Chapter 5: A Love That Could Bend Time

Olivia, clad in the armor of the Elvin War Goddess, Ghyva entered the packed Arena to battle the demon, Olario on behalf of Limara and the other enslaved Elves.

The Arena is littered with carnage, weapons and shells. Red, black and brown are the new colors of what was once a serene, trading village, which has now become the stage of a devastating war.

The air which would normally carry the sound of working people and large tools is now a hellish symphony of screams, cheers, the mere sense of it will make any sane person want to run.

With the possibility of death shaking their knees the other side battles their enemies head on in the hope to come out on top. Some have succumbed to exhaustion and are giving in to whatever fate this battle has in store for them, while others seem to be fairly unaffected by the terrors around them.

The toll on both nature and humanity is disastrous. It'll likely take years before this village will have recovered. It's clear metal, blood and rubble have taken the place of gardens, gardens and homes. Nyron had begun speaking to the audience, but Olivia had tuned him out. Choosing instead to focus on the coming battle.

Olivia had always thought that monsters and demons were works of fiction, but then she remembered how terrified look Limara looked when Nyssa sentenced her to fight here. And that had sealed it, now Olivia could do was wait for this Olaria to show up.

Judging from the number of corpses, armor, and weapons scattered around the arena that several hundred Elves had met their end here at the hands of this creature for Nyssa and Nyron's sick pleasure.

Then, Olivia heard Nyron say: "Ladies and gentlemen, I give you - Olaria! Terror of the Elves!"

On her right, Olivia sees a pair of heavy doors, they suddenly jerk violently once, then twice, and then they finally burst open. Olivia drew her sword, but she couldn't get her mind to accept what she was seeing, the creature that was lumbering out of the pen that it had smashed open was enormous. It had the body of a bear, the head of a ram, and the tail of an armadillo.

tail"What in the world is this thing?"

The Olaria roared at Olivia before it charged her, Olivia narrowly avoids the creature's deadly horns, Olivia has to fight defensively, since she isn't given enough time or space to generate any form of offense.

Nyron was elated to see Olivia struggling against the Olaria, Meanwhile, Nyssa is watching, a look of dread on her face.

Olivia dove out of the way to avoid being skewered by the Olaria's horns, but she dropped her sword in the process. Limara, who has been in tears the entire time buries her face in her hands. She fears not just for Olivia, but also for the Pruclove that was developing inside of Olivia.

Olivia ripped out the two desert eagles and began firing, the heavy bullets do major damage to the creature's strange flesh, hope surged in Limara and all of the other Elves as watched on. While Nyron looked on, disgusted, Nyssa looked pleased. She then sees her brother glance over at Zena Cane, a Sorceress, like her, in fact Nyssa and Zena are cousins, the blonde wondered what they were scheming.

Olivia's scream jolts Nyssa back to reality as she turned her attention back to the action, and sees Olivia flying through the air, after being smacked hard by the creature's tail.

Olivia cursed as she struggles to stand, she tastes blood in her mouth and spits it out before casting a defiant glare at Nyron.

Holstering the 50 caliber handguns, Olivia pulls the MP5 off her shoulder and aimed at the Olaria's face. Olivia unleashed a hailstorm of explosive fire, the Olaria roared in agony as it fell over- dead. The arena went dead silent, then... it erupted in raucous excitement from the Elves, Nyron looks at Zena and nods at her.

Zena's eyes began glowing and she raised her left hand and points it at Olivia.

Olivia sighed and wiped the blood from her mouth, suddenly a red light enveloped Olivia and then- She was gone.

Limara watched in horror as her rescuer vanished.

"Olivia, no!" Limara screamed in soul-wrenching agony.
