Shadetail28: honestly wasn't sure if I could mix it well enough but I'm glad you think I am doing a good job at that. I first thought that the characters from the Mario verse would not be able to handle the shinobi, but after I did some research and watching some of the feats from the games, I realized that the characters from the Mario vers could be considered far more powerful than the ones from Naruto's world but since it is done in a cartoony way we don't realize it. She might end up there :)

Re Lovely Lover: the reason Naruto didn't say anything was that he was so distraught about what he learned that he did not think about tossing Mizuki under the bus. Distraught enough and you tend to not think of things like that. It's because Naruto talks to the Hokage that he went into hiding and wasn't seen in class. Also, Mizuki is an idiot overall, in here and in canon. Ok, it's not so much a forest more as a park. The map of the village does not show every detail and there are a few contradicting elements of each map. I am taking liberties with the village layout. Also for Mizuki to just so happen to see Naruto there, that is more just plot convenience. Movies do it all the time. The shadow clone jutsu isn't forbidden because of how simple it is or useful, it is forbidden because of the chakra requirement. Naruto has an abundance of chakra that he is able to spam it to ridiculous levels. Why else would a jutsu that requires one hand sign and far more useful than the regular clone be put in the forbidden scroll? Also to clarify, Naruto didn't really learn the jutsu, he just saw it was one hand sign

Chapter 5: the light aftermath of betrayal

Naruto opened his eyes to see that he was no longer in his apartment. It was a dreary-looking hallway with one direction going into sheer darkness while the other way led into a moderately lit hall. He heard some growling coming from the darkness and looked towards it. He really didn't want to deal with anything else for the day after learning about why everyone hated him and the fact that everyone in the village knew about it and didn't tell him. But he wondered what else could go wrong and walked towards the growling. He didn't have to walk long since the darkness led him to a massive room that had what looked like a cell for something large. He walked closer to it, noting the seal tag on the cell doors but choosing to focus more on the prisoner inside. Once he was a few feet away he squinted his eyes to see if he could see the occupant. Not seeing anything he called out. "Hey, you in there?"

After Naruto's echo subsided, a massive roar could be heard and the wind became wild as it blew hard enough to cause Naruto to take a knee so he wouldn't be blown away.

As Naruto got back to his feet, he was too slow to avoid the massive furred hand that wrapped around his body, leaving only his shoulders and head free. He was then lifted into the air and brought into the shadows that parted as he got closer and he was now face to teeth with what he could see to be the nine-tailed fox

"YOU STUPID IDIOTIC NINGEN!"

The Scream was so loud and forceful that Naruto had to close his eyes as his head was pushed back. He tried to straighten his head but the Kyuubi wasn't done

"DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT YOU DID!? NO OF COURSE NOT BECAUSE YOU'RE TOO STUPID TO CATCH UP ON CONTEXT! I'M SO TEMPTED TO SEND YOU FLYING THROUGH THE MINDSCAPE BEFORE SLAMMING YOU INTO THE GROUND! MAYBE AFTER A BEATDOWN, YOU WILL FINALLY GAIN SOME BRAINS AND MAYBE AFTER I DO THAT I CAN GET THAT STUPID LOOKING ACCESSORY OFF YOUR HEAD!"

Naruto was finally able to open his eyes, with his hair stuck in a blown back position, and he blinked at the furious look of the Kyuubi. "Uh…."

"DON'T 'UH' ME! YOU SHOULD BE ON YOUR HANDS AND KNEES BEGGING FOR MY FORGIVENESS AND THANKING ME FOR WHAT THE HELL I HAVE BEEN DOING ALL THIS TIME!" the Kyuubi stopped and was now panting as he flared his nostrils as he tried to calm his fury.

Naruto waited a few seconds to see if the Kyuubi had anything else to say but after thirty seconds he quietly asked "can you put me down now?"

The Kyuubi glared at him and was tempted to squeeze the boy and treat him like a stress toy. But he opened his hand and let the boy drop.

Naruto may have landed on his feet but the shock at being yelled at by what was sealed inside him caused him to stumble before falling on his ass. He looked up to the glare of the Kyuubi "so…..you're the Kyuubi."

The Kyuubi scoffed "no, I'm the happy fairy that will grant your every wish. OF COURSE I'M THE KYUUBI!"

Naruto winced as he was not used to being yelled at by someone this powerful before. He rubbed his ears to get them to ease up in the ringing. "Ok…...so why are you so mad at me? What? You pissed off that you are sealed inside me or something?" Naruto gave a challenging smirk but it dropped with the Kyuubi's next words.

