The Lone Wolf, The White Dragon, and The Forever Knight
Author notes:
Sorry for the long wait. By the time you're reading this I'll be writing the next chapter of Horns, and after that I'll come back here for another chapter, until one of the stories is finished. So until then enjoy my friends. (Continues to slap Chris McLean across the face.)
Questions:
Guest:
Well Hitler is a lot smarter and wiser then retard Honest is and won't leave anything to chance. As it is with Esdeath becoming more sadistic and insane you will need to find counter measures to her. Maybe even build a device that shuts down her powers for good leaving her as ordinary as any human and lock her up.
Answer:
We'll see more of Hitler's and Esdeath's past in this chapter along with other things. And for the second part of your question I already have something in place.
Guest0.2:
Ooh if there are multiple mythological creatures here can the Leviathan from the Bible make an appearance and fight on the side of the Americans?
Answer:
(Looks off in the distance) Perhaps… Who knows?
ExcaliberShooter:
You know it would be pretty messed up if Tatsumi and Esdeath had a child during Esdeath's rape sessions with poor Tatsumi and she took his child away from him and allowed the German Reich to take care and brain wash them into Nazi ideology.
How would Night Raid and the Jaegers react to this world torn apart by a global war and the arrivals cryptids long thought only legend if they were to find themselves reincarnated into it like Sheele and Chelsea? Seryu's false sense of justice would shatter like glass if she found out the atrocities Esdeath committed and extermination of dozens of millions under the laws of National Socialists.
Instead of a simple corrupt government that ruined a nation because of sadists, it's multiple countries caught into a struggle between nations trying to survive and preserve their way of life and the world dominating ideological totalitarian regimes and the fanatic Imperial Japan. Unlike the Empire these governments are popular with the majority of their total population and far more advanced military and societalily. It would likely dishearten them if they found out most of these governments formed from political and violent Revolutions that became the complete opposite of what the Revolutionary Army wanted.
Answer:
For the first question yes but also no. Now the second and third questions well we're about to find out.
ExcaliberShooter:
I fail to see how Japan in particular won the pacific ocean. For the most part they were on their own and didn't coordinate with the rest of Axis. They just did their own thing declaring wars and conquering territories in the pacific and finding out they probably shouldn't have messed with the USA. So I don't believe Esdeath siding with Germany would of changed the outcome of Japan losing because one thing's for certain Nazi Germany didn't care about Japan and neither did Japan care about them.
Answer:
Simply put, there was no Pearl Harbor. No Pearl Harbour no USA getting in for the Allies. Plus the US wanted all European influences out of the western hemisphere before and the war. Along with the US War industry warming up especially with Europe under one flag, basically it's better to train, stockpile, and plan then just be the Soviet Union during a war.
Now on with the show.
The Wolf
(Majority of this chapter is from the movie Hitler the rise of evil. I'm suggesting you watch it.)
"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." - Edmund Burke (1729- 1797)
"(1)You know back in 1933, people were not fooled by propaganda. They elected a leader, who openly disclosed his plans in great clarity. The Germans elected me." The room remained silent. "Am I a monster? Then you'll have to condemn those who elected this monster." The room stayed silent. "Were they monsters? No… No, they were ordinary people… who chose to elect an extraordinary man, and entrust the fate of the country to him. What do you want to do, Mr. President? Ban elections?" The cameras flash white light every so often as he stares at the camera. "Have you never asked yourself… Why do people follow me? Because at their core, they are just like me. They have the same values."
Flashback
(Before Esdeath's "arrival")
March 1920
The pub went on as business as usual. "Is anyone listening!" A single voice called out the patrons of the pub. "That's the problem now these days isn't it! No one cares. No wonder we face extinction." "Idiots all of them.'' He thought to himself as he glared at each face in the room of thirty to forty people.
Later that month
We see the man passing out fliers to people that pass by. A stack of newspapers were placed outside for the stand which caught his attention and saw the newspaper titled "Pride is a Weapon!" Giving him inspiration for his next speech.
"Pride… Pride is a weapon. A sword to be used against our enemies, but don't be deceived. They are strong. Stronger than we are. And that's not the French, or the British I'm talking about… our enemies live among us (calls an emergency meeting and votes lol)." The larger crowd nodded with his words and looked around in confusion at what these enemies are.
August 1920
We see him again passing out more fliers as people accept them without hesitation.
Later that night
"Socialists… Communist… The foreign invaders who come to our country to destroy us and take over our lives!" The crowd that filled the pub beyond its limits cheered for the man.
Another night
The man stood in front of everyone in a much larger crowd and pub. "Who among them alone are the ones responsible for the decadence that riddles our society?" No one answered until a voice called out.
"The jews!" A lone man shouted out loud and proud to him. The man pointed at the person with a smile.
"The jews!" The crowd cheered. "Yes! Those who call themselves German! But who are now and have always been unwanted! Unwelcome! And they are everywhere!" The crowd cheers. "Invading our government! Stripping us of our savings! Raping our families and our heritage. I tell you friends this is war, a war that is soon to turn for the invaders will become the victims!" The pub filled with cheers.
Hofbrauhaus Beer Hall
Munich, Germany
December 1920
The beer hall was filled with many voices calling out for one person. "Hitler! Hitler! Hitler!" They chanted. As a group of men wearing brown shirts led by a man wearing what appeared to be a military uniform watched a few people in the crowd wearing red armbands.
One of the men in charge of the party walked to the back and saw the man of the hour had arrived and confronted him. "Where have you been? It's almost time to start. Oh and next time come through the front where people can see you." The man in question gave him a smile as he handed his trench coat to a random employee.
"My supporters will slow me down." He looks at the crowd. "Seems like the usual."
"Nonsense the crowd is much bigger than last time. Unfortunately there are some communist out there. So go easy on the redirect, the riots will only get us in the papers." Hitler gave him a funny look.
"Isn't that what we want." And walked out onto the stage with a piece of paper as the crowd cheered for him. As he stood upon the stage he held up the paper and the crowd's voices died down. "Universal military service shall be abolished in general. Germany shall pay for war reparations for all damage done to allied civilians and their property. Responsibility for the outbreak of the war. Rest solely on Germans shoulders." He held the paper in the air again. "But the few of the demands of the Treaty of Versailles." He threw the paper onto the floor getting the people to agree with his action. " "Impossible,'' you say. It would break us. But don't you see that is the point. They want to break us. And who do I mean by "they." " The crowd remained quiet. "I mean the reds!" He pointed at one of the men that wore a red band around his arm. The crowd followed his direction and agreed with him. "These fools who spread the disease called communism to empty headed dreamers!"
"Look who's talking! Just nothing but rubbish!" One of them shouted back at Hitler. Unaware that the military man tapped one of the brown shirts shoulders causing them to move towards the reds.
"The most effective medicine is a bullet! That's the best way to cure us of these idiots!" Another gets up and calls out Hitler.
"We don't need men like you, this is insane!"
"That's right!"
"The reds are jews! The Communist party is run by jews!" The men started to throw glass mugs at Hitler causing him to duck under. The crowd was at an uproar as the brown shirts assaulted the reds. "It's all a plot to destroy Germany! To shone our bloodline! To infiltrate our lives! They want to wipe out the Arian race off the face of the earth!" The brown shirts dragged out the men leaving the military officer with Hitler watching one another as Hitler gave him a nod as a thank you.
Days later
Hofbrauhaus Beer Hall
"We need more men like you in the party." We see Hitler congratulating the offer at the gym (it looks like a gym to me) as he helped one of his men.
"Oh we hate the Communist. Wherever they go we'll go. Whether or not we'll do anything for the party is entirely up to you." He told Hitler and looked at his partner. "Come on hit here!"
"You know I was a great admirer of yours. Your reputation. Your war medals."
"Oh my war medals right here." He points at his scare that was across his upper left cheek. "I'm prouder of this than of any iron cross. Speak of me, Herr Hitler, you speak of all my men. We're all soldiers here." He jesters around. "See these men, together with thousands and thousands of others, served our country well. Even after they were abandoned by the army they continued to fight to put down a Communist revolution." Röhm explained to him.
"Yes exactly."
"Now, all of a sudden, the rich that backed us up are charming away why? I don't understand. But if my men can crush a revolution, they can also create one. Because they love this country as much as you or I do."
"Yes."
"The only little problem is… they're unemployed." And walked away leaving Hitler alone.
"Yes."
A few days past
Hofbrauhaus Beer Hall
"We will survive." He told the crowd. "That's what they tell us. What they mean is - they will survive! We surrendered in November at a time when we were perched on the edge of victory betrayed by the cowards and the traitors within our ranks!" The crowd cheered him on. "How do we fight them? We unite! We must join together for a greater Germany!" The crowd cheered loudly. "We will sacrifice, we will struggle, yes, but only then we will triumph. And we will triumph! With the hero Lohengrin as our model and the music of Wagner as our inspiration, we will hang the profiteers, crush the Communist. We will disinfect our country of the Jewish vermin!" The crowd applauded and cheered. "We will triumph! We will triumph! We will triumph!" Soon the audience chanted with him.
Next morning
It was later that morning when an interesting man walked into the same Beer Hall where Hitler was rehearsing. As he walked around the staff that cleaned the hall out for tonight's gathering he noticed Hitler was almost in a trance (2)watch the movie and you'll see what I mean) like state. He removed his gloves and hat.
"Excuse me, Herr Hitler." Yet his words went dead to him. As he walked closer he heard the young man humming a tune. He noticed this and walked away leaving Hitler alone until the keys of a piano came to life. Breaking him from his thoughts and looking at the mysterious man. Hitler approached and sat down beside him, eyes closed listening to the melody. "I heard you speak… last night. You mentioned Wagner."
"Ssh." This confused the man but still continued to play but asked his question again.
"I was told I could find you here, that you never leave. Herr Hitler, I was wondering… "
"Ssh, just… just play."
Later
"I know some people who would love to hear you speak…, who are not likely to go to a beer hall." Hitler rolled his eyes as the two continued to walk around the streets.
"The wealthy. I've met a few. Armchair politicians (the real enemies of people follow the money) who care more about their money than they do their own country." He spoke as they walked down an alleyway.
"But as your party's propaganda leader you must know that to defend their money, they'll spend a good deal of it. That is, if someone they trust tells them it's a safe bet. That's where I come in. Herr Hitler… I can make you very popular. Far more popular than him." He points at one of the many posters of Lenin. "But you have to admit the color catches the eye. Why don't you have a poster? And a flag?" Hitler took in his words as he looked up and down the alley. "Your picture should be everywhere. With your name in large letters. You might consider a distinctive look… For example, When you think of Lenin. You think of bearded and bald. Not that that's attractive but… but it does stick with you." Ernst Hanfstaeng's words echoed in Hitler's head as he looked at himself in the mirror. Over the past week he spent time looking for inspiration for his flag, his symbol of power.
A week later
The sound of music filled the air as the guests started to settle in. "Baroness, we never talk so openly about politics in America. That's all we talk about here. Of course, there are some things we don't mention… such as Captain Röhm Ernst and his Free Corps. Now that the Reds are gone they still want money. So what do we do, my dear?" Before the wives could finish their conversation an elderly man spoke up.
"Don't talk to me about democracy. Masses can't control themselves. In the old days, one man decided what was best for his country and there was order and discipline. Now everyone votes on everything and the result is chaos."
"I assure you, Baron, it works in America." Ernst spoke up. "There they have states with governors under a president in Washington. Here we have the Prussian state, the Bavarian state and so forth under a president in Berlin. The structure is essentially the same." He explained.
"It's not the same thing, Ernst, and you know it." Hermann Goering interrupted. "Germans need to be led, preferably by a man we can control." He turned towards the old man. "He doesn't have to be smart, merely pliable. And a bachelor… " He leans over to Ernst. "So the women will vote for him." Causing the group to laugh at the remark.
"Well said, Captain Goering." Ernst toasted his drink with Goering as Baron spoke up.
"This person you've invited tonight, Herr Hanfstaengl (Hitler), he has the workers' ear?"
"Some of the workers but mostly the middle class, which is far better for our purposes. I think you'll find him… rather persuasive. He is at the moment a diamond in the rough though - and do I mean rough." Soon enough the bell to the door began to ring. Causing the maid and Helene to answer the door.
As the maid opened the door she stood aside and allowed the man to enter. When Helene made it she was greeted by Hitler himself. "Herr Hitler." She addressed him as he handed his coat and hat to the maid. When he looked at her as he donned his small mustache, with knee high socks and shorts, along with a formula (never dressed "fancy" before so watch the movie) black shirt with a white tie(?), and a white undershirt. He held a roll of paper in his right hand as he waited for her to continue. "I'm Helene, Ernst's wife." He kissed the back of her hand. "He's told me so much about you. Come."
