After finding out Eren was the human in control of the misterious Titan, Ritsuka and the Servants return with the Cadets to safe space, where even more troubles await.
Now, they're going to have to deal with the distrust of the civilians and soldiers alike.
"How many did we managed to save?" - Ritsuka asked the Cadets.
"About 12 of them, not including us" - Reiner replied to him - "I may not trust you, but you helped us a lot back there, you have my gratitude"
"We're just doing our job, don't worry about it... And about him..." -
An unconscious Eren was being carried by Mikasa nupcial style back to safety while he mumbled what they thought were words, yet they were undistinguishible, but at the very least he was trying.
"I'm still trying to process what happened back there, was he controlling the Titan?" - Jean asked, not knowing what had happened.
"Maybe he WAS the Titan instead" - Simon said.
"Considering the Titan dissolved the moment Eren was pulled from its neck, you might be onto something" - Jean replied to his teammate.
"We're going to need a scan of this Eren, we need to know why is it that he can transform into a Titan" - Da Vinci said from Chaldea - "Ritsuka, you're going to have to get close to him" -
"Shouldn't be a problem" - the Master said before turning back to face Mikasa - "Hey, after Eren wakes up, may I have some alone time with him?" -
The girl however just looked at Ritsuka with a look that said 'No' before turning away to keep walking.
"Nevermind, it's going to be a problem" -
"Just wait until she's asleep, she can't keep an eye on him if she's sleeping" - Sherlock recommended.
"Yeah, something tells me she has no intention of leaving him alone, we'll have to wait for him to wake up properly" - Mash entered the conversation.
"Maybe you can distract her Mash, have some girl talk with her" - Da Vinci said.
"Pardon me, but she doesn't look like the type who'd enjoy girl talk" - Sherlock said in response to his friend's comment.
"You never know, it's worth the shot anyways, right Mash?" -
"Yes, I'll try later, but to be fair I also don't think this will work" -
"Why is everyone so pesimistic today? It was just a fun little idea" -
"Alright everyone, enough for the moment, we're going to arrive with the rest of the soldiers and we're going to need to do some talking" - Rituska ended the conversation just as they entered safe space at last, surrounded by soldiers and the military.
"Jeane, report of the mission" - a man said with a deep voice who the Chaldeans presumed was the leader.
"Captain, we managed to reduce the number of Titans in the area and saved as many as we could, but we also had some help" - Jeane explained what happened back in Trost.
"Help? Anyone else went to drop supplies and I wasn't informed about it?" - the Captain started asking questions.
"No sir, but rather... Well, I'll let him introduce himself" - with that Jean led the way for Ritsuka, who was standing in front of the Captain.
"And who the hell are you?" - the Captain asked to the Master.
"My name is Fujimaru, Ritsuka Fujimaru. Me and my teammates were the ones that helped the Cadets save the supply team and clean some of the area from Titans, it's a pleasure to meet you" - Ritsuka said calmingly, noting the distrust in the Captain's eyes, something he was alredy expecting.
"Your looks are nothing like I've seen in the Walls, and your clothes don't help, are you outsiders?" - as the Captain asked, Ritsuka knew that his next answer could make or breake the entire mission in a matter of seconds.
"If I may interrupt" - Reiner walked right next to Ritsuka - "Yes, their looks might be different, but when it comes to killing Titans, they can do it with no problem, I would argue the only one who could match them in that matter is Mikasa out of all of us" -
"Yes Captain, they were a great help during the mission to take down the Titans, I recommend having all of them stay, at least for now" - Annie also entered the conversation, siding with the Chaldeans.
"What's the deal with this two? They tried to help and fast" - Da Vinci said to Ritsuka - "They want something out of you, be careful" -
"Don't worry, I'll keep an eye for them" -
"Hmph, if they trust you and your friends, then you can stay, but I'll have my eyes on all of you the entire time" - the Captain said, which gave Ritsuka a sense of calm, but at the same time he was nervous as Reiner and Annie both jumped to aid him quickly, way too quickly.
They all retreated to the safety of the Walls when the Captain started interrogating Eren as he was saying 'I'll kill them' repetedly while not fully conscious, which caused quite the freakout out of everyone present barring Mikasa and Armin.
"I guess I'm in your debt now, thanks for aiding me back there" - Ritsuka said to both Reiner and Annie.
"It's the least we can do after your help back there, there would've been a lot more death if your team wasn't there" - Reiner replied with a small smile.
"You'll be staying with the rest of us for the moment, I hope it's ok" - Annie said, looking at the camp with the rest of the soldiers.
"It's fine, don't worry about us" - Ritsuka watched as the Servants started to explore the place where they would be staying - "This will be fun" -
A third arrived with the rest of them, a boy name Bertholdt, who wanted to ask Ritsuka some questions about the nature of his friends, more specifically, their capability to easily kill Titans.
"Well, that's something hard to explain" - Ritsuka said while scratching his hair, he had to come up with a lie and fast - "The truth is, they've been injected with substance which grants them superhuman capabilities, but we only had 8 dosis so I gave them all to them and stayed without one myself" -
"Must be something done in secret, do you know the creator of this injections you mention?" - Reiner asked Ritsuka.
"Yes, but unfortunetly his lab got destroyed when the Colossus Titan attack Wall Maria 5 years ago. His research and his life were lost that day, so far none of us had been capable of replicating it. A shame, really" -
After that, a thunder and an earthquake in raped sequence followed, making all of them fall to the ground in confussion, as the thunder came from behind the Walls.
Reiner, Annie and Bertholdt made their way to the location of the thunder, while in the way talking about what Ritsuka said to them.
"Do you think it's true?" - Reiner asked his two friends.
"We can't be sure, maybe they tried to design something to fight off the Titans in secret" - Berthold replied.
"Keep them close at all time, we need to find out as much as we can from them" - Annie told her two friends as they arrived to the place where the thunder fell.
