Meanwhile, Crusher, Blaze, Stripes and Darington drove through a snowy landscape.
"Whoa..." AJ glanced around in wonder. "Guys, check out all the snow!"
"Ooh!" Blaze giggled. "This is great! Come on, everyone!"
"Don't have to tell me twice!" Crusher rolled a snowball into his tire and threw it at his brother before driving off.
"HEY!" Blaze laughed as he rolled more snowballs into his tire. "You all better run!"
Stripes and Darington let out a laugh as they followed after the dark blue truck, all of them cheering and squealing as they tried to avoid getting hit by a snowball. They all began to play more in the snow, each letting out excited laughter and happy cheers as they drove around.
"Whoo-hoo!"
"Yeah-heh-heh-heh!"
"Whooooo!"
"Yeah!"
"All right!"
"Zeeeeeeeeg!"
The group stopped playing at the familiar voice from a distance.
"Hey, that sounds like our friend Zeg, the dinosaur truck!" Darington pointed out.
"There he is!" Blaze cried out as they all looked up to see Zeg inside his bubble. "He's still in that bubble!"
"Yoo-hoo! Up here!" Zeg called their attention but gasped as he floated up to the top of a mountain. "Whoaaaaaaaa!"
"Zeg!" Stripes gasped.
"Zeg have to get out of bubble!" Zeg said, holding out his tires with a roar. "Zeg smash bubble!"
"Uh," Crusher hissed in disapproval. "I... don't think that's a good idea!"
"Zeg, wait-!" Blaze tried to stop the dinosaur truck but was too late.
"ZEEEEEEG!" Zeg yelled out as he popped his bubble. "Uh-oh!"
He dropped to the ground with a scream, landing on the snow with a thud. He then began to roll down the mountain in a snowball.
"Whoaaaaaaaa!" he screeched. "HEEEEEELP!"
"Zeg!" AJ gasped. "Oh no!"
"He's rolling away in a giant snowball!" Darington cried out.
"Don't worry, guys. We'll catch him!" Blaze offered then he and Crusher sped off to follow the dinosaur truck.
"Whoa!" Zeg cried out, feeling lightly dizzy. "Zeg can't stop rolling! WHOAOAOAOA!"
"We're comin', Zeg!" Crusher called out.
The brothers sped up, going faster and faster to try to catch up with the dinosaur truck. They turned left, right and vice versa, following the huge snowball in attempt to save their friend... until they realized that the road was ending at a cliff.
"Gaskets! Zeg is headed right for that cliff!" Blaze gasped.
"Whoa-oh, this bad!" Zeg proceeded to panic. "ZEEEEEEEEEEEEEG!"
"We've gotta go super fast to catch him!" AJ suggested.
Crusher and Blaze nodded in agreement as they deployed their boosters.
"Leeeeeet's Blaze!"
Both brothers take off, a contrail of mainly blue and red following behind them. Zeg was getting close to the cliff, causing the dinosaur truck's panic to rise.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa!"
Zeg screamed as he flew off the cliff. Crusher and Blaze skidded to a stop before firing their tow hooks to grab Zeg. As soon as their hooks clicked, they retracted the rope, pulling the dinosaur truck to safety. Zeg gasped as his tires met the snow on the ground once more. He cheered.
"Oh, Zeg so happy!" he pulled the two monster machines into a hug. "Crusher and Blaze save Zeg!"
"Ack!" Crusher was taken back by the hug. "N-No problem, Zeg,"
"We're just glad you're okay, big guy," Blaze giggled.
"Good work, guys!" Stripes said as he and Darington zoomed over to the brothers.
"Zeg, you're all right!" the stunt truck sighed in relief.
"Zeg safe and sound," Zeg grinned.
"But now, we've gotta get you all back to the Monster Dome," Crusher told them.
"Yeah, the championship race - it's gonna start soon!" Darington agreed with a nod.
"Zeg not want to miss race!" Zeg whined.
"Well then, follow us, everyone!" AJ smiled.
"Yeah!" Blaze nodded, turning away with his big brother. "Full speed ahead!"
The other three monster machines cheered as they followed behind the three brothers. They sped through the snow-covered road and all slid down the mountain. They soon arrived at a blocked cave.