As the night drew on everyone began to take their seats at the table for dinner as Hitler began the conversation as he made his drink. "With respect, the Kaiser's a coward. Better off without him really. No, we need someone with courage, courage to drive out these foreign agitators." He tossed his spoon across the table. "A man who would smile in the face of the machine gun and scare the rabble shitless." The table remained silent as he drank from his drink until Goering broke it.
"Would that be you, sir?" Hitler placed his glass down on the table and looked towards him.
"No, Captain Goering, not me, sir. I'm just a voice crying out in the wilderness." This caused a small chuckle in the room as he smiled. "Above all, we must remove the Jews (fun fact the Nazis wanted to relocate the Jews to Madagascar after the war was over)." The silence returned quickly. "They run our banks, they lost us the war. They're responsible for the economic disaster we're in." This caused one of the men to stand up from the table.
"Sir, my father was a Jew and a strong patriot could not be found at this table. I am the man I am today because of him." Helene looked up at Hitler and saw he was having some trouble with this outcome.
"Baron… (there are two) surely he wasn't talking about your father. He meant the Communist Jews, didn't you, Herr Hitler." Hitler looked down at her for a moment and back at the man yet remained silent. Baron nodded and motioned his wife that they're leaving.
"You'll excuse us, Frau Hanfstaeng." With that they left the room.
"Herr Hitler." Ernst spoke out. "Please." He motions him to continue.
We see the couple grabbing their things as Helene walks towards them. "Please accept my apologies. I'm sure he meant no disrespect. My husband and I have several Jewish friends in America."
"What this man is doing, Madame, is heating up the hatred in this country to boiling point. And all for his own purposes, I might add. May God forgive you and your husband for supporting him." With that they left Helene alone in the hall as they left.
She returned to the dining room as they continued their conversation. "…I to know what it's like to be mistaken in a friend. If he has deceived you as to his heritage, who knows what else is he capable of?"
"You're a very gifted speaker, Herr Hitler. I think… it is an honor to be at this table with you." The table applauded him as he took a bow.
As Helene took her seat Hitler took out his roll of paper yet he couldn't take his eyes off of her. "I began life as a quite gifted artist, Captain Goering (I looked at his work, they look nice in my opinion better than anyone could make today). And I brought something I want you all to see." He unrolled it and showed it to the table. "Simple. Aryan."
"What does it mean?" One of the wives asked.
"It means the unconquerable." He showed it to Helene. "Do you like it, Frau Hanfstaengl?"
"It's very… hypnotic."
"Tell us, Herr Hitler, have you considered publishing?" Baron spoke up.
After the party
"Well done." Ernst congratulated Hitler. After that Hitler looked towards Helene.
"Thank you." And kissed her hand and walked out as Baron handed Ernst a check.
"Thank you." Ernst spoke as he placed the check with the others that were in a small pile.
July 29, 1921
Posters of Hitler and his symbol stood proudly on the walls. "The turning point in my life was when the blindfold was ripped from my eyes! The Jew in all his terrible shame! We will hang the profiteers!" We see Ernst handing out a check to a local newspaper editor. "We recognise him. We recognise him." December 1920 the first issue of the Nazi Party Newspaper was produced. "We will make them pay!" A check was handed out to the brown shirts. "We will triumph! We will triumph! We will triumph!"
A group of men continued to argue against one another in the political office of the party until the sound of a gun went off causing the men to look at Röhm who held the gun up right who stood next to Hitler.
"What's going on?" He calmly asked the group, showing that he was annoyed with them. Soon enough the leader of the party stood up.
"Herr Hitler… we er… Who is this?" He jesters towards the group around Hitler.
"My new friends. What are you arguing about?"
"We have been approached by the German Socialist party to join forces." He made his way around the table towards Hitler. "Our principles are similar, we can negotiate a new platform to eliminate our differences, and together both parties will be even stronger." Hitler looked away from him. "Er… some of the others here disagree." He pointed towards them. Hitler paused for a moment and nodded his head.
"I see." He walked towards the table. "Would you like to know what I think?"
"Yes, of course."
"I think you're a traitor." He said stunning the man with his statement.
"But Herr Hitler… " He turned to him and yelled in a fit of rage.
"Compromise is not possible! If their members wish to quit their party and join ours that's another thing, but our principals are our principles and cannot be changed!" He smiled for a moment. "Once again, Drexler, you prove my point." He walked away around the table. "This is a tedious, amateur organisation and you are a jealous fool." He pointed at Drexler. "Which brings me to this." He held a piece of paper. "Who wrote this?" No one answered until Drexler opened his mouth but was interrupted. "Don't pretend you don't know what it is." He walked towards Drexler. "One of our own members calls me a dangerous demagogue." They stood face to face. "Are you out to destroy me? I tell you, sir, I don't need you or your party.I will form my own Party." With that said Hitler and his men left the room leaving it in silence with the crowd chanting for Hitler echoing in the background.
As he left the beer hall the sound of footsteps approaching behind them caught their attention. "Herr Hitler, Herr Hitler!" The man stopped and gave a smug smile before facing Drexler. "Please. You're right. Of course we will not merge if that is how you feel. There are some who question your financial ties, that is all." As the conversation was going on the brownshirts began to rip off posters of other Political Parties. Drexler saw this and started to become nervous. "We're not a Party of the bourgeoisie, it's… It's bound to have an impact."
"The leadership." He said out to him. Drexler looked down the alley and saw the brownshirts beating some of the political opponents and looked back at Hitler.
"What?"
"I want you to step down, name me as your successor." He looked back down the alley and saw the job was done and looked back Hitler waiting for an answer.
"Yes. Yes, of course." Like a beaten dog he rolled over.
"The committee must approve unanimously. Then make a public announcement." Drexler was verbally beaten in a corner and gave in to every demand.
He walked onto the stage as the crowd still chanted for Hitler. "May I have your attention? The leadership committee has just made an important decision." He locked eyes with Hitler as he stood behind the crowd. "I no longer feel qualified to lead our struggle so it is my privilege to present you with our new leader. Our new Führer… … Adolf Hitler." The crowd cheered and applauded at the news of this. With that said he stepped down off stage as Hitler got up on said stage.
September 26, 1923
We see Hitler taking a photo shoot in front of his flag. "No, no, a little higher." He raised his arm up. "That's good. That's very good." The photographer said as a flash filled the room. "Beautiful, marvelous." With that the shoot was over.
He looked through every photo finding the right one. "No. No. Yes." He said as he stared at the front shot of him saluting.
"Wonderful choice, my Führer, but don't you think… this look is better?" The photographer asked.
"Excuse me, Herr Hitler, a message from Bavarian Prime Minister Von Kahn." The messenger called out as he handed the letter to the guard who then proceeded to deliver it to the man himself.
The men around the table waited for him to finish reading the letter as he sat down. "It seems I'm being asked to cancel my speeches. Not asked, ordered." He tossed the letter to Goering.
"The Chancellor wants to pay war reparations and honor the Treaty of Versailles. As a consequence, the people are ready to riot. Kahr has ordered a state of emergency. Placed himself in charge. He adds… "If Hitler speaks, it may only stir things up."" This caused Hitler to scoffed.
"Stir things up. Stir things up?" He looked at the messenger. "Have you been to the marketplace? Do you know how much it costs for a loaf of bread these days? Five hundred thousand marks. The wheelbarrows aren't big enough to carry the money in! And he's afraid I'll stir things up?" He stood up from his seat and walked towards the messenger. "You tell Commissar Kahr this is not a time for silence, this is a time for revolution." He left the room in silence.
"Right, well, I suppose that leaves me." Ernst spoke as he followed Hitler.
He found Hitler laying on a couch. "I know you're upset." Ernst said as he entered Hitler's bedroom. "Of course you are. Commissar Von Kahr is acting rashly. Herr Hitler, you mustn't take it personally. We both want the same thing. Right now Von Kahr thinks that he doesn't need you. You must be clever and show him that he does. That you have the support of the people. Hm?" Yet he remained silent. "I want to show you something." He handed him a newspaper. "This is an article by an editor named Fritz Gerlich that is, on the whole, complimentary." He took the paper as Ernst sat down on a chair near him. "Everyone who's anyone reads him and… he also happens to Write Commissar Von Kahr's speeches." That caught his attention. "I think you should pay him a visit."
Gerlich Residents
"I baked these this morning. I hope you like them." Ms. Gerlich said while placing the plate of baked goods before him and her husband. "You must have been very brave, Herr Hitler." His cup of tea was placed before him, yet still he refused to move or respond. "The Iron Cross is no small feat." He still sat in silence. Seeing this her husband spoke up.
"Thank you, dear." With that she bowed and left the room leaving the two men alone. "I've heard you speak…, Herr Hitler. You're very persuasive. You know, we share some beliefs - the need for a political leader, strong voice to guide."
"Yes, well, we need someone to take charge… " He broke his own silence. " …throw out this Treaty of Versailles, refused to pay the war reparations."
"War reparations. I agree with that." Gerlich said as he wrote in his notepad catching Hitler's attention.
"What's that?"
"It helps me to keep notes during an interview."
"What?"
"That way when I get back… "
"This isn't an interview." Hitler interrupted. "What made you think that?" Silence filled the room as he stood up and walked towards the window. "Kahr's a fool. I know he's your friend, but he has to realize I am not the enemy. If he wants to make a stand against Berlin. Fine. I won't stop him. In fact… …I should be his partner."
"But you have fundamental areas of disagreement. You both wish to lead."
"Lead?" He interrupted. "I have no ambition to lead. So long as Kahr keeps us a place in his government, that's all we want." He walked to the table. "A little… little piece of the cake, as it were." He sat down and took one of the cookies and took a bite. As he chewed he looked over at Gerlich. "You know… you know we could use a man like you. You could perhaps… write… for us." Gerlich nodded.
"On behalf of the Nationalist Socialist Party."
"Yes."
"But I don't write propaganda." Hitler tossed his snack aside quickly.
"Who said anything about propaganda? I'm talking about the truth. Look around you. Immigrants, Jews. Stealing everything we work for."
"The German Jews? Any party that comes to power will surely guarantee that… "
"We're talking about Jews here!" He yelled at the man. "They're not citizens. They have no rights. You are supposed to be a Nationalist. You should know better. I will never compromise on the Jews. Never."
"He's insane. A complete psychotic. He may be a compelling speaker on stage but… in person I could see into his eyes and what I saw was… terrifying." Gerlich said to Kahr as they sat in a fancy restaurant.
"And I intend to shut him down." He said with confidence.
"With all do respect, Commissar Von Kahr… you need to handle him with care." Gerlich warned.
"Don't worry, I will. I know how to deal with Adolf Hitler.
We see a group of Reds marching down the street until the brownshirts confront and beat them. "There were over forty political murders last weekend. Reds killing SA. SA killing Reds. General Von Lossow and Colonel Seisser here are very concerned, as am I."
"Well, if my party had a voice in your government, perhaps we might find less ways of expressing ourselves." He explained to Commissar Von Kahr.
"Which is exactly what I'm prepared to offer you. In… a few weeks' time, General Von Lossow and Colonel Seisser intend to march on Berlin. A putch to bring the national government under our control." He led them to sit down at the table. "Would you like to be part of that putch?"
"Yes, of course." Kahr leaned forward.
"Then you must be very quiet. You can speak… give the impression of business as usual. But you must also promise me… if you wish to play any part in our government, there will be no more violence. Berlin mustn't believe we have designs against them."
"You have my full support."
"Just keep your men quiet." He spoke to Röhm as he helped another man with his workout.
"I can't do that."
"Of course you can. You're the leader, they listen to you. I pay them to listen to you." Röhm grabbed the bar and placed it back up on the holds interrupting him.
"It's not a question about money, it's the principle. If there's a Red anywhere near, there's going to be a fight." Röhm explained.
"Look… I don't care how you do this… just keep them quiet." With that he made his way out of the gym. He looked to Hess and spoke when they got outside. "He won't listen. We have to find some other way, some kind of figurehead."
"I believe I have someone in mind my Führer." Hess caught his attention.
"Make it tighter." He told the tailor and looked at Hess. "So, how is your father, Hess?"
"Very well General Ludendorff, he sends his best." The general nodded and looked over at the other man.
"Who is this?" Hess presented the man.
