enough for the job nor could a Siege tower without it being seen" Sayumi commented.

"We won't use either a ladder or a tower, at least we won't need to we'll only need an elite team of about twenty soldiers give or take to scale it and open the east gates from the master switch tower" Moegi explained, the gates of Saryuu's castles were made with a network of tumbler locks that could be opened either at the gate or from a master switch tower near the Tenshu of the castle: the only problem with that system would be if an enemy somehow managed to get inside that top layer and get to that tower they could in theory open every gate in the castle at the same time by throwing all the switches: it was something that really hadn't ever been done in a reliable fashion as in order to pull such a maneuver off you needed to get to the top level without being spotted and by bypassing all the practical entrances in fact what was needed was to scale a twenty story wall that was shaped in a way to make ladders harder to use if you could use them at all and you'd need back up to hold the enemy out of the tower long enough to allow your army into the castle and this was not an easy feat to accomplish due to the engineering of the castle designs which made the odds very low.

Unfortunately for those inside Moegi had done something like this before on about ten other occasions that required her and some of her troops to scale some rather tall structure or natural barrier, she had a set of special tools for the occasion, scaling-claws of the kind favored by the Ninja of Kuriaya's armies that could allow a person to climb a wall effectively. "What about sapping the wall" One of the generals a blonde grey eyed busty beauty named Tsukuyomi asked.

"That would take too long, we are on a time crunch we need to end this castle's resistance quick and then get to Soukai before the Empire's full invasion force arrives which means we either take it by storm, get them to surrender or bypass it altogether ignoring Zuou-kun's orders the last of which isn't happening as I don't want to be bogged down traveling back to Tenrou and allow our captives a chance to escape as we take this castle" Moegi replied.

"Speaking of shouldn't you ask them to do that? Perhaps having heard of you they'll surrender" Another woman a long black haired priestess with glasses wearing a white and red Sohai warrior monk armor set commented.

"You are right Chigusa we should give my reputation a chance: in case that fails though I want everyone else readying our troops: Matsuri you and Nami prepare our pinning forces for battle inform them they are to hold back and wait until a signal is given, Sayumi you go and find our best climbers and get our best pairs of climbing claws 20 for my men, I'll jump up there" Moegi ordered, everyone blushed at the mention of Moegi jumping that distance which wasn't out of her ability, for a normal human no one could jump twenty stories but with the Apex Ability of her Meihou Moegi could do just that (AN: an Apex Ability is a Meihou's equivalent to Teigu's Trump Card) or rather it speed Moegi up so fast that time slowed around her to allow her for a time to defy gravity and jump that high.

Moegi then saw to getting the tradition flag of parlay the cherry blossom on a blue background and approached the walls, the enemy archers noted that flag but Moegi also instructed that her army's personal standard that of a Ying-Yang symbol on a purple background was also brought up: the banner of the Hungry Wolves was known far and wide, the symbol reflected Moegi's personal quest of balance that for every life she took new life needed to brought into the world by any means necessary to replace it in her eyes, which meant that during the collection of 'spoils of war' blood shed was strictly forbidden save in self-defense and to make up for any lives lost Moegi had her troops sow their seed or fill their wombs with it after the battles in mass orgies: however this only happened if an enemy resisted there was a way out, either by surrendering or by outlasting Moegi in either battle or bed, nobody had outlasted her in either so far and she was intent on keeping that record intact.

As they approached the wall on horseback a young man in easily a lord's armor set came to the lower wall accompanied by a number of veteran samurai in what was dubbed as Nanban style armor, it was a fusion of foreign armor techniques with traditional Wakokuan armor work, this was a catch all term and could apply to any armor with any foreign nation's style of armor combined with it, the sets in question were Porto-Nanban Armor with a cuirass breastplate combined with the traditional armor and the helmet in a burgonet style rather than the traditional Kuboto helmet which was widely worn throughout the islands, this particular armor type was made after encountering and trading with the South-western Kingdom of Portozil where the locals had arrived in the era of pike and shot and where the locals also brought with them a strange god and firearms, the Kingdom of Saryuu didn't adopt the firearms however as they believed their bows to be the superior weapon after it was shown that while the weapon was powerful it took too long to reload, they had however adopted a different weapon the Alabarta better known as a halberd due to the functionality of the weapon and how it could be used to deal with enemy yari lines by using the axe head to remove the tip of the pike.

The lord of the castle looked at Moegi and she looked back at him, Moegi took a breath to clear her throat and looked the commander in the eye. "Attention Lord of Nagisa castle: I am Ten Star General Moegi of his grand excellency Grand Shogun Zuou's military and the best of Tenrou's military; you are outnumbered about 3 to one by my Hungry Wolves: the best of Wakoku's armies, my reputation no doubt proceeds me. Up until now my Shogun has regarded your castle as a nuisance but considering the fact you've beaten back five sieges, put one general out of action and disgraced another and killed about 20,000 of our people my lord has given me his best of his Ten Stars the task of taking your castle. Now I'm not leaving until it's taken but I'm going offer you all an out: as you know my Hungry Wolves and I tend to give no tolerance for resistance examples always need to be made; however if you surrender now I'll spare your lives, not collect spoils of war or give this place a huge sack or let my wolves and myself loose on your people: this is my only offer, continue to resist and- well you'll learn quickly why we my army is called the Hungry Wolves and why I am the most renowned, feared and best general in all the isles: surrender now and your lives will spared don't surrender and well let's just say that it will be very unpleasant for you: defiance will be punished, compliance will be rewarded: consider my offer carefully I won't give it again and I will be taking this castle one way or another" Moegi declared, there was muttering amongst the defenders with a few Samurai looking at their lord and down below in fear, the common foot soldiers were noticeable afraid; finally their young lord a handsome man by Moegi's views with dark black hair and brown eyes.

The lord looked down at her with disdain and disregard. "I Daimyo Hiro Ishizawa will not surrender my castle not when it has withstood siege after siege, not when I have beaten back every army: you think I'll surrender just because Zuou sends his bitch and her pack of ravening dogs to my hold: HA! We'll see you break on our walls like water upon the shore, we'll not surrender and I the last of my clan will defy Tenrou to the end of this war or my life you won't break me or break my home Bitch! Yeah that's what you are you're a bitch to Zuou now if you've got any brains in that dim skull withdraw and if not well you'll be dead before this is over" The lord replied, Moegi's generals and soldiers looked at him with shock and then at Moegi who was no longer smiling and was noticeably angry.

"You slime! Nobody calls me a Bitch! Nobody calls my valiant Wolves dogs! I'll look forward to beating you and I will take you and break you; nobody gets away with saying what you just did, many lords have chosen as you have, the poets may one day write a sad line about their fate but for you who have addressed me in such a defiant and disgraceful manner you'll have no such privilege you will be forgotten! Prepare yourself for your end: the Hungry Wolves will feast in your halls and any of you that resists will be broken, shattered and your bones ground to dust! That I promise! You may as well try resisting it won't do you any good" Moegi responded her face contorted with rage, some the of more cowardly defenders threw themselves from the walls to their deaths after that declaration: Moegi noted that. "You're best off following their example; resistance of me is foolish" Moegi replied, Daimyo Ishizawa gave her the bird and Moegi returned the gesture before turning with her retainers to return to the camp: those inside the castle had sealed their doom; what would follow was a battle that would not go the defender's way and the aftermath would scar Saryuu for the rest of the war and for generations to come; Nagisa Castle would be remembered as an example to defiance and why one didn't defy Moegi.

