Danny sat on Mia's shoulder as he tries to remember what happened. Mai was worry about her captain. Danny stated that he was fine, just tried. Mia walks down the path. She would sometimes look over at him to make sure he was alright.

"Hey, Mia? Where are we going?" Danny asked.

"I don't know. I just felt like I should go this way." She said.

Danny looked at her, surprised. He was thinking about telling Mia to go down this path himself. In fact, he remembers that he was going to climb over the mountain he was lead to Mia. Was there something that they need to head to? Mia kept walking until they saw the sun setting. Mia found a nearby cave and check to make sure it was empty. Once she knew it was safe, Danny was set on the ground and started to look through his bag. Mia headed out to get firewood as she knew how cold it could get at times. Danny was lucky he brought some food before Mia was attacked. He looks up and saw Mia making a fire. Through, he could tell it was going to a big one.

Later that night...

Danny sat away from Mia's fire as the giant girl was sitting a bit closer.

"Hey, Captain?" Mia spoke up.

"Hmm?" Danny asked.

"Can you tell me what your village is like? I could see it from the mountain top, but I never went because of my size." She asked.

"Amityville might not be much, but I was born there. It mostly a quiet town, we have a knight academy. It's where I became a knight. I got two best friends, Tucker and Samantha." Danny said.

"Samantha?" Mia asked, a bit of jealously slipping out.

"Yeah. She actually from the one rich family in the village. But she doesn't like that life. Her parents hate my family. They think we're just a bunch of freaks that don't belong in the village. Of course, because of our family history, they can't kick us out." Danny said.

"What is Samantha to you?" Mia asked.

She's my best friend." Danny said.

"That's it? Nothing else?" Mia asked, surprised.

"Why? She's my friend. What else is she?" Danny asked.

Mia looks away and smiles to herself.

"Never mind." She said, grabbing the cooked boar.

She took a bite and looks back at Danny. She saw that he was laying on the ground and looking up at the night sky. She looks ups and saw the stary sky.

"Nice night." She said.

"Beautiful night." Danny agreed.

"I always loved looking at the night sky. Sometimes I wonder if my ancestor is watching over me." Danny said.

Mia smiles and ate her boar. Danny stares at the night sky until they both fell asleep.

The next day...

Mia was walking down the road as Danny sat on her shoulder. They were both still following the feeling they were getting.

"Danny? What is your family like?" Mai asked.

"Well, my Dad is known as the biggest goofball in the village. I'm not saying that as a bad thing. My dad can go overboard with his ideas, but he has a good heart. He is willy to stand up for his family if they get into trouble." Danny said.

"Wish my dad was like that. He was there for me, but he was mostly too busy trying to keep the peace between giants and humans. He and mom were good friends with your ancestor." Mia said.

"I heard that he made friends with other races," Danny said.

"What about the rest of your family?" Mia asked.

"My mom happens to be the most beautiful woman in the village. Many men try to marry her, but she wasn't going to leave my dad. Also, my mom might not be a knight, but she will fight if she must." Danny said.

"Female giants are great warriors like male giants. My mom hates fighting, but she does help out with injury giants. I do know few things about medicine if you need it." Mia said, blushing a bit.

"Err, that's okay. My sister, Jasmine taught me about medicine too." Danny said, unsure.

"You have a sister?!" Mai asked, surprised.

"Yeah. She a little overprotective, but I still love her the same. What about you?" Danny asked.

"A brother. He doesn't think much of me. He always makes fun of me. I'm older, but he's taller. He never lets up that he's the bigger sibling. Unlike the bullies, he can't always get away from making fun of me." Mia said.

"Huh. Some sibling. At least, me and Jasmine get along at points." Danny said.

Mia stops as she came to a forest. The trees were high, and it looks really foggy.

"Why don't you like me down here? That fog looks thick." Danny said.

"How would I find you?" Mia asked.

"Well, we're both feeling something telling us where to go. Maybe we don't have to worry about seeing." Danny said.

"Well, it worth a shot," Mia said.

They enter the forest, and Mia couldn't see. However, she could feel something tell her where to go. Danny had a better idea of where he was going, but the fog was pretty thick. The two continue to walk as something ran past the trees.

