As Kagome entered her home she put her keys down in the bowl, then headed to the fridge to put her pizza away. She paused thinking. 'Nope I'm going to hide this' she grinned. "Sota will never look behind here," she hummed as she moved some vegetables on top of the pizza box. She grabbed a glass of water and headed upstairs to her room.

"Hey grandpa!" she said on her way up. He nodded at her with a smile.

She set the glass down on her desk, then dropped her backpack.

"Uhh," she let out as her face hit her pink soft pillow. "What a dayyyy." Her voice muffled. She laid there for a while. Playing the events of the day in her head.

'Let's see... We had class as normal, I've turned In all my extra credit and that one missing assignment... I better not let that happen again. I also need to work on Mr.Myoga's slide project that's due in four weeks. Oh, Miss Kaede cursed at Inuyasha... Hmm, Inuysh-Ah! Miss Kaede work'. Kagome jolted up. "Her project! I still don't know what I'm going to write about!"

Just then a knock came from her door. Making her focus all her attention on it. "Come in."

"Hello dear," her mom came in with a basket of her laundry.

"Hey Mom" she smiled while getting up, "how was your day?"

"Wonderful and exhausting" she laughed.

"Oh yeah, how come?" Kagome pulled out her chair from the desk and patted it for her mom to have a seat.

"Well," she began as she sat down. "I had to take grandpa to the doctors today, and even though we scheduled an appointment two weeks ago. At seven-thirty in the morning we had to wait an extra two hours just for them to say, the doctor had to leave early -- to start his vacation," her mom groaned. Which caused Kagome to laugh while she shook her head. "And that was just the start of the day, after that we came back home and I forgot I was supposed to bring cupcakes for Sota's class party, so we went to the grocery store, and while shopping there we ran into my friends remember them? Asami and Ena."

"Yeah, I believe they came to grandpas birthday last year." Kagome wondered, hoping she was thinking of the right ladies. "It's been a while since I've seen them."

"Hmm, yes just like me. They're very busy." Her mom hummed. Kagome for a second thought she saw a hint of sadness in her mom's usually cheerful and bright face. "Well at least they're going to have a great week, they won a spa getaway on the radio. Three tickets, they offered me to go with them but I declined, then after I got the cupcakes and groceries. Grandpa and I head to Sota's school, with the homemade cupcakes." Kagome and her mom shared another laugh. "And finally, came home cleaned up a bit. Started dinner and did the laundry."

"Thank you, Mom." she hugged her tightly.

"You're welcome dear, are you okay?"

"I'm fine mom, but I think you should give your friends a call and go with them this week," Kagome stood up. "I'm seventeen years old I can handle the house! As well as grandpa and Sota!"

"I'm sure you can Kagome, but are you sure?" She got up.

"Very" Kagome nodded.

"Daughter!" A voice called her mom.

"Okay I will, Thank you Kagome." they hugged each other once again.

"Daughter!"

"Mommm! Grandpa wants you!" Sota yelled from his room.

"I'll go check on your grandfather, I'm sure you've also had a long day take a bath sweetie, and relax, I'll write some instructions for you tomorrow."

"Okay mom, have a goodnight." She waved.

"You too" she closed her door.

"Mom!" Kagome yelled.

"yes?" she came back.

"I love you mom" Kagome smiled.

"I love you, too" She closed the door once again.

A/N: A little chapter for some mother appreciation also since it's almost Mother's Day I said why not, but even if you don't have a special person with you, I hope you all have a great day.