That night the vigilant sentries were jarred by the noise off the army as trained wargs howled into large horns; this was an unnerving sound added too by a cacophony of music and loud sounds of all manner of noise. This noise was added to by troops surrounding the castle: at a signal Moegi's commanders launched the first of faint attacks, these were meant to distract the enemy from the real threat. At the one blind spot of the tower Moegi and an elite team of 20 armored ninjas approached the wall; Moegi ordered them to begin climbing then stepped back and started running declaring a word in the Tenrou language "Homuda!" and she jumped because time had slowed around her gravity was being flaunted as she practically leapt and flew up to top of the wall landing genteelly and without so much as twisting an ankle she then darted killing five unwary sentries before time returned to normal: Moegi quickly and ruthlessly dispatched all sentries on the immediate area by surprise, her Naginata cutting thru fully armored Samurai like they were made of paper, by the time her Ninjas reached the top they found Moegi waiting for them with a number of dead bodies nearby, then they stormed the tower and pulled every lever breaking them so they couldn't be changed, at this Moegi's troops stormed into the castle.

The Hungry Wolves charged thru the gates with all the speed of wolf pack, not allowing the defenders time to form defensive lines as they hadn't expected the gates to be opened, they swarmed the defenders like a wolf pack does unprotected herd of sheep, the defenders exhausted by sieges and unprepared for the elite troops broke with those who surrendered being knocked out, those who resisted were slaughtered, Moegi rushed into the Tenshu and pulled Lord Ishizawa out of his bed having cut down his retainers that had attempted to stop her and carried him over her back as her Muscle Militia carried his concubines off too, soon everything was over and the battle degenerated into the sacking.

Shortly… Moegi kissed the stripped Hiro Ishizawa having disrobed herself. "How!?" he asked incredulously.

"I'm the best: I warned you, now either you make this easy or I take you myself; doesn't matter I'll have your cock in my pussy either way; you are about to experience something that many men before you have and- well you may just die of joy" Moegi replied kissing him capturing her lips, nearby Ishizawa noticed her subordinates doing similar things to his Hatamoto and to his shock two of her generals were having their way with his concubines; and he could see out in the courtyard thru a window her troops ravaging his castle's inhabitants.

"But I'm a virgin!" he protested.

"Well on the brightside you won't die one" Moegi commented wickedly then had her way with him; he didn't resist just endured it; Moegi was gentle at first then became rough and forceful; this went on for at least an hour until he blacked out Moegi noticed this. "Limp dick, though he was pretty endowed" Moegi replied then noted he still had a pulse she then turned to a few of her muscle militia who had undressed but there were a couple of her Hatamoto that were still clothed notably Chigusa who had finished with her spoils. "He's still alive take him away and send him back to Tenrou, I'll let the Shogun decide his fate" Moegi ordered.

"Yes Moegi-Sama I'll take care of it immediately any other orders?" Chigusa asked.

"Send the Children to Tenrou too we'll see the pups raised right, oh and if any my wolves so much as touched one or a woman with one, have them flayed alive I'm not going to have any Kyoukotsu wannabes in my army: tomorrow when everyone is rested we'll raze the castle so that the enemy can't reoccupy it and march south to Soukai; I've got an Emperor to meet" Moegi ordered then turned to her soldiers. "I'm still full of energy; Muscle Militia tend to your matron" Moegi ordered and smirked as the smiling men came over to her naked and ready for what came next as Chigusa carried off the defeated and drained former lord of Nagisa Castle for shipment back to Tenrou.

The following day in Soukai…. Tatsumi received a phone call from Saryana; bad news, the invasion force would take another week to get to Soukai due to bad weather; three typhoons had formed and were in the middle of the main ocean path to Wakoku, very large ones and strong at that three category 4 storms; even modern Imperial Battleships dare not challenge nature's wrath and with that in mind Saryana had been forced north to harbor in Nova Atlantea for the time being until the storms weren't in the path anymore; Najenda noted that his invasion troops were becoming restless and had ordered shore leave for three days. So Tatsumi had to sit and relax and was currently having tea with Rinzu and in his head planning out the day the ahead.

"You know its awkward only having a fraction of what I can bring to bear on the continent at my disposal, I take a look at the forces we have at the moment and remember the army I assembled to defeat Volgoth and take Melitine and note its small and humble by comparison" Tatsumi remarked to Rinzu.

"How big was that army?" Rinzu asked.

"The largest I think the world has ever seen, hundreds of millions Rinzu, and they were needed against the demontide of countless demons" Tatsumi explained then looked at Rinzu. "Did the demons invade Soukai?" Tatsumi asked, Rinzu smiled.

"Nope: they were too busy fighting Tenrou and Muramase to bother with us which is a shame I'd have loved to fight demons" Rinzu replied, Tatsumi frowned.

"Trust me Rinzu, you don't; I've fought demons and know full well what they can do: most of the scars I bare came from those monsters: the worst of my scars I'll add, they are an enemy that you can't kill because even if you slay their twisted bodies they'll come back, they always do and what they could do in battle its- horrifying, I saw two of my friends ruthlessly killed by Volgoth when they misinterpreted an order Esdeath gave and charged him on their own they thought they could handle them and they were both Rakshasas I'll add so the best the Empire has to offer and they both were killed by Volgoth as if they were grunts, trust me Rinzu the demons are an enemy you should be grateful for not having to fight them as they are something you don't understand I do and I hope never to have to fight their kind again" Tatsumi replied.

"I'm sorry, you're right I speak of things that I don't fully understand; its just- the greatest war Eden ever had, and I didn't get to take part in it; it's hard for me as a warrior one of the best in my kingdom to have missed out on that war" Rinzu replied.

"Be grateful you did Rinzu, be grateful that Soukai was spared the horrors the demons inflicted on Eden, that you don't bear the scars that I do or had to endure the trauma I did to have watched your people suffer and die in battle against those monsters or losing people you considered dear friends to them; Rinzu its painful for me to even think of those memories" Tatsumi replied but then changed the subject. "You know the issue I have is a manpower one; I think I should have brought more ships with my own and more troops too, call me pessimistic but I don't think the 40,000 I brought with me are enough even with the Imperator to defend Soukai from all angles which I need to do first off they are more than capable of stopping any serious invasion but any serious invasion is going to be able to pull what Kyoukotsu did and cut a path as it stands, but secondly I need allies here and support, I'm glad that Soukai's people are willing to fight for me but they shouldn't have to, your people have fought long and hard and deserve at least for a time a break from doing that especially since we need to train them in the use of our new weapons which will cut down losses on our side massively, I brought a good amount of them in order to minimize the loses because every veteran enemy that dies before he can reach you is one that won't be killing people who aren't on par with them" Tatsumi explained.

