Chapter 4: Cheering up Harry
"Do you feel any better this morning Elisa?" Snape said as he shook the child awake, having let Elisa stay with him instead of in the Gryffindor Dorm for the last week had begun to help her, she was no longer trying to hide from everyone she saw and was able to start classes just two days ago.
"Yes Dad," Elisa says
" That's good, Today is Saturday so you do not have any classes to attend aside from flying class, but you do not have to attend if you do not wish," snape says
"No, I want to go," Elisa says
"That's my good girl, now it's 8:30, class starts at ten, why don't you get dressed and then we can head to breakfast," Snape says
"Okay," Elisa says and Snape leaves her to get dressed, 15 minutes later Elisa and Snape are entering the great hall, Both of them walk to the teacher's table where Elisa gets a cup of Coffee and then makes her way to the Gryffindor table sitting on the end by herself. Harry then sits down across from her and just begins to eat, he says nothing Elisa nudges Ron who was the closest to her trying to get his attention
"Yeah Elisa," Ron says
"Why don't you try to talk to harry, he's upset," Elisa says
"He won't talk to anyone, he is still worried about Skylar, she is still in pretty rough shape, she hasn't woken up and they don't know what else to do," Ron says
"Oh," Elisa says looking down the table at where Neville was holding a rememberall that was glowing red. It appeared that he had just gotten it
"No one knows what to say to him, he isn't taking it well," Ron says
"Oh well…. If you all can't do it I certainly can't" Elisa says watching Hermione explain a rememberall to those around her
"You were there when it happened, just give it a try, maybe he will open up to you," Ron says
"Are you alright Harry?" Elisa asks
"I…. I just met my twin, and now it looks like I am going to lose her" Harry says not looking up from his bowl of oatmeal he was just stirring around
"I know how you feel," Elisa says "But it'll be worse if you don't talk to anyone about it, we're here to help you"
"I just want her to wake up and be ok," Harry says
"I'm sure she will but she needs to heal first," Elisa says
"I overheard Madame Pomfrey talking to Professor Mcgonagall, and Professor Dumbledore last night, she said that there isn't much hope and that if Skylar doesn't come out of it soon, that they may need to consider putting her…..putting her out of her misery," Harry says as he says this he begins to cry
"Well legally first they will have to transfer her to St. Mungos," Elisa says "and I believe Skylar will come through"
"They called St. Mungos two days ago, they sent their best doctors, but they said there was nothing they could do" Harry ways sobbing
"Just have faith, are you going to come to flying class today?" Elisa asks
"I was planning on just going back to the hospital wing and sitting with Skylar again," Harry says
"Come on it'll get your mind off of it," Elisa says
"Fine, I'll come for a little bit but I want to spend as much time with my sister as possible" Harry says wiping his face
"Flying class is only 30 minutes," Elisa says "Come on it will be starting soon, Come on Ron" Elisa gets up and grabs Ron by the back of the shirt pulling him out of his seat.
"But I don't want to fly, it sounds dangerous," Ron says
"Geez Ron, you want to play quidditch next year don't you?" Elisa says
"Well my brothers do it, so maybe I don't know," Ron says
"If you don't want to learn you can watch from the bleachers," Elisa says pulling him along after her and Harry. A few moments later she and the two boys arrived at the Quidditch pitch and were the last ones there, Madame Hooch was waiting for them
"Hello class and welcome to your first flying lesson," Madame Hooch says
"Elisa I'm not sure I really feel up to this" Harry says, "I think I will head back to the hospital wing"
"Come on Harry it'll be fun, plus you need some air," Elisa says
"Fine, but afterward we go to the hospital wing together," Harry says stepping up next to his broomstick
"Alright Everyone step up to the left side of their broomsticks and say up," Madame Hooch said
"Up," Elisa and Draco Malfoy said at exactly the same time Draco's broom went right into his hand where Elisa's just rolled around on the ground
"Up," Harry said and he was in his hand in an instant
"Up….Up….Up" Hermione Commanded her broom but like Elisa's, it didn't move
"Up" Ron said exasperated and his broom hit him in the face
"Up" Fred commanded his broom and it came up to his hand. He covered his face trying to hide the snicker from his brother getting nailed in the face.