"Hmm, looks like we have to go through this cave to get back to the race," Stripes observed.
"But wait, wha... we can't fit through here," Darington pointed out, glancing at the cave with a frown.
"Hey Zeg, think you can help us get inside?" Blaze asked with a grin.
Crusher narrowed his eyes at his brother. "Blaze, I don't think-"
"ZEEEEEEEEEEG!"
Zeg charged at the cave and smashed the rocks. Crusher yelped while everyone else backed up and raised a tire to not get hit by any of the debris as a cave entrance was revealed.
"Ha-ha. That more like it!"
"Good going, Zeg!" Stripes said with a cheer.
"Yeah!" Blaze nodded.
"Come on, everybody!" Darington called out. "This way!"
They all zoomed inside, sans Crusher, who sighed and slapped a tire on his face.
"Sure, go in a mystery cave with no sense of safety precautions whatsoever," he groaned before following after the group. "When we get back to Axle City, Blaze, AJ and I REALLY need to have a talk about 'safety'..."
He soon caught up to the others, and they went through the cave. Just as they did, they soon heard faint singing from a distance.
"~Yodel-ay-ee...yodel-ay-ee...yodel-ay-ee...~"
"Listen," Blaze gasped. "someone is singing."
"~I'm lost in a caddy, gotta get out of this place,
Won't someone help me get back to the race?~"
Stripes sniffed the air and zoomed forward to lead them. "It sounds like it's coming from... down there!"
He pointed to a hole, and they all gathered around to see Starla inside. She didn't seem to notice them as she continued to sing aloud.
"~Yodel-ay-ee...yodel-ay-ee...yodel-ay-ee...~"
"It's Starla, the cowgirl truck!" AJ cried out.
"Hey Starla! Up here!" Darington called out to catch the cowgirl truck's attention.
"Huh?" Starla glanced up at them, and her eyes lit up. "Well, bust my bumpers! I've been found! Hey, hey, hey, y'all gotta help me, I'm down in this hole, and I... AND I CAN'T GET OUT!"
"Sit tight, Starla!" Blaze told her. "All your friends are here, and we'll get you out... somehow!"
They all looked around for something to use. AJ soon spotted something with wide eyes.
"Guys, check this out!" he pointed to the nearby object. "It's a pulley!"
"A what now?" Stripes tilted his head. "What's a pulley?"
"The pulley has a rope that goes through it with a bucket on each end," Crusher explained, driving to the object. "When one bucket goes down, the other one will come up,"
"We can use this to get Starla out of the hole," AJ suggested.
"Starla, climb into that blue bucket!" Blaze instructed.
"Okeydoke!" Starla nodded and jumped into the blue bucket. "YEEEEEEEEEEE-HAW!"
"Now, let's fill the green bucket with heavy stuff, so that it goes down and Starla comes up," Crusher told them.
"Uh... how heavy are we talking about?" Darington asked.
"Hmm..." AJ set his visor down and narrowed his eyes. "My visor says that Starla weighs 12, so we need to put things in the green bucket until it weighs more than 12,"
"Everyone, look for heavy things we can put in the bucket," Blaze said, causing the others to nod and scatter around to search.
"Ooh, ooh!" Darington returned with an armchair. "How about this old chair?"
He threw it in, and AJ checked the weight. He frowned and shook his head.
"No, the green bucket isn't heavy enough yet," he replied.
"Hey, check out this book I found!" Stripes grunted as he returned with a big book and attempted to push it towards them. "It's pretty heavy!"
He tossed it to Blaze, who threw it in the bucket. AJ checked out the weight and shook his head.
"Starla's bucket still weighs more," he told them.
"Oh... come on, y'all!" Starla urged them. "You just gotta make that green bucket a liiiittle heavier!"
"Look what Zeg find - big can of beans!" Zeg cried out as he grunted while he pushed a giant can of beans into the bucket.
"What is a giant can of beans doing in a cave?" Crusher raised an eyebrow.
"I don't know, but I'm glad there is!" AJ smiled. "They're finally the same weight!"
"Whoa-ho-ho-ho-ho!" Starla cheered as both buckets began to move. "Hey y'all, look at me! I'm even with the green bucket!"