"Well if you're looking for allies I think it's best to start with those closest to Soukai, Saryuu is an option but they aren't geographically the closet to us; those would be the Pirates of Wako Island, their Queen Saiha always knows how to drive a hard bargain but has helped us against Tenrou before for the right price; but I don't think that you would have trouble getting her on your side" Rinzu replied, Tatsumi smiled yes the pirates had been mentioned before and to be honest he'd have no issues working with them, afterall Saryana had once been a pirate but then so had Enshin, the thing was that if Soukai had found them an ally in the past then there was nothing stopping him from hiring them as privateers.

"Alright I'll see what we can do: I'll send a ship with offers and if they want to make a deal and talk with me in person I'll head there myself" Tatsumi replied.

"Glad to hear it, now we need to see to more training; I want to be able to take an active part in battle, last fight I didn't get to do anything because the enemy was killed before the lines even got a chance to clash" Rinzu replied.

"I hope we can have more battles like that one we didn't lose anyone in that battle; but I know that's optimistic, alright Rinzu I'll teach you things I've learned just so you know some of my techniques aren't going to be taught because they require special training that I don't have the means to offer at the moment, so I'll hold those out because of those requirements but I will teach you how to handle every weapon I know Rinzu; you'll join with my Hatamoto during these sessions; we'll have a good amount of time before any real attacks happen and I'll eagerly use some of that time to train you and the others" Tatsumi explained.

"And the rest of the time?" Rinzu asked.

"I want to spend that with my kids, with my wives and learning everything I can about Wakoku in addition to touring Soukai and Wako when the pirates join me" Tatsumi answered, Rinzu smiled and Tatsumi kissed her. As if on mention of children the door opened and Tatsumi's adopted daughter Kyoko walked in carrying her 1 year and nine-month old; it had been a year since Tatsumi had adopted Kyoko and her sister Mishi, the two were war orphans and Kyoko was a survivor of one of the war's worst monsters: however she had not survived that encounter unscarred, she had been molested by a monster and left for dead; Tatsumi had saved her life and that of her younger sister Mishi however the consequences of what that monster had done to Kyoko left her pregnant and resulted in a child, a girl, whom she had named Hope because Tatsumi had given her that and more; the young brown haired girl was now 15 and a half, her eyes were green and she looked enough like Tatsumi to have been his biological child, she wore the dress of an Imperial princess which in this case was a red kimono made for a girl of her height which was about 5'10 and felt soft against her developing figure which was defined by the effects of the child pregnancy she had endured.

"Daddy; Mommy told me to come and see you, I need some help" Kyoko explained, in this case she was referring to Esdeath who dotted the most on the two adopted children, Tatsumi came over to her followed by Rinzu who hadn't yet met her as she had been on the ship and only came ashore after the marriage contract was finalized, during that time she had spent time getting to know Tatsumi personally and had spent a few hours talking with him, this had taken a good amount of time and from then on she only really managed to socialize with three others those being Aria, Esdeath and Leone before having to retire after a banquet.

"Hi" Rinzu greeted, Kyoko looked at her and smiled.

"Hello, I'm Kyoko and you must be daddy's new wife Rinzu, mommy told me you're very special and that daddy married you to keep you safe from a bad man" Kyoko greeted, Rinzu nodded.

"Nice to meet you Kyoko and who is that little bundle of joy, one of your siblings?" Rinzu replied, Kyoko shed a lone tear and shook her head and held Hope affectionately.

"Momma" the baby girl cooed, and Kyoko kissed her.

"No, she's my own little Hope, she's my baby" Kyoko replied then teared up; Tatsumi got on her level and comforted her with a gentle hug, she was so sweet and kind Tatsumi treasured her and loved her dearly then turned to Rinzu.

"It's complicated, a monster- got to Kyoko before I saved her and took her in, that monster raped her and got her pregnant, I never got my chance to kill that monster; Volgoth killed him first when he attempted to betray him probably the only good thing that demon ever did I'll not give you that monster's name he was a monster plain and simple and one of the worst the world has ever produced" Tatsumi explained then looked at her. "I took Kyoko and her sister Mishi in as my own because I couldn't rely on anyone else to give the love and care they needed also because they asked me to and because I felt they were my responsibility to care for" Tatsumi explained further then turned to Kyoko. "Ok my sweet princess what do you need daddy's help with?" Tatsumi asked.

"I need you to spend time with me and Mishi-nii, you've been super busy since you got here we just need time and I need help with Hope, I'm having problems keeping her from wandering off whenever I put her down and she cries every time I put her in the playpen I couldn't just leave her in there she need my love and attention, that's what Aunty Kurome said anyway" Kyoko explained, Tatsumi smiled.

"I'll gladly help, Rinzu how about you take me and my daughters on a tour of Soukai show us the sights" Tatsumi replied, Rinzu smiled.

As the two were lead out of the room by Kyoko a little blonde blur came in Tatsumi's direction yelling "Daddy! Daddy! Daddy!" and he noted Mishi, in similar attire to her sister the little blonde eight-year old was incredibly happy child and an adorable one, Tatsumi got on her level. "Can I ride on your shoulders? Please?" Mishi pleaded.

"Of course, my sweet Mishi" Tatsumi replied and picked her up putting her on his back allowing her to ride on him piggy-back, a certain blue haired empress walked over smiling. "Hey Esdeath, I'm guessing you told them where I was?" Tatsumi asked.

"Indeed; it's very important for our sweet little girls that we give them all the love and attention we can: we both know that our job as rulers can take a good amount of time so we need to spend time with our Children where and when we can" Esdeath replied, Tatsumi noticed in either hand she carried one of their 1 year and nine-month old daughters: Sayo and Icy, they resembled their mother mostly as their blue hair gave away, Icy had inherited Esdeath's blue winter eyes hence the name Icy but Sayo had gotten her father's green eyes, they were dressed in different clothes Sayo was dressed up like a little general in white pretend clothes and Icy was dressed like a little snow queen, the choice of attire was Esdeath's own design and there were no shortage of little outfits for babies in the wardrobe of the Imperial family, in fact there would never really be not in use as any outfits could be handed down to any baby Tatsumi sired with any of his wives to tend to their wardrobe without a real need to throw out the older clothes unless they were worn-out.

"Daddy" Sayo cooed, Tatsumi came over and looked at his sweet daughters both of them looked at him and smiled.

"You need me to carry one of them?" Tatsumi asked.

"You're carrying Mishi, I can manage" Esdeath replied.

"Could I carry one of them?" Rinzu asked, Esdeath looked at her confused.

"Maybe but first, I should introduce you to them, though I don't think they want to be separated they don't like being away from each other" Esdeath replied, Rinzu came over.

"Hi, I'm Rinzu and I'm your new aunt; I'm looking forward to knowing you two little bundles of joy" Rinzu replied.

"Momma" Icy cooed and huddled against Esdeath's breast.

"Don't worry my sweet little Icy, Rinzu is a nice person and your new aunty, she married daddy ok? Esdeath explained.

"Rinzu" Sayo cooed and stuck out her right hand in her direction then put the other in her mouth, or rather the finger that had a ring pop on it in her mouth, she then looked at her father and at her mother. "Mommies give me Daddy" Sayo requested, Tatsumi came over and Esdeath handed her to him. "Daddy" Sayo replied.