"What was that?" Danny asked.

"What was what?" Mia asked, kneeling.

"Be on your guard, Mia. I get a feeling we are not alone in this forest." Danny said.

Mia nodded, and they continue to walk. Danny looks around, trying to make sure no surprises were coming at them. However, the fog was started to get thicker. Danny could tell that he won't be able to see soon.

"Hey, Mia? Do you think you can blow some of this fog away?" Danny asked.

"I think so. Get behind me." She said.

Danny got behind her foot as Mai held her arms out.

"EARTH CLAP!"

She claps her hands and blew the fog away from her. She froze in shock when she was able to see.

"Um, Danny?" She said, shaking a little.

He steps out from behind her foot and gasps in shock.

"Black Beasts?!" He shouted.

There were many dangerous animals in front of them. The one thing that made them stand out was that they were fully black with red glowing eyes. And Black Beasts were very dangerous.

"What do we do?" Mia asked.

A few of the beasts growl at them, and Danny quickly looks behind him.

"We're surrounded." He said, making her look behind herself.

Danny drew his sword and held it up.

"What are they?" Mia asked, grabbing her hammer.

"Black Beasts are dangerous. They take up the forms of the most dangerous animals in the world. I heard of tales of them, but this is the first time I've seen them." Danny said.

"What's the plan?" Mia asked.

Before Danny could say anything, a few Black Beasts charges at them. Mia swings her hammer, the wind blowing a few of them back. Danny slashes at the nearest black beast, seeing black blood coming from it. More beasts attack them and both Danny and Mia fought back. Due to Mia's size, she had an easier time fighting the Black Beasts off. Danny, on the other hand, had to slash each one that got close to him.

One Black Beast jumps on Mia's leg and started to scratch and bite it. Lucky, Danny saw it and quickly slashes it. Mia nods in thanks and had her hand glow.

"EARTH SHATTER!"

She punches the ground, sending out pillars of stone to knock away the black beasts.

"We better get moving!" Danny said.

Mia nods and swoops him up. She turns and started to run through the forest, letting the feeling guide her. Danny climbs on her shoulder and looks behind them.

"They're coming after us!" He said.

"Can we lose them?" Mia asked.

"Black Beasts don't quiet until they have their prey. But I think this forest is their home. If we can get out of here, then we should be safe!" He said.

"I better buy us some time!" Mia said, facing the beast.

EARTHQUAKE!"

Mia slams her hammer on the ground, causing many black beasts to be sent flying. Most lost their balance, but there were still some that were chasing after them.

"Damn it! They're still chasing us!" Mai shouted, running away again.

Danny started to think. There wasn't much about the Black Beasts that was said, but he did know one thing. Black Beasts weren't very smart.

"Mia! Use your magic again!" He said.

"Why?" She asked.

"I have a plan!" Danny said, whispering in her ear.

Mia nods and pulls out her hammer again. She stops and turns around. She held her hammer to the side as Danny grabs onto her shirt.

"EARTH TORNADO!"

Mia started to spin and giant rocks started to tear from the ground. Some of the Black Beasts were caught in it and were pummeled with the flying rocks. Mia then threw the attack forward knocking the Black Beasts back. Mia leads on her hammer as she tries to study herself.

"Are you okay?" Danny asked.

"Yeah, I'm just dizzy." She said.

Danny nods before hearing a roar. He looks up and was shocked to see what was flying above them.

"They took up that creature?!" He shouted.

"Huh?" Mai asked before the creature lands behind her.

She turns and saw it was a dragon. It roars at her, ready to fight them.

"This is bad. Dragons are the most powerful magical creatures in the world. Most knights don't even go after them!" Danny said, knowing he was out of his league.

"Then get to safely, Captain! I'll hand it!" Mia said.

"WHAT?! Mia!" Danny shouted.

"Dragons are strong, yes. But I'm not going to let myself be beaten or eaten!" Mia said, putting Danny in a tree.

"Mia..." Danny said, looking into her eyes.

"I'll be fine, Captain." She said, smiling.

Danny nods, and Mia faces the Black Dragon. She pounds her fist into her palm, walking up to the dragon.