"But to get Starla all the way up, we need the green bucket to weigh more than 12!" Blaze shook his head.
"If only we had something to make it a little heavier," Darington sighed.
"Hey!" Crusher pulled out a shovel out of a patch of grass. "What about this shovel? Even if I don't know why there's a shovel here..."
"Yeah!" Blaze grinned. "Toss it in, Crusher!"
Crusher tossed the shovel in the green bucket. The buckets began to move, with the green one lowering down more while the blue one was rising.
"Yes!" Darington clapped his tires together. "The green one is heavier!"
"Yee-haw!" Starla cried out, jumping out of the bucket and landing with the rest of the group.
"She made it!" Stripes cheered.
"Good to have you back, Starla," AJ said.
"Shoot, I can't thank you fellers enough for rescuin' me," Starla smiled.
"Let's hurry outta here, so we can get you and your friends back to the race," Blaze suggested.
He and Crusher deployed their boosters once more. Starla's eyes widened in surprise.
"Hoo-whee, you two!" she chuckled. "You both must be mighty fast!"
"They sure are - they have Blazing Speed!" Stripes excitedly spoke. "Show her, guys!"
"Come on, big bro, let's show them how fast we can go!" Blaze turned to his brother with a smirk.
"Whenever you're ready," Crusher returned the smirk with a nod.
"Leeeeet's Blaze!"
The two soon dashed off, zooming through the tunnel. The other monster machines followed after them, each of them cheering as they all drove through the mine shaft. They zoomed through the place before jumping out of the cave with another cheer. They landed on the ground and proceeded to drive forward in peace... until Starla spotted a magnet in a tree.
"Ooh! Well, lookee what I found - a funny lookin' horsehoe," she grabbed it with her lasso. "Hey, y'all! You gotta come check this out!"
The others drove over to see what she found when the magnet suddenly attached to her bumper. She shrieked in surprise.
"Yow!" she looked over and hissed. "It's stickin' to me! I can't.. .I can't shake it off! Can't shake it!"
Blaze drove over to take a closer look before lauging. "It's okay, Starla. It's just a magnet,"
"A huh?" Starla looked confused.
"A magnet," Crusher repeated as he got it off the cowgirl truck. "Magnets attach to most things made out of metal, like us Monster Machines,"
It soon stuck to his hood, causing him, Starla and Blaze to laugh. AJ giggled and hopped over to help his brother remove the magnet.
"Whoo-wee! That's one nifty doodad," the cowgirl chuckled.
"Hey guys, look!" Darington pointed up ahead. "It's the Monster Dome!"
"If we hurry, we can still make it in time for the race!" Stripes cried out.
"Yay!" Zeg cheered. "Zeg want to race!"
"Well, come on!" Blaze called out as he, AJ and Crusher took the lead. "This way, everyone! Follow me!"
The group cheered as they follow the brothers towards Axle City. The scene played on the Monster Dome's jumbotron, and the crowd applauded happily as they watched the racers make their return.
Of course, only Speedrick was the only one not happy. In fact, he was upset and enraged as he watched the group return.
"It's just not fair!" he whined as he made his way to the hot dog stand. "I wanna be the only Monster Machine in the race! But that Blaze guy is bringing everyone back!"
'Oh, boo-hoo.' Pickle groaned and rolled his eyes at the white monster machine but being the good truck he was, he still held out a box of tissues for the larger truck. "Don't cry, you big baby. Here, have a tissue,"
Speedrick snatched one and blew his nose into it, sending him and the hot dog stand backwards with a groan. Pickle snorted. The white monster machine glared daggers at him as he picked himself up.
"Well..." he dusted himself up. "I guess there's only one thing left to do,"
"Race 'em fair and square?" Pickle raised an eyebrow, but he knew better than to hope.
"No, you idiotic cucumber!" Speedrick snickered. "I'm gonna cheat more than I've ever cheated before!"
He took out a metal crate from out of nowhere and pressed the button on top. Suddenly, the crate opened, and an group of huge robot knights of red, gold and silver appeared in front of them. He smirked.
"My worst contraptions yet - it's my army of robot knights!"
"You son of a-" Pickle snarled at the white monster truck. "That's gonna hurt Crusher too, you moron!"
