The Nemesis

Hornet was wondering the halls menacingly until he turned a corner and ran into breakdown "ah there you are come on Megatron has a mission for us."Breakdown said walking away with Hornet following him right to the bridge.

Megatron was standing and waiting for everyone to arrive Hornet arrived with Breakdown while the only people who didn't arrive immediately was Starscream and Airachnid who were on their way.

"so are we clear on the plan?"Airachnid said "Yes all we need to do is get him alone with us."Starscream said evily they entered the bridge where everyone was waiting. Megatron turned towards them all "a mysterious energy signature at this location Hornet I want you to investigate it." Starscream and Airachnid's eyes widened "By himself?,what if this is an autobot trap surely he'll need back up..." Starscream argued but megatron silenced him "that won't be necessary you've seen what he can do, What ever autobot comes his way Hornet will demolish them."

Starscream began stammering and sputtering like a broken toaster just then a groundbridge opened up as hornet stepped on through and the groundbridge closed behind him. Airachnid shook her head "there goes our plan."she mumbled Starscream clenched his fist in anger he was not about to let this be the end he was not about to let Hornet live long enough to potentially take his place. "No."Starscream mumbled then he ran out of the room full speed catching everyone's attention "Starscream where are you going?!" Megatron then looked at Airacnid who shrugged.

Megatron growled in anger "I'll be back."he said walking out following starscream out to the upper hull watching him jump off the ship and transforming jetting off megatron narrowed his eyes "where are you going?" Megatron then transformed jetting off after starscream.

Meanwhile

Hornet stepped out of the portal to the location of the Energy signature which was the ghost town of Pripyat Ukraine the site of the Chernobyl Disaster. He began to look around the place and immediately found nothing he was about to Signal soundwave for a groundbridge untill he heard footsteps.

Hornet turned around and saw Optimus Prime standing just about 50 feet from him just then Arcee and Smokescreen came out of the shadows on either side of him. "Hornet we're here to help you,and get you back to your old self." Arcee and Smokescreen kept their eyes on Hornet.

"We don't blame you for bumblebee's death hornet we know it wasn't you,come with us and let us save you."Optimus begged hornet cocked his head to the side then he began looking at the ground for a moment then he looked at optimus as his red eyes suddenly flickered blue for a split milisecond which the autobots noticed.

"Did you see that?"Smokescreen asked "Yes i did."Arcee responded hornet's eyes flickered blue again then he shook his head and his eyes turned red and then he fired a missile at optimus but he dodged it.

Arcee deployed her arm blades staring at Hornet "Let's dance." Hornet deployed his stinger blasters and charged at her swiping and blasting the ground as she dodged every attack "Come on Hornet fight it you can do it!"Arcee said but hornet just kept slashing at her meanwhile Smokescreen was standing there watching with the phase shifter on his wrist.

"Ok here goes."smokescreen said as he turned on the device and started running at Hornet Arcee and Optimus started starting blasting at hornet from both sides noticed this and brought his shield up and deflected the attacks. HoweverHornet noticed too late that smokescreen was running towards him and before he knew it smokescreen jumped in the air and phased through the force field tackling hornet and phasing out of the force field with Hornet who looked at him in confusion he took many swipes at smokescreen but found that his blades kept phasing through him but not harming him.

"Phase shifter,you can't harm me." Smokescreen boasted Hornet looked between the three Autobots he was a bit cornered with both optimus,Arcee and the untouchable Smokescreen he was much less done for as the autobots closed in on him he decided to not go down easily he got into a fighting pose then before anything could happen everyone heard a jet engine roaring above they all looked up and saw a jet flying towards them.

"Agent fowler?"Arcee asked Optimus though so too but he recognized the jet "Starscream."optimus said with a hint of nervousness Starscream jetted downward towards the ground and transformed landing on the ground with a loud thud.

"Let's finish them hornet."Starscream said aiming his missile at optimus Hornet then turned his attention to Arcee and Smokescreen turning his back towards starscream big mistake Starscream frowned at optimus then dodged to the right and fired a missile straight at Hornet striking him dead in the back knocking him down which surprised both Hornet and the autobots Starscream Fired another missile at hornet.

"No!"Smokescreen cried out and jumped into the path of the Missile but he forgot the phase shifter was still on and the missile went right through him hitting hornet a second time This time in the chest knocking him down a second time.

"That's for thinking you can take my place!"Starscream roared then projectiles rained from the sky landing passed starscream who looked up to see megatron who saw what Starscream did and was looking to make the The seeker pay. "Scrap."Starscream yelp as he transformed and jetted off with Megatron hot on his trail.

The Autobots rushed to Hornet's side who was leaking energon badly "the red of his eyes faded to blue as he looked between the autobots before going into unconsciousness "Ratchet we need a groundbridge!"Optimus ordered.

Later

Thankfully Ratchet was able to repair Hornet in time who was freed from the decepticon influence but he still felt shame over what he had done. He sat over bumblebee's body mourning the young autobot as everyone watched,Darcy stared at Hornet with sympathy "he feels so terrible."

"We won't hold it against him Darcy he wasn't himself."optimus said "I'm suprised Starscream turned on Hornet the way he did."Smokescreen said Arcee scoffed "I'm not I've seen him stab people in the back before."

"What do you think megatron is gonna do to starscream?"Bulkhead asked "Nothing kind I'm afraid."Optimus Prime said.

Meanwhile

Starscream raced across the sky with Megatron still after him "Starscream!!!"he yelled in anger.