"I don't give a damn about being sealed into you."

Now the boy was confused "wha…..?"

"You think I don't understand why I was sealed inside you? I understood that the damn fourth had no other choice. Do I like the fact that I'm sealed inside you? No way in hell. But I am not going to be pissed off at you about that since you didn't have a choice in the matter, seeing as how you were what? A couple of hours old?" he then slammed his paw right next to Naruto, causing the boy to bounce in the air "but I can be pissed off at you for getting that stupid crown on your head!"

Naruto brought his hand up to the crown and looked at the fox with his own glare "Hey! I didn't ask for this to get stuck on my head! And what do you care?! This thing is stuck on my head! Not yours."

The Kyuubi snarled as he bared his fangs even more "I care because that stupid thing is affecting not only you but me as well! I've been using my power to keep it from going any further! Not only am I keeping the STUPID effect from doing anything to me but you too! You should be grateful I'm even doing that for you! If it was just me, I would have no problem keeping it from doing anything but it is working on both of us! It's why it is taking you so long in healing. Think, when was the last time it took you so long to wake up from being beaten up and tired?!"

Naruto understood now why he healed so fast from his injuries and why he barely ever got tired "wait...so you're the reason I heal fast?!"

Kyuubi rolled his eyes "of course I'm the reason. But now that I am focusing most of my power on the effect, your healing has slowed down considerably." he then sat down as his tails swayed behind him and he crossed his arms. "That stupid crown did have some benefits to you." he pointed to a corner of the room which Naruto looked at and saw what looked to be a solid iron sewer line with a blue glow to it and just next to it was a…..crystal clear glass one that had bright sparkling yellow energy swirling inside as it flowed through the pipe. "That yellow energy is a new form of power. It is much different from chakra and I have no clue what you can do with it but what I do know, is that it's because of that energy that you were able to throw that kunai like it was thrown with my chakra and then some" he sighed as he layed back down "you might have to go back and ask that princess you're smitten with about this power and what you can do with it."

Naruto turned red at the insinuation as he fervently denied it "WHAT?! No! nonononononononononono, I am not smitten with Princess Peach!"

The clearly visible smirk on the large fox was getting to Naruto "who said I was just talking about that one?"

Naruto now felt like his head was about to pop with how much blush he had. He pulled at his hair as he turned away to hide his face "shut up! I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT!"

The Kyuubi chuckled at this "I'm inside your head, kit. I know what goes on inside it." he enjoyed how Naruto was trying to hide his panic and blush. He felt that he should keep the fact that those two weren't the only ones he was smitten with since it seemed that he wasn't even aware that he was. The only reason that he brought up the two princesses was that they were the latest. But there was something else on his mind that he felt could be beneficial to the kid. "kit."

"There is no way this big fuzzball is right."

"Kit?"

"He's just being an annoying pest that's all. What could he know? He's just a dumb animal."

A tick mark could be seen on Kyuubi's head as he watched the kid walking back and forth on a tangent. He tried to keep his patience as he called out again. "Kit!"

"And there is no way I could like them. I mean I only met them and there is no way I could like them that fast. Yeah…..it's just the stupid Kyuubi talk stupid stuff that goes on through that stupid head of his.."

Patience lost. "LISTEN TO ME WHEN I'M TALKING TO YOU!"

The shout sent Naruto flying until he hit the bars upside down. He slid down to the ground until his head was tilted on the ground and his feet dropped in front of him. He blinked as the ringing in his ears lessened and he looked down (up) at the fuming Kyuubi. "...what?"

Kyuubi was so tempted to hurt the boy in front of him and he had the chance since Naruto was on his side of the bars. But he withheld himself from doing so since he still wanted to explain something to the kid, who needed to be alive in order to hear him. "There is something else that you need to know." he saw he had the kid's attention and continued "I have seen your life since I have been with you for all of it. I know you have an attachment to Konoha but I ask you, now that you have a chance at having a better life, why not take it?"

Naruto was still on his head as he heard this. His eyes began to shift to anything other than Kyuubi's face. He thought about what the fox said and could see the truth in them.

Yes, he had an attachment to the village but in the very small amount of time he had spent in the mushroom kingdom, he had found more enjoyment there than here. He could very well pack up and leave and if he was getting this right, based on what the princess said he wouldn't have to worry about anyone following him. It was only thanks to the crown that he was able to go back and forth between Konoha and the mushroom kingdom.