"Yep that's me, Sayo you're getting bigger everyday" Tatsumi replied, Rinzu got closer towards the two and Sayo looked at her.

"She's nice daddy" Sayo commented, Tatsumi smiled. "Hi Mishi, Mishi, Mishi" Sayo cooed.

"Welcome Rinzu to a day in my family such as it is, by the way these four are only four of my wonderful children and trust me I've got way more" Tatsumi explained.

"How many children do you have Tatsumi?" Rinzu asked curious, Tatsumi blushed.

"96, yes 74 children of my own issue and 23 adopted children who were war orphans; before you ask how I keep track of them all, the same way I keep track of my wives: I may not be good with coming up with names I am however very good at remembering them and the people they belong to" Tatsumi explained, Rinzu's jaw dropped, she then quickly recomposed herself.

"And you're going to have more?" Rinzu asked, both laughed at that and Esdeath giggled.

"Most certainly I've got a royal family that was until about a year ago down to four people, me and my three cousins: Makoto, Lin and Koko, now that number has thru my efforts gotten to a hundred Gildenstroms, and I have an entire generation that I need to bring into Eden to make up for the losses my family suffered due to Volgoth: he murdered virtually every Gildenstrom apart from me and my cousins, my mother is still alive but she survived along with me by dumb-luck and she's- not a true-blooded Gildenstrom, she is a Kyono-Oarburgh which are a split off family of the Oarburgh Clan, my family tree is complicated and you're best asking Chelsea for the specifics but jist being my mother is of royal blood but not of the royal family" Tatsumi explained. "And in addition to restoring my family there is also the matter of restoring Esdeath's entire clan, this little sweet bundle of joy I hold in my hands is one of two new Patras Clan children, Esdeath with the exception of her half-brother is the last of that ancient civilization of people, very ancient and the oldest ethnic group on the planet in fact, they are a new beginning and Esdeath and I swore as part of our wedding vows that the two of us would keep producing new Patras children until either of was incapable of producing more" Tatsumi added, Esdeath turned to Rinzu.

"What is the Patras Clan?" Rinzu asked Esdeath looked forlorn but smiled as she held Icy to her bosom.

"A brief history lesson, my children and I are the descendants of the oldest and first civilization on Eden: the Patrassi Nur or Patras Clan, it's a dwarven word Patras which means person and Patrassi means people, the Patrassi Nur means the People of the Dawn, my ancestors built Eden's first Empire, an empire that lasted for ten millennia until it destroyed itself: the Patras Clan are those who remained of that Empire after many centuries of enslavement by the Demon worshiping tyrants of Yeenkar, after that evil Empire fell the Patrassi swore never to raise a nation again we took on the lives of nomads for many centuries until my clan was nearly wiped out by the Northern Barbarians that lived to the North of the Empire and whom I have since conquered, I survived, thrived, rose to power, and worked my way to where I am today, I was given a scroll that detailed whom the man I would marry would be and Tatsumi ticked every boxes, we fell in love, we married we fought alongside each other and when the Golden Dragon Empire rose out of the ashes of war we stood at the head of the greatest nation Eden has ever produced in the past 1500 years and instead of conquest we sought peace and to rebuild the world we now live in, but most importantly to restore our families to their rightful number: that number being as far from extinction as possible" Esdeath explained.

"That's fascinating, I must learn more about the history of the Empire and the world as a whole I really want to know as much about the new people and places I'll be seeing as your wife my beloved Tatsumi" Rinzu explained.

"We'll have plenty of time for that, anyway, let's see the sights of Soukai's capital I'm looking forward to seeing what the city has to offer" Tatsumi replied.

"Well then let's find General Hinowa and your Hatamoto they will know the city better than me; I've- to be honest never left the Castle, whenever my father needed something for me he'd have it brought here, my father to be honest is a man who is very protective of me he wanted me to come of age before he'd let me explore the islands and now that I am of age we then had the trouble of every noble in the islands wanting me as a wife, and there was never time for me to leave the castle with all of the young nobles and princes coming to and leaving the castle seeking my hand in marriage and then Tenrou decided to go to war with Soukai after I told their diplomat that I wasn't going to marry Zuou and it became 'Rinzu stay inside where its safe' or 'Zuou's ninjas are everywhere in the countryside' and more and more telling me why I couldn't leave here" Rinzu explained.

"Why was it you rejected their offer?" Esdeath asked curious as to how this minor diplomatic refusal caused a war that had roped the Golden Dragon Empire into it.

"Very simple Zuou first off didn't have the courtesy to meet me himself for starters, all my other suitors were courteous enough to do that, secondly everyone knows the Wolf King of Tenrou wants to rule all the islands so by me marrying him I'd essentially have to subject my people to enslavement in a political marriage, third reason and the most important, everyone knows that Zuou's harem is essentially a trophy wife closest where he takes wives out of political expedience, as insurance of loyalty and as trophies of his conquests and any princess is subservient to the Wolf Queen of Tenrou Zuou's first wife Hidayomi whom he showers all his praises on to the expense of the other wives and concubines in his harem. The reason I rejected Zuou is a matter of courtesy, national interests and- well I didn't want to have a loveless marriage, at the end of the day it's me that got to decide whom I wed as I am both the heir and my father's only child" Rinzu explained. "And before you ask Esdeath I married Tatsumi as last option, I do love him and he loves me, I didn't want to at first but after my people kept losing battle after battle to Tenrou and I was faced with the prospect of being taken by force to be a- I'm not even going to say the word to Zuou I decided that my choice of husband had to be one that gave Soukai the most benefit and marrying the Golden Dragon Emperor was in my thoughts at the time the best way to go about it: everyone knows the stories of Tatsumi the Golden Dragon and savior of Eden from here to the ends of Eden, and I hoped beyond hope they were true; the choice was either be one of many wives to an Emperor who had a high chance of loving me or be the trophy of wolf wanting my kingdom: I thought it would be best for Soukai to join the Empire because then I figured my people would be safe from Zuou because he'd have to be an absolute Baka to take on the largest nation on the face of Eden which has just beaten back a demon invasion and is led by the only known man alive to have faced an actual full grown dragon and a full grown Tyrant and killed both of them in addition to being the one who killed the leader of the demons: I mean how could I not jump at that hope" Rinzu elaborated.

"Rinzu; you didn't need to explain your reasons for marrying me; to be honest I understood them and believed the same as you did that we'd just be married and Zuou would steam and do nothing beyond lobbing diplomatic insults; well he decided to be an absolute Baka and go to war with my Empire over something so petty and now here I am married to the cause of the conflict and I'm willing to bet going to have to fight a lot of suicidal twits to keep you safe; but at least you'll be by my side the whole way Rinzu" Tatsumi responded.

"Daddy all this talking is boring can we have some fun now" Mishi asked.

"Yes Mishi, come lets go" Tatsumi replied.

Later that day… Tatsumi had not too long after been joined by a significant part of his harem, first were the Four Rakshasa Champions who were sworn to protect him and were also married to him: they were Mez, Suzuka, Akame and her sister Kurome. These four were Teigu users equipped with some of the most powerful Imperial Arms in the Empire's arsenal and this was before they had assumed the role of his protectors. Of the four all but one had changed little since they first met him; the one who had changed the most was Kurome.

