It is intended to be a very sweet and cute story about the couple, while also answering any questions like the transgender stuff or why Birdo was working for Wart. Chapter 6 Embarrassment and Delight.

(Yoshi's POV)

Yoshi: "Where is Birdo? It already FIVE! UGH! Me gotta go potty now! Me be right back out."

(Yoshi goes inside. After he is out of the bathroom there is a knock on the door.)

Yoshi: "Birdo!?"

(The door opens)

Jewel: "Hey Yoshi we're home!"

Happy: "We got a lot of watermelons for you! They were on special so we got the juicier ones!"

Yoshi: "Oh great!"

Happy: "Oh great?"

Yoshi: "uh... I mean GREAT! Now we can play a game!" (Yoshi tries to hide that he'd rather it be Birdo.)

Jewel: "Yoshi? Are you feeling ok? How's your head? Are you nauseated? Maybe we should go to the doctor."

Yoshi: "What? Why?"

Jewel: "This is the first time we got home and you didn't eat at least one watermelon!"

Yoshi: "Uh... Me not hungry."

Jewel: "I'm calling the doctor..." (Jewel takes out a cell phone)

Yoshi: "No! It... uh..."

Happy: "Is it something about that girl?"

Yoshi: "She supposed to be coming over but... She not here."

Jewel: "Why didn't you tell us first!?"

Yoshi: "W-well... It just..."

Happy: "By any chance... you know. Was Penny right about your feelings?"

Yoshi: "NO! Birdo feels so sad... She really hates her swyer syndrome. Me wanna cheer her up. Just... didn't think it would be nice to tell her secrets. But Birdo not here yet! Maybe something happen!"

Jewel: "You could've told us she was coming but not say the reason. The house is a MESS! There's toy swords, stuffed animals, games all over the place, especially in your room!"

Happy: "Oh come on! It's not every day you meet a depressed person like Birdo. Yoshi made a small mistake."

Jewel: "in any case, Yoshi just eat something!"

Yoshi: "No! Birdo be here any minute!"

Jewel: "You should eat... Nevermind. You'll wish you had"

Yoshi: "What that supposed to mean?"

Jewel: "You'll find out."

(Birdo is outside walking up the sidewalk)

Birdo: "Me super late so far. Cut on right cheek. Hopefully me not embarrass myself too much... not in front of my crush. *knock knock*"

Happy: "Wait! Maybe that is her now Yoshi!"

Yoshi: "M-me get it!"

Jewel: "Wait, if you need any advise on how to make her happy we can help!"

Yoshi: "No let her know parents know!"

(Yoshi opens the door)

Birdo: "H-hi Yosh-"

Yoshi: "WHAT HAPPEN TO BIRDO'S CHEEK!?"

Birdo: "Oh... it just me slip on sidewalk... it fine jus-"

(Yoshi runs off to get some cream)

Yoshi: "Got the cream!"

Birdo: "Yoshi! It FINE!"

(Jewel walks in)

Jewel: "Yoshi, what did I say about using your powers in the WHAT HAPPENED TO BIRDO!?"

(Yoshi squeezes on some cream)

Birdo: "It just me trip on sidewalk!"

Yoshi: "And now the bandaid!"

Birdo: "Yoshi! Stop embarrassing me!" (thinking: "great! my plan of not embarrassing myself in front of my crush is failing miserably! What else could go wrong?" Little did she know, the more she embarrassed herself, the closer Yoshi was to liking her)

Jewel: "That's a pretty deep cut! Are you sure it was just a trip!?"

Birdo: "Yeah. It not much..."

Yoshi: "There! Bandaid and cream!"

Birdo: "Ugh! Yoshi PLEASE!"

Yoshi: "Why Birdo so embarrassed over THAT? Me get bandaids all the time! Look at my cheek!"

Birdo: "Yoshi cut too?"

Yoshi: "Neah! That just from morning. Not as big as Birdo's. Ah come on! Forget it! Let's play that switch again!"

Birdo: "OK!"

(Yoshi and Birdo go sit on the couch while Jewel goes in the kitchen)

Yoshi: "Me set up the game!"

Birdo: "What's with the toy sword?"

Yoshi: "Oh... That... uh... me like to... You know... play like I hero..." (Yoshi blushes)

(Birdo picks it up)

Birdo: "Ever had a villain?"

Yoshi: "Not in long time. Me just play by self. Birdo not have to play with it if you not want to..."

(Birdo hits Yoshi with the sword)

Yoshi: "Hey!"

Birdo: "That just cause Megopolis is too scared to fight the great empress Alva!"

(Yoshi couldn't believe it! Birdo actually wanted to play pretend sword fight! He couldn't resist the temptation!)