He shifted so he could be in a sitting position and looked down at the ground "I could…" he brought his hand up to the crown and ran his finger on the cushion on it. "I could just…...leave. Say goodbye to all the people here and make a new life in the mushroom kingdom."

The Kyuubi eyed the boy as he listened to him. He was glad the kid was now aware that he had an escape but he could tell there was a "but" coming up so he let the kid speak

"...but…..I still have things here that I don't want to leave. They may be small things but I don't want to leave them behind. Even if I could come back …..it would cause problems for me." he thought about the issues that his leaving would cause. With how the Hokage acted when he was gone for only a few days, if he left for a long time, he might not be able to leave ever again. He might be guarded every minute of his life. He just didn't know how he should see the Hokage now.

The old man always seemed like he would be there to look out for him but what if it was just because he held the Kyuubi.

Nauto figured that he would just…..wait and see if he could trust the Hokage. Trust was something he rarely gave but that could be because of how he had been treated

Kyuubi could see that the boy still had a strong enough attachment so that he wouldn't just up and leave. For a second, he felt like he should yell at the kid for being an idiot for not finding a better living but he knew more than even Naruto himself, that the boy was fragile. His split psyche could attest to that. Naruto may get frustrated but anger was something that Naruto subconsciously suppressed. So much so that it has made a dark version of Naruto deep inside his subconscious. It was so deep that Naruto could live his whole life not knowing. In fact, he figured that it was one of the reasons that the mushroom people thought he had a pure heart. It might be that instead of being pure of heart, it might be more of the lack of negativity in said person's heart. With Naruto separating the negativity, it might have tricked the crown to latching onto him since Naruto is in that sense pure

Something interesting had happened though to this "Dark Naruto". The crown had chiseled away at this darkness. Not enough to get rid of it but it had taken a good chunk of it away. The issue was that as long as he stayed in this village, that darkness could regrow.

Kyuubi sighed at this "fine. I just wanted to make sure that you are aware of your options."

Naruto nodded at the large fox. He then got up and smiled at the fox "thanks….for healing me all this time and….letting me know what I could do, Kyuubi."

"...Kurama."

Naruto looked confused at what was just said but the Kyuubi elaborated

"My name is Kurama. As I've said before, I don't blame you for this situation I'm in so I don't see any harm in you calling me by my name. But you better not tell anyone else. I have not given my name to anyone else but you so you better not break that trust." he didn't fully know why he gave his name to Naruto but he figured that it was because he liked the kid. He has spirit despite the fragility of that spirit

Naruto smiled at this. "Sure. I promise not to let anyone else know." he got up and was about to walk away but he remembered something that was said earlier. "hey, hold on. What was that thing you said you were stopping from happening?"

Kurama smirked as he thought this was going to be amusing. He lowered himself to be closer to Naruto "for now, I will keep it to myself. Unlike the other secrets that have been kept from you, this one will reveal itself eventually and when it does I might be able to do something about it."

Naruto glared at the fox and hopped up to the top of his nose. "hey! Why the hell won't you tell me?!"

Kurama smirked at the boy "because as the people of the village say, I'm evil." With that piece said, Kurama used his power to send Naruto out of the mindscape but not before giving a warning. "And try not to use chakra so much. It will cause it to come faster….."

~Naruto's apartment~

Naruto shot his eyes open to see that he was back in his room. He looked to his clock to see that not even a minute has gone by since he dropped on his bed with the baby Yoshis all around him. He would have shot up from this but there was the blue Yoshi baby on his chest that had tucked its legs in as if it was a chicken on a roost. He couldn't believe that only a minute had passed since he started the conversation with Kurama but the tears he had shed when he tried to get to sleep were still there. It was then that his previous emotions of betrayal and sadness had hit him once again.

He sighed as he laid his head back on the pillow "...a chance at a better life in the Mushroom kingdom…...maybe I should…...one day." he closed his eyes trying to get the feeling of betrayal out of his heart. He closed his eyes as he thought 'wonder what it would be like?"

~hours later~

"You got nothing you useless sacks of shit!"

*wham*

Mizuki spat out a glob of blood as he was hit in the head by one of Ibiki's men. He lifted his head as he glared up at the members of the T&I department. He dangled in his spot as he had shackles on his wrists that were chained to the ceiling and another around his neck that was chained to the ground. His ankles were held to the ground by restraints so the only thing he could do was stay on his knees as his upper body dangled from the ones on his wrist. He couldn't use any chakra since each of the restraints had seals on them that sealed it away

*SLAM*

The next hit to the face had knocked out five of his teeth that clattered on the ground

"Five teeth huh, either you have gotten stronger or this weak little bitch is as tough as he thinks."