"Not if I don't tell 'em to," Speedrick huffed. "Now, march, robot knights! Stop those Monster Machines from getting back to the race! All except lightning boy! Grab him and bring him here!"
"Oh, as if cheating wasn't enough," Pickle glared at the larger truck. "You're gonna go with kidnapping too?!"
"I do what's necessary to get what I want!" Speedrick let out an evil laugh. "MWUHAHAHAHAHA!"
The robot knights marched out of the Monster Dome and made their way down the streets. Meanwhile, Blaze, AJ and Crusher were leading the group down the same street at top speed.
"This way, guys!" the red truck urged them. "We're almost there!"
Suddenly, stomping noises could be heard approaching them, causing them to screech into a halt. They all gasped as they saw the robot knights marching towards them.
"Lugnuts!" Crusher hissed. "Robot knights!"
"Robot knights?" Zeg gulped.
"Speedrick must've sent them to stop us from getting to the race!" Darington cried out.
"Oh... what do we do now, guys?" Starla asked, turning to the brothers.
"Yeah, guys, what do we do?" Stripes turned to them as did the others.
"I'll tell you what we're gonna do - we're gonna stop those robot knights!" Blaze told them.
"Good idea, Blaze," Crusher agreed with a nod. "From what we can see, the robot knights get their special power from those big metal shields. So if we take away their shields, they won't have any more power,"
"But guys, how are we gonna take away their metal shields?" AJ asked.
Before either of the brothers could suggest anything, the largest of all the robot knights jumped up towards them and landed right in front of them, causing them to yelp in shock. It turned to Crusher and scooped him up with his shield before turning and marching off.
"Crusher!" Blaze gasped, watching in horror as his brother was taken away.
"Oh, gaskets!" Crusher struggled to get free, but the large robot knight's other hand held him in place. "I'm stuck! It won't let me go!"
"Hang on, Crusher!" AJ called out. "We'll free you from that knight!"
"But how?!" Stripes questioned.
"We can use this!" Blaze took out the magnet from earlier. "A magnet!" He drove up to one of the knights in front of them and called it's attention. "Over here, knight! Try and get me!"
He dashed down a street, and the knight followed him. He smirked as he aimed the magnet at the knight, taking away his shield. This caused him to self-destruct, reducing him to nothing but junk.
"It worked!" AJ cheered. "The magnet pulled away his metal shield, and without his shield, the knight doesn't have any more power!"
"Come on, AJ!" Blaze told him. "Let's use our magnet to pull the shields away from the rest of these knights!"
They zoomed throught the streets, taking the shields of each knight that they saw. Suddenly, they heard screaming, and they turned to see a knight chasing after Stripes up the block.
"Here, Stripes!" Blaze threw the magnet over to the tiger truck. "Catch!"
"Rawwr!" Stripes jumped onto a tree and caught the magnet then he turned to take away the shield and destroy the knight. "All right!"
"Yoo-hoo!" They all turned to see Zeg waving at them from a distance. "Zeg need magnet!"
"There you go, big guy!" Stripes tossed the magnet towards him.
"Yippee!" Zeg aimed the magnet at a knight, taking it's shield and causing it to self-destruct. "Ha-ha, you not so tough without shield!"
"Ooh, ooh!" Darington drove over to them. "Let me try!"
"Go long!" Zeg threw the magnet over.
Darington grinned and jumped off a ramp as he aimed to catch the magnet. "DARINGTOOOOOOOON!" He caught the magnet with ease and landed with a skidded tires, taking away a knight's shield and deactivating it. "Ta-da!"
"Whoaaaaa!"
The boys turned to see Starla being chased by three of the remaining knights. Darington gasped and threw the magnet over to her.
"Starla, take this!"
Starla grinned and took out her lasso. She threw the rope and caught the magnet with ease before skidding her tires and turning to the knights with a grin.
"Hey, knights! Where do you think you're goin'?" she proceeded to face them head on, magnet now in her tires. "Yip, yip, yip!" One by one, she took away their shields, causing them to self-destruct. "YEEEEEEEEEEE-HAAAAAAAW!"
The group soon regrouped. They each let out a victorious cheer.
"I reckon that's all of 'em," Starla said.