Yoshi: "Neah! I just wanted to save Alta the embarrassment of losing!"

Birdo: "It's ALVA you loser! TAKE THIS!"

(Birdo swings at Yoshi who jumps over it and hits Birdo with his sword!)

Yoshi: "GOTCHA!"

Happy: "Hey! Don't break anything! Go in your room!"

Birdo: "I am in danger! I must retreat to... uh... time out... Where's Yoshi's room?"

Yoshi: "Down the hall... of heroes! With the blue bed sheets."

Birdo: "I must retreat to headquarters blue sheets! Follow if Megopolis DARES!"

Yoshi: "AAAARG!"

(Yoshi was having a BLAST! Birdo forgot all about her swyer syndrome or the bullies. Both felt like little kids again!)

Yoshi: "Take this!"

(Birdo picks up a pillow and blocks it.)

Birdo: "HAHA! My new titanium shield blocks plasma swords!"

Yoshi: "Crud! But me can throw this boomerang blaster!"

(Yoshi throws a plastic boomerand which hits Birdo from behind.)

Birdo: "Curses! It seems Alva has lost!"

Yoshi: "Alva will never harm the world again! Me always step up and-" (Yoshi's stomach growls LOUD!) "Uh... Please ignore that."

Birdo: "Hehe. Is Yoshi always hungry?"

Yoshi: "Uh... Usually..."

Birdo: "Aw! How about we eat then play?"

Yoshi: "Well..." (Then Birdo's stomach growls)

Birdo: "Er... Hehe."

Yoshi: "What Birdo eat before here?"

Birdo: "There some apples on tree where me live last night... They somehow not freeze. But me not eat anything since."

Yoshi: "Mama got some fruit! Even some peaches!"

Birdo: "Please lets eat!"

Yoshi: "OK!"

(Yoshi could hardly think! He was very studderish and would barely respond, almost like he was drunk. Yoshi was astonished that Birdo played like that with him! "Could Birdo really be the one?" Yoshi kept thinking. Meanwhile Birdo could only think about trying not to embarrass herself. "Yoshi liked to play with the swords. But does Yoshi also like tickling? No! Better not risk it. Maybe a pillow fight." Both walk into the kitchen where Jewel has 15 peaches out and 30 watermelons for Yoshi. Birdo has the biggest smile on her face. Almost as if all her problems had vanished when she played with Yoshi.)

Jewel: "If you two need anything else, they're outside in the garage, but I know Birdo's favorite food is peaches so I got as many as I could cold."

Birdo: "Thanks Jewel!"

Jewel: "Hey Birdo, how come you came here alone? I would never let Yoshi go anywhere without me. Where are your parents?"

Birdo: 'P-parents?" (Birdo's smile completely vanished. Jewel noticed it was because of her question.)

Jewel: "O-oh... Sorry."

Birdo: "No it just..."

Yoshi: "Where is Birdo mama and daddy?"

Birdo: "I... not have a mama... or daddy. Both murdered long time ago."

(Yoshi's mouth dropped.)

Yoshi: "M-murdered?"

Birdo: "Yeah..."

Jewel: "By who?"

(Birdo closed her eyes)

Birdo: "Wart! He killed em W-when I j-just a t-toddler! I only 4! He t-took m-me in and FO~ORCED ME TO W-WORK-KKHH"

(Birdo begins crying)

Jewel: "He kidnapped you!?"

Birdo: "Uhu~uhhahuh!" (The hhahuh! was supposed to suggest she is crying so hard her words are hard to get out.)

Yoshi: "He make Birdo his slave!?"

(That question just made Birdo cry even harder.)

Birdo:"I NO WANNA TA~ALK ABOUT THIS NO MORE!"

(Yoshi puts his arms around Birdo and hugs her)

Yoshi: "I so sorry. Me never gonna let Wart kidnap Birdo again!"

Birdo: "That w-what mama said... I just..."

(Birdo's crying turns uncontrollable and tears on the floor form into a puddle.)

Yoshi: "I so sorry... Maybe..."

Jewel: "Birdo? I know one person who can help you!"

Birdo: "HM?"

(Birdo opens her eyes and looks up.)

Yoshi: "Oh yeah! Jesus always help! Just tell Jesus to help!"

Birdo: "J-Jesus?"

Jewel: "Jesus is a wonderful man who will do anything for us. He is in another place right now, but he can affect the whole world with just a touch. He loves you Birdo!"

Birdo: "Why he not do something already then!?"

Yoshi: "W-well... then Birdo never know us..."

Birdo: "hm. Me just want it to end! All the meanies!"

Yoshi: "Just ask Jesus to help!"

Birdo: "How?"