The man then moved to the side to reveal a smirking Anko Mitarashi as she chewed on a dango stick. "For someone that talks a lot of shit, you don't have the strength to handle it."

Mizuki pulled his head back, ready to spit at the woman but Anko flicked the stick in her hand at him, hitting his chest. This caused him to freeze and give a silent scream of pain

The interrogators chose to ignore hitting in the chest since from what they gathered, Naruto had hit him so hard that all of his ribs had shattered. His internal organs were not spared either. Most of them were barely functional after that punch had caused massive bruising and shredding. It was a miracle that the man had even survived the hit, let alone the trip to the interrogation room. The reason that he wasn't constantly in pain was that they had pumped him so full of drugs that he should be numb to damn near anything. One of the medics had even told the rest of the department that the man wouldn't even last five hours and the man's time was running out. They had already gotten everything from the man's mind thanks to Inoichi Yamanaka, who had entered the unconscious man's mind and learned everything

His killing of comrades on missions, selling secrets to bandits that were on the road so that he could get some of the profit off the merchants, and his plan to take the forbidden scroll and join one of the village's biggest traitors, Orochimaru.

That led to his clear sabotage and attempted murder of Naruto Uzumaki.

Mizuki had been placing small genjutsus on every one of the tests that he gave the boy, knowing that the boy could not tell there was one. He had given poor instruction and taught him bad form, sending older kids to attack him as a way of getting extra credit and all the while acting as if he was a friend ready to help.

An investigation team had been sent to the very spot that was where the pipe as that Mizuki used to try and kill Naruto but there was no sign of it ever being there. It was just a small clearing with clean green grass.

Then there was him revealing one of the biggest secrets the village had tried to keep and get Naruto in trouble by using him as a scapegoat

Anko for one didn't like the fact that the kid was kept in the dark for his burden. She was ostracized by the villagers as well but at least she knew why they hated her. Sure it didn't make things easier but it helped her understand why but the kid was kept in the dark for all his life and she felt that it would be worse if you didn't know why.

Anko smirked at the man kneeling in front of her as she had timed this right. The drugs were wearing off so he was starting to feel the pain. Heck, she would bet that just breathing would be agonizing for the man. "To correct what you said earlier, we have everything we need to end you. Inoichi went into your mind while you were knocked out and we learned every dirty little secret you had in that messed up head of yours. Including you revealing an S-rank secret, one that is punishable by death." Anko looked at the man and saw that he wasn't even responding. "Wonder if the pain has numbed you to the world around you. Oh well, doesn't matter if you get the fact that you will die. It's still coming no matter what you try, if you can even try anything at all." Anko was now mocking the man as she wanted to rub salt on all the wounds the man had, even if he couldn't hear them. It was then she snapped her fingers as she remembered something "oh, I almost forgot." she pressed a button on her collar and spoke "send him in." After a minute, there was a knock on the door causing the woman to walk over to it. She looked back at the man and smirked "you have a visitor." She opened the door to show Iruka walking in. she motioned for one of the other interrogators to pull out a chair and placed it in front of Mizuki. Anko looked at Iruka and spoke. "you don't have much time. I would make it quick and short." she motioned for everyone to vacate the room, leaving Iruka and Mizuki in the room alone

Iruka sat in the chair left for him as he looked at the now dangling man. He took a deep breath before he clasped his hands together and leaned on his knees. "I guess I should feel bad about losing a friend but ….with what I learned, I guess we never were."

"..."

"With everything that we learned, we will have to shut the class down for screening. Kids will probably love that since it's a vacation from class."

"..."

"During that time, I will be going over all the tests that were given to Naruto and see if I can distinguish his actual level of knowledge. If every test he had taken was altered so that he would fail, then how many other of his classes had done the same. There are still some things that are being put into the mind dive report so I don't know if you had anything to do with it but now we know something is up. Naruto will be given a fair chance as everyone else."

Mizuki twitched at the saying of Naruto's name

"I guess I'm at fault too for not realizing something was going on sooner. I still need to talk to Naruto since there seems to be something bugging him and as his teacher, I will do my job right." he got up from his seat and looked down at the man "I would end this with a goodbye but I would only do that to my friend. Guess I don't have to do it then since with how you saw things, we were never friends." he turned to leave but paused at the door. Without turning around he said "I'm going to make sure that your plan to sabotage Naruto fails." and with that, he left the room leaving a man that grit his teeth in pain and anger but was unable to speak as the pain was too immense.