"May I present Herr Hitler, to you, sir? I believe you met before at one of Captain Goering's soirees." The general looked at the mirror that showed the reflection of Hitler as he stood still for his measurements.
"Oh, yes. Er, what can I do for you? No, no, that's too tight. Let it out." Hitler approached the elder man.
"Your Excellency is the… our… heroic leader of the Nationalist Right, while I'm but its spokesman."
"No, more, more, I can't breathe." The general spoke to the designer while still listening to him.
"I was wondering if I could perhaps discuss a little plan I have, we're confident of gaining Your Excellency's support." He finished leaving the general confused.
"Support? For what?"
"We're planning a transference of power. Bavarian Commissar Von Kahr has seen the wisdom of joining the National Socialist for a march on Berlin." He finished explaining leaving the general surprised.
"Well… good for you. Those idiots at the Reichstag haven't learned their lesson, so… kick them out. We need true Germans running this country again, like we had with Bismarck… " He reached out for a cigar and lighter. "I knew him, you know. Hm." The cigar ignited and he took a huff of it. "My God, what a man." He released a puff of smoke and turned towards Hitler. "So… what's your plan? And can you carry this off? I won't be made a fool of, you know." He warned him as Hitler bowed.
"Your Excellency, we are confident of our success." The general nodded and began to walk away. "By the way, I'm speaking next week… at the Circus Krone. I would be honored if you would be my guest." He spoke, catching the old man's interest.
Circus Krone
November 1923
The audience applauded at Hitler as he made it on stage. He raised his hands to settle the crowd down. Soon he began to speak. "For many years, my friends, I was like a prisoner - blindfolded, fending off flaws from every direction. What had I done to deserve this treatment? I did not know who my enemy was. An innocent victim of greed and of hatred and of cunning!" The crowd cheered for him. "In recent years we have all suffered like this. Germany more than any of us." The room filled with applause. "Yet there is no need to live in darkness. The turning point in my life was when the blindfold was ripped from my eyes." The German people cheered him on. "And I could see my enemy. Our enemy - the Jew! We recognise him. We recognise him." In the audience some people tried to exit the building but were stopped by the brownshirts.
"Nobody leaves. No-one." The guard told the couple.
"We see how his filth and his greed have staggered the heart of this great country." And Hitler could see them trying to leave as the sweat fell across his face. "We must crush this vermin! We must wipe this plague from our nation! What we say tonight will soon be forgotten. What we do will live on for a thousand, thousand years!" The people cheered for him the loudest they have ever done as he finished his speech.
He took a moment to let it all in and marched behind the curtain. As he made it to the backstage he was handed a towel and glass of water. With his inner circle applauding him as he down the liquid. He looked back up and saw most of them had worried expressions causing him to raise and eyebrow.
"What's the matter?" He said as he walked around the table.
"Lossow has said we have to wait two more weeks before they take action." Röhm spoke first as Hitler wiped his face of sweat.
"Seisser was in Berlin." Ernst spoke up. "Some important meeting."
"Kahr wouldn't see me." General Ludendorff finished. "But in two days he intends to address all the right-wing political factions at one of their beer halls. All of them, that is, except you. He's outfoxed you, lad." Hitler's fist clenched the glass that was in it and brought it up to his lips. They've made a fool out of him as he was blinded again with false promises. He allowed the old man to continue as he walked towards the curtain and pulled some of it back for him to peak out into the crowd. "He clearly intends to form a coalition with all of your competitors and create a new government without you. He brought you into this simply to keep you quiet."
He nodded to the old man as he watched the crowd with his rage boiling inside. "We'll move without them, then. We'll seize Munich. We'll march on Berlin. The people are with us. Listen to them." The men did as he told as he took another drink and tossed the glass on the table. "Gentlemen, our time has come." With that he marched back to the stage causing the crowd to cheer for him with his men following behind him. As he stood upon the stage he saluted with his men following his example soon the whole building saluted back to him with the room going silent.
Hofbrauhaus Beer Hall
November 8, 1923
We see Hitler and his men looking down at the map going over the plan once more. "I'll confront Kahr here." Hitler pointed. "Röhm and his men wait here. We surround the barracks… then attack… Once the situation is secure, I'll telephone Röhm here at the beer hall." He allowed Röhm to continue.
"Half of my men will cut the lines at the telephone exchange. The rest of us will secure the military barracks."
"No information in or out of Munich unless I say so." Hitler finished as he looked at the crowd in the beer hall. "Gentlemen… I know this is often said and deeply felt… but none more deeply than tonight - may God and the people of Germany be with us." He was met with their applause. He looked over at Röhm and reached out for his hand and shook it. "We're brothers, you and I. Together we will make history."
Burgerbraukeller Beer Hall
The same night
"I couldn't sleep last night worrying about this speech." Mr. Gerlich said while handing the papers to Kahr. "His popularity's rising. If people don't hear the truth… "
"Don't worry. They will. Tonight we unify the other parties and put an end to Adolf Hitler." He walked up on stage and waved towards the crowd.
Hitler's men marched down the streets with only the sounds of their boots echoing around them into the night. Like a wolf stalking its prey no one dared stop them as they marched towards the beer hall.
"Gentlemen, history has brought us to the edge of chaos… and now we have a choice. Or we can with courage and faith, leap… " The sound of footsteps approaching into the beer hall caught his attention. He soon found out that leading the group of men was Hitler himself. He stood upon a stool as his men blocked the entrance and fired a single shot in the air to catch and silence everyone in the beer hall. He stood before the Reds and spoke up in a loud proud voice.

"The national revolution has begun." He lowered his handgun. "The building is surrounded. No-one may leave." He stepped down. "Any trouble, you will be shot." He gave his final words as he walked closer to Kahr along with the rest of the faction leaders. With each step closer Kahr could see Hitler's eyes locked on to him so full of hatred and betrayal. "Inside." He spoke. "Inside!" His temper was at his limit as he waved the gun towards them to head to the back. As Kahr was walking towards the back his eyes locked with Gerlich. As they closed the door Captain Goering took center stage dressed in a black leather Nazi uniform armed with a MG08 (that's what it looks like in the scene watch the movie the name is down below.).
"Stay calm. Remain in your places. We have the building surrounded." He commanded the crowd.
Backstage
Hitler looked back at Hess. "Get me Ludendorff." He nodded and closed the door. As he walked around the room he placed his gun on the table. "Sorry to surprise you like this, but then you're no stranger to intrigue, are you? I am forming a provisional Reich government. I will be in charge of the police, General Ludendorff will be in charge of the army, and I will have a post for each of you." He walked back to the table and picked up the gun. "I need your support."
"You seem to have planned this well. And where is General Ludendorff? If he supports you as you say he does… Why is he not here?"
General Ludendorff residents
"Oh, so the little man pulled it off, did he?" Hess nodded. "Give me a moment." With that the General went to get dressed.

The crowd was beginning to become increasingly impatient as the clock rolled by. "Keep your heads! Stay calm!" Goering addressed the crowd.
Backstage
"He's a little late." Kahr was beginning to get on his last nerves.
"Gentlemen, please?" He could hear Goering outside if Ludendorff doesn't show up this plan will be ruined.

"What's going on?" Röhm's patience was running thin as he waited for the call.

"Are you sure he's coming at all?"
"Shut up!" Was Hitler's only reply. "Where is he!" He repeated in his head. Outside the crowd was getting more restless as Goering tried to control the crowd.
"Stay calm! Take your seats. Sit down!"
"Ludendorff's here." A man called out from the crowd. Soon enough everyone watched as the General walked towards the backstage.
"He's here." Hess said as he walked through the door.
Hitler gave a nod and waved the three out of the room and walked on stage with the general and Hitler trailing behind them. As they stood in place in front of the crowd Hitler stood in the middle of them and spoke loud for all to hear. "Your leaders are with us. Will you join them?! Will you stand behind us?! The German revolution begins tonight!" The room was quiet until claps of approval emerged and evolved into applause.
Hofbrauhaus Beer Hall
The telephone rang loud enough to break the silence in the beer hall as Röhm answered it. "Yes? Good." With that he hung up and looked around the beer hall. "Let's go, men."
Men began to load up onto trucks and march down the street unaware that an officer caught sight of them. "There's an armed group heading towards the barracks."
4:32am
As Röhm and his men approached the barracks he noticed how quiet it was but decided to ignore it until a shot was fired at the car. He jumped off and saw men in the windows firing down upon them. He quickly realized that this was a trap. "Fallback!" He shouted as some of his men opened covering fire for them to retreat. "Out of my way!" He shoved one of the men out of his way as they retreated.
Burgerbraukeller Beer Hall
"What do you mean they fell back? I can't believe this is happening. Nobody does anything right." He shouted as he walked towards the entrance as he walked past Gerlich.
"Where's your conscience?" He barely gave the man a passing glance.
"Conscience. A Jewish invention, sir." He replied. "Conscience." As he left Kahr approached Ludendorff.
"Do you mind if we visit our wives, General? They'll be worried."
"Of course, of course, mustn't worry, poor woman."
6:31am
Hitler and his men marched down the streets as people watched on the side wondering what was the commotion about. Soon enough he came upon Röhm and his men. "What the hells happening?" Hitler demanded as Röhm walked up to him.
"There are too many of them. Somebody must have betrayed us." Soon enough both men saw Ludendorff walking towards them.
"What are you doing here? Where's Kahr and the others?"
"Oh, I let them go. Their wives were a concern. That's all right. They gave me their word they wouldn't notify the authorities."
"Good God!" He was playing a fool and he had a small amount of time to fix it. "Follow me. We'll take to the streets. We'll take to the streets. We'll go to the War Ministry. There were eight thousand people at the Circus Krone the other night. As soon as they know what's happened, they will support us." He had to fix this.
As they marched closer to the War Ministry they noticed the military mobilized and blocked them. It was a standoff between the old guard and the new. Hitler wrapped his arms around his men's beside him until they were linked together as the old guard ready their rifles as did his. Soon enough Hitler took the first step towards them leading his men.
"Fire!" One word was all it took and bullets were exchanged between both groups.
"Hurry up. Retreat!" Röhm called out and pointed at Hitler. "Get him out of here!" They dragged him towards a car and shoved him inside.
"Go! Drive!" He yelled at the driver as he held his wounded arm. As soon as they were out of the city he collected himself. "I know a safe place. Turn right up ahead." As the driver made it to Ernst residence he stumbled out of the car and towards the door. He banged against it for a few moments and shoved the door open. After that he saw the maid screaming at him as he waved the gun around him like a drunk man. He stumbled past her and walked deeper inside the household. He could hear his own voice bouncing around his head seeing allusions until he saw a group walking down the stairs. He aimed his handgun at the group and for a moment his head cleared as he saw leading the group was Ernst's wife. Soon enough he fell to his knees.
"Frieda! Frieda, stop it! Shut up! Shut up! Now take the children outside. Go on now." He could hear her voice in the background as he walked deeper inside. He saw movement in the corner of his eyes, he moved his gun towards it and saw that it was his own reflection and watched it for a few moments. He slowly moved the gun towards his right and moved his head towards Ernst's wife and began to advance towards her. As he did he pulled the gun towards himself until it was against his head.
She watched as he stood before her with a gun pointed at his head all he had to do was pull the trigger. "Frau Hanfstaengl. Open the door! We know he's in there!" Yet she ignored them as she reached for the gun and took the gun from him. It was at that moment he broke down before her and collapsed on his knees as the police walked inside and dragged him outside leaving her alone. As they left she released her breath and fell to her knees.
Three months later
"Herr Hitler." The guard called out as he placed his food through the opening. With no response the guard slammed the opening and spilled the food on the floor of the call with the others.
"Of course, that's what… that's exactly what they want…" He said to himself.
Hanfstaengl residents
"He's on a hunger strike. If he doesn't testify or worse, if he dies, they'll come after everyone including us." Ernst explained.
"You're out of your mind."
"Helene, someone has to answer for the putsch. For God's sake, it was treason. He won't listen to his men, but he likes you. All you have to do is shore up his confidence."
"No."
"Helene! Our lives, our future, depend on this."
We see Hitler being escorted towards the visitor area. "Like anybody cares." He repeated in his head until he saw her. Dressed in black waiting for him. As he walked inside and sat down beside her she placed a little gift for him.
"I baked these myself." They sat there in silence. "You mustn't lose hope. So many people believe in you." He gave a smug smile and looked at her.
"Do you?" She collected herself for a moment.
"The first time I saw you… I knew that you were a great… man." He reached out for her hand and held it. After it was all said and done he watched her leave as he was escorted back to his cell.