Kurome had been the victim of one of the Old Empire's darker actions, that being the use of experimental and dangerous drugs on child soldiers to make them better fighters, developed by the insane scientist and son of Volgoth Izel Kurome was hooked unwillingly on a vile substance nicknamed 'Juice' which improved her fighting prowess but at a major price to her body as it stunted her growth, made her barren, made her body suffer long periods of heat to a point of having her prostitute herself to get more of the juice and essentially gave diminishing returns to the point where it would have eventually killed her and caused her to die a premature death at the age of 17. The operative word being would have, Dorothea the ingenious scientist and Tatsumi worked their butts off to save her life and keep her from falling into despair Dorothea developed a cure known as Salvation and Kurome was the first have herself saved by it. Salvation however did more than save her; it fully repaired the damage to her body restarting her growth and regenerating all her physical scars and injuries. As a result, Kurome had gone thru a serious growth spurt that had caused her body to go thru- significant changes. For one when Tatsumi had met her she was about 6 feet, she now stood a whopping 7'3 feet tall, her bust which had been a modest c-cup when he had met her well was now comparable to Esdeath's and Leone's being a massive F-cup set of breasts. She had also become rather brawny as she had worked herself thru extensive daily combat training and another side-effect of Salvation was that it boosted her strength. Kurome's greatest change though in her eyes and his was that Salvation had repaired her barrier allowing him to be her proper first and had made her very fertile: Kurome and Tatsumi had in the wake of the war had seven children from her first pregnancy to his utter shock.

With Kurome came her sister Akame, Akame had also changed significantly since they first met, at first she had been cold and emotionless, now however she was happy, cheerful and caring, she was also a doting mother to their four children as two sets of twins had been born of their relationship; three daughters and one son: their eldest was a girl named Merra after Akame's and Tatsumi's shared lover and Tatsumi's wife Merraid Oarburgh, the other three were named Tsukushi, after Akame's best friend and sister by adoption and marriage, Akira after an alias Akame had used during the war and to Tatsumi's surprise Green after Akame's first love who had died rather unfortunately during the war against the southern tribes. These children were mishmash of their parents features with Merra sporting her mother's crimson eyes and father's brown hair while the others either sported the crimson eyes and black hair or green eyes and black hair with Green sharing this later combination, they had yet to have a child that sported Tatsumi's hair and eyes though they were not inclined to stop having children any time soon. In fact, Akame was already two months pregnant with the next additions to their family and these would be three more wonderful children according to an ultrasound courtesy of Dorothea.

Apart from the Four Rakshasas also came Tatsumi's Fabulous Fourteen who were also his sworn protectors and wives in addition to being the last Elite Seven teams produced by the old Empire with a couple of additions: the first of the teams was led by Martha a seasoned and brilliant weapon master who had been the leader of the group that became the Elite Seven but had been denied being part of the group due to her refusal to complete the final test of her training that being to kill her parents, something she refused to do as she had joined the training program voluntarily to keep Akame and Kurome alive, Tatsumi had inducted her into the group in a heartbeat during the war along with another addition his wife Naomi who had undergone the training herself post war alongside another Seryu Ubiquitous, the other four members were all former Elite Seven: Gin, Cornelia, Tsukushi and Poney all four deeply loved him and cared deeply for him and had borne his children, 10 between all four of them and loved by Tatsumi considering that they had been given to him by women who had suffered the worse Eden had to offer and survived. The other Elite Seven were founded during the last months of the Old Empire: lead by Shastavi Tsunami were six others: Nui, Tay-Tay, Junko, Makoro, Hiromi and Osawa, all masters of Teigus comparable to the best Night Raid had to offer and with the skill and training to match, when the time came they swore loyalty to him as they had his cousin Makoto who had abdicated the throne to Tatsumi upon finding out about Tatsumi's heritage.

Outside his bodyguard harem a number of his other wives had come: first and foremost was Leone who stood at the head of the group, she was his first love and while their relationship had a bad start the two had grown deeply close over the course of the War that Mattered and since then were a happy couple also with her were her two half-sisters Lilianna and Nancy. After her came Sheele, along with Aria, also with him had come the Oarburgh sisters and twins Taeko and Chelsea along with their cousins who were also twins Meela and Loris. In addition to them were his wives Lila, Vatima and Nea these three were women that Tatsumi had saved from grizzly fates and had doted on protectively since then, they were capable in battle but the former two preferred to avoid battle and sit back as doting mothers. Tatsumi had also brought a few of his concubines with him and a few other wives too; though he had left a few behind to manage the Imperial court Mine being foremost among them as she had no desire to fight in anymore wars, but also a few had stayed behind to muster armies like Merraid Oarburgh and Audrey Gassarnel.

Ahead of the group Tsukushi and Poney were the first to great him, the two brunettes were dressed in regal gowns and jewelry worthy of empresses, Tsukushi carried their newborn son of three weeks old Kale in her arms while Poney who was about three months pregnant hugged him, both planted kisses on his lips. "Tatsumi-kun!" Both said at the same time, then noticed Rinzu.

"Hi I'm Tsukushi; welcome to Tatsumi-kun's harem" Tsukushi greeted Rinzu cheerfully.

"Hi- I'm Rinzu but I guess you already knew about that; I'm glad to meet you Tsukushi; who is that wonderful bundle of joy you have in your arms" Rinzu replied.

"Oh him, he's our third child Kale, he's my newest bundle of joy indeed when he's not crying his eyes out; though that's usually to let me know he needs something more often than not some Mommy's Milk as Aria's mother would call it" Tsukushi replied. "Anyway, it's nice to meet you Rinzu, Tatsumi will take great care of you and I'll be there for you, in fact all of us will be there for you; you can depend on us as your sisters" Tsukushi replied then handed her son to Poney and give Rinzu a hug and a kiss on the cheek as one would a member of their family, then recovered her child, Rinzu turned to Poney.

"Hi; I'm Poney, and not my parents didn't name me after an animal, I don't even know what they were thinking and its pronounced Peony does not pony, other than that it's nice to meet you Rinzu, you'll have to get to know everyone in the harem fair warning though its rather- big" Poney greeted.

"Big is an understatement its massive" Leone commented from nearby.

"Tatsumi-kun how do you keep track of all the women in your life?" Rinzu asked.

"Easy everyone is unique in their own way and while I'm not good at coming up with names I remember who they belong to well enough and that goes double for those I love and do everything I do for" Tatsumi explained. "Anyway, good to see everyone here, the plan for today is to visit Wako Island and negotiate with their Queen Saiha, for that I'm going to need to bring with me those I can rely upon for social grace and diplomatic skill. Esdeath I'm going to have you stay here to supervise the defense of Soukai and training of Soukai's people in Imperial warfare; it's very important that they are ready, Spear I'm going to have you do the same but with my Hatamoto with the exception of a few skilled warriors that I'll be taking with me to protect Rinzu, other than you two I'm going to bring those I can depend upon to mind their Ps and Qs and in case of a untimely Tenrou attack combat skills; with that in mind all those sworn as my bodyguards are coming by default, from there I'll select from your number those who fit the skillset, the rest of you will stay on Soukai and help the locals in whatever ways you can" Tatsumi explained. He then spent half an hour going thru his harem and eventually narrowed down those who would accompany him: first off were his protectors as they had sworn oaths to never leave his side and protect him at all costs, then came Rinzu whom he refused to let out of his personal care, then came Lillianna, Nancy, Lila, Nea and Vatima all five of whom could mind their Ps and Qs and who could be relied on to be gentle voices of reason and were good to have in a fight too, after that Cosmina was a given as her singing skills may come in use for diplomacy, there were many a time when as a good will gesture he'd have Cosmina preform and it soothed the most troubled of spirits. Lastly would come Aria, Sheele, Chelsea and Leone, those four were always voices of reason, dependable in a fight and refused to leave his side out of a strong love for him with Aria's being the strongest of them.