"Up" George commanded and his broom was in his hand seconds later, he was laughing straight out at Ron being knocked a new one by his broom
"UP!" Elisa commanded her broom and it finally came up, Hermione was still struggling with hers.
"UP" Ron said and the broom finally settled in his hand a few moments after that Hermione finally got hers up in her hand.
"Well done students some of you show potential others maybe flying isn't for you" Madame Hooch says "Now When I blow my whistle kick up from the ground hard hover for a moment lean forward slightly and touch back down, when I blow my whistle three two one" she blew her whistle, but before anyone could kick up Darra's broom went crazy and he couldn't control it it flew him high into the air zigging and zagging this way and that then he fell off and was hanging by his cloak, the cloak fell off him and he was hanging by his sweater collar, it ripped and as he fell to the ground his remembrall dropped out of his pocket, he landed on his wrist which broke on impact, Madame Hooch rushed over to him and the students followed "Oooo, oooo, oooohh dear it's a broken wrist, Everyone is to keep their feet planted firmly on the ground while I take mister Anasaki to the hospital wing If I see a single broom in the air the one riding it will be out of hogwarts before you can say Quidditch" with that she scoops Darra up and takes him to the hospital wing when they are out of sight Draco picks something up off the ground
"Quidditch," Willow says as Madame hooch leaves
"Maybe had he given this a shake he would've remembered too land on his Arse" Draco snickers
"Give it here Malfoy" Harry says
"Draco…" Elisa says disapprovingly
"No, I think I'll put it somewhere for Anasaki to find, maybe top of the astronomy tower" Draco hops on his broom and takes to the sky
"Draco Malfoy you get your arse back here," Elisa says following after Draco
"Give it here Malfoy or I'll knock you off your broom," Harry says following Draco up after Elisa
"No! you're not knocking him off," Elisa says
"Have it your way then Potter" Draco says and he throws it, Harry rushes after it blowing past Draco and catches it in front of McGonagall's window and then returns back to the flying grounds everyone else cheering for him
"Come on you idiot" Elisa pulls Draco back down to the ground
"Harry Potter" Mcgonagall comes out "Come with me" Harry silently follows Professor Mcgonagall down the halls to a classroom
"Great now Harry is probably going to get expelled, and have to go back and live with his horrible Aunt, Uncle, and Cousin, full time, they make him sleep in a cupboard under their stairs" Ron whispers to Hermione and Elisa looking sad that one of his only friends is going to be gone
"I wouldn't be so sure," Elisa says
"That's horrible," Hermione says
"Didn't you hear what Madame Hooch she said anyone caught flying would be expelled" Ron says
"But madame hooch didn't catch Harry," Elisa says
"Yeah Old Mcgonagall did and Charlie told me that she is harsher than most teachers," Ron says
"I'll talk to Dad he'll do whatever I say. Harry won't be expelled" Elisa says, already most of the children didn't like Severus Snape
"Harry is in Gryffindor it's Mcgonagall's house, not Snapes, he has no control," Ron says
"Dad can talk to Professor Minerva," Elisa says
"We will see what happens," Ron says
"Yes we shall, should we go get lunch?" Elisa says
"Well I was planning on going with Harry to see Skylar after class but sure," Ron says
"Class hasn't been dismissed yet" Hermione says
"Who cares she isn't coming back and anyway this class is technically an optional class so we can leave when we want" Ron say
"Anyway, let's go skipping," Elisa says "and flood the Hufflepuff common room with Apple juice"
"Elisa no come on let's just get lunch and go check and see if Skylar has woken up" Ron says
"I'll flood the Hufflepuff's with you El," Draco says
"Maybe later dray," Elisa says "Come on let's go get lunch", Elisa, Ron, and Hermione all make their way to the Great Hall where Bill is waiting for them, with Draco following behind them.