Mizuki felt his anger rise causing his pain to increase 'that little shit deserves to be dead! He's the Kyuubi! Why the fuck does these people let that monster LIVE!? HE SHOULD BE STRUNG UP FROM HIS NECK AND KILLED! IF IT WERE ME, I WOULD DO THE JOB MYSELF! THESE WEAK ASS KONOHA SHINOBI DON'T KNOW THE MEANING OF WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE! THey….they….'

~morning~

*nomnomnomnomnomnomnomnomnomnom*

Naruto woke up to the feeling of several slimy things impacting his face "Argh!" his eyes shot open before he wiped his face off with his hands. He looked down to his stomach to see that every single Yoshi baby was looking at him. He blinked a couple of times as they did the same as him. "Uh…."

*naaaaaaaahhhh*

Naruto watched as they all opened their mouths making this noise. It didn't take him long to realize that they were all hungry and he needed to feed them. He sighed as he wrapped his arms around them to pick them up and move to head to the kitchen. He had to stop at the door since his arms were full. He tried using his foot to turn the doorknob but he was having trouble keeping his balance.

*nom* he stopped as one of them used their tongue on the door nob and opened the door. He looked down and saw that it was the red one that did it. He smiled at them as he moved out the door "smart little guy." He made it to the kitchen and placed them on the table and was about to get them something to eat until he realized he had no clue what to give them. "Great. What do Yoshi's eat?" he went into the kitchen leaving the babies on the table as they stared at him. He looked at them before he opened the fridge and looked at what was inside. There wasn't much in terms of things he liked. There were fruits and vegetables, some sandwiches that he hadn't had the chance to eat. He figured he should try and find out what they like and grabbed the fruit and vegetables and sandwiches. He then moved over to the cabinet to see what was there. Much to his luck, there was a large packet of riceballs that he had bought some time ago.

*RATTLE*

Naruto pulled away from the cabinet to look at the babies and saw that they were all still at the table. He eyed them to see if they had done anything but when he saw nothing, he shrugged and was about to continue looking but he noticed something. On his table was a bowl of fruit that he usually put there to at least make the apartment look nicer. Issue was that it was gone. Bowl and all. He bent down, making sure he didn't drop the food and looked under the table to see if it was dropped to the ground. Not seeing it, he stood up and tilted his head. "Where did it…"

*borw*

Naruto witnessed the yellow Yoshi spit out the very bowl that was meant for his table. He gawked at the bowl as he couldn't believe that it came out of the baby, especially since the babies were only just smaller than the bowl itself. For a second he figured that the Yoshi had eaten the whole bowl of fruit but

*borwborwborw*

The light blue, orange, and red Yoshi spat out banana peels, pineapple leaves, and apple core.

Naruto stared at what was spat out and sweatdropped. "Guess they all ate the fruit."

*nomnomnom*

Then the ones that spat out the fruit pieces shot out their tongues to eat what they spat out sans the bowl.

"Uh….guess they eat fruit." he put the vegetables down as he wasn't sure if the rice balls were still edible to them. As he walked towards them, they all shot their tongues out and grabbed one fruit each before they pulled them back into their mouths. He watched how the food seemed to just disappear inside them before they all squealed happily at what they had just eaten. Guess I have a reason to buy fruits now."

After Naruto had gotten his own breakfast of milk and toast, he grabbed the egg bowl and moved to the babies that all jumped into the bowl for him to carry them. He moved to his front door and paused as he remembered what he learned yesterday. He sighed saddle as he looked down but not looking at the Yoshi babies but rather through them. 'All the hatred they have for me is just cause I hold the kyu….kurama. *sigh* I don't want to go but I don't know what else to do…..' he stood there for a few minutes without moving until he felt something nuzzling his face. It was then he saw that the baby Yoshis had climbed on top of each other so the orange Yoshi could nuzzle his face. He saw the sad look that they all had and felt guilty that his sadness was making them sad. He smiled at them in gratitude. "Thank you." he would have pet them but since his arms were holding the bowl he instead kissed the orange Yoshi's nose. "Thank you all." he looked at the door with the black Yoshi using his tongue to open it. "You guys…."

*chirp!*

"And girls heheh are the best." he left his apartment to head to the academy by using the alleyways to stay hidden from the public eye

~academy~

"Aw, they're so cute!" Ino picked up the purple Yoshi and nuzzled it on her face "Naruto, can I have this one!?"