Munich, Germany
February 24, 1924
We see Hitler being escorted inside the courthouse as reporters asked him questions along with the bright camera flashes. "There he is." Someone called out as he walked into the Courtroom. He sat down beside his colleagues and waited for the judge to speak.
"Let us proceed. General Ludendorff… you have been accused of high treason. How do you plead?"
"Not guilty."
"Adolf Hitler… you have been accused of high treason. How do you plead?" The room began to mumble and whisper as they waited for his answer. He looked towards his partners to Kahr and to the judges. And broke the silence with a whisper.
"Guilty." Stunning the crowd. The judge slammed the gavel.
"Herr Hitler, are you a German citizen?" He looked back at the crowd.
"Are you talking about a piece of paper or the blood that runs through my veins?" Causing a little chuckle from them.
"Answer the question." His smile disappeared.
"No."
"In November of last year you led a putsch against the Bavarian state and German Reich. You coerced and threatened Commissar Kahr, General Lossow and Colonel Seisser. You have been accused of high treason and called an enemy of the state."
"If a thief takes your money and you take it back… does that make you also a thief?" The judges nodded along with him. "In 1918 we were betrayed by the November Criminals, the ones who claim to be our leaders. They ended the war, signed the Treaty of Versailles. And that… was high treason." He was met with applause.
The lawyer looked towards the judges. "This is supposed to be an interrogation, not a speech." The judge raised his hand silencing him and let Hitler continue.
"I was simply taking back… that which was stolen from us five years before. Namely the right… the right to defend ourselves against the wishes of an incapable parliament. I used no force. I used no force. I was supported by Commissar Kahr. Why isn't he on trial?" The room remained silent. "If I'm guilty of anything… then I am guilty of fighting to defend the rights of the German people." He said as many eyes landed on Kahr.
Munich Germany
March 1924
"I demand freedom!" He pointed at Commissar Kahr. "They are the ones who deserve to be hung!"
He walked back and forth reading "The Nationalist Socialist Party Will Lead Us Into The Abyss!" He threw the paper across the cell and pointed at it and one word spilled forth from his lips. "Traitor!" This will cause a set back on his plans.
April 1, 1924
"General Ludendorff…" The general stood up as the judge called upon him. "the court finds you not guilty and releases you from custody." The courtroom cheered as he gave a sigh of relief. "Herr Hitler…" The room remained silent as his name was called out. "The court finds you guilty of treason." The occupants in the room were at a disagreement with the judge's answer. "You are hereby sentenced to a fine of 200 gold marks… and five years in Landsberg prison." The crowd started to boo at the judge. "You will… be eligible for parole… in nine months." The crowd cheered at the news as the judge finished.
(Hey you, yes you, congratulations you read through part one of the movie. Don't worry Esdeath will come along soon so sit back relax take a break from reading. Alright are you done… good now on with the show.)
April 1924
Landsberg Prison
The metal door opens as both Hitler and the guard walk into his new cell. "This way please Herr Hitler. There's a court yard you can exercise in. You're welcome to have as many visitors as you like. Sir Hess is living next-door and can serve as your secretary during your stay here. If there's anything we can do to make you comfortable please let us know." He noticed Hitler was staring at the vase of flowers that sat on the table. "Is there something wrong, sir?"
"They're dying… take them away I don't like dying things around."
"Yes, sir." He grabbed the vase and removed it from the table. "And if I may say so, sir. It's an honor to serve you, sir." He smiled and jested towards the other vase of flowers. The guard saw this, and grabbed the other vase and walked out the door leaving him to his thoughts for a moment until Hess walked through the doorway.
"Welcome my Führer." He smiled at the man as he sat on his new bed.
"Thank you Hess. Well it's lovely isn't it. Only two things are missing an audience and an ink quill. Perhaps I'll write a memoir." He tossed his journal on the table and looked towards Hess. "What do you think?"
"I think it's an excellent idea."
"Good. Then I need a publisher. Time to make a call to an old friend."
Some time passed
We see Ernst standing before Hitler and Hess as they look through papers. With Hess typing away on a typewriter and Hitler reading the papers while eating chocolate. "Austria is lovely this time of year isn't it." Hitler asked as he grabbed another piece of chocolate and took a bite while watching Ernst.
"I was… I escaped by pure luck. I thought my being outside might be helpful…"
"Yes, yes, how very generous of you. As a consequence, I've seen more of your wife lately than of you." He interrupted Ernst's poor excuse.
"Yes, she's a great admirer of yours."
"And you're not?" He questioned causing the room to go silent.
Ernst swallowed the lump in his throat. "Of course I am. You know I'd do anything for your…" Hitler raised an eyebrow. "...our cause." He nodded his head and jesters towards Hess.
"I'm writing my memoirs." Hess handed Ernst a stack of papers. "Four-And-A-Half Years Against Stupidity, Lies and Cowardice. Effective title, don't you think?" He finished as he took another bite of chocolate waiting for his answer.
"Yes, yes, it's very good. You might consider shortening it a bit…"
"Ah, you see? You see?" He asked Hess while pointing at Ernst. "You're good at these kinds of things. That's why I want you to be my publisher." He interrupted with a smile on his face.
"But, Herr Hitler, my family only publishes art books. Besides I'm taking Helene and the children to America." His smile disappeared as quickly as it appeared.
"No, you're not. I'm tired of you running out on me all the time."
"Our daughter's very ill…" He tried to explain but was cut short.
"Now you listen to me…" He stood up and walked towards Ernst. "I've kept your name out of this. It would be very hard on your family if you were suddenly in prison too, don't you think?" He threatened. "You can stay and help me with my book." He handed him the rough draft again.
"Now that you're absent, the Party lacks leadership. And since my name has been closely tied to it, I feel I must continue with it. By the way, Röhm thinks it's a wonderful idea. He feels that with my political muscle behind him he can rebuild his army. I might even, at some point, run for president. You needn't worry, we'll have a place for you when you return." General Ludendorff spoke to him as he watched the rain pour down from the heavens.
"How very thoughtful of you." Hitler said while deep in thought.
Hitler marched straight into his room and walked towards Hess. "Take a letter, Hess. Party Headquarters. I hereby resign from politics. I want nothing more to do with the Party. I'm too busy writing." His words stunned Hess.
"But sir, without you, the Party is finished." He warned the Führer but he ignored it and watched the rain beat against the window as one word spilled forth from his lips.
"Exactly."
We see the two walk around the courtyard as Hess wrote down everything Hitler said. "Today it seems to me providential that fate should have chosen Braunau as my birthplace. In this little town, Bavarian by blood, lived my parents… My father, a civil servant…" He stopped and looked back at Hess. "No. Make that "dutiful civil servant." My mother, devoted above all to her children."
We see Ernst reading the rough draft by the fire. "Once, as I was strolling through the inner city. I suddenly encountered an apparition in black kaftan and black hair locks. "Is this a Jew?" was my first thought. And then my question assumed a new form. Is this a German?"
"They are strong. Stronger than we are. We need more room to live, to expand, sustain ourselves!" He shouted to the ceiling of his room as Hess types away.
We see Hitler walking along the track as Hess stood in the middle writing down every word as the inmates watched from their cell windows with interest. "Germany will either be free of Jews, or there will be no Germany! We need a leader, a man of great vision, a man with the courage to grind his enemies' bones into the dust! And he lives! He lives today! And he will lead his people to victory!" Both prisoners and guards alike applaud and cheer at the Führer's words.
Munich, Germany
December 20, 1924
The guards applauded as Hitler walked out of the prison gates and towards the car. "It's been an honour, my Führer." He shook the guards' hand and reached for the handle of the car door. Before he could open it he faced the camera and posed for the picture.
Hanfstaengl Residents
The car stopped at the household and Hitler stepped out of the car and towards the door with a gift in hand. As he knocked on the door and waited a few moments the house maid opened the door, but before she could speak he raised a finger to his lips to silence her and proceeded to walk right on in. As he walked towards the living room he could hear a lovely melody playing throughout the home.
He stopped in front of the entrance of the room and watched the scene unfold between husband and wife until a little boy caught sight of him and called out to him. "Uncle Dolf!"
"Ha, ha, ha, Egon! Merry Christmas. I have a gift for you. A gift for you. Hanfstaengl." The boy ran off with said gift. He handed his hat and coat to the maid that caught up with him. "Helene. You're looking lovely, as always." He never took his eyes off of her as she gave him a smile and a small nod.
"Herr Hitler. What a surprise."
"Did they make you break rocks in prison?" The boy asked as the tea was being served.
"No, no, Egon, but I did something much harder than that." He grabbed his tea that Helene offered. "Thank you." He looked down at the boy. "I wrote a book…" The boy looked up at his father.
"Are you publishing it, Daddy?"
"No, I'm afraid not, Egon. We only publish art books." The boy looked back at Hitler.
"You mean there aren't any pictures?" The boy sounded a little disappointed hearing his father's answer.
"No, no. No, pictures. But it will sell very well and whoever publishes will make a lot of money." Hitler spoke as he looked at the boy's father.
"Herr Hitler, if you wish to talk about business or politics…" Before he could finish speaking he was interrupted.
"Of course not. It's Christmas. That's not why I came."
"Mommy!" A voice called out up the stairs.
"Would you excuse me, Herr Hitler? Our daughter's not been well. We've both been up all night." Helene said as she stood up to answer her daughter's call, but was stopped by her husband.
"No. No. I'll go. You rest." With that he left the room leaving his family alone with Hitler.
"Is she very ill?" He said as guilt surrounded him as he fiddled with thumbs.
"Yes." The guilt wasn't mixing well with his nervousness. "We don't… We don't know what's wrong with her."
"By God forgive me for what's about to happen." He thought to himself. "Helene…" He grabbed her hand and kneeled before her. "I… All the time I was in prison, I thought only of you." "Say it man!" He repeated in his head. "You saved my life… when you took the gun from my hand."
"Please, Herr Hitler…" "Don't do it! She's married to someone else you idiot!" He thought to himself.
"No, please. No, no, please." He interrupted her. "I have never admired a woman as much as I admire you. You're so brave… so beautiful. You are the perfect woman, wife… and mother." He said as he poured out his heart for her leaving her speechless.
"Thank you." With that he kissed her hand as two sets of eyes watched on.
"She wants her mother." Ernst called out surprising the two.
"Mommy! Mommy!" Her daughter called out. Causing her to walk out of the room as quickly as possible with her son.
Both husband and business partner stood in the room alone as the husband walked towards his partner with a glass of alcohol. Yet Hitler didn't reach out for it. "No, you don't drink, do you? Right." There was a hint of rage in that word he threw at Hitler as he sat down. "So, tell me, what are your plans? You can only keep the fox out of the henhouse for so long. Even when he's promised he's through." He gave Hitler a smug smile.
"Yes, well, you're a publisher, or at least that's what they say. You should know better than to believe everything you read. As soon as my plans are set, you'll be the first to know. In the meantime… I'm off to the country. Happy Christmas." With the verbal assaulting done he left the room leaving Ernst with a bottle of alcohol.
Flashback Over
"Do I look like a criminal for starting this war Mr. President?" He paused for a moment then answered. "Nein! I am defending my people from you and liberating your country from the Jewish monsters that lurk within your borders! So we will march onward! Give us liberty! Or give us Death!" He shouted at the camera as the crowd of people cheered and applauded him.
The White Dragon
Her cold blue eyes watched the full moon thinking to herself with a single word echoing in her head. "Why?" The question that kept alluding her throughout her life. "Why do you keep on leaving me Tatsumi? I gave you food to eat, a roof over your head, trained you to be my equal, and yet you still refuse to love me. Why?" She looked down at the ground glaring at it soon enough she snapped and attacked it slamming her ice left hand into the ground launching chunks into the air. As the chunks started to fall around her she grabbed a chunk freezing it solid and slammed it into another shattering the two. "You bastard!" She yelled as she swung her arm around only to stop mid strike.
As she regained her focus her claws retracted along with her teeth becoming normal again. She opened her eyes once more and looked at the fightin messenger. "Y-Your new orders mistress." He handed her an envelope. She proceeded to open it and read the contents. She looked back at him.
"Never interrupt me again."
"Y-Yes mistress."
"Good we're leaving." As she walked away from the destroyed field her thoughts clouded her mind once again.
Flashback
Obersalzberg, Germany
1925
Her cold blue eyes watched and studied every object that was inside the household. This country was interesting, a little bit more advanced but still the same. It's been over a week since her "arrival" once again she had to read and write. This world is weaker than her own great beast she once fought where nothing more than pure fantasy or legend. But what this world lacks in strength they made up for it with brains and strategy.
