Chapter 3 : Hinako
They woke up early and left the village after telling the Village Chief their thanks for letting them stay at the village.
The villagers gave them some berries which will be enough to sustain themselves while they are travelling to their next destination.
They are going to Chloe Town and it seems like it will take a day before they got there or midnight if they won't take the time to camp when the night falls.
So they decided to walk for as far as they can and stop when the sun sets.
As they are walking, they have encountered some moving gelatinous creatures which Aozora decided to call as Slimes.
The Slimes are easy to take care of. It seems like a sufficient force can easily cause these slimes to die and leave their core on the ground.
The Slimes are small so it seems like even a full power punch from a girl like her can easily destroy that slime.
They continued on their walk while taking care of the slimes that they encounter. There are not many that they encountered, only once or twice after some hours.
"... I am tired. Let's stop here for now." Aozora said with a wheeze as she took some mouthful of air.
The sun was just going to set when Aozora decided like that.
In fact, they have done this a few times because Aozora aren't that fit enough to walk in a long distance.
Austina looks at the sky before she told her that they can camp on the side of the road.
With that decided, they got to work and set up a camp. Well, only Austina took the action to set up a camp while Aozora just sits there.
Aozora knows she looks so pathetic not helping the Princess Knight. And in canon, Austina is a royalty, so this is just shameless.
But Austina wanted to do this and she seems to be having fun. So Aozora let her do it on her own.
She also thinks she can't help that much because she doesn't have any idea what to do here. She have seen some on anime and games but she knows that those doesn't reflect the reality.
So she left it to Austina who seems to have an idea to what she is doing.
And it seems like it was a good call on her part because Austina took less than an hour to acquire some branches, leaves, and some rock that she aligned in one area to create fire. The rocks seems to be encircling the pile of branches and leaves that she made.
She then uses a pair of rocks that seems to be enough to create sparks when she hit it at each other in the right angle.
After some time, they finally have a fire.
Then, they took the berries from their pockets and ate some of it while passing the time.
"This is boring..."
"Eh!?"
Austina was surprised when she heard Aozora mutter that.
Aozora ignored the Princess' reaction while she was thinking about her situation.
'There are no entertainment in this world, and my only active Idle Game doesn't even function as one. I am getting bored of this!' She thought in irritation.
Then she looks at her status. She saw that she have 1,050 EXP. This seems to be enough to activate a new Idle Game.
It seems like they manage to kill enough monsters to acquire the appropriate amount of EXP for her.
Before she can decide to pick a game of her liking, she heard Austina telling her to rest while she stands guard.
"... Wait what?" Aozora took her attention out of her status and looks at Austina.
"Milady, I think it was normal to do that. You can't fight so it was natural that I will be the one to stand guard."
"... Then how about you?"
"I'll just endure it. I can rest when we get to the town."
Aozora felt bad about that. Moreso because Austina said that with a reassuring smile to put her worries to rest.
'... Maybe I should get a new character?' Aozora thought before taking the decision. 'Yes, I'll pick a new character!' She thought.
But she can't really get any new characters on the Princess Saga. She doesn't have any Princess Gems (which is the premium currencies on this game).
To acquire Princess Gems, she needs to finish a quest, participate and win on Events, acquire the achievements, or simply buy it using real cash.
But all of that are impossible to her. There are no quests, nor any events, not even the achievement bar, and there wasn't even a way for her to use real cash.
But she have a way to acquire a new character and that's not playing Princess Saga.
Yes, she will activate a new Idle Game with her EXP.
She browses through the available games that she have and find the one that she felt was promising.
"Then, I'll activate this!"
"Milady?"
Aozora ignored the confuse Austina as she pokes the new game that she will activate.
After that, the game opens and it shows the loading screen which just occurs in a split second before it filled the loading bar instantly.
The game that she activated is known as Galaxy Conquest.
Just like Princess Saga, Galaxy Conquest is also an Online Idle RPG Game with a Gacha and Tower Defense function in it.
Set in a sci-fi setting, the game introduces a wide variety of girls that are all beautiful and sexy. The game was also for adults only because this is an Eroge.
