Percy's POV

We started out on the trip. Since it says The daughter of death meets her fears, I asked Eythira to lead us. Her face darkened, and I decided not prod. It was not my business. We borrowed the SUV and started out with Annabeth driving. Obviously I didn't get my drivers license, who even cares about that. Besides, I kinda sucked. Eythira told us to drive North, so somewhere up in the cold. We stopped in East Hampton to get some food and rest.

I contacted my mother(yeah she wants me to keep her updated unlike last time), so the conversation was like this;

"Hi mom? Yeah I'm by Montauk Beach right now, on q quest."

"Oh Percy! How are you doing? How's Annabeth?"

"Oh, uh, fine, except new prophecy and stuff, bad stuff."

"New prophecy? That sounds bad. What are you on a quest for?"

"A shield that protects us against the demons of Taurus."

"TAURUS?! THE UNDERWORLD GUY!"

"Uh, yeah, don;t freak out, once we get the shield, we should be fine."

"Percy, be careful ok? I don't want anything happening to my baby boy."

"Yeah mom, be careful too, they might come for you. Dads' keeping a watch on you. "

"Ok, Percy, be safe, love you!"

"Love you too, mom".

With that I hung up. I decided to go to Montauk Beach since we were there anyway. I was in a good mood, so I decided to teach Ethan some more water powers. Eythira tagged along and watched.

"Ok Ethan, so to form a hurricane, you concentrate on the air and make the water drops swirl in circles, then you get more water and add it to your hurricane. Then, the more water you have, the faster the hurricane. Ethan easily formed a category 1 hurricane on his first try, so we kept

on training. That was when Ethan got a bit cold and he froze the water and sent a bunch of ice shards at my face. I formed a water shield (I didn't even know I could), and melted the shards.

"Sorry dude, got a bit cold. Don;t normally live up here and never went to the beach at night", Ethan said. He went back and sat by the fire, next to Kythira. She just stared into the fire and shivered. Annabeth can pack with 4 boxes of food. I ran to her and said,

"Hey Annabeth, got some Mcdonalds?"

Annabeth smacked me on the side of my head, "You know that's not healthy", she scolded me. We sat by the campfire and ate silent. Somehow, I felt uneasy and there was a huge amount of water around us. We were a good distance from the bay and water should be this near, even with the high tide. I glanced up to see that we were surrounded by water figures and a figure in water(?) armor.

Ethan's POV

Percy looked alarmed and I looked around us to see more of those water figures. How the hell did they sneak up to us I didn't know, but I got up and summoned my sword. One of them charged at Eythira and I ran to block the strike.

"What are you-" she said as I ran past her. I deflected teh strike and ducked, but the water figure kicked me.

"Ouch!" I cried out in pain. Don't know how these guys had SOLID water feet, but they did. Also they seemed more focused. Eythira took out her bow and I watched her gracefully knock 3 arrows and shoot them, the points covered with shadows. They sliced through the water guy and it stumbled back, but the water didn't heal itself like normal attacks did. I looked confused, but Eythira shouted

"You idiot, don't just stand there, there's like 6 of them behind you!"I whirled around and dissipated one and 2 arrows knocked a second one down. Focusing, I summoned water to form a mini hurricane and saw Percy doing the same. I decided to freeze the water since I thought water and water wasn;t going to work, and the ice shards took them down faster. Percy smiled and did the same. We continued advancing with Eythira covering us and Annabeth distracted the figures by running in circles.

That was when the person met what seemed like the leader of the water figures. He dodged a swipe from Percy and swiped at Percy, giving him a nasty gash on his forearm. Percy became more serious and he fainted left and then slashed upwards. The guy didn;t buy it and blocked the strike. I turned back to my fight and continued blasting water at the figures. They seemed more experienced and smarter(I don't know how water figures can be smart) but seemed weaker and easier to blast apart. More appeared and the leader shouted,

"You will never defeat my hydratic soldiers!" They had a lot of people on their side and I was growing tired. (Don't judge me, I'm a newbie). I began forming ice shards and throwing them at those guys. That seemed to work. I drew more water from the beach and splashed it to them. I thought I was crazy, but they seemed to slow a bit, easier for Eythira to shoot them down. Meanwhile, Annabeth had gotten a torch and was trying to burn the water and cause them to

didn;t work that well, but she did manage to take out a few before relighting the torch.

