Chapter 6:Coming Together Grieve and Confronting The Past

"Okay it's official Uncle Edward is more of an egotistical misogynistic asshole than my father and I didn't think that was possible. Back in the Silver Millennium he teamed up with Queen Beryl and Queen Metalia which ultimately caused all of us to die. Then if that wasn't enough he tried to kill two innocent children. Just because he couldn't stand that Aunt Marisa did the same thing he did and he didn't get what he wanted, " Rei hissed angrily

"Are you really surprised? I mean you met Father, he was a spoiled bastard that only cared about what he wanted. To him nothing else mattered even the lives of two children," Robin spat.

"That's true but why'd he get so upset about Aunt Marisa cheating? Afterall he cheated first, why not just get a divorce. I mean that was why Grandpa Charles and Grandma Isabella had a problem right" Mina inquired

"Yes but status and reputation. The same reason his parents forced us back together in the first place. If one of us had filed for divorce than then the fact that we both had affairs would become openly acknowledged. Even though almost everyone knew anyway, it still would have hurt or even destroyed his political career. Especially considering his campaign was based on family values. It is not right or fair to anyone but hindsight is 20/20," Marisa said warily acknowledging her mistakes.

"But why was Lex raised with our grandparents while the rest of us were raised here at Jordan College," Anna asked?

"Lex was born with a hole in her heart. As a result she needed surgeries and special care. By the time she did not need them anymore we decided it was best not to cause anymore upheaval in your life," Elizabeth answered.

"Ok now that that's taken care of. Why did they decide to attack now it has been very peaceful," asked Ami?

"Actually Ami it has not been peaceful there has not been any attacks that looked like anything but typical murder, Kidnapping ECT. Therefore we felt like we should not get involved and cause people to panic because they think the police can't handle it. Plus they have been planning the best way to lure us out," Trista told her.

"Ya and they found it," Robin said.

"Are you suggesting that the enemy killed Elizabeth and Isabella to lure us out," Ami asked?

"No that is exactly what I am saying," Robin replied.

"Then there is a good chance that they will attack at the funeral. We need to be on our guard," Mina told them.

"Oh that reminds me! We are leaving for Sussex in the morning. Have fun packing," Serenity said as she was walking out the door with Marisa.

"Please tell me she did not just say that," Serena whinnied.

"Sorry Sere, she did say that," said Lita.

"But I HATE packing," Serena cried!

"The sooner you stop whining and start packing the sooner we can sneak off and have fun," said Rei. Later that night after seeing Lyra and Lex off to bed, the others started off to the local club.

"We are going to be in so much trouble," Ami said.

"Ami quit being such a worrywart. Relax and enjoy the clam. I have a feeling this is our last chance for a while ," Robin told her.

"Ya Relax Ami," the others replied.

"Alright I surrender I'm out numbered," said Ami.

"Yes onward to a night of remembering our grandparents ," Mina said.

Upon reaching the bar of the club, Serena, Mina, Lita, Ami, and Rei were surprised to see their boyfriends.

"Darien, Malachite, Neflite, Zoicite, and Jedite, what are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be training?" they asked.

"We are taking a break for a few days and decided to surprise you guys because we missed you," Malachite answered.

"That is sweet, we missed you too," said Mina.

"Since you guys have been out of the news loop you don't know what's happened right," Serena asked.

"Right what has happened?" asked Neflite.

"A lot, let's get sodas and sit down then we will get you caught up," Serena.

Once they were all sitting down in a darkened corner of the upper level of the club Serena turned to Robin and asked, "Do you want to start?"

"Sure," and she proceeded to catch the guys of the craziness of the last few weeks.

"First things first are all of you ok and is there anything we can do?" the guys asked.

"Yes we are all fine and yes help us defeat the bastards that killed Isabella and Elizabeth," answered Robin.

"Without you even asking," said the guys. As they sat sipping their drinks as they shared stories of times spent with their grandparents. As this was the first time they had all been together since the day Charles and George had been put to rest. Robin looked at the Mina with a sad smile on her face and asked "Do you all remember the first time Grandmas and Grandpas brought us to Japan after you, Aunty and Uncle moved back?'"

"Yes I gathered Serena, Ami, Lita, and Rei at Crown. I was excited for my friends to meet my cousins. You went right up to Rei and threw your arms around her. It surprised the hell out of me that she allowed you to do it. Then Ari and Anna run up to Serena at full speed, sending all three of them sprawling on the ground in the center of the arcade," she replied.

"While Lyra and Lex looked at us like we had lost our minds. They were only three at the time and didn't remember meeting Serena and Rei. The grandparents just stood there and laughed their asses off at the looks on everyone's faces. Then they proceeded to buy everyone lunch and Ice Cream."

"That was the last time that Mina and I saw our grandfathers alive." Rei said sadly

"Yeah they started showing signs of sickness a few days after we returned to England." Robin said. After a while most of the girls paired off with their significant other to hit the dance floor. While the others were dancing. Robin, Trista and Hotaru sat talking. "I wish it was peaceful like this all the time," Robin said with a sigh.

"Me too, they look so happy and carefree," said Hotaru.

"Yes they do," Trista agreed.

"Do you think they have strength and the will power to fight and injure people who were their friends," asked Hotaru?

"I hope so," Robin answered.

"I'm sure they will," said Trista

"I'm tired of worrying about the enemy. It is our last night of freedom before we have to start training again. Let's dance or order more sodas, relax and enjoy it," Robin said.

"Yes," agreed Trista and Hotaru. After dancing for a while the girls went to Robin and the inner scouts walked down stairs through the dimly lit club to the bar to get another round of soda. Upon reaching the bar the girls ordered their drinks then as the DJ changed the song Demi Lovato's Warrior started to play. (A/N this song has significance to the girl as most of them faced bullying at some point in their life.)

As the last note rang out through the club the hair on the back of Robin's neck stood up. Her blood started to race looking around as unease filled her. Robin felt her stomach drop as her eyes locked on the last person in the world she wanted to see. Despite her assurances to the other girls the night before there were still nights she woke up screaming in terror from nightmares of what he did to her. However, she refused to let him have power over her so instead of running away she stood her ground as he approached.

"Hello Robin I came to offer my condolences for your loss and see if you got my note."

"Hello Alan, thank you and see I did get your note. Really sending threatening notes that didn't work before and it won't work now. So you can leave now," She said coldly.

"Aw don't be like that Princess I'm just trying to help. After all, I would hate history to repeat itself as a tragedy following a tragedy."

"Listen here your threats did not stop me three years ago and they certainly will not stop me now. I am not the traumatized little girl that you viciously beat until I was in a coma. When I tried to break up with you for abusing me. I am not scared of you. I am a strong beautiful young woman with a family and a girlfriend who love and support me. Say what you want to me. I can handle it. But if you think that you can come here and threaten my family you have another thing coming because I will unleash a whole other level of crazy to protect my family. Lay a hand on anyone one I love and you will wish you killed me." she answered before proceeding to knock him over and slam her heel into his crotch calling him an asshole. She rejoined her friends to enjoy the rest of her night. Before heading back to Jordan feeling more confident than she had in three years.