But even with all of that, it have some cheap plot on the start that goes deeper as the player progress to the story.
Aozora goes through the game and saw that she have a free ticket to roll a character. It was a premium ticket which guaranteed a three star character or above.
But before she rolls, she takes a look at the options on the game and saw that a lot of things are missing in it.
The global chat and the friend list are gone. And the Planets (which is the version of stages in this game) are also not here. Even her Space Hub (her home screen) doesn't have all the options.
The Space Hub is the home base on the Player based on the game. It should have a Hangar, Dorms, Storage, Space Crystal Mines, Agency (Gacha), Planets (Stages), and Simulation (PvP).
But the Hangar, which is an important part of the game was missing. It have the Spaceship, which is something the Player pilots so she can repel the enemies getting to her base. Due to it being gone so the Spaceship was also nonexistent in her Space Hub.
Planets and Simulation are also missing. So she can't even grind for levels or rewards.
Good thing that the others are still there. The Storage is where all her items will be stored by the game. Dorms is where she can manage her girls, either for their improvements or to do some naughty things to them. Space Crystal Mine is just an area that produces a Space Crystal every hour (the equivalent of Princess Gem in Princess Saga). And Agency is obviously the place to acquire characters and some other items (if the game is not generous to the player).
Aozora was a bit dissatisfied that a lot of things are missing in it. The Spaceship might be able to help her overwhelm anything in this world so she was hoping that it was still there, but she can only content herself that she can get some characters.
And the characters on the Galaxy Conquest are ridiculously powerful.
Even if they are characters who are existing for the depraved fantasies of most players, they have a serious firepower behind them. All the characters are biologically and artificially enhanced through multiple augmentations and surgeries so they can become super soldiers or spies. They have technologies and specialties that can easily destroy a country or even multiple planets. Six Star characters are much more ridiculous because they are capable of causing untold amount of destructions not just on the galaxy, but even a supercluster.
So she decided to pick this game. She thinks she'll be very safe if one of those characters is besides her.
Of course she will try to limit the characters who have the powers to destroy a planet or more. Even she won't be safe if the planet they are standing now was destroyed.
She goes to the Agency and saw that there are no special promos and any banners for increased chances to get a character. Only the normal banner was there.
"This is just disappointing..." Aozora muttered.
She uses her Premium Ticket to summon a character.
The screen shows some glowing light and some matrix of some sorts before it made a flash and the character appears.
"I am the Special Operative Spy of the Radiance Council, Hinako. Don't underestimate me just because I'm small!"
Hinako (3 Stars)
"Oh, it's Hinako huh..." Aozora said as she looks at the character.
Hinako is a petite girl, though she was still plump at her other areas like her rear and her legs. She also have a slim waist and a small chest. She have a long white hair and sky colored eyes. She is wearing some sort of bodysuit that emphasizes the figure of her body and it's also sleeveless, showing her expose shoulders and arms. She also have a long fitting black gloves. There is also a blue cape that covers her exposed shoulders and her back which seems to also be exposed. And she is wearing a blue large cap.
Hinako was carrying a high tech looking pistol which seems to be her default weapon in the game.
Aozora try to recall what she knows about this character.
The Radiance Council is one of the major factions on the game and was also the faction that the player was a part of. It was in conflict with an organization called the Intergalactic Dark Organization and also the notorious alien breeding organization called Abyss Gate.
Being one of the major factions with the player in it, most of the story at the start revolves around it.
Hinako was one of the characters introduced in the Radiance Council.
Based on the story, Hinako was pretty good as a spy, infiltrator, and sabotaging the enemy lines and sources. She was specialized in light weaponry like pistols and knives, and she also carries a seemingly unlimited amount of grenades and some chemicals that helps her in her work.
Aozora thinks that Hinako is a pretty good character, even if she ignores her status in the game which is pretty low for a three star.
Aozora then operated her game and got to the Dorms where she can see the image of Hinako in it. Looking at the options, she saw that some are missing while there is a new option called Deploy in it.