With those talks out of the way Tatsumi then saw to selecting from his Hatamoto the best fighters to protect Rinzu whom in this case also were the captains he had selected, only Hinowa would stay behind as she along with Spear were in charge of training the rest of the group, the captains were a different case as Tatsumi was supervising their training himself. After this he then talked with his Cousin Makoto and placed him in charge of Soukai's oversight in his absence, he along with his betrothed Fal, Air and Luna would supervise the goings on in absence with shared responsibility with Esdeath.

Speaking of Tatsumi had an ulterior motive for putting her in charge of military matters that being that bringing Esdeath with him may send the wrong message to Saiha, Esdeath was world renowned as one of the best generals in the history of Eden but also renowned for the measures she would take to win a war, notably at the end of wars to make sure the enemy once beaten wouldn't rise up again, even though she had nominally retired from the Imperial military she still served as an Imperial commander when needed and Tatsumi still had the baggage to deal with, even though she was considered a hero, in the Empire there were still some people that didn't want her to hold marshal power out of her reputation though this was a minority, in truth the reason Esdeath had stepped down from being the Grand Marshal of the Empire's military was due to her desire to focus on being a full-time mother which Esdeath excelled at being, not just to their biological children Sayo and Icy but also to Kyoko and Mishi his adopted children and any other adopted children Tatsumi had taken in during and after the war.

After taking these measures he bordered the Golden Dragon with Rinzu at his side and Poney on the other both as protector and loving wife.

Shortly… Tatsumi after giving Rinzu a tour of the ship and the setting off on a voyage decided to talk with his Hatamoto captains two specifically one who wanted to speak with him and another he wanted to speak with personally after her recent efforts that had resulted in the capture of Kyoukotsu, these two were Hisame and Hinata, respectively. The former was the first to meet with him and they did so in Tatsumi's office on ship or rather Imperial chambers as was the best way to describe them, Poney, Akame and Rinzu sat next to him, the former holding him affectionately and the latter two talking about Soukai and Wakoku as a whole but in a quiet tone of voice.

Hisame was a young man about a year or two younger then Tatsumi and had dark black hair that was short and tied in a ponytail as some men of Wakoku were prone to doing and blue eyes, he wore the armor of a Royal Guardsman over a black Gi, he had at his side his sword a fine well-crafted katana. Hisame according to himself and other members came from a small family of minor Samurai nobility in Soukai and had four siblings two brothers and two sisters in addition to his parents. He was known as being one of the best swordsmen in the Elder's class and Tatsumi's spar with him individually proved that he was more than capable of matching a good number of Empire's Blademasters and he had held his own for about five minutes with only Hinata and Tobari holding out longer in the spar; that he was able to hold his own for so long against Tatsumi himself and his natural charisma meant he was qualified for the rank of Captain which Tatsumi was glad to do so. Hisame however had requested this audience personally.

"So, you requested to see me Hisame?" Tatsumi asked to break the ice.

"Yes your majesty, I wanted to offer my thanks for the trust you've placed in me and my congratulations on your marriage to Princess Rinzu" Hisame explained.

"Alright, can you explain to me further?" Tatsumi asked.

"Your majesty, I would first like to offer my congratulations on your marriage, Princess Rinzu is the joy of Soukai and inspiration for everyone on it, I actually planned to after getting some recognition try my own hand as a suitor but that is moot now, instead I'm glad to hear you have given me the honor and duty to protect our princess, I'll do my best to live up to your trust your majesty and preform to the best of my ability my duties that I've been charged with" Hisame explained.

"Thank you Hisame, I'm pleased to have you in my service, with that in mind you are to protect Rinzu at all costs and at all times save when you rest from your labors, I'll also be seeing to your training personally alongside Rinzu's and that of the other captains, now is that all?" Tatsumi asked.

"No, I bring to you a gift from my own hands; it's a set of calligraphy scrolls that have some Haikus I've written, just some light reading as I've heard your majesty loves to read, mind you they aren't the best as I'm no great poet, but they are the best I have, other than that you have my sword at your service, and I'll put that blade to use whenever you need it" Hisame explained then handed a small box to Tatsumi.

"Thank you for your kind gift Hisame, now if that's all I want you to go and find some sparring partners to learn some Imperial fighting styles, I know you're used to fighting in the style of your homeland, but I learned first-hand that it pays to expand your skillset constantly and thru every available means you can to make sure that in the face of any adversary you can adapt to fight them" Tatsumi explained.

"I'll do so" Hisame explained.

"Also send for Hinata and tell her to head the sparring dojo I wish to speak with her in person, after her efforts in the most recent battle she deserves recognition" Tatsumi explained, though like with having Esdeath stay on Soukai he had an ulterior motive for talking to Hinata that being romantic in nature.

Meanwhile… Moegi looked over the ashes of the ruined castle, the captives had been sent back to Tenrou and her troops were making final preparations to set out, in the front of her mind was her next objective: the Young Emperor Tatsumi, scouts had reported and survivors of Yomihime's force had confirmed that the Imperial military was on another level than that of Tenrou, as a military strategist she knew that facing them in direct battle would be suicidal and Moegi wasn't' going to throw away the lives of her beloved troops on suicide missions it was not and never was in her nature and honor that said so was damned in her eyes and ignored as she followed her own set of honor that being what was best for those in her charge, she had also taken steps and thought long and hard.

As such thru careful deliberation Moegi had reached a conclusion in her head that Zuou would not be able to win this war, in fact that this war had occurred was a major tactical error on his part and all because of a woman, something which Moegi took great offense to. Where she and the others in his harem not good enough for him? Did he actually hold her affection or was she just a tool in his arsenal? Those thoughts could be considered treasonous and having heard about the mission she made sure that nothing was left behind Zuou could hold as leverage, she would succeed and maintain her status as best general in the islands but more importantly find the right man who could keep up with her something that even Zuou couldn't do.

With that in mind she had her sights set on Tatsumi, who was about the same age as her and stories told may be the one for her; that being she had devised a plan that would be victory for her either way a no-lose scenario so to speak. That no lose scenario would involve methods that were not martial in nature but were a mix of diplomacy and- her favorite sexual endeavors; she would seduce the Emperor and challenge him to an endurance challenge; if he won she would join him, if she won well she'd take him back to Tenrou and keep him as part of her harem, either way Tatsumi was her objective and that in mind she had planned to have her army travel by sea to Shoju Island a sparsely populated island near to Soukai where she would have them encamp on the far side she would then take her most loyal and trusted followers on a single ship to Soukai flying the universal flag of parlay alongside that of Tenrou which would guarantee the safety of her along with her entourage and most importantly her five children whom she had taken with her. Once there she would seek to speak with Tatsumi who she hoped would agree to talks and then put her plan into motion, it was a desperate gamble but in the face of odds that were clearly against her Moegi was willing to take it.

