Chapter 4: The Christmas Tree Renormalization
Eventually I felt good enough to leave the apartment. While I freshened up, Leonard went to ask Amy & Sheldon if they wanted to join us.
"For god's sake Sheldon, a simple no would have been fine!" I heard Leonard scream across the hall
"I take it they're busy?"
"Apparently winning a nobel wasn't enough. They're doing more science."
"Oh good god. Ready?"
"I guess so. You want to drive?"
"Sure. But if I get nauseous I need you at the ready."
"Deal." He said as he kissed me.
We walked out of the apartment and down to the car. I drove us to Sam's Tree Lot, where Leonard & I chose a tree. We had the people who worked there tie it up and put it on the roof for us. We didn't need a repeat of the first time we went tree shopping, where it took forever to get the tree, and it fell on the windshield on the drive home. Not to mention the tree fell on Leonard, and there was an animal inside of it.
Then Leonard's phone rang, it was Howard.
"You guys want to have dinner? Bernie thought you might want to spend some time with kids." said Wolowitz.
"Dinner with Wolowitz's?" I asked my wife
"Just us?" She replied
"Just the six of us Howard?"
"Um, well, Stuart and Denise are here. And so is Raj."
"Put them on speaker." Penny whispered
"In that case just invite everyone." Penny said
"What time Howard? We're at the tree lot so we're close..." I said
"Just come now, I'll call Sheldon." Wolowitz said
Penny reached over, kissed me and drove to Wolowitz's.
