The wind blew fast through SheZow's hair and cape. She had herself on the way, riding her She-Cycle through the streets of Megadale town.
"Guy, you should be there in a couple of minutes" said Sheila through the comms in the helmet.
"Got it, got it" SheZow nodded, speeding up the motorcycle, hurrying to get to the place.
She arrived and stood still by her bike. Before her the big gray building with large pipes, releasing clouds of dark gray smoke - town's chemical factory. It was a little stinky around, and because of the smoke, sky was darkened, making a slight grim atmosphere.
"Ugh, so much gray…" SheZow muttered. "They should've shut this place down long ago…"
"Be careful there, Guy" said Sheila's voice in the helm. "Sensors show there are many of them - twenty or more, not less. Good for us is that they all still on the first floor…"
"Ooh, a whole raid I see…" Guy whistled. "And don't worry, Sheila, I will be careful. I always am. They don't call me Mr. Safe Kid for nothing"
"Really?" said Sheila in a slightly scolding voice tone. "And your sister said nobody calls you like that…"
"Nevermind it" Guy cut her out as he approached the entrance door. "Besides, it's not like I open the door, and they all stand here, staring at me and holding their guns up-" he didn't finish, as he opened the door - and the first thing he saw were all twenty bandits looking at him with confusion, but holding their blasters up, ready to shoot. Guy let go the helmet, which resulted in it falling on the ground.
"Um… Konnichiwa?" SheZow nervously said. The answer was only a loud laughter of all bandits, which then got quickly cut by noise of shootout.
Few minutes later, SheZow managed to fight her way to the good hiding place, even knocking down some bandits on her way, but they still were outnumbering her. She crouched behind some boxes, looking from behind them at the approaching bandits. They didn't stop the fire, making it unable for her to engage open fight.
"Have they got an endless ammo or something?" SheZow whined quietly. "Think, think… There must be a way…" as she heard the steps of approaching enemy forces, she used her Ribbon Shooter to swing up and escape.
"Good luck at catching me!" she mockingly said to them, as they let out a few curses. However, because of this distraction, she flew over the bridge of the second floor, falling right near one of the huge chemical canisters. She got buried under lot of barrels, but quickly got back to her feelings and got up.
"Oops, a little over the edge…" she said, feeling a little dizzy. She didn't notice a bandit up above, holding a barrel. He poured its contents down on the heroine, hoping it would help to stop her. Loud splash - and SheZow got covered in green slime.
"Eew, gross!" she shouted, shaking it off. Fortunately, it wasn't sticky at all, so it just slid off. However, it left SheZow's suit stained in goo and her hairdo got completely ruined. Also, in the process, her Laser Lipstick fell off the belt, now lying on the ground, without the pink heroine noticing it.
"Oh great…" she grumbled, adjusting her now messy hair mane. "Luckily, I have the solution…" she grabbed the special She-Hairspray from her belt and squeezed the button, spraying a little pink cloud. It flowed over her hair, instantly bringing them back to their usual neat state.
"That's better…" she said, looking at the bottle of spray. "And I got the idea…"
The bandits approached the place she supposedly fell - even the one who poured slime on the heroine. Suddenly, right behind some boxes, a flask of SheZow's hairspray flew to them, hitting the ground and letting out a dense cloud of pink smoke. Bandits covered their mouths and began to cough. While their sight got concealed, few of them got dragged in the depth of the smoke. One of them, who noticed it, tried to run, but got quickly knocked down.
When the smoke dissolved, most of them were down and tied up. Few still stood, but seeing the fate that had befallen their pals, they took to their heels. Chasing them and getting down eventually wasn't even a little hard for the heroine.
Soon, all the twenty bandits were disarmed and knocked down, with their legs and arms tied by trusty ribbons. SheZow placed them near the entrance of the factory, then she heard the police car siren sound approaching the place.
"Looks like my job here is done" she said, hopping on her She-Cycle and dashing away.
As SheZow appeared in the She-Lair, she saw her allies doing their needed things - Kelly searching something before the screen of Sheila and Maz sketching something in his notebook. SheZow looked at her belt to see if it's also stained by goo.
"Oh man!" she said, realizing that the Laser Lipstick is absent.
"What is wrong, Guy?" asked Kelly, turning to the heroine.
"Laser Lipstick is gone!" he grumbled.