Sakura, who was petting the pink one, perked up at this as she looked at Naruto. "hey yeah! Can I have this one!?"

Hinata stopped playing banzai with the violet one (moving its arms up and down) and looked to Naruto expectantly, almost pleading with her eyes

Naruto deadpanned at the girls as the boys chuckled at this despite the fact that they each were doing their own thing with a baby Yoshi

Kiba was watching Akamaru sniff the red Yoshi who was sniffing back at the pup

Sasuke was having a staring contest with the black one

Shino was examining a forest green one

Choji was keeping his bag of chips away from a golden yellow one

Shikamaru was in a seat trying to nap as the baby blue Yoshi looked at his sleeping head and looking at his head hungrily

Naruto sighed as he looked down at the few that were napping on each other. He could tell that his friends seemed to be getting attached but….he couldn't let them go. Not only that, these babies were given to him in good faith so he can't. "Sorry girls but I don't think I can."

As if sensing the dropping mood of Naruto, all the Yoshis turned away from the one they were with and hopped over to Naruto and piled on him. He laughed as they began to lick his face though the ones that were sleeping grumbled as they did not like the fact that they woke up

The girls giggled at this while the boys laughed

The other kids were watching the group of clan heirs as they wanted to go look at the cute babies but they were close to Naruto, which kept them away. They were told that Naruto was nothing but a useless orphan that would drag them down into the dirt. Several of their parents even said that if they ever got near the boy, they would be severely punished. Then there were the kids that hated him because they were told to

It was then the classroom door opened to show Iruka walking through. Everyone moved to their sweats so they could start the lesson

Iruka walked until he stood in front of his desk "ok everyone. Normally I would tell you all that we will be starting the usual lessons and prep for your graduation. However, recent events…" he looked over to Naruto and met his gaze but Naruto just turned his head away to look out the window. Iruka internally sighed as he figured that something like this could happen. Naruto had just found out about being the container of the Kyuubi and with how the boy acted when he ran into him on the street the previous night and how he reacted just now, it only made sense that Naruto felt betrayed. "...have caused us to have to delay the graduation test." he heard the kids groan and complain about this but he figured they wouldn't be happy about it. "ENOUGH!" thanks to his big head jutsu, they all became quiet so he could continue "I know you are all upset but new information that was brought to light has caused several things to be brought to question. The higher-ups want to look into these things and make sure that things are done fairly this time." his eyes shifted to Naruto who was still looking outside. He looked indifferent to this news which was odd since he knew that Naruto was smart enough to understand the subtext to his message. His eyes still on Naruto, Iruka finished up. "And because of this, the academy will be closed for an unknown amount of time, but don't worry, when we finish, we will allow you all to take the test. Just make sure that you at least practice the three jutsu you have been informed about."

Everyone responded with a "HAI." everyone but Naruto

Naruto did understand the hidden message that was spoken. After Mizuki's attempt to kill him, he guessed that Mizuki was doing something that would hinder him. heck, he wouldn't be surprised if the other teachers did the same thing. He guessed that Mizuki was caught or something and he blabbed about it. And although Iruka said that they would be looking into it, he actually expected to see if Mizuki did it to other students while ignoring his potentially sabotaged scores. He then thought about the three academy jutsu that he needed to know. The Kawarimi, henge, and the clone jutsu. He could do two of the three. Not once could he do the clone jutsu and he had spent hours trying. He sighed at this as he was thinking about whether or not he should even bother practicing anymore. He was brought out of his thoughts when he heard Iruka say one last thing

"So with that said, you are all excused. We will send someone to inform you about your return to the academy. At a minimum, two weeks since we will be going through much of the material so enjoy your impromptu vacation. Dismissed"

Everyone got up and grabbed their things and began to leave the classroom.

Naruto grabbed the egg bowl with all the Yoshis jumping in. He was the last one out as he was in the back. And was making his way to the door. As he was about to leave Iruka called out

"Naruto, hold on one second."

Naruto stopped at the door but did not turn back to look at the man

Iruka stood up from leaning on the desk and looked at the boy's back "Naruto…...are you ok?"

Naruto didn't turn to face the man and was glad that his hood covered his head as his slight lowered of his head was covered up by it. For a good minute, he stood there not saying a word as he thought of what to say to the man. Then he slightly turned his head, not much to actually look behind him but enough to show he heard "you knew, didn't you?"