"Dragons and Giants have been fighting each other for years. You might be my first dragon, but I'm not going to die today!" She said, holding her fists up.

The Dragon charges at her, which Mia caught by its shoulder and neck. He goes to bite down her, but Mia quickly uppercuts it, knocking it back a bit. She then grabs it by the neck and threw it over her shoulder. The Black Dragon slams on the ground, making a bit of dust fly up. Mia stood ready as the Dragon picks itself up. It looks to take a deep breath and making its mouth turn red.

"EARTH WALL!"

Mia puts up a wall just as the dragon shot fire at her. Lucky, the earthwall blocks the flames. Mia waited until the flames die down before rushing from the wall. The Dragon took off into the skies and disappears into the clouds. Mia tries to find it but had no luck. She scans the skies the best she could. Danny, however, spotted something.

"MIA! LOOK OUT!" He shouted.

Mai turns and was ram by the dragon, pushing her deeper into the forest. The Dragon bites down on her shoulder and looks ready to tear her arm off. Lucky, Mia caught on to what it was doing and deliver a punch to the side of its head. It let go of her, but Mia grabs its neck again. She quickly flips around and slams the dragon into the ground. The Dragon then uses its tail to grabs Mia's neck and tosses her off it. Mia lands on her back and quickly sits up. The Dragon took another deep breath and shot fire at her. Mia had no time to call the earth to make another shield. She crosses her arms in front of her as the flames hit her.

The Dragon kept up the flames for a few minutes before stopping. It looks into the flames, trying to find its prey. It didn't see the giant and remembers its other prey. It turns around and started to open its wings. It was about to fly off when its tail was grab. It turns and saw Mia, slightly burn and her eyes glowing yellow. She calls forth some of the earth, and it forms a rock glove on her hand. She swings it and punches the dragon, knocking a few fangs out.

The Dragon shook its head, but Mia punches it again. It was send crashing to the ground, but it got right back up. It roars, but Mia quickly silences it by tossing a boulder at it. When the dragon was dazed from the attack, Mia held her arms out, and parts of the earth surround her hands.

"EARTH CLAP!"

The Dragon's head was smash between the two rocky hands. Mia pulls her hands back and saw the Black Dragon disappears. She turns and saw Danny walking up to her. She blinks, and her eyes turn back to blue. She took a few steps back as the earth fell from her hands as she fell on her butt.

"Mia? Are you okay?" Danny asked.

"I think so. Where's the dragon?" Mia asked.

"You killed it," Danny said.

"I did?" Mia asked, confused.

Danny could see that Mia was lost, just like he was was. However, this wasn't the time to talk about it. They might have driven away the Black Animals for now, but they were still in the forest. They could return at any time.

"Let's go." He said, climbing on her hand.

Elsewhere, a prison...

A guard walks up to a cell and slips in some food.

"Mealtime." He said.

"Is it? You guards really believe I would take the life of the king?"

"You're a thief. Even if you aren't going to take the life of the king, you need to lock up." The Guard said.

"You know, since you have been taking care of me, I'll let that slide. But I have a feeling I won't be here for very long."

"What makes you say that?" The Guard asked.

"Don't know. I feel that something is going to be interesting."

And that this chapter. I had a little trouble deciding what I want to do with this chapter before having Danny and Mia talk about their families, and it leads into the forest where they fought the Black Animals and a Dragon. Now, this is something that the rest of the group is going to discover after all seven are together. After the Demon War, Dan had to spit his magic power into seven different parts, and they each found a host. Danny's magic is Green, and Mia's magic is Yellow. Next, Jake will be joining the group.

I also have another problem with Grammarly. Some of you notice that there should be a comma in some of my sentences. However! Grammarly is really picky about that. I can put it in a place I know it belongs, but a red line appears under it. That means there doesn't need to be one. But if you look at the bottom left corner of your document, you see a green circle with a number above it. That number tells you how many mistakes there are. So, when I put the comma where it needs to be, the number drops down. But when I get the red line and remove it, the number goes up. That means it both correct and incorrect at the same time! That needs to be fixed! And don't tell me to get Premium, I can't pay for it.