"I'm sure there's nothing to worry about, dude" Maz said, getting up and putting aside the notebook. "You can always have a new one. Right, Sheila?"
"Yes, I can arrange a new one" answered the computer voice. "But I'd suggest getting back to that factory and search a little. Better check if it's still there, so no one could accidentally find it and get in trouble".
"Yeah, you're right…" heroine said in annoyed tone. She was pretty tired, and now she has to ride to that factory again without having even a little rest. "But first…" she waved her hand with the ring in a gesture similar to one she usually does while transforming. Her suit let out the pink glimmer and all goo stains vanished from her clothes. "That's better" she said, getting on the She-Cycle. "See you all!"
It was late evening, the skies were a little dark. SheZow approached the factory - unlike the previous time, now it was all sealed and surrounded by a yellow police tape.
"Good there're none of the actual cops around…" SheZow said to herself, carefully trespassing the tape and entering the factory building. Due to the darkness outside, the lights were on - but they were flickering constantly and their light was faint, leaving the whole huge building in a twilight and making it eerie.
"Wow, never imagined that a simple factory can give me goosebumps…" whispered SheZow, walking through the building and looking at the floor, searching for her gadget. Unfortunately, there was no sign.
SheZow approached the place she fell to and got poured down in waste back then. She looked back while walking to check if she's still alone here, but accidentally stepped into the goo puddle that was still there.
"Ah, great, I cleaned the suit not long ago!" she whined, shaking the slime from her boot. "I'm out of here, lipstick is gone…" she said, heading to the entrance.
As soon as her steps faded… The puddle flinched. Then again. The drops from around began to slowly crawl to each other, merging together. They formed a big slime chunk that slowly began to rise and gain form. The lost Laser Lipstick could be seen sticking out of the slime, getting slowly absorbed. The slime took form of a human. SheZow's gadget got stuck in the arm. The human figure stood still, quiet and menacing. The faint sound, resembling a sinister laughter, emerged - so quiet that it wasn't enough to make an echo in the empty building…
On the next day, after school, Guy and Maz were in Guy's room. They glared at each other, engaged in a staring contest, not wanting to blink. Kelly, who wandered nearby, holding the laundry basket in her hands, noticed it.
"What are you doing?" she asked.
"Don't disturb us, sister" Guy said. "This is an important contest here!"
"Yeah" Maz added. "The loser has to drink the last drops from that can of "Fritz'o'Fizz". It's one week old and already lost all fizz…"
"And?" Kelly raised her eyebrow in confusion.
"Fritz'o'Fizz" without a fizz is disgusting, Kelly" Guy answered. "How can you not know this, I thought you're the smartskirt here…" Kelly just sighed at this statement.
"Just don't damage your eyes, boys…" she said, continuing her way through the hallway.
"Thanks for care, Kel" said Maz and kept staring in Guy's eyes.
As Kelly walked back with now empty basket, she noticed the boys still staring at each other, with their eyes full of tears from not blinking. She sighed. Maz turned his head to her and blinked.
"Yeah, I won!" Guy cheered, grabbing the can. "Now take and drink it all!"
"Hey, it's not my fault!" Maz tried to retaliate. "Kelly distracted me, blame her!"
"How is it my fault?!" she exclaimed, dropping the basket and approaching Maz.
The two began to argue loudly, like a married couple. Guy quickly got bored, as their argument went on for long time. Guy didn't even notice he drank the contains of the can himself, looking at his sister and friend with the "are you done already?" expression.
Suddenly, he felt the weird sensation - like a burn in the back of his head. It wasn't the She-sense, no - it was just pure intuition, his subconsciousness telling him that he's watched. The most creepy thing about it was that he felt it not for the first time in a day - during the school bus ride, in the school itself and on the way home he felt the same time to time. He looked around and gazed in the window attentively, but saw nothing.
"That's so weird…" he thought.
"Guy, you alright?" asked Maz, who noticed his friend's nervousness and quitted the argument. Kelly gladly supported this.
"Yeah, Guy, you've been like this almost all day… Something is wrong?" she said, coming closer and grabbing her brother's hand.
"Um, no, don't worry, guys, I'm fine" Guy replied. "Actually, I was thinking about that it's lunchtime already..." he went bright, as he got an idea. "Wait here, I have a wonderful idea for it…"
Guy slid the fresh small chopped beef, which he had fried to perfection onto the freshly warmed thin, flat, circular flatbread. He sprinkled some chopped up lettuce, cheese as well as a bit of tomatoes. Maz and Kelly entered the kitchen to see three of those things on the plate.
