The coronation was upon them in days and Eugene and Rapunzel decided that if Joshua hadn't considered what needed to be said important and the fact that he had been coming and going at all hours with his mysterious lady they decided that he would find out when the kingdom did.

The royal family were preparing themselves and Joshua managed to slip away from them to meet up with Elaine. He held a box under his arm and a goofy grin on his face as he entered her room. "Elaine," He got done on one knee and his grin beamed. "Will you be my date to the coronation?"

Elaine breathed a sigh of relief that's not what she expected him to announce but it was a welcome difference. She nodded firmly and took the box from his arms to change. "Wait outside, I don't trust you -well I do but not that much- I'll be out in a minute."

The dress was beautifully designed to the elegance of a princesses but still wild enough for her with its off the shoulder sleeves and high neckline. The dress was dark doe skin and velvet, with golden embroidery of gemstones and angels along the bodice and tight, flowing skirt. Elaine never dressed up aside from her duties as lady-in-waiting but something about this, perhaps the gesture or the dress itself, made her feel special.

Elaine walked out and gave Joshua a twirl for his own delight. "Well? I know I must look horrible." She teased. The Duke said nothing but walked up towards her and took all her long blonde hair and brought it tight behind her head and slipped his other hand around to meet the other while Elaine stayed 'trapped' between his grasp, if she wanted truly, she could get away from him but decided to stay within the threatening embrace while he fixed the hair with dark purple bands. Elaine smiled up at him bashfully, Joshua's scowl changing to a goofy grin as he kissed her forehead before stepping back to admire his girlfriend in her full attire.

"Now you look beautiful, my Angel." Joshua smiled and held the door open and offered Elain an arm, which she playfully elbowed him with as they stepped out into the hall and towards the royal cathedral.

"Can it, cupid." Elaine chuckled.

Rapunzel watched from the corner of her eye as Joshua and Elaine entered, arm in arm, the lady in waiting and former thief, leaving to go sit among the guests of Corona, while Joshua sat among the dignitaries from Corona and beyond, the Queen and King of Arendelle sitting in one of the rows, a small boy firmly held upon his father's lap, while other royals from allied countries sat about and milled with themselves before the ceremony began.

Gothel sat in one of the rows, holding Michael in place and constantly smoothing out his wild head of hair which he had been forced to either tame for a few hours or have it shaved like his father's. Michael kept it smoothed out, but the curls refused to cooperate to the entire fulfillment of the event. Lance was wearing his best suit and sat next to his son, winking at Cassandra as she walked past with a sly grin.

Joshua planted himself next to the towering form of King Edmond of the dark kingdom and flinched slightly as his crow hopped from his bear skin robe onto Joshua's head and began pecking at his ear. Edmond laughed softly and Arianna brought a finger to her lips asking for silence as the anthem of Corona, blended effortlessly with the anthem of the dark kingdom as Eugene walked down the aisle and knelt before the priest and Rapunzel.

A prayer was said, and Rapunzel gave a few words of her royal blessing before the crown was taken from its glass case, as provided to the Queen by Cassandra, and placed upon Eugene's sweating brow.

"All hail; King Eugene Fritzherbert of Corona!" Rapunzel announced, standing next to her husband and taking his hand in her own. The crowd erupted into cheers and clapping, while Eugene just waved, this entire scene more attention than what his wedding had ever been.

Now at the banquet, Eugene said some inspiring words, they were awkward, but his father and mother-in-law praised him for the speech as it was incredibly good for his first one ever as king.

Joshua leaned over to Elaine and whispered. "Do you want to announce our uh... Relationship now? Just for in case and everything."

"Wait a moment more Cupid, her majesty is going to say something." Elaine hissed dismissively, gesturing minutely at Rapunzel who had stood and tapped her glass to gain everyone's attention.

"Your attention please!" Everyone hushed and looked to Queen Rapunzel with expecting glances. "Thank you. Thank you for all coming here to not only support my husband, countrymen and foreigners' alike, but we have an announcement," Eugene stopped eating and took a stand, holding his wife's hand. "I know it has been a long wait since we married and many of you all began to give up hope that this would ever happen, Eugene and I had also given up hope, but it has come to our light in recent weeks that Eugene and I are expecting our first child, heir to the Coronan throne!"

Joshua choked on his drink and stared at his parents with wide eyes, hot tears brimmed in his eyes, but he swallowed them.

Elaine stared at them in shock and rested a subconscious hand upon Joshua's back to comfort him, but her mind was elsewhere. Truly this was a gut punch to him, but Rapunzel was so old, and her family had a history with child- bearing, perhaps? Oh, what was she thinking, such thoughts were disloyal to the crown to which she served, which she loved. This child would be alright, but they couldn't deny Joshua his right which they had just thrust upon him.

Joshua swallowed, sniffed, and leaned over to her beginning to ask once again if they ought to strike now while the shock of his parents' revelation was still fresh and when minds of the people were softened and open. Elaine pulled his hand away from the knife and his glass sharpy, hissing. "No! Not now! It'll seem like a dramatic ploy for attention, Joshua, you, and I are not desperate for that. You don't want people to look on you like a glory hog, do you?"

Joshua mulled this over and shook his head, sitting down and mulling over his choice and decision. They'd wait, at least for now, even if he didn't want to.

Oh my... Well things are getting heated up...

What will Joshua do now that he knows this?

Will Rapunzel be healthy or suffer a fate like her mother?

What will the others do?

Is this safe for the country so newly out of war?