"Who are you?!" Percy shouted. It was clear that he was struggling. The hurricane was not affecting the leader and it seemed to be wasting a lot of Percy's energy.

"Why, I am Hydros. Sorry you can;t see me in this form, but I won;t reveal my true appearance yet."he replied.

"Coward, come fight me, or are you too scared to show your face cuz it's so ugly?"Eythira taunted. She drew two knives made of shadows and launched forward to fight the primordial. Hydros was the primordial of freshwater, and my dad was one of salt water. Wait, is this water saltwater? I tasted some and spat it out. It tasted a bit salty, alright.

Hydros responded, "You guys are too weak, because in my true form you guys would be dead by now!"

I started laughing and Eyhthira glared at me. "Make yourself useful, don;t just watch!"

I ran to the beach and collected the water around me. Percy and Eythira were retreating, and there were stil 15 of the water figures. I made the water go up and dropped it on Hydros. The water figures dissipated. I could see that there was more salt in the water than I tasted. Your welcome, said a voice in my head. So my father was secretly helping me. Hydros was weakened by this and Percy was able to disarm him.

"We will meet-" he started before Percy chopped his head off and I winced.

"Just shut up", Percy mumbled. He hurried over to Annabeth where she was looking weak and bleeding from several injuries. I turned to see a pissed Eythira marching towards me. She was soaking wet and mad. She still looked nice even with her hair wet.

"Dry me! She demanded. "It's coo-oold you know! Should have tho-oought of that befo-ore dum-mmping water on me!"

She was shivering a little but she tried to hide it. I could help it but laugh at her. It was just hilarious. She walked up to me and punched me in the face. "NOW".

I rubbed my cheek, playfulness all gone and said, "Jeez, you don't have a mean about it." I made the water disappear and back into the ocean.

Eythira walked away and scowled at me. Percy walked over and said,

"Nice first impression". I turned to him and said,

"Wha-"

"Oh you know, having a crush on that daughter of Hades."

I turned cherry red and said,

"No I don't!"

Percy just smirked at me and said, "Yeah right. Like you're too young for it".

"I'm 11", I shouted and threw water over his face. It didn;t work; he stayed dry.

"What's happening there?", Annabeth called as I punched Percy lightly. Percy laughed and blocked the punch and replied, "Oh, just talking to Etahn about how childish he is." I grew even angrier. Annabeth laughed and even Eythira twitched towards a smile. I softened at that and grumbled, before sitting down and finishing my sandwich.

Reyna's POV (A day earlier)

I headed towards the Cohort 5 barracks where the new kid was.

"Praetor Reyna", greeted Siper, the prefect of the 5th cohort.

"Hello Siper, I need to see Elrond today." Siper nodded and led me to the room where Elrond was staying he was a sword strapped to his wrist. He got up and greeted me.

"Hi pr-, person?"

I starred at him. Why did he start with something else and switch to person? It seemed acward and stupid.

"I am praetor Reyna and I'm here to take you to training and explain the rules. Follow me."

Elrond nodded and followed me out the door.

"Wake up at 7:00am and get dressed. Report to your centurion Dakota, you've met him before; at 7:30pm. Then you will train with your fellow legionnaires. You take orders from me, your centurion or your prefect. On Tuesdays there's Capture the flag. Breakfast is at 8:00, lunch at 12:00, and dinner at 8:00. You can take a break on SUnday if you'd like. You are on probation until you have reached either a year of service or done something ?"

He nodded.

"So this is the Field of Mars, where you'll be training-'' I saw a shadow move, I drew my pilum and raced after it. Was this one of the shadow demons Percy was talking about? I continued racing after it, and Elrond followed me close behind. The shadow disappeared and I stopped. I felt the coldness behind me and I whirled around and blocked a strike. It shattered my pilum. I stared in shock for a moment before drawing my sword but it disappeared again and appeared behind me, raising a blade to my neck.

"I was expecting more more you praetor." The shadow said.

"Who are you?!", I asked, determined not to lose my cool. I was pissed off right now. Normal walk and I get beat up.

"I'm here to claim my child of course. My name is Erebus.