"You came just in time, amigos" Guy said with a smile. "I'm just done with those. Enjoy the masterpiece!"
"Wow, dude, I didn't know you can make tacos" said Maz in awe, grabbing one taco and taking a bite. "Mmm, that tastes amazing!"
"Yeah, Guy has his own talents" Kelly smiled. "More accurately, two of them - making wonderful tacos and being a total nuisance" she giggled.
"Looks like someone doesn't want a taco" Guy said slyly, taking the plate closer to himself. Kelly just stuck out her tongue in a joking manner and quickly snatched one tasty treat to herself.
"Hey! No food without apologies!" Guy shouted, also in playful manner. He then chased her around the small kitchen, but they quickly got stopped by Maz.
"Hey hey, kids, remember the rules of etiquette - no running with food" he said, with his voice tone only supporting the joyful mood.
"She can't have her taco before she apologize!" Guy laughed, faking that he's about to slap Kelly with his taco.
"Okay okay, Mr. Offended Pants" she responded. "I'm sorry, you're not a nuisance, just a little annoying" she smiled while taking a bite.
"That's enough for me" Guy smiled too.
It was quarter before one in the morning. Guy was tossing and turning in his bed, seemingly having bad dreams. He woke up and stood up from the bed. Not only the restless dream bothered him, but his She-sense was tingling like crazy. He headed to the window and opened it. The blow of fresh air struck him in the face. His room was at the second floor, while the window opened the view of Hamdons' backyard. Guy, not wanting to bother all the others in the house, took his blanket rope, that he had prepared for emergency cases right under his bed, and used it to get outside from the window.
Hamdons' backyard was pretty big, with a grassy lawn and a brown low plank fence over it. Street was lit by the bright enough light of the street lamps along the way. The moon also shined, creating a quiet, peaceful, almost magical mood.
Guy took a few deep breaths, as all worries slowly left his brain. The danger sense also faded. But as soon as Guy felt fully relieved, something dragged his attention. A shadowed silhouette, standing on the other side of the way, likely staring at him. The figure stood still and quiet, almost ominous…
"Huh?" Guy thought. "Who can it be?"
"Hello?" he said out loud. "Who are you? Do you want anything from me?" the figure didn't respond, but silently waved its hand in "come here" gesture. "Should I come to you?" Guy said, confused, as the figure nodded and suddenly dashed up the street. Guy climbed over the fence and chased the figure.
The She-sense acted up once again, but this time Guy decided not to ignore it. He hid behind some trash containers and transformed.
The figure was running swiftly and carefully, avoiding every possible obstacle. SheZow had to activate the super speed to at least keep up the pace enough to not lose the figure from sight.
"Wow, whoever it is, they're a good runner…" SheZow thought, struggling to catch up. The figure took a turn, and the heroine followed. She found herself between two buildings. There was another turn, and the figure slowly disappeared behind it. SheZow got there in one dash - only to see a dead end. There was just a wall there. The person she followed was nowhere to see, like it just vanished.
"What in blazes is going on?" SheZow said to herself. "First the feeling of being watched, then this weird figure lured me here… Since I got this ring, I'm like a magnet for everything weird" before she could finish, the giant green slimy hand emerged from the shadow and wrapped around her, making her unable to move a muscle. The more SheZow struggled, the tighter the hand squeezed her.
"Uugh… What the?" she groaned in pain.
"Helloooo~" deep, almost flirtatious voice came from the shadow. SheZow stared in front of her, trying to see her attacker in the dark. "Ouh, you so want to see me?" the voice asked in playful manner. "Okay, I will show myself. Promise not to lose your head, hee-hee~" The figure came out of the shadows, revealing its appearance. What SheZow saw shocked her.
"Maz?!" she exclaimed, but then observed the slimy hands. "No, you're not Maz…"
"Really? You noticed it?" fake Maz said, with the playful tone fading away from his voice, leaving behind nothing but alike of pure insanity. "And what gave it away? The voice? The hands?" he spun his head at three hundred and sixty degrees. SheZow noticed that his neck turned into a green goo in the process.
"Who are you? Why not you show me your real face?" SheZow growled, still struggling to escape the grip, but the creature with Maz face held her tightly. "Are you so ugly that you're afraid I'll die of disgust by looking at real you?"
