Spectacular Spider-Man: Honor Among Thieves

Chapter 4; Geography 101, Carnage

4th chapter! Nothing really to talk about, except for the Venom: Let there be Carnage trailer. How was your guys' opinion of the first movie? Did you like it? Did you think it was okay? Did you not like it?

I personally don't really like Carnage's design. Spoilers ahead, be warned.

At the end shot after the scene with Mrs. Chen, it looked like he had 4 arms. I get that carnage shapeshifts, and is supposed to be a killing machine, and that he loves detachable weapons, but if you look at the part in the trailer where he has like... 7 diff limbs when he screams, it's f'in ridiculous.

They gave him over 7 limbs in that scene. I know he's supposed to have tentacles too, but hands and tentacles are different.

Anyways, to the story!

Eddie Brock was web swinging. He never thought he'd get to experience this feeling ever again, the rush, the adrenaline, he got from diving into the air and popping a web line at the last second.

But then he remembered who he was experiencing this feeling with, and all the joy that came from web swinging quickly dissipated, along with the symbiotes feelings of happiness. The symbiote was at first happy it got to bond with its favorite host, but a few seconds after first contact, it felt all of Eddie's regret and hate, which would normally be a good thing except that it was all directed to the symbiote.

And then it spawned, with a new symbiote. That it left with CLETUS FRIGGIN' KASADY!

'Okay, why are you here. Why did you get me. I know that you know that I don't need you anymore, so why are you still here. Also, I can read your thoughts too, its a 2 way street. I know that because I don't hate anymore, you are slowly killing me, as we speak. so I'm gonna give you 20 seconds to show me your memories since we lost to Parker at the school, or else this time you gonna die, for real.'

Eddie then landed at the bell tower where Peter took off the symbiote. Ready to punch the bell and get rid of it permanently, end this chapter in his life, finally.

But then the symbiote stopped him and agreed to show him it's memories. 'Fine! But after this you will explain what happened to our bond! I risked my life for you, Eddie!'

'Well Jeez! I'm flattered that an alien lunatic with a serious case of heartburn decided to risk its life for me! Now, show me'

'. . . well when you put it like that it doesn't sound that heroic. But fine' Venom said.

The symbiote then allowed Eddie access to its memories, showing him everything that happened during its time away from Eddie. it wasn't much. It just entered he sewer and stayed alive due to rats and other animals down there. Those animals were too small to gain large amounts of sustenance though, so it had taken some glances into society.

It bonded to a security guard from the institute, using his memory for information, and then started planning a way to break me out.

It was around this time it first started developing the spawn.

It started spawning, then jump ahead a few weeks, it breaks Eddie out, then it spawns.

By appearance, it had the same shade of black as Venom, but no spider symbol. Instead, it was pitch black with small, almost invisible white lines going through it.

'Now then, I believe that was everything. Now, explain everything from your side'

Eddie then showed everything that happened on his side of things. (A/N Cut! I'm not gonna show everything from Eddie's side of things as you already saw most of everything except for Peter's visits that were mentioned in the introductory/world building chapters, back to the story!)

The most intriguing part of Eddie's new memories were Parker's daily visits. It did notice that they were a big part in disrupting their bond of hate. The first visit was most intriguing. Set at the beginning of Summer break.

Approximately 2 months ago

"So, he's in that room, but uh. . . maybe be a lil' bit careful. He's been whispering your name in his sleep. Are you really sure you wanna do this? Being in the same room as Venom? No guards? No security? No anything?"

"First off, he's not Venom. He's Eddie Brock. He's my brother in everything but blood. I know him, he won't hurt me. And if that's your mindset for this job doc, go quit and let Doctor. Kafka take over. from what I hear, she actually wants to help the people here."

"Fine, fine. Whatever you say" The doctor then walked out of the room, and seemingly left. However, as he stepped out of the door, whispers and curses directed at Peter could be heard."

"Alright Eddie, come on. Don't let me down." Peter then took a deep breath and stepped inside. "Hey Eddie! How ya' doin'." Peter said.

"EDDIE! YOU DARE PARKER! WE ARE NOT EDDIE! WE WILL NEVER BE EDDIE AGAIN! WE, ARE VEN-"

"Yeah yeah, I know the drill, but how long are you really gonna act like this? Stop with the we's man, the symbiote already showed you that it was just using you, it never loved you from the start. How long are you gonna keep torturing yourself? You're just as smart as me Eddie, so cut the bullshit and stop acting like a lovesick puppy."

"Wow, somebody woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning." Eddie grumbled. "Fine, fine, ya got me. But you made a mistake coming here. We were your worst enemy. you will never have anybody worse than us on your case. So, what brings you here? Death? Come here to gloat? Did something nasty happen to puny Parker or has somebody else who so much sneezed next to ya' been dragged into your soap opera of a life?"

"Yes, no, yes, and no. Thanks for asking though, knew you still had some manners left."

Eddie then gave him a death glare. A very big one at that.

"Who died? Was it dear old Aunt May? I- oh wow! That feels so weird. How do you people say I with a straight face. Anyways, as I was saying, I would never hurt dear Aunt May, for real. She helped take care of me. Shame she has to have such a dick as a son."

Peter then grimaced at that. "Wow Eddie, closest thing you've done to damage since I got here. But jokes aside, you do realize that all the most of the messed up stuff I did to you was under the symbiotes influence right? You shouldn't fault me for that."

"Fine, now you cut the bullshit, why are you here?" Eddie was genuinely interested. He was the first visitor he had since getting in the institute, although he would rather be alone for the rest of his life than spend another minute with Parker, but sadly he didn't exactly have a choice.

"I'm here to make a friend."

"I am 5 seconds away from pulling my own ears off. Elaborate, now."

"Alright, alright, don't get your pants in a twist. I've been through a lot messed up stuff in the past few weeks, finding out that a friend was actually the daughter of the guy that killed my uncle, Gwen ditching me for Harry, Liz making me the most hated person in M3, and me . . . accidentally killing the green goblin, who's Harry's dad. After all that, I realized I took everything I had, despite not being much for granted, so I figured that the best way to start would be helping you."

Eddie then looked into Peter's eyes. They weren't like how they used to be. He could tell that Pete was telling the truth.

"Alright, I'll bite. I believe you. . . for now."

They both looked at the time, then realized that Peter had to go. Glass came out of the ground, separating the two of them. However, before the guards could come and take Peter out of there, he put his hand on the wall.

Eddie, realizing what he was trying to do, aligned his left with Peter's right hand.

"I'm gonna come visit everyday, and I'll book longer appointments okay? Stay safe, I'll come back tomorrow. And by the way, expect your doctor to be reassigned. Bye. . . bro."