"You know if you keep glaring at the clock I'm sure you'll turn it into ice." His voice broke her from his thoughts. Adolf Hitler was his name. A sad excuse of a man yelling for power. He yearns for his young niece but denies it. Why should she care all she wants is this world war he speaks of. Which brings her to another question.
"Just waiting."
"And what would that be…"
"This war you're proposing." She said as she looked at her left hand and saw that ice was poking through her flesh. Soon enough the ice continued to grow and mold into her new arm. She flexed her new hand and slammed it into the small table beside her, shattering it in the process startling him.
"Could you please stop breaking my furniture." Soon enough one made of ice appeared beside him. "Thank you." She nodded. "I may not rule this country yet but it is within my grasp. I have faith in my party." He smiled at her as he took a sip of his tea and placed his cup down. "Now please continue."
"Of course."
Reichstag, Berlin
Nazi Party: 3 seats
April 1925
"Hindenburg Triumphs" the paper's title read as Hitler threw it to the ground. "I'm not surprised we lost. We are running a political party without strong leadership." "You don't say." Esdeath spoke within her thoughts. Hitler turned to Hess. "Call a meeting in Munich. I want all the party leaders in attendance in three days." He said stunning Hess.
"Three days? My Führer, I don't think the leaders in the north will have enough time to organise…" Hitler thought it over.
"You're right, you're right. Make that two days." This caused Esdeath's grin to grow. "Angela, pack up your daughter's luggage. Geli's off to the city." This caused his niece to grin as well.
Soon enough the group was loading up their luggage as Esdeath examined the car. "I'm surprised a woman like you is impressed with a car." She looked over at a large round man. "Do they not have them where you are from."
"No. No they do not. We still use animals for transportation." She said causing the old man to chuckle.
"Well where are my manners. General Ludendorff at your service." He said while reaching for her white gloved hand (she's wearing a white suit and gloves and shoes).
"Everything's packed and ready to go." Hitler's voice caught their attention. Ludendorff looked back and saw her step inside the vehicle with Hitler himself soon after.
Munich, Germany
February 14, 1926
"It's unfortunate… but if my defeat forced the party to call you out of retirement, it was certainly worth it." He ignited a cigar and puffed out a lot of smoke causing Geli to cough. "Together, you and I will re-unite our shattered army." Hitler proceeded to grab the cigar and threw it out the window. "I beg your pardon." Said the confused general.
"You should beg everyone's pardon. We're in this mess because of you. We lost the putsch because you were late. You released Von Kahr so he could call in the government troops. And now this ineffective, not to say, laughable campaign." He listed off the failures he had endured because of the general's tomfoolery.
"I have never been spoken to like this in my whole life." The general was shocked by what Hitler was saying as Esdeath smiled at the old man's fall.
"Perhaps if you had, you wouldn't have turned that to be such an embarrassment!" That was the final straw for the general.
"Stop the car. Stop the car! Stop the car!" He yelled at the driver. The vehicle stopped as the General stepped out slamming the door behind him.
"So, you won't be joining us for the reunification? How very unfortunate." Hitler said with his words oozing with sarcasm causing Esdeath to grin. Soon the car left the general in the dust as he watched it leave leaving him with his thoughts.
As they entered the Beer hall his followers stood at attention as their Führer walked as some eyes wandered towards Esdeath. "Men." She thought to herself as Hitler confronted the leaders. "Ah, Gregor Strasser. How good to see you. I'm glad Berlin could spare you on such short notice. Did you know, your agitation almost cost me my parole?"
"It wasn't meant to, my Führer."
"Of course not." He said not believing him for a moment. "Have you met my niece?" He jesters towards her.
"The famous Geli."
"And this is Esdeath, the toughest person I've ever known and my neighbor in the countryside. If Ludendorff, Röhm, or I aren't around she's in charge. Does anyone oppose?" The room remained silent. "Good. This must be Herr Goebbels… the young man who so desperately wants me out of the Party." He said, causing the young man to be nervous. "Take care of her, Hess." He said as he left her with him. "I had hoped the reports of your bickering had been exaggerated. Sit, sit."
"Where's Ludendorff?" Röhm called out.
"He's feeling unwell. But I'm glad the rest of you could come. The purpose of this meeting, gentlemen, is to solidify the party under me. I expect your full support. We must enter the government by legal means then we can take it apart. Our new policy is to win elections. Agitation is a thing of the past."
"Meaning what?" Röhm spoke up.
"The SA are to be bridled, Ernst. They may sing, march, carry flags, but they must keep calm unless I say otherwise." He explained to him.
"We're not a Sunday shooting club, Adolf, we're a militia." Röhm explained.
"Not any more. My personal security will now be handled by the SS. Your men give off the wrong impression."
"I don't give a damn about impressions. But without the SA, without us, our loyalty…"
"The wheels of history have turned!" He yelled, silencing him. "The plan has changed." Hitler interrupted.
"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that." He replied with sarcasm. With that he gave off a salute and walked out. As Esdeath watched it all unfold. "Does anyone else wish to leave?" The room remained silent. "During my absence, you fought, you bickered, you made no progress whatsoever." He marched out of the backroom and into the main room and passed his followers with Esdeath following suit. "Therefore, I propose to relieve you of the responsibility of leadership. The interests of this movement, from now on, will be my concern. If I should fail, I will stand down. But I will not fail." He stood at the exit and faced his men. "In this struggle, there are but two possible outcomes. Either the enemy passes over our body, or we will pass over theirs! If I should fall… wrap my body in the swastika banner." He walked out. "Sieg heil!"
"Sieg heil!" The men called out.
Two months later
"I don't understand. What's the point? Why should I campaign for others?" Hitler complained as he watched the party go on.
"You can't run for president, my Führer, unless you have your citizenship. You can't get your citizenship unless you have friends in the Reichstag. These people want to invest in you, not the Party. You're the most visible symbol we have." Yet Hitler's attention was not on the man but on Helene for she seemed to have a look of trouble on her face.
"Excuse me." With that he took off towards her. He reached out for her. "Are you all right?"
"I'm fine." She lied as she put on a smile.
"I was so sorry to hear about your loss. She was such a beautiful child."
"Well, this party's been a relief, really. It's given me something else to think about. It's tomorrow, when there's nothing to do, that I dread."
"Then perhaps I can help." Ernst could see what the Führer was doing as he walked around the piano and towards them until an Asian woman with blue hair stopped him. Upon further inspection she had creamy smooth white skin, sky blue hair, along with a golden (Mac Duggal) starburst sequined sheath gown that showed off her curves and a good amount of leg to be seen from the slit of the dress. The color blended well with her skin tone and hair.
"Herr Hanfstaengl, I've been meaning to ask. That was quite a nice melody you've just played."
"I'm sorry but who are you?" He asked the strange woman.
"Oh silly me the name's Esdeath."
"Ah yes, you're Hitler's neighbor correct?"
"Yes of course."
"How did you two meet exactly?"
"He came over for some supplies and the rest was history." He paid little attention to her as he watched Hitler. "Foolish man, how could he not see that he already lost her." She thought as she followed his eyes.
Hitler introduced the elder man. "Herr Weidman is helping us acquire some property in the centre of town. With your undoubted skill as a hostess, perhaps you might like to help him raise funds?" She looked at her husband and saw him look away.
"I'd be honoured. Yes. Yes. thank you." She smiled causing him to smile back.
"Good."
Hitler's New Headquarters
1929
"And this will be our Führer's office. Grand, spacious, inviting in the sun. As he does." The crowd chuckled. "We need your support as we begin our campaign for seats in the Reichstag. But before we rebuild our nation, we must first rebuild our party. And what better place to start than here?" The crowd applauded her for her words. As the crowd parted Helene's husband wrapped his arms around her.
"It's like you've been doing it your whole life. I'm so proud of you." He kissed her cheek.
"Thank you." She smiled.
"Let's celebrate. Just us. We'll go to the cabaret." Her smile disappeared.
"Oh, I don't think the cabaret's a place we should patronize nowadays, do you? Besides, I have to work late." She explained.
"Right. Of course."
Election Campaign
1929
She never thought campaigning would be so dull. The speeches of promises, the handshaking, the photo shoots and yet these gullible people ate it up like bread and cheese. But the most interesting thing about this was his niece and the driver. Those fools, love at first site was nothing more than a waste of time. She knew that they had a thing for each other but so did Hitler. Oh what a drama she couldn't wait to see how it ends as she watched Hitler speak with his niece about the new home.
Hitler opened the curtains. "This will be your new bedroom. You may decorate as you wish, you'll be spending a lot of time here." He walked towards the entrance. "Unless you're with me, then a bodyguard must accompany you at all times. This is a dangerous world, Geli." He faced her and smiled. "And I'm here to protect you." With that he left with Esdeath following suit (the outfit is the same but more Nazi like and white) leaving the guard to close the door.
Stock Market Crash
October 1929
Esdeath walked along the streets observing life in this world. "There, take it!" A voice called. Upon further inspection she found an old woman arguing with a vendor as she threw money at the man. "Now I have nothing left!" This caused her to smile cause when the money runs dry war is not that far behind. "Come on out all of you!" Another voice called out. She watched the SA kick more Jews out of the apartments.
Headquarters
"The opposition papers are implying things about your relationship with your niece." Hitler rolled his eyes. "Fufufu, oh how wrong you are my Führer." Esdeath thought as she followed close behind them
"Trust these Jews to paint everyone as dirty as they are."
"But it's not just them. People in the party are also beginning to object…" He had enough of these lies.
"She's my niece, for God's sake! We go to the opera together!" He yelled at him as the room went quiet. The only one amused at his outburst was Esdeath watching him as he marched back to his office.
"Oh what a drama." She thought as the scene unfolded for her. The niece tried to save her lover from her uncle's wrath. "No! Please! Uncle… He didn't mean anything! I swear. Uncle. Please. Please, you're crazy. He's not…" Hitler looked at her and yelled out.
"Shut up!" He turned towards the young man that was kissing his niece who was reaching for his hat. "Leave it!" He did as he was told and walked up the road unaware of Hitler raising his handgun at his back. Before he could pull the trigger his niece stood between them.
"No… Please." She begged him. He lowered the gun and took a deep breath looking around to see if anyone saw what had happened.
"See him again and I'll have him killed."
"Please. I want to go home. I don't want to be here any more." She pleaded to him as he put the gun away.
"Of course you do."
"No. I don't! I can't stand this any more. You won't let me do anything, you won't… let me make friends! You won't let me go out on my own. I'm sick of your speeches. I'm sick of your parties! I'm sick of you!" He grabbed her shoulders.
"Listen to me!" He took a deep breath. "You're different from other girls. You're sweet." He fixed her hair. "Sweet and innocent." Crest her face. "And you don't understand what men like that want to do." He wrapped his arm around her and smiled. "Now, your Uncle Dolf is here to protect you. You will never be left alone with a man like that again." With that they walked away from the scene as he looked over his shoulder he spotted a shade of blue and smiled.
Later that night
The sounds of agony could be heard throughout the forest as he was tossed in front of Hitler. "Please!" He cried out as he crawled towards him. His body was covered in bruises along with cuts, and pieces of ice sticking out of him. Before he could touch Hitler's shoe he stepped on the young man's hand causing him to scream out in pain only to be yanked back by his hair. "P-Please…" he called out to him again but was interrupted by a fists to the face. As he regained his thoughts he spit out a glob of blood as he saw Hitler's face was neutral.
"You know I trusted you to watch over my niece while I was busy, but what do I find…" He grabbed the man's lower jaw so he could look him in the eye. "Your lips all over her! Haha, the funny thing is when I first saw you eyeing her I thought it would stay there… but no it didn't. So here's the deal. You'll work under General Esdeath until you die, do you understand." Not getting a straight answer he aimed at the man's shoulder and pulled the trigger causing him to scream in pain. "I said do you understand!"
"Yes!"
"Yes what?"
"Yes my Führer!" He pats the boy's face.
"Good. Good, now stay in line otherwise your new mistress will kill you in front of my niece and we don't want her to see that now do we."
"N-No my Führer." He smiled at the young man.
"Goodman. Now enjoy your time with your mistress." With that said he walked into the shadows leaving him there until a woman with blue hair stepped out of the shadows grinning from ear to ear.
"Hello pet."