"Hm…." fake Maz made a thoughtful expression, but quickly got back the insane one. "No, it's just not interesting for now!" the creature swung its hand, flinging the heroine up in the air. As soon as the slime ties released her, she began panting - this creature held her very tight, making her troubles with breathing. But the slimy limb hasn't gone - it grabbed SheZow's leg and pulled her down, slamming against the ground - or more correctly, the roof. Heroine's body felt numb, as she groaned in pain. It felt like she broke a few ribs, despite her being uninjured - she wasn't senseless or fully impenetrable, but well-protected. Trying to catch her breath, she saw how the creature got on the roof, elongating its legs. It stood right before her. She narrowed her eyes, while the face of Maz had a disappointed look.
"That's not interesting either…" he said, with a lot of boredom in his tone. "I see you can't fight back and that's just boring!"
"Who said?" said SheZow, getting up with big effort and releasing her newly made Laser Lipstick. "I can fight still…"
"As you wish…" Maz-faced shrugged, then smiled maniacally. "Then it's time to get a new face… More natural for me!" Maz's body and face began to morph, flowing with green slime. The creature grew smaller and more… Feminine? The transformation ended. Now the attacker looked almost identical to SheZow with a few exceptions: her skin had a greenish tint, teeth were sharp, and eyes were green; all pink was replaced with green, black replaced with dark purple and white replaced with silver or light gray; instead of a make-up star painting below the right eye, she had make-up lightning painting under her left eye; her bangs were falling on the other side of her face; the "S" insignia on her chest and belt were mirrored, resembling "Z".
"Like what you see?" the creature mocked. "It's like looking in a mirror. Only I'm… Better" creature smirked, while SheZow clenched her teeth.
"No matter who you are, I'm gonna fight you!" she dashed at her clone, but it avoided the attack, and delivered a hard punch. SheZow tried to swing her Lipstick, but the clone caught her arm and turned it, making her drop the gadget. SheZow used the moment to fight back and performed a drop - but the clone just dissolved into a goo and slithered to the side, quickly regaining the form and swinging the enlarged slimy arm. SheZow avoided the attack and got up the Lipstick. As soon as the slimy arm approached, she sliced in with the laser blade. However, the clone haven't shown any signs of pain, dashing to her instead. Before SheZow could react, it delivered a series of hits - punches, elbow and knee hits, - and finished it with grabbing her clothes and throwing her on the surface. It sat down and looked in heroine's face, grinning.
"See it? I am the better of the batch…" the clone ran its hand over SheZow's cheek. "I'm not finishing you for now. You're weakened by a mere run after me…"
"Yeah, and a squeezing grip tight as a hydraulic press…" SheZow groaned.
"How about we meet in the evening, in the local park?" the clone said, grabbing her face by cheeks. "We'll have a nice duel there, and oh - there will be people! The battle will have a lot of spectators!" the clone giggled gleefully. "This will be so fun! And guess what? You have no say in this, haha!" the clone glared at the heroine with wide smile and wild eyes, while its face morphed again. SheZow, unable to speak because of the familiar grip of still holding her cheeks, looked in shock at the new face - this time, the shapeshifting creature got Kelly's face. "Treat your wounds and get ready. I'm gonna wait… Remember, SheZow, I'm not the organic being, so you can release all your strength on me… Too bad it won't save you!" the creature released SheZow's cheeks and walked away, getting down the roof, in the shadows of the street. SheZow kept lying, feeling pain in the body and in the just released face.
"I can't believe I got beaten by an evil lookalike of me…" she thought.
Guy frowned as he kept playing with a straw sticking out of his milk carton. He was in the school cafeteria, with elbows on the metal lunch table, and his head resting on his hand.
"A lookalike of me…" his head was filled with heavy thoughts, which blurred the surroundings and muffled all the sounds. "The slimy hands and even whole body… This slime is like the one on that factory… And it changed forms… No, SHE changed forms… Judging by her words, being a lookalike of me is her natural form… An evil shapeshifting clone of me? That's such a nonsense…" he clenched his teeth and shut his eyes. "But it seems to be true… She seems extremely dangerous. And I thought fighting Tara and dealing with all the secrets was tough…"
"GUY!" feminine voice suddenly shouted very close to him, snapping him back into reality. He blinked few times and look around, seeing Kelly and Maz staring at him with the worried looks on their faces. Kelly also held onto guy's shoulder.
