Inside Harvey's base Elias is thrown into a cell with Lyco and Leeta while Nicole is taken deeper into the caves. Leeta calmly sits down "I'm one with the Force, the Force is with me. I'm one with the Force, the Force is with me". Lyco rolls her eyes and looks to Elias "She's praying, you know. She's praying for the door to open" she said mockingly. Leeta stops and smiles "It bothers her because she knows it's possible. Lyco was once the most devoted guardian of us all". Elias takes something out of his jacket pocket "I'm beginning to think the Force and I have different priorities". "Relax, Captain. We've been in worst cages than this one. Although there's more than one sort of prison and I sense that you carry your wherever you go" Leeta says.
Nicole enters a room on her own where Harvey is standing. He looks at her in surprise and begins hobbling towards her "Nicole, is it really you? I can't believe it" he smiles at her. Nicole looks coldly at him "Must be quite a surprise". Harvey looks at her confused "Are we not still friends?" "The last time I saw you, you gave me a knife and a loaded blaster and told me to wait in a bunker until daylight". Harvey still looked confused "I knew you were safe" "You left me behind".
Harvey scoffed "You were already the best soldier in my group" "I was 16! You dumped me!" Nicole said turning angry. "You were the daughter of an imperial science officer. People were starting to figure that out. People who wanted to use you as a hostage… Not a day goes by that I don't think of you" he says sadly. Nicole's glare softens slightly but Harvey suddenly looked horrified "It's a trap isn't it. The message and the pilot… Is that why you're here? Are you going to kill me? There's not much left for that" a betrayed expression forms on his face. Nicole looks at him "The Fighters want my father. They think he sent you a message about the weapon. They though that by sending me you might help them, that's all" she said reassuringly. Harvey pauses before saying "So what is it that you want, Nicole?" "They wanted their introduction, they've got it. I'm out now. Rest of you can do what you want". Harvey looks disappointed in her "You don't care about the cause?". Nicole scoffs "The cause? Seriously? The Freedom Fighters have brought me nothing but pain" "So you can stand to see the imperial flag reign across the galaxy?" "It's not a problem if you don't look up". Harvey lowers his head "I have something to show you. Come".
The Death Egg is in orbit above Shin, in the main control room Finitevus and Hamlin are looking down at the planet. "The Emperor is awaiting my report" "One would hope that he and Lord Eclipse might've been here for such an occasion" Hamlin replied. "Well, I thought it would be prudent to save you from any potential embarrassment", Hamlin tried to hide his irritation "Your concerns are hardly warranted. All imperial forces have been evacuated and I stand ready to destroy the entire moon". Finitevus slightly shakes his head "That won't be necessary. We need a statement, not a manifesto. The Holy City will be enough for today". Hamlin reluctantly nods "Target the city. Prepare for single reactor ignition" the officers prepare to fire.
Leeta suddenly raises her head as if she senses something "Who's the one in the next cell?", Lyco looks through to the next cell and sees Larry who looks deranged. Lyco then sees his uniform "An Imperial pilot!" she reaches through the bars angrily "I'm gonna kill him!", Elias pushes her back "Wait! Back off!", Lyco reluctantly does. Elias looks to Larry "Hey, are you the pilot? The shuttle pilot?" "There's something wrong with him" Leeta said. Elias thought for a second "Dr Ellidy. Do you know that name?". Larry raised his head upon hearing the name "I'm the pilot. I brought the message" he then turns to Elias "I'm the pilot". Elias smiles "Good. Where is Dr Ellidy?".
Meanwhile Harvey throws a disc on the ground "This is the message I was sent" the disc projects a hologram of an older looking Ellidy in front of Nicole. "Harvey, if you really watching this then perhaps there's a chance to save the Freedom Fighters. Perhaps there's a chance to explain myself and though I don't dare hope for much a chance for Nicole if she's alive". Tears began to form in Nicole's eyes upon seeing hr father again, but she tried to stay calm. "If you can possibly find her. To let her know that my love for her has never faded and how desperately I've missed her". He takes a breath before continuing "Nicole, my Stardust. I can't imagine what you think of me. When I was taken, I faced some bitter truths. I was told that soon enough Hamlin would have you as well. As time went by, I knew that you were either dead or so well hidden that he would never find you". Nicole smiled "I knew if I had refused to work, if I took my own life it would only be a matter before Hamlin realized he no longer needed me to complete the project. So, I did the one thing nobody expected. I lied. I learned to lie. I played the part of a beaten man resigned to the sanctuary of his work. I made myself indispensable and all the while, I laid the groundwork for my revenge".