Yoshi: "He can hear Birdo from right here! Just say "Jesus help me!""

Birdo: "Fine. Hope he does. "Jesus help me."... just feels like there never a reason."

Yoshi: "Never reason for what?"

Birdo: "Kidnapping, swyer syndrome, bullies. WHY ALL GOTTA HAPPEN TO ME!?"

(Birdo's stomach growls louder then before.)

Birdo: "Great! W-why couldn't it have do-n-ne that lat-ter?" (Birdo blushes from embarrassment)

Yoshi: "What done what later?"

Birdo: "My tummy! Yoshi not hear that? Just so embarrassing! I try so hard not to embarrass myself here and me already came in with cut on cheek, nothing to eat, and now me being a big crybaby!"

Yoshi: "I not find anything Birdo did embarrassing. If me lose my mama and daddy, me cry too. Stop being so hard on self. It ok."

(Birdo's stomach growls again. Birdo blushes harder.)

Birdo: "Ugh!"

Yoshi: "So what? It fine Birdo! Yoshi's tummy growled earlier too and usually more then that... Please Birdo! No be so sad. Just be happy like earlier with the swords."

Birdo: "Yoshi actually like that?"

Yoshi: "Me never had so much fun since me 7 years old!"

Birdo: "Yoshi not just doing that because me started it?"

(Birdo stopped crying and that smile was coming back.)

Yoshi: "Birdo kidding right? That was WONDERFUL! Me wanna play again after eat!"

Birdo: "R-really?"

Yoshi: "YES! Let's hurry!"

Birdo: "OK!... maybe Jesus really did send Yoshi to me to help."

(Birdo's full smile returned.)

Yoshi: "There that smile that so cu- um, let's eat."

(Yoshi was about to say cute. Birdo didn't question it because she didn't want to bring up something when Yoshi just helped her. Yoshi thought: "What a sad past. Me really want to help Birdo. But, she also so fun! Can me help her and like her too? Is Birdo really the one? Me gotta be on best guard. So me gonna eat watermelons normally, Birdo might not like bad manners." Yoshi was biting into the watermelons instead of lapping them up with his tongue)

Birdo: "Why Yoshi not eating with tongue?"

Yoshi: "Um... isn't it bad manners?"

Birdo: "Oh come on! Me wanna see how fast Yoshi can eat!"

Yoshi: "Uh OK!" (Yoshi lapped his tongue around two watermelons and gulped them down in one swallow)

Yoshi: "Alright! Birdo's turn!"

Birdo: "Yoshi! You know me can't eat like Yoshi! But me can do one thing!"

(Birdo opened her mouth and started sucking in air. 2 peaches appeared to magically fly off the table into her mouth.)

Yoshi: "HOW BIRDO DO THAT!?"

Birdo: "Oh silly! It not that cool! All pink yoshis have the power of wind. I just vacuumed them up!"

Yoshi: "I not know that!"

Birdo: "About how many watermelons can Yoshi swallow in one bite?"

Yoshi: "Most 5."

Birdo: "DO IT!"

Yoshi: "OK!" (Yoshi lapped his tongue around 5. He tried to get them all in one line. Pulled his tongue in and bit down. Accidentally spewing the juice over the table and Birdo.)

Yoshi: "oh! uh... I not mean to do that..."

Birdo: "hehehe! So what?" (Wiping the juice from her face) "It kinda funny!"

(Yoshi thought "kinda funny!? That exactly what kids say! Yoshi looking so long for childish grown up girl and here she is IN MY HOUSE! Me gotta have Birdo now! I wrong earlier she SO CUTE!" While thinking that his eyes went into a trance and he stared into the abyss)

Birdo: "These peaches really juicy too! *bites* Me can swallow only one whole. *swallow* But me never be good as Yoshi! Yoshi best eater! Right?... Yoshi? Uh... Yoshi? YOSHI! HEY!" (Waived her hand in front of his face.) "YOOOOOSHI! WOO HOO!" (shook him) "HEY YOSHI!"

Yoshi: "AH! what happened?"

Birdo: "Yoshi ok?"

Yoshi: "Yeah! Birdo just caught Yoshi in daydream! I uh... remembered something! Just uh... flashback!"

Birdo: "Flashback?" (Not buying it.)

Yoshi: "Yeah! That all!"

Birdo: "hm... ok"

(Birdo thought "Flashback? To what? Food? Either Yoshi is nuts over food, or he thinking about something... embarrassing. Could Yoshi... like me?" *Looks at Yoshi* "Neah. No way. He just embarrassed about food stuff. He not want to embarrass himself either... Wait! Why not? Me not want to embarrass myself because Yoshi is SO CUTE! Yoshi same way?")