"Uh? What's up, guys..?" he said, feeling kinda confused.
"Dude, Kelly called you for, like, ten minutes, but you didn't respond, only looked somewhere in the void…" Maz said, taking a bite of his sandwich.
"Are you sure that everything's fine, Guy?" asked Kelly, holding onto Guy's arm. "You've been acting weird since yesterday… Is there something that bothers you?" she held Guy's hand in hers, while placing her other hand on his shoulder. Her face was full of worry.
"Don't worry, Kel…" Guy said, smiling and holding his sister shoulders. "It was long ago since I was the "baby brother", now we're grown up… I can deal with things myself…"
"We're still worried about you, pal…" Maz got closer, also having a concerned look.
"I'm all fine, guys, no need to be afraid" Guy reassured them with a smile. "You know, being a hero kinda affects, I've become more thoughtful, that's all…"
"Just know that if something's wrong, we're here for you" Kelly said, smiling at him softly, then turning to Maz, who nodded in agreement. As they got back to their food, Guy looked away.
"I can't let them get involved into this…" he thought. "I have to deal with it myself. I can't put them in risk…"
***
SheZow arrived in the park, steadily walking through the pathways. There were not many people around, but still enough. SheZow walked close to the half-empty playground - and there she felt her She-sense tingle.
"You're here!" a familiar distorted, insane voice exclaimed cheerfully. "And I thought I'd have to lure you out like back then" SheZow looked around, only to see nobody. However, right behind her, green goo rose from the ground, taking a humanoid form and then SheZow lookalike form. SheZow turned and prepared to fight, but the clone dashed at her, faster than she could react at it, and dropped her on the ground, holding her hands with a slimy tentacles its hand turned into.
"A pleasure to play with you" the clone said, smiling wildly. "Would like to speak with more familiar face?" its face morphed into Maz.
"Stop it!" SheZow shouted, blasting upwards, making the clone fall and slide away. It took the humanly shape fast and stood in front of the heroine.
"What's the matter, pal?" the shapeshifter said, mimicking Maz voice. "Don't like to be below? Yes, you're always on the top of everything, it must be painful to lose this place…" SheZow clenched her teeth as she heard these words. It was like they're coming out of real Maz mouth, making a blizzard of emotions inside of SheZow's head.
"Aw, looks like someone feels offended…" the creature mockingly said. "How about a little change?" it morphed its whole body, taking a form of Kelly. "Come on, baby brother, don't be so hard on yourself. You should've known that at that moment…" it smiled, approaching SheZow, who stood still. "The moment you got the ring stuck on your finger… Your life became much better, while ours became worse. How could you let this happen?" it held heroine's shoulders. "You actually took my place here… Guy" it whispered right into heroine's ear in a manipulative way.
"ENOUGH!" SheZow exclaimed, taking out her Laser Lipstick and activating it. "I suppose you called me here not to talk me to death. Whoever you are and whatever you want, let's get over with it!"
"As you wish" fake Kelly smirked, morphing into SheZow-like form. She took the battling stance and adjusted her left hand. It morphed into a green tube, from which the green laser blade came out. "As you see, I have the toys of my own" she giggled.
SheZow dashed, preparing to attack her with her blade, but the clone avoided it, blocking with hers.
"Well well well, look who's angry now" she smirked. "Control that anger, creator, before it controls you!" she delivered a kick which SheZow didn't block, making her back away. SheZow again tried to hit the clone with the Laser Lipstick, but she just blocked it again.
"Who are you?" SheZow growled.
"I told you already… I am you, but better" the clone responded with creepy voice tone. Two lookalikes were engaged in a sword block struggle.
"No, I mean, who are YOU?!" SheZow backed away a little and tried to slice the clone with a vertical swing, which also got blocked. "How you appeared here?"
"Oh, so the creator want to know more about an unwilling creation?" the clone smirked, as the two continued blade battle. "I don't really know myself. It was like a spark. Your DNA came in contact with something… Toxic" she giggled, as her cape and feet began to ooze. "And then I appeared! With this appearance and with a lot of information in my head…" she stood still, shaking and oozing, as SheZow prepared to deliver another blow. "And the ability of this!" she faced up, with her face morphing. First she got Maz face, then Kelly, Guy's mom, dad, Guy himself, Jack, Coldfinger and lastly - Tara. While morphing, she didn't stop her speech. "I know much about you and your family, Guy… And I can tell that they are going to suffer from all these secrets!" as she took Tara's face, SheZow froze in fear. "What's wrong, SheZow? Are you scared?" she said mockingly, approaching SheZow.