Reichstag Election
Nazi Party: 107 Seats
September 14, 1930
Nazi Party Headquarters
Hitler circled around the room with a smile on his face. "Six-and-a-half million votes. 107 seats. We're the second biggest party in the Reichstag." He addressed the crowd as they applauded him. Soon after he made his way towards his colleagues as the people danced around the room. "Herr Goebbels, how could I have done this without you? How would you like to be my new Minister of Information?"
"I'd be honoured, my Führer."
"Hanfstaengl, your wife has prevailed upon me to promote you too. I thought Press Secretary might suit you." Ernst smiled.
"Thank you, Herr Hitler." This caused Hitler to smile. Yes everything was working out fine until Hess got his attention and whispered in his ear.
"Excuse me, my Führer. Geli was caught outside getting into a taxi. She told the driver to take her to the train station." He looked back at his partners.
"Excuse me for a moment." With that he walked away towards the entrance. As he made it to the car he saw Esdeath standing near it smiling and opened the door. "Thank you." And closed it behind him and walked inside the building. "You must never ever, ever try anything like that again." He grabbed her hand causing her to tense up. "Do you understand me? Now, listen. Listen, listen, listen." He said trying to calm her down as he crests her hand. "I had a dog like you once. Couldn't get it into her head who her master was. Kept running away. So I penned her, she escaped. I beat her, she tried to bite me. I chained her and she strangled herself." He brought her hand to his lips and kissed it. "She was stupid, Geli. Don't be stupid." Before she could think he lunged at her and claimed her lips thrusting his tongue inside claiming her mouth while muffling her cries. As he got out of the car he turned towards the guard. "Take her home." With that he went inside.
As they arrived back home she stared at the gun in her hand that she took from him and thought back to what her uncle said. "Don't be stupid Geli."
"Why? Why do you have to be stupid!?" He cried out to her as he wore Geli's sweater.
"We can't leave it like this old man. It's not right. And I can't bear it. You can't bear it? And quite frankly it's sickening." The old man was showing weakness for this silly emotion. Her words caught his attention.
"What about me? What about me? It was my gun!" He yelled at her. "This is all I have left." He showed her one of Geli's pieces of clothing. "This room will not be touched."
"But, my Führer…"
"Don't you see?" He interrupted her. "The goddess of history is watching over everything I do now. Everything. Everything."
February 26, 1932
Nazi Party Headquarters
"Your citizenship, your new German citizenship." There was an applause as Goebbels handed the Führer his citizenship. "Thank goodness your family changed its name, or else we'd all be saying "Heil Schicklgruber!"" The crowd gave off a chuckle as Hitler gave a small smile. "Here's to the next Reich's President." Goebbels announced as he removed the curtain to reveal Hitler's new campaign poster. He approached it and gave off a pause that made everyone feel uncomfortable.
"I think it's wonderful." A voice called out catching everyone's attention. "I think it makes you look brave… and strong… and determined."
Hitler gave a small smile. "Thank you, Fraulein Braun." He looked back at the poster. "I think so too." Ernst stood up catching everyone's attention.
"Heil Hitler." And saluted soon everyone followed his example.
"Heil Hitler!"
"The new German citizen. Adolf Hitler is running for President. As Hitler makes history with his Germany flight. His message is loud and clear. A vote for the Führer is a vote for the future!" The news reporter said on the television.
"Heil Hitler." The crowd cheered.
"…Lohengrin as our model and the music of Wagner as our inspiration. We will hang the profiteers. We will crush the Communists. Behind us is Germany. With us is… " The radio was turned off.
"The Führer is now running for Reich president and we're going to give him a run for his money." Gerlich said as he sat down with his co-workers. "Sepp, find out about his accounting practices, write an article about them. Maria, get on the campaign trail. Find those that have heard him speak. Speak to those that disagree."
"Herr Gerlich, I thought you said no…"
"No Hitler, yes. Temporary insanity. Am I forgiven?" The co-workers laughed.
Hitler ripped the newspaper in two and looked at Goebbels and Esdeath. "I want him stopped!" One gave a nervous nod while the other gave off a sinister grin.
April 5, 1932
Gerlich's boss slammed the newspaper in front of Gerlich. "What does this mean? You said that you would stop."
"I'm doing my job. The job of every newspaper is to reflect its time. Don't you think if we ignore…" He answered back before an object was thrown through the window and landed on the floor. The object was a smoke bomb. "Everybody out! Quick, get out. Come on. Move. Out, everybody out." As they made it outside he turned towards Gerlich. "Next time, it could be a bomb."
"But it wasn't a bomb. Don't you see they're just angry because…"
"I'm sorry, Fritz. Fritz, you're fired!" He said leaving his friend stunned as he walked away.
"Fräulein Braun is an interesting character. I mean really dressing up like the Führer's former niece." She thought to herself as watched the young woman walk around the dead niece's room from outside. "What a love sick puppy."
Hindenburg Triumphs! Hitler Defeated! The paper said. "Why the gloomy faces? 30% of the country voted for me. That's a far cry from 40 people in a beer hall." He joked, but Goering interrupted.
"But we didn't win, my Führer. Perhaps we need to rethink our strategy."
"If we don't deliver on our promises, our constituents will look elsewhere for a leader." Goebbels warned but Hitler laughed it off.
"I wouldn't worry about that. All the right-wing factions are now backing us. Hindenburg has no choice but to offer me Chancellor." But Goebbels wasn't convinced.
"With all due respect, my Führer, you and Hindenburg don't exactly see eye to eye. The Chancellorship is the second most powerful position in the land, why would he offer it to you?"
"Because of the trouble I can cause if he doesn't." Hitler explained until Röhm walked in.
"You wanted to see me, Adolf?" Hitler looked at the two others.
"Would you excuse us for a moment please, gentlemen?" The two did as they were asked and left the room. "Please sit down. Now it's very important that you don't speak." He explained as the two of them sat down on opposite sides of the desk. "Not a word. I just want you to listen. Understand?" Röhm nodded for him to continue. "I've heard some rather disturbing news about you."
"Really?"
"Shhht! Not a word. Rumour has it I'm to be used as target practice."
"Really?"
"Shut up!" He snapped at Röhm and put on a smile. He was tired of this circus act. "Let me finish, please. Over the years, the SA has become rather stubborn. As you know, I'm having a terrible time trying to steer them away from the concept of revolution. They have to be locked step behind us. They're too rebellious. So… as of this moment, I'm handling the entire problem over to you. Call it a kind of test. If you succeed, then perhaps I can forget about this whole nasty business. Clear? Thanks for stopping by." He finished not waiting for an answer. "And, Ernst…" Hitler called out causing him to turn around. "Please don't try this again." He asked nicely with a smile as Röhm walked out and passed by a smug Esdeath who was walking towards Hitler.
Once they were alone she began to speak. "Well that went rather well."
"What am I gonna do with him?"
"I could end him if you want." She suggested.
"No. No let's see how he'll play his cards. After all we are brothers in arms."
"In the political spectrum my Führer." He rolled his eyes at the comment.
"You make it seem like I can't hold a weapon properly."
Office of the President, Berlin
June 1, 1932
"The challenge facing any new Chancellor is how to deal with the National Socialists. If they paralyse the Reichstag again, which they do whenever they don't get what they want, we'll be forced to hold another election, a fourth this year." He explained to the two.
"Chancellorship is a thankless job, Your Excellency. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy."
"I know, Papen, I know." He grabbed a bell and called for the guards. "Door!" As the doors closed he looked back at the two. "Look…, I've dedicated my life to this country and I intend to leave it in capable hands, so I've asked General von Schleicher here to be my new Chancellor." Papen looked towards the general.
"Congratulations, General."
"He has turned me down." He shot down the smile from Papen's face. "He has, instead, suggested you, Franz von Papen, to be the new head of this government. You're conservative, Catholic…"
"Your Excellency, President Hindenburg, I… I'm not…" He tried to explain but was interrupted.
"Good, that's settled, then (lol talk about shoving your problems on someone else). Now… Let's begin with the largest threat to our democracy, Herr Hitler. Any suggestions?"
"Might I suggest we put him in a position where we can control him?" Papen suggested catching the President's attention.
"What position did you have in mind?"
"Vice-Chancellor?" He answered by throwing it out there.
"You must be joking." Hitler said as he watched Papen as Hindenburg and Schleicher watched on. "Do they take me as a fool!" He thought to himself as he listened to their excuses.
"Not at all. The Vice-Chancellorship is the third most-powerful position in Germany." He explained but Hitler wasn't buying it he took the position as an insult. His eyes watched the window as he saw hairs of blue peak around the corner.
"My party's popularity demands a great deal more than third place!" He said as he glared towards Hindenburg causing him to speak.
"What precisely are you asking for, sir?" Hindenburg said, holding his anger back.
"I want the Chancellorship, sir." He said with a straight face.
"Oh…" He chuckled a bit as he turned towards Pepen who was glaring at Hitler as Schleicher also chuckled as well.
"That's my job." Hitler ignored the man as he walked around him and stood in front of Schleicher.
"I wouldn't laugh, General. Perhaps I'll take your job, as well." This caused the general to become silent. He turned towards the President. "Herr Reich President, surely you can see I'm a force to be reckoned with? The sooner you appoint me Chancellor, approve my cabinet…"
"I will never appoint you Chancellor!" He yelled at him as he stood up. "How dare you presume, sir? You're nothing but a Bohemian corporal! If I made you head of this government, how would I answer to God?" Hitler took a moment and looked up at the President challenging him.
"And how will you answer to Germany if you don't?" This caused the elderly man to be silent. Taking that as his answer he turned towards the door. "Good day, sir." He stormed down the halls glaring at whatever was in front of him. "Stupid old fool. I don't care what he says to God, I only hope it's soon and in person." He looked at Goebbels. "Get me Röhm. I'll show Hindenburg what answering to God looks like."
The Senate
"Next on the Reichstag agenda. I propose a bill regarding the allocation of monies." The speaker called out. One man from the Nazi Party called out.
"Gentlemen, we're leaving." And so everyone from the party up and began to walk towards the exit seeing this Pepen jumped into action.
"By leaving, you will cause the dissolution of this elected body and once again, by law, force a new election. Stop them."
Reichstag Elections
Nazi Party: 230 seats
July 31, 1932
He walked around the center of the party with his glass in the air. "230 seats. We're the largest party in the Reichstag. We are blessed by the providence of history."
"Heil Hitler!" The crowd cheered.
"How dare he demand the Chancellorship again! I don't care how many seats Hitler holds, he will never be Chancellor as long as I am alive. The most he could be is my postmaster general. He could lick my behind when he puts on the stamps!" Hindenburg spoke to both Pepen and Schleicher.
"May I make a suggestion, Herr Vice President?" The President glared at Pepen.
"After your last suggestion, the Nazis took over the Reichstag! They're getting stronger all the time. Stronger and stronger." He walked past them and looked out the window. "They're making a mockery of our government. Of us, gentlemen, of us."
"I have an alternative, Herr Reich President. Gregor Strasser is Hitler's second-in-command. He's very well-liked in the Party. I'm sure he would be more than willing to accept the Vice Chancellorship." Schleicher explained.
"You have spoken to him?" He asked while not taking his eyes off of the window.
"Yes. He hates Hitler. This would divide the National Socialists and neutralise the Party."
"The one thing I do not want, gentlemen, is for my presidency to end in anarchy. Sorry, Papen, but I think. General von Schleicher needs to try his luck at the Chancellorship."
"Herr Reich President, please. It's clear to me he had his eye on this position all along. He only used me to flush out the enemy. Give me one more chance, sir."
"No." He shoved Pepen out of the way and spoke to Schleicher. "General, I hereby appoint you Reich Chancellor. Good luck."
Later that Night
Nazi Party Headquarters
"The Party is much more than you. You say that yourself. As Vice Chancellor, I'll block the Communists, increase our popularity." Gregor Strasser explained with joy to Hitler as he walked up to him with his hands behind his back.
"And how would you deal with traitors?" Hitler said with a smile causing Gregor to become nervous.
"I'm not a traitor, my Führer."
"Traitors are defined, Strasser, not by themselves, but by the people they betray. You will refuse Schleicher's offer and you will resign your Party position, effective immediately. Herr Graf!" The guard came forward. "Show this man out." Gregor gave one final salute and was escorted out leaving him alone.
"Fufufu. It seems that things are starting to heat up, old man." Hitler gave a sigh and closed his eyes.
"It appears so, but life is never easy, especially with you Esdeath." He turned towards her with a smile as she grins at him.
The next morning we see Hitler ripping apart another newspaper of lies in his eyes. "Argh!" He grabbed the phone. "Get me Hess."
