Here is my last chapter. I hope you like it.
Chapter 5-Epilogue
The weeks went by quickly and before they knew it the court date was upon them. Jess and Sarah had spoken to Luke and Lorelai and got their blessing on the name change.
Luke brought all the paperwork he had from the loans to Liz but also all the paperwork from William's will and the mortgages so he could show Liz that he really didn't get any more money than she did. He also brought the video of them from the wedding.
Danes and Mariano families were called into the court at 10am. Liz and TJ never showed up.
This did kinda surprise all of them. They thought that they would want their kid but maybe not.
Jess and Luke presented all their evidence and because of Liz and TJ's absence Sarah and Jess were granted permanent custody of Doula. Liz and TJ lost all parental custody of her and any future children they may have. Jess then asked to have her name changed from Doula Wildflower Moonchild to Katherine Michelle Mariano. The judge granted the name change.
They all went as a family to lunch together. They all enjoyed the weekend together and made sure to make the best out of the weird circumstances. It was decided that weekends together was a necessity and they all worked hard to be a part of each other's lives. In good and bad it was always nice to be able to lean on family. Life back in Stars Hollow didn't change much. Luke or Jess never heard from Liz and TJ ever again. Both Jess and Luke hoped that someday they would get the help they both needed but they weren't holding their breath and went about their daily lives. They both agreed that if they ever did want their help both Luke and Jess would be willing to help.