"N-no… Stay away!" SheZow backed away, almost dropping her weapon.
"Oh, creator, don't make me sad… I'm not so scary at all" she giggled and then stood straight. "I forgot to tell you one thing… There can't be two of us. Only one should remain" she prepared her laser bladed hand, morphing her face back to SheZow-like. "So now prepare for the game over…"
"Hey!" a sudden male voice dragged their attention. "Get away from her, you creep!" SheZow turned around to see the familiar figure standing in an epic pose. The clone also seemed to recognize the man.
"Maz?" said the both.
"It's Mr. Trench!" said Maz, swinging his brown trench coat, then tilted his had and smiled. "A pleasure to meet you, dames" he came closer to the two and approached the clone. "Why not we sit down and talk, huh?" he tapped its shoulder. "How about a little staring contest?"
While Maz was talking to the clone, SheZow heard some sounds behind. As she looked back, she noticed Kelly hiding behind the tree. Without making a noise, SheZow approached her.
"Kelly?" she whispered once she's close enough. "How did you two found me?"
"Oh, come on, bro, a gal got her way" she said, smiling, then punched SheZow in the shoulder with an angry face.
"Ow! What was that for?" she said, rubbing her shoulder.
"I can't believe you gone out to fight all by yourself!" Kelly scolded the heroine. "I thought that after Tara you'd realize that you can't get rid of us. Sometimes you act like a complete idiot, brother…"
"I'm sorry…" SheZow frowned. Kelly patted her back.
"Whatever, it's not the right time for apologies…" Kelly looked at the direction where the clone was. "We gotta figure out the way to deal with this… Whatever it is".
"Ah! I wasn't expecting it! I don't want to die!" Maz shouted, running away, as SheZow clone chased him. He tripped on his shoelaces and fell. He began to crawl away, seeing the terrifying clone approaching him. "Um, why don't you just relax and talk about it in a peaceful way, uh…" he paused. "What's your name again?"
"Oh yes!" the clone stopped, slightly slapping her forehead. "I completely forgot to say my name… Well, I'm the same as SheZow, but I'm better… I popped into life in a brief moment, like a blast, or the spark, or a zap… Yeah, zap. SheZap!" she smiled proudly.
"Impressive" said Maz, clapping his hands.
"Not a bad name I must say…" SheZow muttered.
"Agree" Kelly responded.
"Aw thank you, boy…" SheZap smiled gleefully, but in no time switched to insanity. "Okay, now let's continue…" but before she prepared to deliver a blow, Kelly ran to her and with all strength hit in the head with a thick branch.
"Try to pick on someone your own gender!" she yelled. SheZap flinched from the hit. Kelly thought she won, but then the villain stood up, glaring at the girl maniacally. On her face was a horrible spot of bare goo oozing from the ripped "skin". The "wound" dissolved in seconds.
"Uh oh…" Kelly said. SheZap swung her Laser Lipstick, but Kelly backed away, so the blade cut only the branch. "You gotta make a plan fast now!" Kelly shouted, speeding away.
"On it, sis!" SheZow shot the ribbon at SheZap, and it wrapped itself around her wrist. However, as SheZow pulled it, the ribbon just squeezed through the slime, "cutting" off SheZap's hand. She quickly grew herself a new one, with her face clearly saying she's not intimidated. However, SheZow got an idea.
"I don't know if it's gonna work, but let's hope it will…" she thought while using her Ribbon Shooters once again, now to drag Kelly and Maz to herself and dash away.
"Running away, creator?" SheZap smirked. "You know it won't work…"
"So, what's your plan?" asked Kelly, hanging on SheZow's back. The heroine herself was climbing up the wall of some building. She did it using the Sticky Cream of course.
"I don't know if it will work, but I hope it will…" heroine responded. "I want to lure her to the electric generator - it has to be on this roof. Let's see how a slime would react on some bolts…"
"I don't know what chemicals she consists of, but let's hope they're bad conductors…" Kelly added.
They arrived at the roof where Maz already waited for them - he went ahead of them before the building and got up on the roof with the elevator. He used the firefighting system to pour a lot of water before the generator.
"All done" he said, quitting the water.