He began to look regretful "We call it the Death Egg. There is no better name, and the day is coming soon when it will be unleashed. I've placed a weakness deep within the system. A flaw so small and powerful, they will never find it. But Nicole if you are listening". He gave a hopeful smile "So much of my life has been wasted. I try to think of you only in the moments when I am strong because of the pain of not having you with me". Nicole begins to cry "The pain of loss is so overwhelming that I risk failing even now. It's just so hard not to think of you, where you are, my Stardust". He composed himself and before continuing "Harvey, the reactor module, that's the key. That's the place I've laid my trap. It's well hidden and unstable. One blast to any part of it will destroy the entire station". Harvey suddenly heard a far off noise of an explosion, he turned to look out his window to see what it was, but Nicole didn't notice as she was busy listening to her father. "You'll need the structural plans for the Death Egg, to find the reactor. I know there's a complete engineering archive in the data vault at the Citadel Tower on Emerald Coast. Any pressurized explosion to the reactor module will set off a chain reaction that will destroy the entire station". The hologram cut off and Nicole fell to her knees as she tries to process everything. Harvey looks out the window and see's the sun being blocked out by something and then he saw a massive fireball where the Holy city was and it was now heading in their direction.
The entire bunker began to shake, and the Freedom Fighters begin to scatter leaving the others in their cell. Elias reaches out of the cell door and uses a tool to pick the lock opening the door. They all run out and Elias takes a commlink out of his jacket "Shard! Where are you?" "There you are. I'm standing by although there's a problem on the horizon. There isn't one". The bunker began to shake more violently "Locate our position. Bring that ship here, now!". Elias runs but quickly looks at the two wolves "Get the pilot, we need him" before exiting the room. Leeta and Lyco collect their stuff before the latter uses her blaster to blow open the cell door which causes Larry to jump back in fright. Elias runs through the bunker "Nicole!" he runs into the room and Harvey immediate raises his staff like a weapon. Elias stops and looks at Nicole on the ground before kneeling down in front of her "We gotta go. I know where your father is". Nicole's eyes open wide before standing up, she turns to Harvey "Come on!", he shakes his head "I will run no longer" he said calmly. Nicole looked at him "No!" "Save yourself!". Nicole stares for a second before running with Elias out of the bunker. Harvey yelled after them "Save the Freedom Fighters! Save the dream!".
The others begin running out of the bunker, the rabbit directs everyone to their fighters to escape. Larry runs out and stops in shock when he sees the explosion coming towards them as the ground rises like a tidal wave. Lyco sees Shard's ship coming around towards them, Elias and Nicole run out of the cave and lead them all to where Shard is going to land "Come on!". As it lands the doors slide open and they all jump in "Get us out here!" Elias yells to Shard. The ship takes of and tries to outrun the explosion. Harvey walks out of the cave and calmly faces the explosion and he reside himself to his fate. In his last moments he thought of his sister "Chloe" were his last words before the fire envelops him. The wave of destruction begins catching up with the ship "Shard, punch it!" "I haven't completed my calculations!" "I'll make them for you" Elias pulls a lever causing the ship to jump to safety.
From the control room of the Death Egg Hamlin smiles at the destruction "Beautiful". Everyone begins muttering except for Finitevus who has an unreadable expression "I believe I owe you an apology, Director Hamlin. Your work exceeds all expectations". Hamlin turns to him "I hope you'll tell the Emperor as much?" "I will tell him that his patience with your misadventures has been rewarded with a weapon that will bring a swift end to the Freedom Fighters". Hamlin looked happy with himself "That was only an inkling of its destructive potential". Finitevus then gave a slight smirk "I will tell him that I will be taking control over the weapon I first spoke of years ago effective immediately". Hamlin scoffed before his face turned to anger "We stand here amidst my achievement! Not yours!". Finitevus' face didn't change "I'm afraid the recent security breaches have laid bare your inadequacies as a military director". Hamlin tried to calm himself "The breaches have been filled. Shin has been silenced" "You think this pilot acted alone? He was dispatched from an installation on Obidon, Dr Ellidy's facility". Hamlin thought to himself for a second "We'll see about this" he storms out of the room.