'So just like Princess Saga, this game also have a Deploy command.' She thought to herself.
As for the missing functions, she can't access the playroom nor the galleries which are all the 18+ section on this game.
Other than that, equipment, improve, and upgrade options are there which is something she really needs if she wants to strengthen her character.
'Well, I don't need those 18+ sections. I am a girl and I'm not interested to any intimate relationship. But still...' She thought while looking at the one section above the image of Hinako. 'The affection meter is still existing.' She thought with a frown.
The affection meter on Galaxy Conquest indicates how much the character loves the player. It's not the wholesome type of love, it was more on the erotic side.
'I hope this doesn't cause the characters to suddenly fall in love with me and throw themselves at me!' She thought with a shiver in her body.
On an unrelated note, there is also an affection bar on Princess Saga but it wasn't anything explicit. In fact, it was needed so the characters can Ascend when the player acquired a duplicate of that character.
"Well then, I'll be summoning someone to help us." Aozora said so Austina will be prepared for it.
She notices that Austina can't see her powers at all so she thinks she needs to warn her whenever she summons someone.
She picks the Deploy option. After doing that, a flash of light occurs besides them so they took their attention there and saw a girl standing there and was getting her bearings for a bit.
The girl, Hinako, looks around her before her eyes settled on Aozora. She then took a salute with her other hand behind her. It seems like it was her version of military greeting.
"Commander, I am Hinako from the Radiance Council. Do you have any orders?" She asks that with a serious tone.
'... She is seriously small. She is much smaller than me.' Aozora thought to herself.
Aozora was 153cm in height. In Hinako's case, she looks like she is 147 or 148cm tall. She is pretty short even for an average Japanese girl.
'And even with that, she still have that kind of body. That was amazing.' Aozora thought while feeling amazed at how she manages to maintain that kind of body.
"Uhmm... the two of us are going to sleep. Can you take guard of us. You can wake us up if you are feeling tired." Aozora told the new girl.
"Of course. Leave it to me Commander!" Hinako said before she took a stand besides them.
Austina seems to nod at herself about something before she goes to Hinako.
"... Anyway, I am going to sleep now." Aozora told them.
She looks for a comfortable ground to lie her head and sleep. Well, nothing in the ground is comfortable but she can't complain about that.
Whatever Austina wanted to talk to Hinako, Aozora felt it doesn't warrant her presence. It was also a good thing that two characters from a different franchise to talk at each other. It might make them friends or something, is what she is thinking as she tries to take some nap.
As they saw Aozora getting to a comfortable position, Austina gets to Hinako before asking her.
"Uhmm... I think you shouldn't wake her up, it will be fine if you just wake me up." Austina said to the petite girl.
"Of course. I will take that into account." Hinako replied in a crisp manner.
The two of them became silent for awhile before Austina presented her hand at Hinako.
"I am Austina Schloegn, the Second Princess of the Schloegn Kingdom. It is nice to meet you!" She introduces herself with a good natured smile.
Hinako looks at her hand before looking at her face for a bit. Then she took her hand and shakes it.
"Likewise." Hinako said with a bit of a smile on her way.
She have already introduced herself awhile ago so she thinks it was the appropriate reply.
"Hmm... so won't you rest? It will be bad if you keel over." Hinako told the princess.
"How about you? Are you alright standing alone here?" Austina asks with some concern in her tone.
"Don't worry about me. I can stay active for 240 hours no problem!" Hinako assured her while feeling a bit proud of her claims.
"Well... if you say so..."
Austina is still worried about leaving it to Hinako due to how childish she looks but she can see that the girl wasn't letting down her guard even when she was talking casually at her. So she thinks that it was alright to trust her.
Though Austina won't sleep that deeply. She decided that if something bad happens, she will quickly spring up from her sleeping posture and aid her to whatever problem that happens while their lady is still sleeping.
She have fought Rebels for a long time from any environments so she can easily stir herself up whenever danger approaches.
Austina laid besides her lady while she was thinking like that.
In the end, nothing much happens on the whole night.