"Adi…" Fräulein Braun called out to him. "Look. at my new skirt. You like it? I bought it today." "By God she looked just like her so innocent, so beautiful." He thought as he walked towards her and grabbed her face. "What… What…" He silences her with his lips and pulls back. "Kiss me, kiss me, yeah, kiss me. Oh…" He trailed down her body until he rested his head against her waist as she calmed him down. "Shhh…" Almost in a trance he snapped out of it startling her. "Ah!" He looked down at her as he fixed his clothing and walked towards the phone. "Set up a meeting with Von Papen." With that he hung up and walked out leaving her in the room.
Later that night
We see Pepen stepping into the car and is driven off. "Look, there is no doubt that Hindenburg made the greatest mistake of his life by appointing Schleicher Chancellor. They both publicly humiliated you. This is your chance to get even, gain that power back…" Hitler encouraged the old man.
"He'll never appoint me Chancellor again. I don't know why…" He explained but was interrupted by Hitler.
"But he would appoint you Vice Chancellor, under me. That's the point." He explained. "The cabinet would be reliably conservative. I'd leave these things to you. You're far more experienced than I. There is one minor problem, Hindenburg… Hindenburg hates me. He must be persuaded."
"If there's one thing about him that hasn't diminished with age, it's his vanity. A well-placed public letter from you could work wonders." Pepen suggested.
"And a few disruptions in the Reichstag." Hitler added in while deep in thought.
"My dear Reich's President Von Hindenburg. All the great heroes of Germany were benevolent men who loved their people, and who were loved in turn. Like Parsifal. Like Lohengrin. Like you. Germany is fortunate to have you as its leader. I give you my loyalty and my undying respect." The letter contained as Hindenburg read it.
The Senate
"Will the National Socialist Party please return to their seats? Will you please return to your seats!" Like before not even Schleicher could stop the Nazi Party from leaving.
"Schleicher, this is a price I thought you'd never have to pay." Hindenburg spoke as he watched the night sky. He looked back towards Pepen. "Get me Hitler." With that Pepen left the room.
Meanwhile
Fräulein Braun dug through Hitler's desk and found what she was looking for. She pulled it out into the moon's light. She absorbed it with interest and cocked it. Slowly and as steady as she could she placed the gun towards herself and waited for a moment. She took a breath in and pulled the trigger.
The next morning
"You mustn't misbehave like this." He jesters the nurse out of the room as he slowly approaches her.
"I'm sorry." She weakly called out.
"You could have ruined everything I worked for."
"I'm sorry, Adi, it's just that... I get so lonely and I need more time with you." She reached out for him only for him to grab her wrist. Causing her to yelp at his grip.
"You must be patient, Eva." He explained to her calmly. "I still have enemies. Even when I'm made Chancellor there are loose ends I must tie up. Do you promise to be good?" He asked nicely. She didn't give him an answer until he squeezed down harder on her wrist. "Do you promise?" He asked again in a cold tone.
"I promise."
Reich Chancellery, Berlin
January 30, 1933
"Do you solemnly swear to carry out the obligations of the office of Chancellor without Party interests and for the good of the nation?" Hindenburg recited to Hitler.
"I do."
"And do you further swear to uphold the Constitution, support the President and respect the right of the Reichstag so help you God?"
"I do."
Later that night
Hindenburg could only watch as the Nazis marched in front of the building with flags and touches singing the national anthem of Germany as Hitler saluted them. In his mind he thinks back on the actions that has resulted in this outcome. "Sieg heil! Sieg heil! Sieg heil! Sieg heil! Sieg heil! Sieg heil! Sieg heil! Sieg heil! Sieg heil! Sieg heil!"
The next morning
"We must crush this vermin. We must remove this contamination." The radio played Hitler's words loudly in the office.
"Someone please turn him off."
"Herr Gerlich." He looked down at the gentleman who walked into the room. "My name is Georg Bell. I've read your paper. We have a common enemy, you and I."
"As of today, all of Germany does." He replied sarcastically.
"I'm what you might call an angry ex-Nazi. I used to work for Röhm till he fired me." This caught Gerlich's attention.
"Yes. I heard there was a falling out."
"I wish to supply you with information. Damaging information."
Röhm stormed into the room unhappy. "This is outrageous and not a word is true."
"What are you insinuating?" Goering addressed.
"I had nothing to do with this. And you?" Röhm questions.
"This was a private internal memo about using agitation in the SA!" He yelled at Röhm. "Do you have any idea how much damage you've done?" Röhm looked towards his brother in arms.
"I don't know how Gerlich got hold of this, but if you let me go to Munich, I will find his source of information." Röhm explained trying to fix this mess, but Goebbels interrupted him.
"It's too late for that. Hindenburg read your article and called the Führer this morning. People everywhere are attacking Jewish businesses. The economy's tumbling, everyone's close to rioting, and this article is the last straw. If we don't bring this under control, and soon, Hindenburg says he'll declare martial law and he'll bring the army in to do it." Röhm tossed the paper on the desk.
"Now's the time to storm the Presidential palace, take over the government…"
"Are you mad?" Goering interrupted him. Röhm turned towards Hitler.
"Put me in charge of the Army and I'll unite them behind you. This is our chance." He called out to him causing Hitler to look at him.
"Great idea. What a great idea." His voice dripped with sarcasm. "Why didn't I think of that? Could it be because the Army considers you a swine? At the mere suggestion. They flew the Nationalist Socialist flag, rather than subordinate themselves to you." He scoffed and walked towards his desk. "You and your SA, Ernst, are nothing more than political dinosaurs. You have refused to evolve like the rest of us." He wedged the verbal knife in deep.
"Oh, believe me, Adolf, you don't want to meet what we're capable of evolving into." Röhm stormed out of the office leaving the three of them alone.
"And to think he was once a friend of yours. Now he's just one of many who can trip us up. And the list keeps growing." Goering spoke up.
"He's right, you know. Sometimes primitive force is the only way. It helps if there's some kind of legal reason behind it, of course. Something outrageous to provoke a response." He looked up at Esdeath who nodded her head at his wishes.
Later that night
The Reichstag Fire
February 27, 1933
The sounds and lights of fire filled the streets as a guard was impaled by an icey blade. The assailant pulled her blade out and flicked the blood away as she looked back up at the burning building.
The next morning
Reporters gather around asking questions to Hitler as he passes by. "Are there any suspects?"
"Has anyone been arrested?"
"What actions will you take as a result of this?"
"Could this be a Communist plot?" He ignored every last one of them.
"What happened?" He asked one of the men in charge.
"Apparently a Dutch Communist broke in and set the fire. Police have him under arrest." Ernst explained and walked off leaving Goering and Goebbels with the Führer.
"Tell Röhm he can still be of some service. You were talking about an enemies list. That's not a bad idea." He told the two that were left and walked towards the reporters. "This, this is a signal from God. We are under siege. The terrorists have opened fire and we will fire back…"
"It's good to see him so happy." Goebbels whispered to Goering as they continued to listen to what their Führer said.
"This is an outrageous crime and someone will answer for it."
The Presidential Palace
Hindenburg could only read the document that was in front of him for a fifth time. He looked towards Hitler to see him staring at the floor deep in thought. "But this completely overrides the Constitution. Effectively it puts you in charge."
"These are troubled times, sir. The Constitution could not anticipate them." Hitler looked at Hindenburg. "A national monument has been destroyed. Our democracy is under attack. If we are to wage war on these foreign infiltrators, certain civil rights must be suspended."
"When power is seized instead of bestowed, the hand that seizes it is often burned." He warned Hitler. "The Reichstag must approve this before I sign anything."
Kroll Opera House
Temporary Reichstag
"In order for the government to carry out the necessary procedures against terrorism, Reichstag must support an Enabling Act." Hitler declared as he stood on stage. "This act is your opportunity to hand power over to those who can wield it most effectively. From now on, all legislation will be handled by the Administration, which will have sole right to make constitutional changes." The other parties began to cause a fuss at what Hitler was saying. "Freedoms of speech, association, and the press are temporarily suspended. Privacy rights in relation to telephone and postal communication are revoked." Soon enough the fuss became an outcry.
"Order, order."
Meanwhile
"It's very good, sir, but use a larger typeface for Hitler." Gerlich said as his co-workers worked around the clock until Georg Bell walked into the room.
"Hitler's just called an emergency meeting of the Reichstag. He wants their approval for something he calls the Enabling Act, which will turn this country into a police state with him as absolute ruler." His words stunned the workers.
"My God. No matter what he does, he just gets stronger."
"I'll bet the Nazis set the fire themselves." His co-worker said.
"There's something I haven't told you." Georg confessed as he walked into Gerlich's office. As the door closed he looked at the two men. "Once this is out, Röhm will identify me as your source. My job as Röhm's press secretary was just a front. He hired me to get financing outside of Germany." He explained.
"Financing? For what?" The co-worker asked.
"The SA. He agreed to sign a contract with a man in London in exchange for exclusive oil imports to Germany."
"The Nazi Party was giving economic incentives to a foreign investor?" The co-worker answered.
"What happened to Germans for Germany?" Gerlich questioned.
"Exactly."
"We've got to get this news to Hindenburg. And, Bell, we've got to get you someplace safe." Gerlich looked at his co-worker. "Sepp, I've got contacts in Berlin. I'll put you in touch with them. Go home, pack your bags, go to the train station. Bell will bring my report to you there." The two men rushed out the door leaving Gerlich typing away. "We've got to hurry."
Kroll Opera House
Temporary Reichstag
"The government assumes the right to intervene in any situation to restore order. The right to draft laws passes from the Reich's President to Chancellor. I offer the Reichstag the chance for peace in Germany!" The Opera House was in chaos that even Pepen spoke up against him.
"Never! If you respect our Constitution…"
"Will the Vice Chancellor return to his seat!"
"I will take any refusal as a statement of opposition! Gentlemen, you must decide. Will it be peace, or war?!" The room became silent until one man started to sing causing the Nazi Party to do the same as well.
"Deutschland, Deutschland ber Alles ber alles in der Welt Wenn es stets zu Schutz und Trutze Brüderlich zusammenhält Von der Maas bis an die Memel Von der Etsch bis an den Belt Deutschland, Deutschland ber alles ber alles in der Welt Deutschland, Deutschland ber alles ber alles in der Welt!" Soon enough both sides of the political spectrum sang together and surrendered to Hitler.
Meanwhile
Gerlich stopped his typing and saw Röhm and his men enter the room as Röhm walked into his office and closed the door. "Everybody out." The two could hear SA harassing the workers.
"Get everyone's papers."
"Out! Out!"
"Everybody must be searched."
"Who is your source?" Röhm spoke up as he leaned over the desk.
"No-one." Gerlich said with a smile.
Meanwhile
Bell walked towards the booths to catch the train until he saw SA officers. He turned around and walked away until one of them spotted him. "Halt!"
Röhm was done playing games as he slammed Gerlich's face into his desk, and pulled it back by the hair as he looked down at him. "I said, who is your source?" He said, pulling back with each word.
"Argh!"
Bell ran up the stairs and down halls as they continued to chase him proceeding to throw luggage and people in their path.
Röhm tossed him over the desk and slammed him against the window. As he tried to crawl away Röhm continued to assault him.
Bell ran outside as the SA were hot on his trail. He entered another building and blocked the door. As he made it to the second floor he saw blue haired woman dressed in a white leather Nazi uniform. As she walked down the hall she raised her right hand towards him in a gun like position. He took a step back and her grin stretched across her face. Her lips moved but only two words came forth. "Weiss Schnabel." Sharp pieces of ice flew towards the man penetrating him causing him to slam against the window and break right through it. As Esdeath made it to the door she proceeded to kick it down startling the SA members. "That was every sloppy gentleman. Perhaps more training is in order."
"Yes mistress!" The men saluted her.
"You're dismissed." She said as she watched the corpse of Bell.
"Frau Helga Dorfman." The officer called out.
"I wish to see my husband." Gerlich's wife called out.
"He can't be seen. He's in protective custody."
"Protected from whom?"
"His enemies."
"Have you scheduled a trial date?" He rolled his eyes.
"Why would my answer be any different today than the answer I gave you yesterday or the day before?" She took out some papers and presented them to him.
"This is a notice from the Reich court. It says that no charges are pending against him. If there are no charges, why can't he be released?"
"He's in protective custody. Next. Frau Marta Krauss!" He called out ignoring her causing her to huff.
"We will not go away. We will not go away."
"Next!"
"The jails are filled to capacity and their wives are causing an international ruckus. We cannot try these men and we can't release them." Goebbels told the Führer.
