I Own none of the Characters you may recognize
Meeting Lord Black, I hope that I don't destroy all your confidence in this story just by this chapter, and how I depict Lord Black.
This is very AU so be aware of that.
"Come in, Agnuff," A male voice said as they reached a door a few minutes later.
"Laggras, Lord Black, thank you for agreeing to meet with my client so suddenly," Agnuff said as she opened the door.
"It was expedient, if what you say is true, Account Manager, though who are you claiming is the heir apparent of my house, for while I know my family has ties to that of House Bones, it was before my namesake was born, so nothing against Madam Bones, or her look-alike, I doubt they are my heir," An old, but strong looking man said from where he sat beside an old looking goblin.
"Of course, Lord Black, but no, the one who is your heir apparent is Mr. Potter here," Agnuff said simply.
"As in Charlus' great grandson?" Lord Black asked slowly.
"Indeed," Agnuff said simply.
"Interesting, I would have thought my house was going to die out, since I would not allow the Heir Malfoy to touch my family with a kilometer pole," Lord Black said simply.
"I am surprised at that, I had thought you and Lord Malfoy were friends," Madam Bones said curiously.
"Madam Bones, first I am not sure what exactly is your purpose here. But before you answer that I will answer your question. I was friends with Gerhard, since we fought side by side in the Grindelwald War. However Abraxas, well the less said about that scum or his spawn the better," Lord Black said almost spitting the name of the man out.
"Lord Black, I asked that Madam Bones be here since I don't know much about the Wizarding World, and have grown to trust her judgement since she aided me in getting my Hogwarts supplies," Harry said defensively.
"Oh, is that so, Agnuff said you are Charlus' Great Grandson, which would make you Hadrian, correct?" Lord Black said looking at Harry.
"That is the name which appears on my inheritance page, yes, but I go by Harry," Harry said simply which caused Hedwig to nip his ear.
"You should go by Hadrian, the name has power, and is much better than Harry," Hedwig reprimanded in Harry's mind.
"Ugh, such a common name, and for one to be the heir of Potter I presume as well, that won't do, and clearly your familiar agrees," Lord Black said rolling his eyes.
"Very well, yes I am Hadrian," Hadrian said simply, massaging his ear that Hedwig had nipped.
"Good, so why do you need advice, and how do you not know about the Wizarding World, surely you have been raised by your kin, I know that Charlus' brother Reinhold and his sons, and so on are still alive, as is the case with your great-great Grandparents, Euphemia's grandparents on her mother's side," Lord Black said confused.
"I was raised by my mother's sister and her family," Hadrian said sheepishly.
"And who in the hell put you there? Nothing against your mother, the few times I met her she was a wonderful woman, but she was a mudblood, a good mudblood and a worthy one at that, but none the less a mudblood," Lord Black said confused.
"I don't know, I only got my letter today when Hagrid brought it to me, after my Aunt and Uncle kept burning the letters, and please don't call my mother that term, she was something much more deserving than that name," Hadrian said slightly coldly.
"I will do what I can for her, since she was better than some purebloods. Wait you said Hagrid brought you your letter, as in the half giant oaf?" Lord Black said suddenly recognizing what Hadrian had said.
"Yes, I mean I'm sure that is abnormal, but since I couldn't get my letter I suppose it was necessary," Hadrian said simply.
"They could have sent any Hogwarts Professor, but no matter, I'll investigate that later, I'll call the board and look into it. So why did you want to meet me exactly?" Lord Black asked deciding to get to the purpose of the meeting.
"Well since I am apparently the heir, I wanted to meet you and see if I wanted to accept that position, since I don't want to be part of a house that supports my parent's killer," Hadrian said simply.
"Oh, I see, you have my sister's desire to know and make the best decisions, no surprise that she was a Ravenclaw, Grandfather tried to order the sorting hat to redo the sorting, but he refused. To answer your question, Hadrian, I do not support the bastard that called himself a Lord, all but one of my grandchildren did, though I was surprised to learn that Sirius had since he had always been kissing Albus' ass," Lord Black said kindly.
"Well, Lord Black, that might not actually be the case since according to his inheritance test, Sirius was thrown in Azkaban without a trial," Madam Bones said simply.
"What? How? The only two people with that kind of power are the Chief Warlock and the Minister, how strange, but no matter, since even if that is the case, he still can't inherit the family Lordship due to a bylaw my father had me add on his death bed," Lord Black said simply.
"Indeed, and since you added it so did a few other houses," Madam Bones said with a nod.
"Now, Mr. Potter, since you have had a chance to meet Lord Black, would you be interested in taking the Black and Potter Heirships?" The goblin at the desk asked growing bored.
"If I did what exactly would happen, Laggras?" Hadrian asked softly.
"Well first you would start wearing the ring, which would protect you from low level curse and inform the world of your place, second it would give you access to the family vaults for heirlooms and the sort, and finally it would allow Lord Black to take you in as his heir so you would not have to return to your mother's family," Laggras said simply.
"Which last thing I would do, if only to help teach you what you will need to do in order to more fully understand your place in our society," Lord Black said simply.
"I would suggest you do so Mr. Potter, Lord Black has decades of experience and he will be an asset to you, and if I remember what James claimed when he took the heir ring at the end of his fifth year, after his father had died, was that it also warned him of potions in his food, which drove Severus mad, since he could no longer get back at James for his pranks by using potions in his food," Madam Bones said as she saw Hadrian look to her.
"Very well, I will do so then," Hadrian said after she explained things.
"Very good, now then come and place the rings on your right pointer finger and they will merge into one," Laggras said opening two boxes each holding a ring inside, which Hadrian then did as was directed, before a younger goblin ran into the room.
"Ugluk, you had best have a good reason to have burst into this office," Agnuff said coldly to the younger goblin.
"Yes, Ma'am, sorry Ma'am, Sir, I just needed to let you know that Lord and Heir Flamel are here, to discuss things," Ugluk said quickly.
"Of course, well then, unless anything else needs to be discussed right now, I must go and meet with Lord Flamel," Agnuff said simply.
"I have nothing more, however, Heir Black, if you would prefer to return to my home with me, rather than return to your muggle relatives, I would be more than happy to have you join me, and before you say anything know that your heir ring makes it so I cannot hurt you, due to the magic held within," Lord Black said simply.
"Yeah, but could we stop by my Aunt and Uncle's home, there are two things I want to get from there," Hadrian said simply after looking to Madam Bones for confirmation.
"If you could describe the items, I could simply summon them, so we don't need to go there," Lord Black offered.
"Okay, I have my blanket which is a pale blue color, which I have had for as long as I remember, and a notebook where I wrote some of my dreams," Hadrian said simply.
"Very well, I will summon those once we return to my home, now Account managers, may we apparate from here, or do we need to re enter the alley?" Lord Black asked respectfully.
"Of course, and that goes for you as well Regent and Heiress Bones," Laggras said simply.
"You have our thanks, Heir Potter-Black, do you have your shrunken trunk with you?" Madam Bones asked calmly.
"Yes, thank you," Hadrian said simply.
"Good, then until September, be well," Madam Bones said simply.
"I'll save you a seat in my compartment, if I get to the train before you, if you will do the same for me if you get there first," Susan said kindly.
"Sounds like a deal to me, until then," Hadrian said kindly before she took her aunt's hand and they vanished with a pop.
"Now, Hadrian, take my hand and I will apparate you to my home, understand that it will be uncomfortable, but over time it will become less so," Lord Black said and once Hadrian took his hand they too vanished with a pop.
Hope you all enjoyed, all lessons with Lord Black will be shared among friends or not talked about due to my lack of skill in writing that kind of material.