"Now let's just wait for our slimy friend…" SheZow said, looking in the distance.
Soon, the familiar slimy tentacles appeared. SheZap crawled at the roof. SheZow stood still near the generator, hands down and looking serious.
"I see you got the fear away from yourself, creator…" SheZap smiled. "Too bad this won't help. Afraid, brave, even unconscious - it doesn't matter now. One will go, and the other remain…" she licked her lips in a manic way, morphing hand into the laser blade.
"Yes, you are correct…" SheZow responded firmly, also releasing the blade. "And guess what? The one to go is a copy. The original will stay!"
"We'll see it!" SheZap wildly growled, almost like an animal, and dashed to the heroine. But unlike all other previous fights, SheZow moved gracefully and accurate, blocking each blow of enemy's blade. This resembled a dance - a dance of death. The laser blades hissed, hitting against each other.
After a few blows, SheZow spun around, swinging the blade along. SheZap didn't manage to dodge, thus she got her body cut. The injury quickly regenerated, but it was enough for the villain to back away.
"You know what thing in which you're worse than I?" SheZow said, looking right on the opponent.
"I wonder what it is, so tell me please" SheZap responded with a manic voice.
"You are alone. And I'm not" SheZow smiled. "Now, guys!" SheZap raised her eyebrow, confused by such statement. Suddenly, Kelly and Maz jumped from behing the air conditioning blocks, hitting SheZap with thick branches. The villain flinched back, pressing her back against the generator box. Feet of the villain were right in the water puddle.
"SheZap is your name… Then taste the good zap!" SheZow said, grabbing the cable on the ground, which was connected to the box SheZap hit, and thrust this cable forward, right into SheZap's stomach. It penetrated her, making a large hole in her gooey body, and stuck in the box. It caused the huge outburst of electricity, sending a powerful bolt. Sparks flickered around her as she shouted beastly, like she was in pain. Her face distorted in the agony grimace, morphing into various visions of people… Soon the shout faded, as SheZap lost her outlines, oozing and slowly dissolving into a green puddle, which let out a faint smoke…
"So… It's over now…" SheZow said, looking down at the puddle.
"Do you think she's gone forever?" Maz asked.
"As much as I hate it… No" SheZow responded. "I've watched enough movies to know that. Villains are never gone when you believe them to be, they always find their way to come back…" the heroine clenched her fists. "However… She's not getting me again. Now I'm ready to face her…"
"That's the spirit…" Kelly said. "Well, not sure about the others, but I really want to get back home".
"Totally agree!" SheZow and Maz said in unison.
As soon as they're back in the She-Lair and Guy transformed back, Sheila was already there.
"I'm unhappy with you, Guy" she said. "Not only that you dared to commit such a careless action, but you also made everyone around you worried sick! Do you know that you could've died?"
"I know, Sheila…" Guy looked down, frowning.
"Yes, Guy, and yet you did it!" Kelly added, hitting him in the shoulder again. "Who the hell told you that you can run off and fight a shapeshifter without informing us? This is the second time this has happened already!"
"I'm sorry…" Guy said, rubbing his shoulder. "I just… I didn't want to bother you, guys… My paranoia is not something important, that worth your worry. And besides, I was afraid of you getting hurt… I don't want it to happen. I am the hero here, not any of you…"
"Guy…" said Kelly, coming close to him and grabbing his face. "Hero or not, you're my brother. A baby brother, just as you were back then…" she dragged his face closer to hers. "And if something happens to you, I would die… Not because mom or dad. Just wouldn't hold it…" her eyes went teary. "So please, inform us when things like this happen to you again, okay?"
"I will, I promise…" Guy responded, smiling and grabbing her hands, getting them away from his cheeks. Kelly sniffed, smiling, and hugged him.
"Yeah, dude…" Maz added, approaching them. "We do care about you. To the point your paranoia means a lot to us. We are your family. Just deal with it, okay?" without waiting for answer, Maz joined the hug.
Guy couldn't help himself but feel the tear coming to his eye. He smiled, embracing into the hug fully. He was extremely glad he has such a caring friends and family…
Suddenly, all three heard the sniff. They looked around - Sheila's lips on the screen were smiling, while another sniff came from the dynamics.
"Sheila..?" said Guy, feeling awkward and confused about computer sniffing.
"I'm sorry…" she responded in a voice like she was literally crying. "I'm just so glad to see you, kids, caring about each other so much…"