"The troops are ready to set out Moegi" Chigusa reported.

"Good; let's leave this ruin, Nagisa Castle was nice place, but the necessities of war required it to be destroyed, if it can't be held then make sure the enemy can't hold it; are the preparations in order for my plan?" Moegi asked.

"Yes they are, I'm just curious though why risk this gamble" Chigusa replied.

"Because it's the only option that doesn't involve us all dying, and it will be a win-win either way; you'll follow me to that end right?" Moegi asked, Chigusa smiled.

"We will all follow you to whatever end General Moegi" Chigusa replied.

"Good well lets be off, then when we make camp we'll see to making sure the lads are properly rewarded for their efforts in the battle" Moegi replied.

"I thought we already did; my ass is still sore" Chigusa replied.

"That was victory celebrations, rewards are different and if you aren't going to join in Chigusa well more dicks for me" Moegi replied, Chigusa smirked.

"Who said I wasn't going to join in, I love having my holes stuffed as much as you do, I just thought we'd already given the boys their reward" Chigusa replied.

"Glad to see we're on the same page" Moegi replied and the two left the tent to inform their soldiers of the news.

Back on the Golden Dragon… Hinata heard a knock on the door to the sparring room where she had just finished schooling Iroha in swordplay and turned to answer it. "I wonder who that is?" Iroha asked.

"I've no idea, well I'll see who it is" Hinata replied and opened the door and was surprised to see of all people her new liege lord Emperor Tatsumi himself, by himself at that.

"Hey Hinata, I heard from Hisame that you were sparring so I figured I'd pay you a visit" Tatsumi greeted.

"My Emperor- To what do I owe the honor of your attention?" Hinata asked taken aback, Tatsumi came into the room, the rather cute Iroha looked at Tatsumi with interest.

"I needed to speak with you: of my new Hatamoto you've come to my attention, now I'm not playing favoritism because of your mother Hinata rather because of your actions in the recent battle that included capturing General Kyoukotsu garnered my attention; he was an experienced and formidable opponent from what I've heard and you managed to beat and capture him which is an impressive feat unto itself but more important was that you restrained yourself from killing him so that he could be brought in alive for interrogation; in short Hinata you interest me" Tatsumi explained.

"I see, my liege what would have of me I trust you didn't just come to congratulate me?" Hinata asked.

"Well, I did but when I heard you were in a sparring room well I'd like to test your skills one on one because the spar we did have was against a group of other opponents and the tactics I employ against a group are different then in a one vs one spar" Tatsumi explained.

"I see, and is that all? However, Hinata's fighting style and technique mirrored Akame's to an exceptionally good extent but there were a number of differences as Hinata's parries were focused on redirecting the energy of his attacks back at him where as Akame would use a parry as a faint into a continued attack.

As the fight dragged on both had reached an impasse as an unstoppable force had collided with an immovable object, it was then Hinata surprised him. That surprise was something he hadn't expected a single alteration in her fighting style and her grip that allowed her to make a narrow bypass of his defenses and impact him hard on the chest and right shoulder causing him to lose grip of his sword.

"It's part of the techniques of the sword school, Master Enji explained that a subtle shift of one's style can make all the difference in a fight, I believed two shifts can make an even bigger difference" Hinata replied.

"Well, that's a good point but you've still got much to learn; I'll be honest Hinata I wasn't even going at half of my skill if I was you would have been disarmed rather quickly that was a stroke of luck, you have a good deal to learn and that bought has given me insight in who can handle your training before I even consider a full spar" Tatsumi replied, Hinata glared at him.

"You mean to tell me you were holding back?" Hinata asked angrily.

"Yes and to be honest me going all out usually entails death and is something that I really reserve for both actual battle and fighting specific enemies; by the way I know what it's like to be toyed with by a more experienced opponent Volgoth did that in our first fight and I nearly died in that encounter, in fact I would have had it not been for Leone; important lesson Hinata never underestimate your opponent and secondly never fight alone if you have the chance to fight alongside friends" Tatsumi explained. "Now for your actual training I've a certain person in mind as your instructor: my wife Empress Akame the black rose" Tatsumi explained, Hinata's jaw dropped.

"The Black Rose? You- you're serious" Hinata stammered surprised, Tatsumi smiled glad to know that stories of Akame's feats were as renowned as his, most likely do to a series of novels and comics Akame had commissioned to be written to spread the tales of the Empire's greatest blademaster and the leader of the Four Rakshasa Champions. "You are going to have me train under the Black Rose, the greatest swordswoman to ever walk the face of Eden? I'm beyond honored your grace I'm humbled" Hinata replied.

"You're fighting style is actually rather close to hers I'm merely going with extended your existing skill set before having you learn new things." Tatsumi explained, Hinata grinned, she then planted a kiss on his cheek and Tatsumi left just as Iroha recovered from her fainting earlier.

Meanwhile… Moegi and Chigusa smiled at the sight in front of them; 10 eager soldiers of Moegi's army all in their birthday suits and fully aroused both of them were likewise undressed. Off the coast of Wako Island about three hours later… Tatsumi looked out from the deck to notice a battle ahead; ships flying the banners of Wako and Tenrou were locked in clash on the high seas and Wako's ships were losing. "Ready the guns; sink all but two of the Tenrou ships; capture one and let the other retreat to tell what happened here" Tatsumi ordered his ship's captain.

"Aye-Aye my Emperor" The Captain replied then got on the horn barking out orders, Tatsumi considered ordering the helicopters and jet fighters to be launched but decided that it would be overkill and in the case of the copters there was a chance his ships guns could hit them on accident.

With the orders given the gunners targeted the largest of the Bune warships that comprised the Tenrou fleet and fired the main batteries, the loud boom of massive cannons being fired got the attention of both sides and surprised everyone, the Wako sailors noticed the shells before the those of Tenrou and the shells connected hitting the middle of the deck of the Tenrou flagship, the explosion split the ship in half causing it to sink as a spilt warship. Then another salvo of the main guns followed by half a dozen smart warheads sunk several more Tenrou ships and the Tenrou fleet broke off fleeing to the shock of the Wako sailors, the brutal fire didn't stop until only two ships remained from Tenrou one of which was missing the rudder and was listing about as the massive metal warship closed in launching boarding harpoons locking down the small ship as flying metal machines descended to board her, the loud cracks of gunfire were heard and the ship's crew surrendered without a loss as the gunshots were in warning.