"Not all!" Blaze pointed to the largest one, who still held his brother in his grasp.
"BLAZE, AJ, HELP!" Crusher cried out.
"We're coming, Crusher!" AJ called out before he stepped on the pedal, causing Blaze to dash forward to catch up to the robot knight.
"Here ya go, boys!" Starla tossed the magnet to them
Blaze grabbed it and aimed it at the shield. This caused the robot knight to stop and struggle, pulling hard to resist the magnet. Crusher's eyes widened in realization.
"The magnet! It's weakening it!"
"If we remove it's shield, it'll disappear, like the rest of them!" Blaze told his brother, pulling hard and skidding his tires as hard as he could.
"On it!" Crusher nodded and proceeded to help by kicking on the shield to push it down. "Let... me... GO!"
Their efforts were rewarded, fortunately, when the shield came off, causing the robot knight to wail before disappearing. Crusher surfed the shield down the road before hopping off, skidding beside his brother. Blaze beamed and dropped the magnet then he enveloped his big brother into a truck hug.
"Crusher! You're okay!"
"Of course I am," Crusher chuckled and returned the hug before pulling away. "I knew you could save me,"
"Wow, guys!" the brothers turned to see their friends drive over to them. "That was amazing!"
"That was awesome!" Darington cried out, high-tiring with Crusher. "You alright, dude?"
"Better now," Crusher nodded. "But nice work, everyone!"
"Yeah!" Blaze agreed with a nod. "We really make a great team!"
"Racers to the starting line!" Bump's voice yelled out through the speaker of the Monster Dome.
"Oh no!" Stripes gasped. "The race is starting!"
"Come on, everyone, let's move!" Blaze told them before turning for him and Crusher to lead them to the Monster Dome.
Meanwhile, inside, Speedrick was approaching the starting line. He grinned evilly as Bump made his way to the stand.
"Speedrick, start your engine!"
Speedrick giggled evilly as he revved up his engine. "Thanks to my rotten tricks, none of the other racers made it back in time! A shame that lightning boy can't watch me race, but at least no one can beat me, now!"
Suddenly, Blaze and Crusher's horns echoed through, alarming him with a yelp. He turned to see the pyrotechnics shoot upward, and fog surrounded the ground, as Blaze, Crusher and the rest of the Monster Machines made their grand entrance. The crowd applauded wildly.
"I wouldn't be so sure about that!" Blaze grinned, throwing the white monster truck a glance.
"NO!" Speedrick wailed, glaring at the red truck and the racers angrily. "That's not possible!"
"All racers to the starting line!" Bump told them, already eager to start the race.
The racers all cheered as they drove forward to the starting line. Only Crusher, Blaze and AJ stayed in their place, with Pickle and Gabby coming over to greet and congratulate them.
"Great work, guys!" Gabby said.
"Yeah!" Pickle nodded in agreement. "I really thought Speedrick was gonna win! Thank goodness you guys saved them before the race could start!"
"Yeah, thank goodness," Crusher sighed in relief.
"All right, guys!" Blaze beamed, turning to the other racers. "Good luck out there in the race!"
This caused the racers to stop and turn back to them.
"Hey! Hang on, guys," Starla raised an eyebrow at them. "Ain't you two gon' race with us?"
"Yeah!" Stripes agreed. "You guys should be in the race, too!"
"You want US to race with YOU?!" Crusher and Blaze looked bewildered at the invitation, glancing at one another in surprise.
"Of course, we want you guys to race with us!" Darington nodded. "You both are our friends!"
"Blaze and Crusher friends!" Zeg cheered.
"Come on, guys, you've gotta race!" AJ encouraged his brothers.
"Yeah!" Pickle beamed and jumped for joy. "You two should totally race!"
"All right!" Blaze turned to his brother with a smile. "What do you think, Crusher? We'll do it together!"
"Yeah!" Crusher nodded in excitement. "Let's race!"
The brothers drove forward, causing the crowd to applaud excitedly.
"Ladies and gentletrucks!" Bump announced. "Please welcome to the starting line for the first time ever: BLAZE AND CRUSHER!"
The audience began to cheer and applaud louder. They began to chant their names as they made their way by each of Speedrick's side. The said white truck huffed and glared at the red truck.