Iruka was a little hurt by how emotionless the boy's voice sounded. He lowered his head in shame as this confirmed what he was told. Naruto knew

Naruto sighed before he began to walk again. "So you did…." he just walked out of the room not in the mood to continue to talk to Iruka.

Iruka could do nothing but let the boy leave.

Naruto left the academy on his way to the apartment as he thought about what he could do on this vacation. 'What can I do since I don't have to go to the academy?' for a minute he thought about what he could do in the village and realized that there wasn't much but then it hit him

Or rather some one hit him.

Naruto felt something hard hit him on the back of the head. It wasn't strong enough to make him fall over but it did sting. He turned to give a teary glare at the one who did it only to pale at the sight of a very angry Tenten who was standing over him with fire in her eyes

"Naruto….where the hell have you been!?"

Naruto gulped as he did not know how to handle a very angry girl "uh…"

Tenten's glare seemed to intensify at this as she was now towering over him "don't 'uh' me! Do you have any idea how worried I was?! A few of your classmates had been looking for you and when they said they couldn't find you, I went looking but when Ayame told me that she hadn't seen you I thought something had happened to you!"

Naruto felt very small from the weapon user's glare. He was now sweating bullets as he was afraid of what she might do, until tenten hugged him, causing him to old the bowl of Yoshis with one hand in the air

Tenten hugged her friend as she was worried that something terrible had happened to him. She knew that the villagers hated him but she had no idea why. She was afraid that someone had done something to him since the last time and although she knew that Naruto was a shinobi in training, she also knew he wasn't the best. "I'm glad you're ok."

Naruto was a little stunned at this before he brought his free hand to rub her back. "I'm sorry I worried you, Tenten."

Tenten let him go and smirked at him "you better be." she then saw the thing that was in his hand and all the eyes that were looking at her "uh Naruto...what are those?"

Naruto brought the Yoshis down into his arms as he looked down at them "they are baby Yoshis. I was given an egg that they all came out of and now they live with me."

Tenten lowered herself so she could look at them. She smiled as she saw them "aw they're cute." she pet one on the head as it gave a happy chirp. She then stood up and put her hand on her hip "so what are you doing out here right now? Shouldn't you be in class right now?"

Naruto sighed as he told her about how class had been postponed for the time being. It was then he realized something. "Hey, Tenten, how did you know it was me? A lot of people don't realize who I am with my new clothes.

Tenten deadpanned at him as she grabbed his jacket and lifted it a bit "you are the only one I know that would wear so much of this kind of orange." she let go of the jacket and crossed her arms "so, what do you plan to do with your free time now?"

Naruto shrugged as he was in the middle of trying to figure that out. It was then that what she said caused his mind to come up with something. 'Wearing this much of a color….." he then looked at Tenten's shirt, or rather the color. He kept staring at it not realizing that he was staring at her breasts.

*SLAP*

Naruto fell on his ass as he felt his head sting. He looked up to see that Tenten had taken out a paper fan and used it to slap him over the head

"What the hell do you think you were looking at?" woman's fury is a scary thing

Naruto realized what he had been looking at and quickly shook his head "nonononononononono! I wasn't looking at them! I mean I was but- NO! I wasn't! I was looking at the color, I swear!"

Tenten ran her hand over the paper fan as if it was a sword and glared at him. "And why were you looking? Huh!?"

Naruto gulped as he answered, "I was thinking of a friend I made that wears pink and I thought it would be nice to visit her since I don't know what else to do!"

Tenten quirked an eyebrow at this. She shouldered the fan, since it was as long as an actual katana, and asked. "You made a new friend? Who?" she asked in curiosity since she knew that Naruto tends to tell his other friends about any new friend he makes but this was the first she heard of it."

Naruto got to his feet and spoke "I met this new friend while I was away. In fact, I was with her all this time."

Tenten gained a teasing smile as she looked at him "a 'her' huh? And you were with her all this time."

Naruto could see where her thoughts were going and he dropped his face into the bundle of Yoshies as a way to hid his face with all of the Yoshis nuzzling his hair. "It's not like that. Tenten."

Tenten smiled as she teasingly said "suuuuuure it isn't." she put away the fan before she smiled at the cute sight of the odd animals nuzzling his head "so…..when do I get to meet her?"

Naruto's head jolted up with two Yoshi's on his head "what?"

Tenten rolled her eyes at this "come on, Naruto. You made a new friend and I wanna meet her. Is that so hard?"