Then a loud voice echoed. "Attention sailors of Wako; this Golden Dragon Emperor Tatsumi VII Gildenstrom of the Golden Dragon Empire, as you can see this is my flagship the Golden Dragon, it has just sunk 23 Tenrou warships, I'm not going to do the same to yours; the Kingdom of Tenrou has foolishly declared war against the Empire; I request to negotiate with your Queen Saiha for an alliance against Tenrou" Tatsumi barked; one of the ships raised a flag of truce and Tatsumi gave them the go ahead to approach, he then turned to his side to regard Rinzu who had been standing next to him had ran off she apparently had been scared by the firing of the weapons and no doubt was horrified by what happened to the Tenrou Fleet, it was something Tatsumi knew was a new thing but given what he'd been thru it wasn't unnerving but Rinzu who'd never seen this kind of power displayed on such a grand scale- "Cosmina" Tatsumi shouted, the Siren Empress who had been to his left looked at him.

"Yes Tatsu-kitty?" Cosmina asked sing-songly.

"Cosmina I need you to find Rinzu, try and reassure her everything is alright she must have been scared by the show of force and tell her I'll be coming to comfort and talk to her as soon as I talk things over with the Wako diplomats or what they have for diplomats" Tatsumi explained, Cosmina nodded, Tatsumi then turned to Poney and Tsukushi whom had also been near at hand with him along his Four Champions.

"I hope you two are ready for talking things over with the Wako" Tatsumi remarked.

"I'm always ready for talking things over" Tsukushi replied, she then kissed him, both her and Poney held his arms and Tatsumi headed towards the loading ramp were a delegation was coming up.

In Tatsumi's Imperial Quarters… Rinzu was clutching at a pillow under the bed sheets of her shared bed with Tatsumi. That terrified her to the point where she had ran off as soon as she saw the first salvo hit and sink several light warships turning them to matchwood in a matter of seconds and when she reached the relative safety of her husband's bedroom she did what 3-year-old would do if they saw something that visibly horrified them, that being to hide under the bed covers holding a pillow. The fact that the shelling had stopped wasn't reassuring as it felt like a false sense of security.

"Their diplomat thanked me and agreed to lead us to their capital to speak with Queen Saiha; she'll be more than happy to hear about the rescue of her fleet, it'll take about an hour to comb for survivors and another half-hour to get to Wako then we'll have to wait for them to get in touch with Queen Saiha, so we'll have good amount of time to spend together until then" Tatsumi explained.

"That's wonderful; Cosmina and I would be happy to sing together for you Tatsumi, though it will have to be only a single song, my throat is a bit strained from all the singing we were doing before you came in" Rinzu explained.

Of course if anyone thought there would peace in the isles after that they were wrong about a month after the war ended and the coalition dissolved the Wolf King of Tenrou decided that he was going to make himself the ruler of all the isles; as you may expect many kings and queens along with daimyos and religious orders were not keen on allowing him this; so he's fought a war since then, I joined the side of Soukai and Saryuu due to our old pacts, a sizeable payment and the fact that Zuou insisted on send diplomats demanding my hand in marriage and my kingdom as a dowery I was NOT going to agree to that and killed his diplomats sending them back to Tenrou; to be fair though they tried to kidnap me when I refused and since then we've been raiding every single ship flying the flag of the wolf or that of one of the kingdoms aligned with him, my personal apologies by the way for not being able to meet you in that battle off shore but my Brother insisted on going instead to prove his own worth and I agreed; thank you for your intervention in that battle, and demonstrating the lesson my father taught me growing up; of all the ships in the seas of Eden never attack those flying the Empire's flag it's not worth it will cost more than any treasure is worth and the Empire is known to be vengeful against anyone that attacks them" Saiha explained, she then looked at Tatsumi and moved closer to him. "Now for the matter at hand; I see the way the winds are blowing I'd ask you though do you intend on conquering all of Wakoku" Saiha asked.

"If I have to" Tatsumi replied.

"Good answer, and you will trust me, now that Zuou has started this war he will portray you as the true threat and not him, there are those who will not believe him and will join your Empire but there are many that either are in favor of him or who view foreigners as a bigger threat then him; the Islands will have to be taken by you either thru cunning diplomacy or by outright conquest" Saiha explained. "Now as to me I know the winds are blowing in your favor and given the state of affairs it would be in Wako's best interest and my own to marry you and join the Empire; the only stipulation is that the people of Wako may continue to live as they have for centuries and that any taxes for this region be low" Saiha explained.

"I'll accept, that's a reasonable offer; the only thing remaining is to get to the specifics and follow thru with it, is there anyone that's not going to like this?" Tatsumi replied.

"Nope; as Queen of the isles my rule as the Supreme Admiral of the Waves makes me the final decider on all matters related to this; besides the benefits of being part of the Golden Dragon Army outweigh the costs" Saiha explained, Tatsumi smiled knowing that this was extremely easy with regards to negotiations. The actual documents for such things took about an hour and half to get thru and plans were made for a wedding set a week from the current date to take place under the full moons when the three moons of Eden were all in light and the rings could be seen in full; it was an important religious tradition that weddings for the royal family be held at that time of the month as to insure the tides were ready for the sacrifices. In Wako the patron sea goddess the Niolane the Lady of the Waves was venerated by rituals under taken under the various phases of Eden's moons with animal sacrifice being rendered beneath moonlight by chaining the sacrificial animals to be drowned by the sea, also during this time criminals of the worst kind were also sacrificed to the sea goddess for judgement: other rituals were preformed and festivals were held based on the phases of the moons and even the period at which one would go forth on the seas could be determined by this at least with regards to the native captains.

With negotiations concluded Saiha took Tatsumi and his entourage on a tour of the newest Imperial province and showed him the sights while also explaining the various customs of the people of Wako; Tatsumi likewise informed her of Imperial customs with the goal trying to make sure both leaders could inform their people of how to interact with the others. After this tour Tatsumi returned to Soukai.

Shortly in the Soukai royal palace… Tatsumi arrived in the meeting chambers where the delegation from Tenrou was awaiting him, he noticed that said delegation was largely mal with a number of high-ranking and important woman mixed in, the leader of the group was a burgundy haired woman whom was at the moment being fanned by two men in little clothing as she ate grapes from a bowl she herself was wearing a very loose fitting kimono leaving ample cleavage, she looked at Tatsumi with lust in her eyes. In Tenrou… Zuou looked over the map of Tenrou and at the movement of his forces, he was at the moment unaware of Moegi's betrayal, but something felt wrong all the same he looked at the map and the isle of Hochi his next target when Amataru and Nahashu walked into the room.

"You sent for me my Shogun?" Amataru asked.

"Indeed I did, Amataru you are in charge of the conquest of Hochi, King Takanawa has rejected my demands and will pay the prize of his defiance, bring me his daughters alive and unspoiled they'll be joining my harem; Nahashu prepare a force to attack Saryuu with Moegi's attack on Soukai and the Golden Dragon Empire I do believe it's time to finish off a long standing thorn in my side, Saryuu has resisted conquest by our armies for three long years and they are weakened by the fall of their frontline bastions, a new attack with three armies under your command Nahashu should be enough to finish them off" Zuou explained.

"Yes Shogun Zuou" both replied.

"Nahashu I wish to speak with you privately, Amataru you are dismissed" Zuou ordered, Amataru left the room.

"What do you wish my Shogun?" Nahashu asked.

"I would like you to enlighten me about the Empire and more importantly about what I should expect" Zuou replied.