"Hmph. This race is mine, Blaze - no one is gonna beat me!" he snarled before turning to smirk at the dark blue truck. "Not even you, lightning boy~ Though I'd like to see you try~"
Crusher rolled his eyes, finding the tone surprisingly familiar as he ignored the white truck. Blaze found the tone just as familiar, causing him to growl but smirk at the larger truck.
"We'll just see about that, Speedrick,"
The starting lights began to count down. The racers tensed up as they watched the lights and waited to race.
"On your marks! Get set...!"
Soon, the light flashed green.
"GO!"
The race began, a dust of smoke left behind at the starting line as they drove off. Speedrick was leading with his usual smirk.
"And they're off! Speedrick takes the early lead," Bump spoke into the microphone, watching as the race went on. "but the other Monster Machines are close behind!"
"Yippie-ki-yay!" Starla lassoed to a post and swung over to take the lead.
Speedrick growled and sped up, snatching the lead once more as they zoomed. They turned a corner, and Darington snatched the lead, with Stripes close behind with a cry. The white truck snarled and swiftly drove past them, grabbing the lead once more as they zoomed forward even more.
"Ha-ha-ha!" he laughed evilly as he knocked over some cans of oil and stacks of tires into the race track. "A little cheating oughta slow those guys down,"
"Look out!" Stripes cried out as he slipped on the oil. "Woah!"
Starla, Darington and Zeg yelped as they too slipped on the oil and stumbled on the tires in their way.
"Oh no!" Bump winced at the scene. "Truck after truck is being knocked out of the race! But hold on!" He looked over, watching as Blaze and Crusher dodge the oil and the tires. "two Monster Machines are still on his tires! Whoa-oa-oa!"
"Come on, fellas!" Starla cheered them on, as did the others. "Come on!"
"It's Blaze and Crusher!" Bump announced with a cheer.
Speedrick rolled his eyes before speeding forward to the finish line. AJ's eyes widened as he watched him do so.
"Uh-oh!" he cried out. "Speedrick's almost at the finish line!"
"We can still beat him!" Blaze assured him. "Let's use Blazing Speed and go faster than we've ever gone before!"
"Good idea!" Crusher nodded in agreement.
They deployed their boosters once more, causing the crowd to gasp in awe as they watched the brothers crouch down to zoom.
"Leeeeeeet's Blaze!"
They took off with a cheer and a cry, leaping into the air and spinning around together.
"OHHHHHH-HO-HO-HO!"
"WHOO-HOO!"
The brothers flew over Speedrick and landed right in front of him, zooming off to finish the race. The white truck's jaw dropped in shock.
"WHAT?!"
"Yeah!" AJ exclaimed. "We passed him!"
"And the winners are... BLAZE AND CRUSHER!" Bump announced with a cheer as he watched the brothers cross the finish line.
Fireworks began to go off while the crowd cheered at their loudest. Blaze, Crusher and AJ high-tire before they drove over to stand on the winner's podium.
"We won, guys!" AJ cheered. "We really won!"
"I'm so proud of you both, Blaze and AJ," Crusher laughed and patted his little brother's head. "You guys were incredible!"
"We both were, Crusher," Blaze smiled, wrapping a tire around his big brother. "We were both incredible!"
"YOU GUYS SURE WERE!"
They turned to see Pickle zooming towards them with a happy scream. They all laughed as the other Monster Machines joined them at the podium.
"Rawwr!" Stripes high-tired with them. "You guys did it!"
"Yeah!" Darington nodded with a wide smile. "You guys won!"
Blaze giggled, a dark blush on his face. Crusher and AJ side-glanced one another but kept silent as Zeg high-tired them too.
"Yay for Blaze and Crusher!" the dinosaur truck cheered.
"Oh, thanks, guys!" Crusher and Blaze let out a laugh.
"Guys, Guys!" They turned to see Gabby running over to them.
"Hey, there's Gabby!" the red truck greeted.
"Congratulations!" she told them. "You guys are the champions!"
"We... are?" Crusher looked surprised, as did Blaze.
"Look, guys!" AJ gasped, causing his brothers to turn to him. "It's the trophy!"
The trio gasped as a golden trophy from earlier rose from the podium. "Woooooooow!"