Naruto's eyes shifted everywhere but at Tenten and couldn't help but think 'I never thought about bringing anyone with me when I go. I don't know if I'm allowed.' he looked to Tenten and continued 'but Tenten is one of my oldest friends. Maybe I could…' he shook his head before answering the girl "I don't know if I'm allowed to but I might ask next time I see her. She might let me meet her."

Tenten nodded as she poked him on the nose "you better, Naruto." Tenten then pulled out a watch to look at the time "Well I got a meeting to get to so I'll see you later, ok?"

Naruto nodded as he smiled at Tenten "sure, and I promise not to disappear this time."

"You better." with that she began making her way towards her team's training field "later!"

Naruto waved at her as she thought about it. Taking my friend with me to the mushroom kingdom….? Maybe?"

~Apartment~

Naruto had made it to his apartment and closed all the curtains and locked all the windows and doors as he stood in his bedroom. He had the Yoshis in his arms as he took a deep breath. Using one hand, he lowered his hood, showing the crown and hope. "All I need to do is wish it and a pipe should appear no matter where I am. That's what Peach said, so here we go." he closed his eyes and began to wish 'I want to go to the Mushroom kingdom.' After a few seconds, he opened his eyes to the sight of nothing happening. For a second he thought it didn't work until the floor in front of him, a green pipe sprouted upwards until it was slightly taller than him. He was wide-eyed at the sight before a big smile came to his face "IT WORKED!" he jumped around the room in joy as the Yoshis looked up at him and began to chirp happily with him. After a minute he stopped his joyful bouncing before he looked up at the edge of the pipe and jumped right in.

Once the boy was inside the pipe lowered leaving no sign of it being there

~Mushroom Kingdom~

Naruto hopped out of the pipe and landed on the ground, making sure not to tumble or drop the Yoshis. He looked up to see that he wasn't in the Super crown chamber, he was in the guest room that he had spent his unconscious time in. At first, he was confused about why it would end up here but he shrugged as he was just happy to be back. He left the room and made his way through the castle towards the audience chamber to see if he could find the princess. Something that grabbed his attention was that there was no one here. No toads could be seen anywhere in the hallways or rooms and it was starting to concern him. When he got to the audience chamber and saw that the Princess or Toadsworth weren't there, he ran to the window to see if the town was being attacked again. But instead of an attack, he saw that a lot of toads were scrambling around the town. He figured that the princess might be down there so he chose to go into town to see what was going on

~town~

Naruto was closing in on the town and saw them all rearranging things. He twisted, turned, and hopped over toads as they were running around with cheers and smiles. He was glad to see that there was no trouble but he couldn't see the one he was looking for.

"Naruto!"

Naruto turned to see Princess Peach making her way towards him. He smiled at her as she grew closer "Princess Peach!"

The princess made her way to him before she wrapped her arms around him and brought him into a hug. "I'm happy to see you again."

Naruto blushed as his face was pressed onto her breasts. He had to hold the Yoshis to the side with one hand as he was bright into the hug. He could not help but notice how soft her breasts felt and how….nice it was to be hugged by her (not in a perverted way). He looked up and smiled "it's only been a couple of days Peach."

Peach smiled at him before placing a gentle kiss on his forehead "and I am still happy to see you." she let him go and took a few steps back "welcome back to the mushroom kingdom, Naruto." she then looked at the baby Yoshis in his grasp "and I see that they have hatched already."

Naruto was blushing up a storm at the Princess's action but he shook his head to get back into the conversation. "Yeah. hatched only a day after it was given to me. I'm glad they did too." he looked at the happy babies in his grasp before looking around him at all the hustle and bustle of the town. "So why is everyone running around? Something happening?"

Peach smiled as she nodded "yes, Naruto. They are all getting things ready." she walked forward past NAruto who was looking at her curiously

"What are they getting ready for?"

Peach turned around to smile at Naruto "go-kart racing."

I know Kurama keeping the secret is kind of hypocritical but I want to keep Naruto in the dark of it as I have plans for it.

As shown in this chapter, yes the crown is affecting him but he is holding it back and says that if he was just focused on himself it wouldn't be a problem but he is doing it for Naruto too. So in essence it is saying that Kurama will NOT turn but there is a reason I added that it

Hope you were ok with what happened to Mizuki.

I'm using the sunshine game as knowledge for what Yoshis eat. They eat fruit and snacks. I doubt they are meat eaters

I had the Yoshis interact with the rookies more for more Yoshi action not pairing a Yoshi with them really. I don't think they need one

Should Naruto bring someone with him to the Mushroom kingdom? I plan on bringing specific characters later on but wanna know if I should bring these specific characters with him for this