"Did you guys hear about Potter?" Bill says
"Which one?" Willow says
"What about him" Elisa and Draco say in unison
"He got appointed the new Gryffindor Seeker for his amazing flying, Mcgonagall just told Wood and Wood told me" Bill says
"So he isn't expelled?" Ron says
"Hey, Bill can Draco eat with us?" Elisa asks as Willow is glaring at Elisa
"The rules are that they eat with their own house Elisa," Bill says
"Come on Elisa we didn't have to eat in the great hall," Draco says "Uncle Sev will feed us"
"Yay let's go," Elisa says
"Where is Harry?" Ron asks Bill
"Did Mcgonagall not tell you?" Bill says with Dismay "Skylar began crashing a few minutes ago, she is dying Harry is in Professor Dumbledore's office waiting on any news while most of the professors are trying to stabilize her"
"We'll meet you at the hospital wing later Weasley," Draco says speaking in a way much nicer than any Malfoy had ever spoken to the Weasley family.
"I'm gonna go find my twin," Willow says "Maybe we can Help" Willow runs off toward the Slytherin table where there was a white and black cat sitting just on the table. She grabbed it by the scruff of the neck and threw it in the air, Mid fall it transformed into Alastor Smith, the ears and tails still out. Then Willow Grabbed his arm and Drug him back to everyone
"That Malfoy is so….. What's the word" Hermione says as she watches Elisa drag Draco away
"Bratty, Preppy, Arsehole?" Alastor says
"No….. he cares about people but he also doesn't," Hermione says "He's nice and he's mean I don't understand it"
"Wait, Bill Skylar is dying?" Ron says frantically
"Yeah bud, she probably won't make it through lunch," Bill says
"We need to go see her and quick" Ron says looking at Hermione
"Yes, I'll go Tell Elisa and Malfoy," Hermione says "Elisa will want to be there, and She and Malfoy seem to be close" Hermione rushes off to find Elisa and Draco.
"Ok I'll get Fred and George," Ron says running down the hall to the courtyard where Fred and George are playing with homemade firecrackers "Fred, George, Skylar is dying, we need to go see her" and he grabs them by the wrists and bolts to the hospital wing dragging them behind him
"Elisa, Malfoy! It's Skylar she's dying" Hermione pants as she catches up to them.
"Come on then let's go," Draco says and the three of them race too the hospital wing.
"Guys you can't go in the professors have forbidden it they are doing everything they can but they need room to work" Bill says
"Then we will wait right out here," Elisa says
"Oh I hope she comes through," George says a tear rolls down his cheek
"I'm sure she will Georgie," Fred says sniffling
"Guys, hate to be a downer but I'm a realist and the chances are against her" Bill says
"Even Miracles happen, Weasley," Draco says leaning against the wall
"Harry is coming," Ron says "Everyone, pretend everything is fine" Harry walks up solemnly "Harry what are you doing here I thought you were waiting in the headmaster's office
"I couldn't just sit there Ron, I needed to be close to her" Harry says everyone could see he had been crying, though he tried to hide it "Is there any news?" he looks to Elisa
"No not yet" Elisa and Draco say together
"What are the odds she makes it through this?" Harry asks looking at Hermione who he realized was a genius
"We don't know, but I don't think she'll leave you," Hermione says "The teachers aren't saying anything", just then Mcgonagall came out of the hospital wing she was clearly upset tears were still on her face from crying, she said not a word as all of them crowded around her, she didn't know what to say she waited for one of them to ask questions
"How is she" Elisa and Draco say still speaking in unison, something they did that drove both their fathers, Severus and Lucius, insane
"She…..huuuh she isn't doing well, the doctors from St. Mungos are trying their best but they say it is a hopeless case, this may be the time you should all go in and say your goodbyes," Mcgonagall says "I'm sorry to put this on you children but I have to prepare you for when it happens"
"I believe she can pull through, she has too we haven't figured out who my father is yet" Elisa says. It was clear Elisa held hope for Skyler.