"Camps."
"What?"
"What about those camps?" There was a silent pause. "What else?"
"Hindenburg is dying and we've not yet resolved the issue with Röhm. And of course, there's the Army. The clock is ticking, my Führer."
"I'll speak to Röhm."
"I've spoken to Röhm and he does nothing."
"I said I'll speak to him!" The Führer snapped at him.
"We were friends once, Ernst. You saw my potential before anyone else. You speak your mind, unlike the others and you've always loved your men more than yourself, which is rare in a leader. But… you refuse to bend. Why? You have power." Hitler questioned Röhm as they walked along the halls.
"I don't want the power, I want justice. My men were promised…"
"I don't care." He interrupted Röhm. "I don't care. I don't give a damn about promises. You know this. You know this. Ernst, the SA are not now, nor will they ever be the official German Army. You must stand down."
"You're right, Adolf. We were friends once. And I will always speak my mind. I will not betray my men." He clicked his feet in attention.
"I'm truly sorry to hear that, Ernst." Hitler walked away and spoke. "Gather up your leaders and meet me at Bad Wiessee on the 30th of June."
Bad Wiessee, Germany
June 30, 1934
Hitler and his men were driven up the road towards a house. As the truck stopped him and his men hopped out of the vehicle and proceeded to go inside. As the men entered the household, each room was checked. As they reached the second floor Hitler stopped in front of the first door and waited until the rest were cleared. He opened the door and walked inside the room, gun pointing at Röhm as he laid in bed with another man who both had a look of surprise while Hitler had one of discuss.
"You are under arrest." He said as one of the men tossed Röhm his uniform.
"My dearest Sophie. I don't know when, or if, I will ever see you again. I don't say this to shock. I say it because I must ask one more thing of you. Please live. Urge others to speak out, even when what they have to say is not popular. Tell them to embrace courage as a gift. and pass it on to their children." The letter said as Sophie read it. "You have always been my hope. the promise of goodness and truth and devotion. Knowing that those qualities still survive in this world lets me leave it with a lighter heart. Don't mourn. I've given everything I have to this struggle, and my only option now is to give the last, most precious thing. It will mark this moment in time forever, so that people will remember. Yours always. Fritz."
Dachau Concentration Camp
"Where are we?" Gerlich asked as the truck made it to its destination.
"Just outside the village of Dachau." A random passenger answered. "What are we doing here?" The truck stopped and everyone was escorted off of the vehicle.
As the prisoners were lined up officers stood at attention as the doors began to open. "Presenting the warden, and your new mistress…" The guard called out getting everyone's attention. "General Esdeath!" As the words left his mouth the sound of heels echoed forth from inside the main building.
Gerlich never saw her before in Hitler's circle at any of the events. "Good day gentlemen. You may be wondering why you're here. Well it's quite simple. We do not tolerate gays, liars, traitors, communists, and Jewish vermin like yourselves." The crowd began to whisper. "As of now you have no rights for as of now you are slave workers for the New German Reich."
"And if we refuse?" Gerlich yelled out.
"Who said that?" A guard shoved Gerlich to the ground and dragged him to the mistress. "Oh I remember this one." She watched as he was tossed to her feet face down into the mud. "It's nice to finally meet you Gerlich." She moved his head to the side with her heel to look him in the eyes. "You know you were causing the Führer a lot of stress throughout the years." He glared at her. "Oh don't be such a baby. Now come on." She pulled him up out of the mud and pointed at the front gate. "Wow you can practically smell freedom from here don't you. Well don't let me slow you down go on go." She jesters towards the open gates. "You're free to leave. My men won't harm you as you leave."
He took a moment to process what this strange woman said to him as he looked back at the guards and prisoners then to Esdeath herself. He looked back at her as she smiled at him, eyes closed. Seeing this as his only chance he bolted towards the gate running past the wooden structure. As he made it passed the gate, pain shot through his leg causing him to scream and collapse on the ground. As he looked back he saw a piece of ice sticking out of the ground and impaling his leg.
"Aww." Her voice called out. "Come on go on your free." She said as both the guards and her grin like mad men. With tears spilling forth from his eyes he bit his lip and stood up only for another sharp piece of ice to strike his other leg causing him to collapse in pain and cry out. "You know for someone who wants to leave I'm starting to feel like you don't want to." She spoke up as she looked down at him.
"You're a sociopath-ahhh!" She stepped on his hand shattering what bones were inside.
"My what a foul mouth you have Gerlich. Do you kiss your wife with that mouth." The guards laughed.
"L-Leave her o-out of-ahhh!" She grabbed him by the hair and yanked him off the ice causing him to scream in agony.
"Come on now Gerlich we'll have so much fun." She said dragging him inside as the others were pushed in as the gates closed. As the night progressed the screams of the dam could be heard in the village of Dachau.
The party was a buzz as two children ran around the party guests. Soon enough they approached the Führer himself. They asked for some coins and the man smiled and reached into his pocket. "All right. One for you. One for you. There you go." The children thanked him and ran off as Ernst approached him.
"Herr Hitler, I was wondering if I had a moment."
"Yes, of course." He said as he turned towards the baby.
"Well, you see, it's my 20th reunion. Helene and I have been planning a trip for over a year."
"You're not going to desert me again, are you?" He said as he picked the child up from its seat.
"No, I'm not. I'm simply asking your permission to…"
"Why do you never call me Führer?" He questioned Ernst causing him to become nervous and confused.
"I beg your pardon?"
"Why do you never address me by my proper title?" Hitler explained.
"I didn't know… if you'd like, I could…"
"I'd like that very much." He interrupted Ernst.
"Very well. My Führer."
"Very good." He began to walk away from Ernst. "Bring me something back. Preferably yourself. And your lovely wife." He nodded to Hitler as he left and took off to find his wife.
As he approached her he whispered in her ear. "I need to speak with you."
"Will you excuse me, please?" She said to the guests she was talking to and walked off to where her husband was at. As she entered the room she saw him taking another drink. He looked at her as he finished.
"He said we can go." He said breaking the tension. "Helene, we can catch the night train to Hamburg and be on a boat by tomorrow morning." He held her hands. "This is a new beginning. I promise. I'll be a husband again, a father to Egon."
"You've said that before."
"I know I have…" He explained but was interrupted.
"I'm not going with you, Ernst. This is my country now and I won't abandon it just when it needs me most."
"I'm not abandoning…" Ernst tried to explain again but she wasn't listening.
"I've finally found someone whom I can believe in." At that moment Ernst knew he lost his wife to Hitler.
Meanwhile
As the Führer and Hess approached the buffet Hess kept pushing him for an answer. "My Führer, you must make a decision. They need your order." Yet he didn't respond causing him to ask again. "My Führer, you must make…"
"Yes, I heard you!" Hitler snapped at him, causing the party to go silent. As he and the party gathered themselves he looked at Hess. "Give him a gun."
The guards entered Röhm's cell and placed a gun and a newspaper on the table. The headline said "These are the Enemies of the State" and his name stood on top of the list.
"I know you think, this is a betrayal, but Chief of Staff Röhm was planning my assassination." Hitler's voice echoed to the troops. "I had no choice."
The door to Röhm's cell opened and two guards walked in as he placed the newspaper down and walked towards the end of the cell and faced the two. He saluted. "My Führer." And was repeatedly shot.
"And so in his honour. I will bring you all into the Reichswehr Army. You will once again fight for a strong Germany."
"Heil, Führer!" The troops saluted.
Meanwhile
Hindenburg tried to call out for help as Esdeath held her icey left hand over his mouth as she sat beside him with her uniform stained with the blood of the nurse.
Hindenburg State Funeral, Berlin
August 2, 1934
"Subsequent to the death of President Hindenburg, the office of Reich President will be combined with that of Reich Chancellor. The Army has devised an oath of unconditional loyalty to the person of the Führer to be taken by every officer and soldier of the Armed Forces. Do you hereby swear allegiance?" The announcer said.
"We do." The men yelled out.
"Today the old Reich and its finest leader enter Valhalla. At the same time, we mark the beginning of a new era. A time of peace and prosperity await us! The 1,000-year Reich has begun!" Hitler said as he looked at the crowd of troops and citizens alike.
Meanwhile
Gerlich's wife opened up a small white box and saw inside a pair of her husband's glasses covered in blood and frost.
Hindenburg State Funeral, Berlin
"Sieg heil!" Hitler called out and saluted.
"Sieg heil! Sieg heil! Sieg heil! Sieg heil! Sieg heil! Sieg heil!" The crowd chanted to the heavens.
The Forever Knight
(Lol see what I did there)
We look into the eyes of Tatsumi as his once bright innocent emerald eyes once filled with hope now dull with war and destruction. He sat there in his cell as he watched the shadows dance around him and his blood gathered underneath him. "Honor." He thought to himself. "What do you know about honor?"

"You, who has never faced true fear." He wipes the bloody rag across his skin. Bruises and cuts marry his form with some still open as he wiped the red rag over them. He looks at the pieces of ice that were embedded in his skin for his punishment of defying her. All of the wounds are her punishments for everytime he stood against her. He looks up at his reflection and notices tears were streaming forth from his eyes. The face of a defeated man.
Rome, New Rome
Roman Colosseum

"Learn what honor is before pretending you are a warrior." His thoughts told him over and over again as he watched Esdeath stand near the Führer as the two along with Benito Mussolini. A test they said for what he did not know as he felt the collar began to itch but kept it on as he felt the weight on the back of it move. He saw the Führer turn towards one of the scientists.
"You may begin the test doctor." The doctor nodded as Esdeath pulled a lever. The sound of the gates opening caught his attention. He expected a wild animal or prisoners but was met with a crowd of women, elderly, and children. All pale white from lack of light and skin hugging their bones from the lack of food. Their eyes blank as they walked slowly. Some were cautious of him. As he looked back at the podium and saw the scientist push a button.
"Know this before that thin red path, Where no misstep is allowed." He felt three needles stab into the back of his neck. Then as if he was a puppet his limbs moved against his command as he walked towards the group as they started to take steps back. "Path that only ends when your legs fail to support you. When your heart stops beating." He lunged at the nearest target, an elderly man. His hand plunged into the elderlies stomach as his other hand reached for his neck.
The old man tried to fight back but was pointless as Tatsumi pulled both sides proceeding to rip him in two. Tatsumi tossed one end at the crowd as the other fell. He knew he shouldn't be doing this but his body refused to obey him.
After the test
"Path where sadness goes along with pain. Where glory is the color of blood." The voice echoed as he watched the blood of the innocent stain the dirt around him. "This narrow path goes only one way. A way covered with enemies… and brothers." It continued as he stared at the dying eyes of a child looking up at him. The sound of laughter caught his attention back at the podium. Always the guinea pig. Always the puppet. Always the slave. That's all Tatsumi is now.
He lunged at the two men who were unaware of him coming in close. Before his hand grabbed the madman he saw a shade of blue in the corner. Next thing he knew he was back in the center of the Colosseum on his knees. "And it will take you without any shame, unto the hands of death." He looked up and saw her grinning down at him with her arms behind her back causing him to glare back and lunged at her. "For the name you were given, and for your descendants."
She dodged to the right-side(her right) and kicked him across the stomach with her left leg launching him across the Colosseum into the opposite wall. Yet he didn't feel any pain as he crawled out of the rubble. He figured it was the collars doing. As he collected his thoughts he saw Esdeath walking towards him with nothing but a grin on her face. It made him sick every time he saw it.
He grabbed a chunk of the wall whichever surprised him for a moment since he didn't have his Teigu on his person and threw the stone at her with great speed. Yet she stood there watching until the chunk of earth was upon her. As he saw the boulder crash he knew it wasn't over as she dashed through the dust. He threw a punch but she dodged by jumping over and landed behind him. As he faced her she smiled and winked at him causing him to hesitate. Before he could register what happened she disappeared and a solid cold object slammed against his back.
As he regained consciousness his eyes looked up at the stone ceiling that was his cell. "For Honor." The elder of his village whispered in his ear.
Flashback Over
Location: Near the Bering Strait
He opened his eyes as the lights in the plane turned red. "This is your captain speaking. We have reached our destination." The sound of the cargo door opening drew his attention. "And thank you for riding with Mine airlines." That caught his attention. That voice struck him like a bolt of lightning.
"M-Mine is that you?!" Before he could get an answer the loud sound of thunder stunned him. As he gathered his thoughts Sasquatch grabbed and jumped out of the plane. "See you around, pervert!" Was the last thing he heard from her.