"Blaze, Crusher!" Bump spoke as he drove over to join the winners. "You two just won the Monster Machine World Championship! What are you both going to do next?"
"Well..." Blaze grinned, glancing at his brother, who returned the grin. "I think my brother and I'd like to hang out with all of our new friends!"
"Yeah!" Crusher nodded and turned to the other racers. "You guys wanna go around the track again?"
"Totally!"
"Oh-ho!"
"Yeah!"
"Sure do!"
"You rock!"
The brothers laughed as they led the group to the track, this time with Pickle following behind them. The crowd cheered as they they zoomed off, going around the race track once more.
X
"So, we're officially moving in here?" Crusher asked with a raised eyebrow as they drove out of the Monster Dome after waving their friends goodbye.
"Yep!" Blaze nodded with a beam. "We'll have to call Mom and Dad and Sparkle and tell them all about the race and-"
"Woah, slow down, Blaze," AJ laughed at the red truck's enthusiasm. "We'll be able to do all those as soon as we get a place to stay,"
"Already on it!" Pickle said, showing off his phone. "I already called grandpa, and he said that our family's got a place for us to stay in Axle City!"
"Nice one, Pickle!" Blaze high-tired with the green truck. "We already got our stuff, so all we need to do is..."
Crusher sighed and rolled his eyes with a chuckle as he listened to his younger brother go on and on about what they needed, what they could do before the races and etc. He had just gotten out his planning notebook to write down everything the red truck was saying when a tire suddenly grabbed him and pulled him aside to an alley way, causing to yelp in shock.
"H-Hey!" he growled as he found himself face to face with the one and only jerk in the city. "Oh, it's you. What do you want?"
"Now, now, there's no need to be upset, lightning boy~" Speedrick smirked, cornering the dark blue truck to the wall. "I just wanted to have a little chat with you~"
"After what you did to my brothers, not a chance," Crusher huffed, trying to get around the larger truck. "And FYI, Pickle told me about your kidnapping attempt, and I'm not flattered,"
"Aw, that's too bad~" Speedrick still blocked his path with a tire, a flirty grin. "Because that annoying brother of yours can't stop me from taking you right here and then...~"
Crusher shuddered at the tone of his voice as he drove back, trying to get away from the white truck as much as possible. He hit the wall behind him with a thud, causing him to sigh and hold his tires out in front of him to give distance. Speedrick snickered at the other's efforts, but before he could do anything else, he screamed as a tow hook suddenly grabbed him and pulled him away, throwing him to the furthest dumpster.
"Argh..." he groaned, rubbing his head as he picked himself up.
"LEAVE MY BROTHER ALONE, YOU LUNATIC!"
He glanced up and growled as he saw Blaze and AJ glaring at him. Pickle was with them, a scowl on his face as he helped Crusher out of the alley way.
"Thanks," the dark blue truck sighed in relief.
"Oh come on, Blaze," Speedrick rolled his eyes. "I was just having a little... chat with Crusher,"
"Having a little 'chat' and what you were planning to do are TWO DIFFERENT THINGS!" Blaze snarled, driving forward to grab the large white truck by the hair. "I'm not an idiot, Speedrick! I've seen others do the same to Crusher and some to Pickle and to me! Don't you DARE do that again, or I will strangle you and make sure NO ONE finds your body. You GOT that?!"
"Alright, alright! Sheesh!" Speedrick pried himself from the other's tire with a shudder. "I'm leaving, I'm leaving..."
Pickle and the brothers watched as the white truck cursed under his breath before driving off and away from them. Blaze sighed as he turned back to face his brother.
"You alright, Crusher?"
"Better now," Crusher smiled and hugged the other. "Thanks,"
"Guess we have to keep a better eye on Speedrick over there," AJ pointed out with a frown. "I thought he was just a cheater, but he's worse than that!"
"Guys, I'm fine," Crusher assured them with a sigh and a smile.
"I'm still carrying a bat around," Pickle huffed.
"Yeah..." Blaze agreed with a nod. "And I don't think we should separate much, in case Speedrick tries anything again,"
"Alright, alright, that's fair," Crusher sighed and nodded as they turned to drive off and away from the alley way.