"Your hope is strong Elisa but even so just in case I think you should say goodbye you may not get another chance" Mcgonagall says and she rushes off down the hall tears pouring out of her eyes she was clearly distraught
"I'll ask Madam Pomfrey if we can spend the night in the hospital wing so we can be near Skylar," Bill says walking into the hospital wing
"My sister, I just met her and now she is dying," Harry says
"Yeah, I don't know her, but I don't want her to die," Draco says
"And she can't die yet, we haven't found who my father is" Elisa says
"No offense Elisa but not really a top priority for us right now" Ron says
"Well excuse me for trying to lighten the mood" Elisa snaps, Willow just grins at Elisa and put a hand on her shoulder as if to hold her back
"Let's just go in they say people who care about people in comas talking to them can sometimes bring them back to the real world," Charlie says walking up and ushering the others inside having heard the entire conversation since they got there, "So who is talking first, I suggest her best friend whoever it may be"
"That'd be Elisa, I remember hearing her talking to the photo album about how Elisa was her best friend the night before she went into a coma" Harry says
"Uhhhh I don't even know what to say" Elisa says
"Just tell her how important it is she comes through this and how much you are worried about her" Charlie says
"Just got the go-ahead from Madame Pomfrey for us to stay here tonight, but she said something about boys being on one side and girls being on the other, oh and Elisa you have to let Professor Snape Know that you are staying here if you are going to stay here" Bill says coming up his face was red, Elisa could tell he had been crying, because he had asked about how long Skylar was expected to make it and the answer was negative
"Okay, I'll ask him later" Elisa says
"Okay so boys on the left of the room girls on the right when it is time for sleeping," Bill says
"Hey Guys whats is going on over here,I saw a bunch of professors crowding around here earlier they all seemed pretty worried" Darra says walking up his arm in a sling
"Oh, Darra…. Um" Elisa says
"Yeah when my brother broke his wrist they came and got me, is everything alright over here," Imogen asks Just outside the door Bill noticed what looked like a seventh-year Ravenclaw, But he wasn't one he had seen before. The boy wore sunglasses and had been discreetly following Imogen around all week without her noticing
"Hey out there, come in here who are you?" Bill asks wiping the last bit of tears off his face
"Gwen," Gwen says he had a bad lisp to his voice
"Were you following someone?" Bill says
"Uhhh… They say I need to make friends" Gwen says hiding his face with his long pale green hair, "Flitwick said I need too stop hiding in the Library"
"Ok well who were you following," Imogen asks
"Uhhhh mmmm" Gwen blushes
"You're in my house, right? I'm Imogen, if you want we can be friends" Imogen says coming out of her shell a little, Darra can see she likes this new boy
"Really?" Gwen says softly "I've never had a friend before"
"Neither have I well aside from my twin," Imogen says
"I dont usually stay in the dorm," Gwen says "My brother isn't old enough to have magic so he stays with Dad, he and Tumrik are the only friends I've ever had but Tumrik is paid to be my friend so he doesn't count"
"I prefer to sleep in trees myself or anywhere there are rats or iguanas," Imogen says
"I stay….well I'm not permitted to say" Gwen says
"I don't recognize you, but you look to be a 7th year, what year are you?" Charlie asks
"I'm a first-year," Gwen says
"Ok then you started way late," Charlie says
"No I'm 11ish," Gwen says
"Well you look much older," Charlie says
"What about now" Gwen's body changes, his bottom half was part snake and his top was human but now he looked 11.
"That is so cool," Imogen says, "Hey do you want to go hang out someplace and we can leave these guys to whatever they were doing?"
"SNAKEEEEEE!" Elisa hides behind Bill and Draco runs behind Charlie.
"Elisa it's ok, and Malfoy are you hiding behind me?" Charlie says
"No" Draco says sheepishly grinning
"I dont like snakes," Elisa says
"Come on Gwen let's get out of here before one of them has a panic attack," Imogen says walking towards the door
"Okay" Gwen changes into a Giant Basilisk and leaves but not before they all heard a thud and see Draco had feinted
"I'll get Madame Pomfrey" Bill says
"Draco Dobby is making pancakes," Elisa says but she gets no response "Wow he's out"
"Draco, Ron is about to be eaten by a hippogriff," George says
"A hippo-what?" Fred says forgetting what a hippogriff is
"Those weird cross between a horse and an Eagle things Freddie" George says
"Their parts are great in potions," Elisa says
"Draco, Hermione is about to be eaten by a dragon," Bill says
"Draco I have glitter," Elisa says
"Dragon? Where! Keep that devilish stuff away from my hair phoenix" Draco says
"Well that worked, but Bill you know most dragons don't eat people," Charlie says
"Elisa, can we spring a dragon from Romania?" Draco whispers a little too loudly
"Not a chance Elisa" Bill says
"Aw but Bill I want to have a dragon it would be so cool!" Charlie says
"Wanna help us" Elisa whispers too where Bill cant hear.
"At least wait until Next year when I won't be responsible for Gryffindor" Bill says glaring at his brother
"Guys I just noticed something" Harry says looking at Skylar
"Bing Bing," Elisa says
"What would that be, Pot- umm Harry," Draco says correcting himself after a glare from Elisa.
"Skylar's purple amulet isn't around her neck, I remember she was wearing one before her ears and tail appeared," Harry says
"It's what now?" Snape says from the Doorway.
"Dad" Elisa says "Can I stay here tonight"
"Um" Harry says clearly not sure if he should say much more about the amulet
"Yes, now I must go tell Minerva about this. Good eye Mr. Potter" Snape walks off his cloak whooshing behind him like a bat. Elisa whispers something too Draco and they both bust out laughing
"He….He does, doesn't he" Draco says after catching his breath.
"Oh no now Professor Mcgonagall is going to know that Skylar lost her amulet" Harry says worriedly
"Maybe that is for the best Harry" Elisa says
"But Skylar seemed to think that she would be in trouble if she lost it we talked after you went to bed that night that you both got detention" Harry says
"Me and her still have too attend that detention," Elisa says "But better her be in trouble and Alive than dead"
"Maybe we should find it, it could be the key to her survival" Bill says
"Yes Operation find the amulet," Draco says
"Minerva may i have a word," Snape says approaching McGonagall
"What…..what is it Severus," Mcgonagall says her eyes were red and puffy and she was still crying
"Mr. Potter has just informed me that Miss Skylar is not wearing her amulet and was wearing it before the incident occured" Snape says
"So it is missing?" Mcgonagall says in alarm
"Yes" Snape says
"We need to find it immediately round up the ghosts" Mcgonagall says
"Yes, does the amulet have any tracking spells cast upon it?" Snape says
"Unfortunately Lily was the only one who could track it, maybe James and Sirius too but probably not" Mcgonagall says
"I shall round up the ghosts," Snape says walking out
"Meet me in the courtyard with them in ten minutes" Mcgonagall shouts after him then rushes to get Professor Dumbledore
"Ok so here's the plan, Elisa, you and Draco go to the library and look for it, Fred and George you go with them, Harry, Hermione, and Ron, go search the hall near the Common Room, Charlie and I will look in the hall outside the library, and Darra you look on the staircase, we meet back here in ten," Bill Says
"What about us, we're here too," Willow says
"Umm uhh... stay here with Skylar," Bill says Willow huffs and crosses her arms
"Come on Sis, we're clearly not wanted her and Lisa has clearly made some 'new' friends," Alastor says pulling willow out of the Med bay
"Willow wait!" Elisa says watching them leave
"Race Ya el," Draco says taking off
"You're gonna lose!" Elisa calls running after him
"How are they able to turn this into a game," Fred says
"Race ya Freddie," George says taking off
"You're on," Fred says following him
"Apparently that's how," Charlie says laughing
"Bill How are Elisa and Draco so close, she's a Gryffindor and he's a Slytherin," Hermione asks
"They appear to have known each other through her guardian and his father," Bill says "Now go help the others look for that purple amulet"
"Come on boys lets go" Hermione grabs both boys
"Right behind Ya," Ron says "And you don't need to drag us"
"I'm not dragging you this is dragging you" She then proceeds to run
"Hermione let go," Harry says she lets go of them
"Alright now this is what the amulet looks like," Harry says showing them the picture of Lily wearing the amulet in the photo album
"It probably fell off around the area it started happening at," Hermione says
"You heard Bill, the plan is that we check near the common room," Harry says
"Yes, I wouldn't disobey an order," Hermione says
"Alright then let's look there, wait, guys, it's been almost a week what if the amulet was taken by someone by now?" Harry says
"If no one finds it we tell Headmaster Dumbledore," Hermione says "he is the best wizard of the age if anyone is to find it he will"
"Alright Everyone, We need to find this amulet as soon as possible, it is important, it may be able to save dear Skylaris who right now at this very moment is fading away rapidly," Mcgonagall says to the ghosts in the courtyard holding up a picture of the amulet "Severus do you have a plan?"
"We have to save her," the ghost named Sir Nickolas says
"We must check every area we know she was at before this, and possibly try to summon it"
"Would that include the restroom?" The ghost named Peeves snickers out
"Peeves, so help me if you try to make this a game or a joke I will make you wish you didn't reside in the castle" Mcgonagall snaps "This is Skylaris we are talking about, she has to be saved"
"Sorry Professor" Peeves says looking ashamed of himself
"If you mess this up i do have a few potions that call for an exorcism to be performed" Snape threatens
"Yes Snape" Peeves says
"Good now let's begin," Snape says as they watch Elisa and Draco run past them
"I'm going to catch you dray!" Elisa says almost ahead of him as they run too the Library
"What are those devils up to now" Snape says
"Don't worry about them right now Severus, let's just find this Amulet" Dumbledore says as they here a yell
"FOUND IT!" The yell had come from Elisa
"Oh come on I wanted to find it" Draco says and they watch the two kids race back by there was something purple in Elisa's hand
"Was that an amulet in Elisa's hand?" Mcgonagall says
"Why don't we go see" Snape says "but it could of also been her own amulet"
"Let's go check it didn't look the right shape to be hers, Follow those kids" Mcgonagall says
"WEASLEYS WE FOUND IT!" they heard Draco shouting.
"GREAT LET'S GET BACK TO THE HOSPITAL WING AND GET THE OTHERS TOO" George shouts and he heads to the common room to get Harry, Hermione, and Ron, and then Get Darra at the staircase
"I believe the kids were a few steps ahead of us" Flitwick says
"Yes it appears so doesn't it," Mcgonagall says looking almost relieved "Let's get up there and hope it works" she looks at Severus
"Yes let's hurry," Snape says they rush to the hospital wing where the entire search party of students were just arriving back
"You guys found it?" Harry asks almost excitedly looking For Elisa, then his glasses fall off because he was running, Ron grabs them and hands them back to him
"Calm down mate" Ron says
"WE FOUND IT WE FOUND IT WE FOUND IT!" They hear Elisa and Draco screaming as they run into the hospital wing
"Elisa Calm yourself and lower your voice" Bill says "You'll wake the dead"
"She wasn't the only one screaming," Fred says rubbing his ears
"Who else was screaming?" Bill asks
"Malfoy" Fred says
"Draco you stop screaming as well before you wake the dead too" Bill says sternly
"Can we cut the chatter and save my sister?" Harry asks rushing over to Skylar's bedside
"I hear you have found the lost amulet children" Snape says walking up behind Bill with McGonagall.
"Professor Snape, Professor Mcgonagall, ummm" Bill says turning around not sure what to says, he looks to Elisa for some help
"Someone please tell me you did find it, it could be the key to Saving Skylar" Mcgonagall says
"Here is it" Elisa pulls out the purple Amulet.
"Excellent, and since you found it why don't you go put it on her, Madame Pomfrey can you come check Skylar's Vitals please" Mcgonagall says without a word Elisa puts the Amulet on Skylar's neck
"Of course Professor" Madame Pomfrey says and checks Skylar's vitals "Her vitals immediately are stronger, that is a good sign, but she will need monitoring tonight, can I count on you guys to help me keep an eye on her tonight?" she asks looking at the group of students
"Absolutely Madame Pomfrey" Bill says
"EEEEEE!" Draco and Elisa squiel happily causing everyone too have too rub their ears
"I get you two devils are happy and have lungs but will you stop trying too raise the dead?" Snape says
"That is funny that is what Bill said," George says
"MY SISTER IS GOING TO BE OK!' Harry screeches happily
"You too Mr. Potter," Snape says
"Sorry Professor I am just so happy my sister is going to make it" Harry says
"I can actually raise the dead if you want me too" Elisa says devilishly
"Absolutely not" Mcgonagall says
